Brutus Beefcake knocks up super model?
DarKnight replied to BruteSquad_BRODY's topic in General Wrestling
Wasn't Ed Leslie "Run-In Man" as well? Damn, you know you have a lot of gimmicks when "Run-In Man" is one of them. He's pretty much had every gimmick except "Who?". -
Max Payne being PG-13 is laughable. Its very obvious judging from the previews that the movie is meant to be rated R, but of course, since its based off a video game, Hollywood had to have it be PG-13. I think September and October have to be the worst months for movies, since there is usually nothing good out every year during those months. This weekend's box office report pretty much confirms it.

I think the Sheik said on Howard Stern that he means he's going to use a beer bottle for his "humbling".
-
I like how in the Sheik's response, he threatens Scott Hall almost word for word the same way he threatened B. Brian Blair! He said the same stuff like "I'll suplex you, put you in the camel clutch, break your back, fuck your ass, and make you HUMBLE!!!"
-
Why? Plenty of others have stated their opinion in this thread about Hall's actions and the Owen joke, so I did too. I also heard a hilarious rant the Iron Sheik did in response to the Hall incident and it was really funny. It surprised me when he said he may have more respect for B. Brian Blair over Hall at this point.
-
This doesn't surprise me at all. The past few months, I've thought that Lance Cade was a little distracting in the Jericho/Michaels feud, even at times forgeting he was with Jericho. So, the guy is boring, and well, he just didn't have a chance.
-
I'm a moron for just saying how I feel? I know anything goes in a roast, but I was just saying what things I think are not called for. I'm not offended to the Owen joke to the point where I would attack anybody, but I just thought it was not right. Also with Benoit, he's not exactly "respected" right now, so I don't think that many people would get offended at jokes about him.
-
Santino is actually treated like a joke though, Taylor isn't. We're actually supposed to like Taylor, even though she has pretty much killed a division to the point where I don't care about it, and yes, like others have said, she is getting shoved down our throats, since she has no memorable offense or finisher, yet she keeps winning.
-
I've actually heard about that Berlyn/Duggan incident, and I thought it made Berlyn look bad since you can obviously tell that Duggan didn't want to put him over, and Bagwell didn't either, so Alex Wright was basically screwed at that point, since so many guys had an issue about jobbing to him.
-
Completely agree. TNA has an illness of pushing ANYONE who was in WWE, no matter if they are washed up, or a jobber. And having outside celebrities on a show that Russo writes is just scary, like the Pacman Jones fiasco. I know it was Jarrett's idea to bring him in, but it had to be Russo that wanted a tag title put on him.
-
Well, I just think it shouldn't involve using dead people, especially someone respected like Owen.
-
It was really funny how fanofcoils kept constantly changing the topic of the thread from "guys who no sold a PPV" to "guys who no showed a PPV" to somehow ending up talking about "wrestling fantasy matches". WTF? I guess his original intent was "guys who knew a PPV was happening, but just didn't care, and didn't show up". In that case, I guess Nash is the only guy who really did just no sell a PPV, with Starrcade 97 and that one TNA PPV in 2006.
-
I'm for Hall on this as well. I don't think guys should make offensive jokes like that to make fun of somebody, even if it is a roast. I don't mind people making fun of somebody really bad, but don't make tasteless jokes about the dead to do it.
-
I'm starting to wonder if TNA will ever get above the 1.0 ratings to at least a 2.0? And I have no problem with Mongo being the ref either at the PPV, but it seems like TNA does this stuff way too much, with either former wrestlers or celebrities. I mean, WWE doesn't do it THAT much.
-
I think I may have seen that Kizarny guy on OVW a couple of times when he was called Nick Sinn or something. God, I can't believe its been about a year now that Vickie has been the GM of Smackdown. Vickie seriously needs to get off TV, because its becoming obvious that WWE doesn't want to get rid of her, yet she has nothing to provide anymore, or maybe the begin with. See the Vickie angle was good at first with Edge involved, but once I knew that angle would end, Vickie would have no point being on TV.

The moment your favorite superstar or any wrestler jumped the shark
DarKnight replied to Boxer's topic in General Wrestling
Some people could even point out that the NWO may have jumped the shark either when they added too many people, or when they feuded with the Wolfpack, and of course, the fingerpoke of doom. -
That part where Stunt Granny did the joke conversation with Nash and fanofcoils was hilarious!

I know I'm going to sound like a lunatic for saying this, but I actually find 2001 to be the last good year in wrestling. There was a bunch of great matches that year, and while everyone seems to hate the Invasion storyline, there was a lot better angles on TV then, than there is now. I really had no problem with the WWF jobbing out all of the WCW guys, because they would have been putting guys over from a company that went out of business, and its not like they had any of WCW major players at that point anyway. -
It amazes me that TNA actually thinks people still care or remember him. I know the show is in Chicago, but still.
-
The Brie Bella angle is annoying because why is the twin much more dominant? She comes in, does one roll-up pin, and the match is over, there's no reason why that should happen. I'm already starting to think WWE might blow it with R-Truth, because they had the perfect opportunity to let him cut a promo, but instead they had him say "wassup!" to Shelton, and then he walks away. Not to mention, his vingettes, and his character on TV don't match at all.
-
MVP is a very odd case, as in, I can't think of any match he's won this year besides beating Hardy at SS, but yet, he doesn't come off like he's being depushed either. I think WWE should just put the title on Hardy anyway. If he does something wrong, just take it off of him. I've kinda wondered if he had the title, that might make him less of a screw up and he might get his act together.
-
Exactly. I've thought Smackdown has been boring ever since they did the whole Edge/Vickie breakup angle, because I knew it couldn't lead to anything good.
-
Well, I personally think that Michaels has been involved in the only things worth watching on Raw this year, with the storyline's with Flair/Batista/Jericho, and whenever I see Orton, I feel like changing the channel.
-
Jericho right now is a million years better than Orton, in terms of character and in the ring. Michaels is better than Orton, and Edge before his current absence was a lot better than Orton too.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Rey's Flash, Daredevil, and Spider-Man costumes were pretty cool. I think he also wore a Fantastic Four costume at SummerSlam 2005 as well.
