    Sandman arrested

Well, being buried and released from WWE was probably enough to make him crawl back in a bottle. Come to think of it, Dreamer is the only original still left.

    WWE Great American Bash 2008

I think the GAB has been good for 3 years now. The 2006 show had King Booker win the belt, and end Rey's horrible run, the next year's show wasn't that bad even though I remember nothing about it, and I thought this year's show was pretty good. Hell, they even had the Punjabi Prison match on the 2006 show! The 2005 show however was an abomination. If it wasn't for Hassan being buried and released from the company later, that would have been the worst PPV ever.

Does anyone else think that the voice of Scarface the dummy from the animated series sounds like Tom Seizmore?

    WWE Raw (7/21/2008)

I don't think there will be a elimination chamber. It most likely will be a 4-way with Punk/Batista/JBL/Cena. Kane will most likely do a run-in AGAIN, and start a program with Batista. Jericho is probably going to be in a blindfold match with Michaels at SS, so there isn't really a sixth guy to put in the EC. I could see them putting Mysterio in it, but Rey deserves nothing resembling a push at this point. Oh wait, when is Orton coming back?

    The Dark Knight

Isn't that guy thats the Ventriloquist, from the Hellboy movies? I think the best choice for Harley Quinn is obviously Britney Murphy. She has the same exact voice!!!

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

Your exactly right. I too have found Kaz to be a great worker ever since I first saw him in 2002, but the guy is bland as hell. I did find him pretty good on the mic though, while he was on Velocity for a few weeks.

    Question about PWI 500

This just proves how bad wrestling is these days, although Raw has become a great show the past few weeks... until Orton comes back.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

Russo has tried this since his WCW days, and it didn't get over then either. I read in the Death of WCW book that once he took over as the writer in late 99, he was obsessed with doing shoot angles, thinking that every wrestling fan read the internet and knew everything about the business. It turned out that only maybe 5% of the fans knew what was going on, so everyone else was confused, and the people that did get the jokes thought they were stupid anyway.

    Watchmen

This sounds pretty cool. Can someone explain what the smiley face logo means?

I was only 7 at the time, and I still remember it. Its kind of hard to forget anything about that movie actually. I wish I could, but I can't.

    Box Office Report...

Imagine if TDK opened when nothing else was out, like Spider-Man 3 did. This probably would have made $200M. I think Batman is everybody's favorite superhero deep down inside, but Spider-Man's movies made a bunch of money simply because Batman was absent from movies for about 8 years, and Batman & Robin was terrible. Therefore people were excited to see a Spider-Man movie and people started to get into him. After that awful 3rd movie though, I think people wanted a much more hardcore superhero, and since Batman was facing off against the Joker again, everyone got excited.

    The Dark Knight

I think what Nolan's trying to tell you from having the fake Batmen in TDK, is that Batman has inspired people, but mostly a new breed of criminal. Enter the Joker. The Riddler and Catwoman fit well into this theme, which is why I think they should be in the next movie. I think this theme was in the Long Halloween as well. Its the price Batman has to pay for fighting crime, because he inspires a new breed of criminal (his rogue gallery).

    TSM Tape Club #2

Yeah, Uncensored 2000 is a show that gets better on repeat viewings. Souled Out 2000 is probably really awful, but I also think Superbrawl 2000 sounds like the worst PPV ever just from looking at the card.

    Impact Spoilers for 7/24

Holy shit, thats an awesome gimmick match. Booker/Joe don't seem like the right kind of guys to be in that match though. It would make more sense if it were high-flying guys.

    WWE Great American Bash 2008

From watching this PPV, Smackdown is a finished show. There is going to be nothing interesting on that show at all now. I mean who wants to see Edge/Vickie have a feud? The crowd won't get behind either one of them, and I also hate the storyline of Taker coming back as a pawn for Vickie, its just so wrong. This Divas title was the most worthless thing created, although I did like that match last night, but it was too short. Its kind of ironic that everything is flipped upside down. For years, Raw was the show that had nothing interesting, and Smackdown was the show that was entertaining. Now those shows are complete opposites of each other. I blame HHH.

    The Dark Knight

Yeah, that kinda reminded me of knightfall with Batman Begins. I think Talia is pretty much worthless though without Ra's Al Ghul. Catwoman/Selina Kyle would make a much more logical choice.

    Watchmen

I actually like that song, but its just funny when your going to see The Dark Knight, and yet there's something that reminds you of Batman & Robin. Once I realized it was that song, I was almost laughing hysterically.

    The Dark Knight

Tobin Bell, WTF? Didn't Bob Hoskins express huge interest in wanting to play the Penguin? I heard he also wanted to do it because he wanted to work with Nolan as well, so I would cast him. I doubt we will ever see that shit again. Its pretty obvious that Nolan respects the characters.

    Box Office Report...

Yeah, but the Mummy Returns struck while the iron was hot. I guess you could count the Scorpion King as well, and even it came out the next year. There's no large gap in between those movies, because if there was, people would lose interest. I think pretty much everyone has lost interest in the series now.

    Watchmen

I saw the trailer for this before The Dark Knight, and I didn't think this trailer looked very good ( and it didn't help it had the song from Batman & Robin!). I think the movie might be good, since I think it will have stunning visuals, but I pretty much know nothing about Watchmen, and a lot of people keep saying its pretty much unfilmable, so that doesn't look like a good sign. Is the plot of Watchmen something about superheroes that really exist in an alternate reality 1985?

    The Dark Knight

The L.A. Times had an article about "who will Batman fight next?" It was pretty interesting to read, they had 8 villains of choice: The Riddler, Bane, Black Mask, Hush, The Ventriloquist, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, and Catwoman. I would be pretty interested in seeing the Ventriloquist get film treatment, since I think he would be a good follow-up to the disturbing and haunting tone of The Dark Knight, and also like The Dark Knight, it would make a great psychological movie too. After all, I did think the Ventriloquist had the best episode in the animated series.

    Box Office Report...

I don't think that Mummy movie is going to beat out The Dark Knight at all, I have zero interest in seeing that. Since its been years since there was a Mummy movie, how many people still care about it? I think the movies that have the best shot at beating out The Dark Knight is either Tropic Thunder (looks hiarious!) or Pineapple Express (also looks very funny). Why in the hell is there another X-Files movie??? I mean really, who gives a shit?
  23. DarKnight

    The Dark Knight

I agree with you, people are going way to far for ideas in the next movie. I think its going to be something like the Riddler as the main villain, Catwoman as the bizarre love interest, and maybe have the Penguin as as his comics characterization, and have him be an arms dealer. Maybe have Batman get information about criminals from him, since he knows every scum in the city. The Riddler would be re-imagined of course, just like Nolan made the Joker, very true to the comics, but gives a realistic spin to them.
  24. DarKnight

    The Dark Knight

This is the sad thing about the Riddler. Most people in the normal public don't realize how much potential he has as a villain. The criminal mastermind Riddler would work very well with the tone of the series.

    The Dark Knight

Nolan's Batman movies are better on repeat viewings. I liked Begins and I LOVED The Dark Knight at first viewing, I will most likely enjoy this more on repeat viewings, since I can pick up more details. I too will probably watch this movie all the time when it comes out on DVD. I don't know why some people say this movie wasn't fun. The action scenes were much better than Begins, and it had a lot of mind games that were fun to watch. I also liked how this movie was very scary at parts too, like The Joker's theme which sounds like a siren getting louder and louder, you knew something bad was about to happen to somebody. Did anyone else think that was effective?
