To be fair, Orton does get a reaction. It's just nowhere near the level of reaction they want him to get, and I don't see this feud with DX helping. I think Orton's at Maximum Reaction Level.

This is maybe why Meltzer was always vague about the reasoning for his suspension. Meltzer wasn't vague about the suspension. He was at first, but then said Orton was suspended because of so many incidents regarding his behavior and that the company felt they had no choice after Orton violated the wellness policy by openly smoking a joint. As for Orton's suspension being a work to "further his badboy image", why? It's not like they've done anything on TV with Orton to make him out to be a bad boy since he came back. Would they really not put the World title on him just to further an intricate angle designed, it seems, to work the 'smart' fans only to then not do anything with it when he came back? They wanted to push him hard, and were going to put the World Title him at their biggest show of the year. Did they suddenly decide not to do that because they wanted to further a non-existent storyline with an angle aimed at insider fans that wound up meaning nothing? Until they put Orton and Edge together on Raw on Monday, they've done nothing of real value with Orton since he came back. Does that look like the kind of treatment you give someone that, if you believe this "PA", you went to the trouble of working such a subtle angle for, that was meant to work so few people? And It's not like Orton needs a worked suspension to further his reputation for being a prick. And people seem real eager to believe this PA, it seems, just to want to think Meltzer got worked. Maybe the PA got worked by people. Or maybe he's just working everyone else.

    Ultimate Fight Night VII

For Males 18-34, it beat the playoffs by 500,000 viewers. Believe it or not, there are people playing down the rating saying they should have done better.
  5. Hunter's Torn Quad

    Ultimate Fight Night VII

Well, The Torch is apparently saying the Tito/Ken fight did a 4.3, but even that is a great number for UFC.

    OAO ECW on Sci-Fi Thread - October/10th/2006.

I'd like to hold some sense of hope that this would send a message to WWE, but it's Vince... So, probably not. They should. A breakdown of the numbers: Vince usually pays attention to numbers, and he should make note of these, but he likely won't.

    OAO ECW on Sci-Fi Thread - October/10th/2006.

And for those interested, Ultimate Fight Night VII did a 3.1, with Ken/Tito apparently getting a 4.3

    Ultimate Fight Night VII

    Confirmed, or early estimate? Confirmed.

    Ultimate Fight Night VII

3.1, destroying all UFC records badly. Ken and Tito must have done some huge numbers. And The Torch is saying Ken/Tito did a 4.3.

    OAO ECW on Sci-Fi Thread - October/10th/2006.

And for all of that, the rating was 1.7.

oldskool Mild beating? Undertaker sold virtually nothing, bounced back in no time from what he did sell, and Cena acted like a frightened child. I can understand Undertaker not selling offense from most people, but he's in the ring with the WWE Champion. At least make it look like the champion of the company can give Undertaker a run for his money. And why is Cena acting like he's scared shitless? It's one thing to look like you know you're in for a fight, but Cena looked like he was about to get the shit kicked out of him and there was nothing he could do about it. That's fine for a midcard heel, but Cena is the WWE Champion and their franchise player. Explain to me the logic in making your champion and franchise player act, look and get treated like he's a midcard nobody. And big deal if he made the 'B' level stars run and/or tap out. The damage was done.

3.8. No way can they be happy with that number after all the hype. The two regular hours did a 4.1 average, and the 3.2 first hour dragged down the average. For the two hours, it is a good number opposite football, but nothing compared to the similar show last year. From Meltzer.

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

For the record, Nash's first Impact match EVER was this past June. He never wrestled on Impact during the FSN era.

He also had a stint in the FSN era where he lost to everybody and anybody including Monty Brown and KIP JAMES. Seriously, this guy is one of the biggest names of the 90's and he jobs to those schmucks and people still have the audacity to call him selfish. Huh? He never worked a match against either as far as I recall. He didn't. But I don't think facts are that important to some people.

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

I don't think he wants to see that. Nash helped bury numerous wrestlers during his promotion killing reign in WCW and Jacques actually acts outraged over people calling Nash selfish.

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

Meltzer never said it was phony. Nobody in TNA believed his excuse, beause he has a track record of finding ways to get out of matches he's booked to do the clean job in. Even those in TNA who defended Nash and the angle in the first place were angry with Nash and didn't even try to defend him on this one. It's not like, as you seem to want to believe, that people are making up reasons to hate on Nash.

That's part of the deal too, but what happens on USA and NBC are different parts of the deal.

OAO Raw Family Reunion Thread - October/9th/2006.

They can't. WWE was entitled to 4 NBC specials under their new agreement. They're entitled to two SNME's a year on NBC. How come they get stuff like the Family Reunion, WWE .VS. ECW Head To Head, etc. on the USA Network, what's the deal with those? Those are on USA. All WWE get on NBC are two SNME's a year, and they don't even get the guarantee of what timeslot they're given. The next SNME could be on at 2am if NBC wanted.

TNA Impact Spoilers for 10/14 and 10/21

Yes, it is. They weren't happy he strung them along with a promise he'd do the job to Sabin at the PPV, and then mysteriously had to pull out at literally the last minute. Whether Nash should have jobbed to Sabin or not, pulling that kind of stunt is beyond unprofessional, but it's typical behavior from Nash.

OAO Raw Family Reunion Thread - October/9th/2006.

They can't. WWE was entitled to 4 NBC specials under their new agreement. They're entitled to two SNME's a year on NBC. And for a Raw treated like something special, the main event was a disaster. Undertaker treats Cena like a jobber, Cena acts like a jobber, a cheap DQ finish, and all in five minutes. Could they not have just put all three champions together in a six-man against Hardy, Van Dam and Undertaker? Make it like this big Raw deserves the first time ever that the WWE, World and ECW Champion have all teamed up, but then have their ego's prove too big and cause a no-contest? At least then you wouldn't have Cena, who is meant to be treated like he's the next Steve Austin, getting treated like he's the next Mike Sharpe.

IRS was reportedly being considered for a road agent position, so it makes sense for him to be there. There is no such thing as an agent now. They're producers.

Logically, Cena should pin Undertaker so that all three champions have won and, theoretically, are on the same level. Which won't happen, but it should.
