I'd like to think that nobody would seriously try to give Russo any sort of credit with the buys for Bound For Glory or Genesis. Kurt Angle was the dynamic that boosted the buys for BFG and Genesis. As much of a problem as Russo is, and he is a problem, as much blame should go with Jarrett and Mantell for not putting their foot down and stopping some of this nonsense from making the air.

I'd consider the timing of this . He's got one fight left before he's out of contract with UFC. UFC needs stars, and Matt is one of them which he knows. Call me suspicious but I'd say he's just trying to get a better deal for his next contract.

UFC are, it seems, buying another MMA promotiom. Quite why they should is another matter. WEC aren't the big league, so it's not like they're direct competition. You can only assume it's down to the HD TV WEC has, because other than that it would only make sense if UFC consider WEC a potential threat and they aren't yet. What if they changed the format to 1 hour of pushing angles and 1 hour of pure wrestling where the angles actually payoff? To me it looks like the matches and the championship belts for that matter are nothing but props from the next storyline. So far its been nothing but a revolving door of storylines with short matches that don't have closure to all of the buildup. No way will 'creative' be able to do one hour of pure wrestling. Giving TNA a two-hour slot for Impact will only see them try to cram even more stuff into the show. The problems with TNA have nothing to do with Impact being one hour, two hours, or even three. The problem is the booking, and it's a problem that isn't going to be fixed anytime soon.

Wouldn't it be great to see the show in its natural state instead of it being edited to hell due to time restraints? Whether they had two hours or one, things would still be rushed. TNA had a two-hour slot for their prime time special, which people said would help with the problem they had with having to rush things, and they don't have to rush things but that's another story, so what happened? They rushed things by trying to cram four-hours worth of stuff into a two-hour slot. TNA will rush things whether they have a one-hour or two-hour show. They need to get that habit under control first and until they do it won't matter how long Impact is.

The latest Observer says the current talk has Batista vs. Undertaker happening at Wrestlemania with Batista winning the title before then to make it Title vs. Streak, and the plan as it is now has Batista going over.
