    UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar

After getting completely destroyed by Penn, it's going to be hard to market Joe as having any kind of a chance.

The eyes of dos Anjos has he fell were like something out of a cartoon.

That was a good little fight. Matt Brown showed heart, that's for sure.

    UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar

That was a really good first round, and Matt Brown showed a lot of determination in keeping in the fight.

Gonzaga totally outclassed Hendricks. Hendricks looked obviously disheartened when he couldn't take Gonzaga down.

Maia totally controlled Quarry. A few more wins and he'll make for a very dangerous challenger for whoever the champion is

    UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar

After the talk coming out of the weigh-in, I'm picking Randy to win by TKO in the third or fourth round. I think Brock dominates for the first two rounds and hammers the crap out of Randy, but Randy hangs in there and the combination of frustration and nerves causes Brock to gas out and Randy picks him apart for the win. I really want Brock to win this, but coming out of the weigh-in, and the heavy talk of a hamstring injury, I think Randy gets the win. The great thing about this fight is that, aside from a Brock getting a submission hold on for the tapout, any ending to a fight can realistically take place here. Randy could KO Lesnar, if only because Lesnar's chin is untested and he could have a glass jaw for all we know. Brock could KO Randy because he hits so hard, and if he hits Randy with a punch like the one that decked Herring, especially on the ground, then it could be lights out. Randy has some submission ability, albeit not extensive, and that, combined with Brock's inexperience could give Randy a chance for the submission win. Randy could TKO Brock if Brock gets frustrated enough that he throws strategy and common sense out the wind and gets caught in a situation he would normally have avoided. Brock could very easily TKO Randy simply by muscling down and G&P'ing Randy into oblivion. Or we could see a very tactical and reserved fight from both men, where they simply try to not lose rather than win (see: Severn vs. Shamrock II), and the decision goes to whoever avoids making those big mistakes. Another thing about this one is how virtually everyone who has made a prediction is totally convinced that their pick is going to win and seems to be of the opinion that the other guy is, at best, a longshot to win.

If wrestling teaches us anything, it's that it's almost nothing but high school level bullshit.

If you really are better than the majority, chances are that, unless you have a quality management like, your role is going to be to make others look good.

The Sarah Palin deal makes TNA look second rate in many ways. First, they're trying to associate with a generally unpopular loser who even her own party are knocking for being a hotheaded idiot. Second, when they get knocked back, it makes TNA look second rate when even a highly publicized loser wants nothing to do with them. Third, these kind of attempts at publicity only make the company look desperate for attention, and that's not how you want people to view your company. TNA should have made a play for Obama to do something, even if it is just a video message. Obama would turn them down just like Palin will, but at least then they'd be trying to associate with a winner and not a loser. The fact that some people, even those who should know better, are giving Nash the benefit of the doubt on this one is mind boggling.

What I find interesting is that Kozlov and Hardy have both faced Undertaker to build towards facing Triple H at Survivor Series, yet it was Hardy who got the pin over Undertaker as part of the build of Undertaker's program and Kozlov was the one laid out afterwards for no reason.

Except that whenever WWE show the Obama and McCain videos at live tapings before the shows begin, Obama gets wildly cheered and McCain gets booed out of the building. I wouldn't expect a positive reaction for Palin.

    TNA Turning Point 2008...

Abyss and Joe both had hard fought matches right before that. Christian is part of MEM, for now at least. Also, it wasn't like the MEM was out there for the whole match. AJ only has three friends? Was Eric Young's speech earlier in the PPV just hot air? This was there chance to show their mettle. There's also the small fact that there is supposed to be a whole locker room of wrestlers up in arms over the MEM. And it doesn't matter if the MEM weren't out for the whole match. How many times in wrestling have we seen a heel faction come out to interfere only for a group of babyfaces quickly run in to even the odds? They didn't even come out to have a stand off with the MEM.

Discussion: Bluring / Removing "WWF" and scratch logos from

I tried to see if I could dispute this and you are right. I haven't heard them say World Wrestling Entertainment Champion EVER! I believe they have used the term at least once. I remember Undertaker using it when doing a promo about challenging Hulk Hogan back in 2002, in a match that you have to see just because of how terrible it was.

Dykstra needs a few years in Japan to tighten his game up and, hopefully, change his attitude.

    Christian Cage / WWE

If Christian does return to WWE, he'll get a strong push for the first couple of months, if that, and then they'll cool him off and slot him back in the top of the midcard position they've always seen him in.
