    ROH on HDNET Tapings Results

Mike Johnson is reporting that, to no surprise, TNA have pulled their talent from ROH because of the HDNet show. Has anyone got a link to somewhere to download the first show?

WWE General Discussion - March 2009

It's actually Vince that can't get over it. How many times has he used the Montreal ending in the storylines now? For all the talk of Bret's whining, he doesn't really talk about it as much as people think now, and has said in the past he's sick of people bringing it up. He's obviously pissed at Shawn and WWE for a lot things, and the screwjob is just one of them, rather than the main reason. This was also talked about at The Board, and Meltzer posted about it: I know we'll get the people still insisting Bret 'can't get over Montreal', but that's straight from someone spoke to Bret regularly, and would know better than most.

Unfair to Flair: Celebrating The Worst of The Nature Boy

It was a surprise that Flair actually won that one, as Vince had previously stated that if he and Flair ever wrestled that he (Vince) would have to win as Vince was too big for anyone to believe that Flair could really beat him.

Unfair to Flair: Celebrating The Worst of The Nature Boy

Don't forget the nWo beating up Flair and burying him in the desert, with Flair crawling out, making his way back to the arena, only to get destroyed again.

He got the book again in early 1994, just before Superbrawl.

Unfair to Flair: Celebrating The Worst of The Nature Boy

Why would you call Flair a terrible booker? His run in the NWA from mid-1989 to early 1990 got both good ratings and a strong product.

WrestleMania Roundtable Part Four:2000 to 2004

Really? The only one in the chat who hated on that match was HTQ...who I admit really hated on it. I'd like to see his argument on why its a negative star match. I've only seen the match once, having hated it so much that I had less than no interest in watching it again. I hated it for a variety of reasons, some invoking more vitriol than others. First, Flair's offense just wasn't credible in any way. His offense was almost entirely chops, punches and kicks, and with Flair the size and age he is, against Undertaker the size he is, it just wasn't believable. It would be one thing of it was all stiff and laid in hard, but it was typical Flair offense and that just isn't credible against Undertaker. Second, and this might have been because of the first reason or simply because he wasn't feeling it, but Undertaker wasn't selling much in that match. No matter what Flair did, it never seemed like Undertaker was hurt, was on defense or was in any danger of getting beaten. It was as if he was just letting Flair do his thing and just taking it without putting it over. Third, the match was so slow and wrestled at a terribly unexciting pace. It felt like it was at least thirty minutes that I was surprised to find out it actually eighteen minutes, which was far too long as it is for a match between these two. Fourth, and you hated this too, but Flair was made into a total bitch, both in the storyline and this match. Undertaker punked Flair out for almost the entire feud, punks him out for most of the match by selling almost nothing and then pins him clean. I wanted Flair to win, because Undertaker had taken almost the whole feud and you were dying for Flair to get revenge, but no. And while I could have tolerated Undertaker winning had the match been more competitive in some fashion, any fashion, the fact that Undertaker dominated the entire feud, match and finish, while playing Superman almost all the way, just totally turned me off this wretched affair. As I recall, I went with minus three stars, and recapping it as I have, I feel I was far too generous.

Bobby Lashley makes MMA debut on December 13th...

Lashley wins all three rounds. Lashley should great composure when caught in the guillotine, because it's easier for rookies to panic and make things worse and up tapping. Other than the obvious instances of inexperience, Lashley looked very good for someone in only their second fight.

Another round for Lashley. Inexperience clearly showing but Lashley shows a lot of promise.

Bobby Lashley makes MMA debut on December 13th...

Guida should be thankful the fight is taking place in a ring or he'd have been taken down by now. First round to Lashley, but he wasn't able to do much because the ring and rules prevented him from doing so.

    TNA Impact - March 26, 2009

I don't think anybody has said that TNA should live in a bubble. What they have said, however, is that TNA should be careful as to how and when they take jabs at WWE. And knocking the biggest show of the year comes off as ridiculous, especially when TNA are so minor league in comparison. At least Eric Bischoff had the sense to wait until WCW and WWF were on comparatively equal footing before taking his shots.

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

I highly doubt Vince would book an elimination where Chris Jericho eliminates both Kane and Undertaker at the same time? Another monster might get such a privilege, but not Jericho.

    TNA Impact - March 26, 2009

The right year to say it would be when TNA are equal to WWE. And more people are excited for this years Wrestlemania than Lockdown or any match on it. Hell, there are probably going to be more people at Wrestlemania than are excited for Lockdown or any match on it.

    TNA Impact - March 26, 2009

The spoilers that vanished said this: It would be a bit of a stretch at the best of times for anyone in TNA to say that their upcoming PPV match is being talked about more than that months WWE PPV. But to say something like that the month of Wrestlemania? That's just absurd, because no TNA PPV match is going to be talked about more than Wrestlemania. Which is why people ripped into it. If TNA want to brag, it's a good idea to keep it realistic.

Why should they give them a chance? Maybe because one of them almost broke his neck for their entertainment only the year before? I shouldn't be surprised. Wrestling fans do tend to have a "What have you done for me lately?" mentality when it comes to giving a damn.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

From Mike Johnson/Jason Powell via F4W: I don't mind Swagger being held back a little longer; better he doesn't debut live before he's ready and look bad. Big Show winning MitB would have been a sight to see, and I'd like to have seen how they pulled it off. Christian has been working really hard since his return and, hopefully, another showstealing performance at WM might help him a little with Vince. If Benjamin does win MitB, I don't see it getting over because he's been treated as an afterthought for so long. He needs to be built up for a few months with some big PPV wins/matches.
