I'd heard about the policy. The minimum requirements were 6 foot 2 and around 240-250lbs.

From the Observer site. Major shake-ups usually make for interesting television. -
I'm a big fan of Lesnar and his potential, but I think Herring wins this by KO.

I don't think they want to take Smackdown's biggest star off the show when they just moved to a new network. Even assuming Edge wins and Undertaker takes time off, what viable options do they have left to push on top? Batista and who else? -

I would think choosing a wrestler takes both them and their different incarnations out of the running. That would make the most sense. -

I think the theory behind putting the stipulation on the TLC match is precisely because it does give away that Undertaker is winning the World title. They figure that's something people will pay to see, and if they, in their minds, tell people ahead of time Undertaker is winning, it'll get people to order the PPV because they won't want to miss seeing it. I also like the idea that the stipulation might have been added just to swerve people and that Undertaker is going Raw. That's Russo-level thinking right there. -

It wasn't long after that match that Russo made the comment that they should teach actors how to work, because if he (Russo) can do it, anyone can. If Russo's ego would allow it, someone should have informed him that his 'wrestling' is as bad as his writing, and the only reason that match didn't stink was because Ric Flair was carrying his worthless ass. -
Guest Booker with HTQ: The NWA - August 1989 to January 1991
Hunter's Torn Quad commented on Hunter's Torn Quad's blog entry in Straight Shooting
World tag team titles: This one starts at the beginning of January 1990, at the TV taping where Arn Anderson returned but was meant to see Tully Blanchard return as well. Only this time, Tully does return as intended, and he and Arn make their return in a big by showing up unannounced and laying out the Steiner Brothers. This leads to a World tag title match at Clash X, which Arn and Tully win in typical heel fashion with a spinebuster on one of the tag belts leaving Rick Steiner out of it and getting pinned. Things kick into high gear for Arn and Tully, with promo’s bragging about their title win and proclaiming themselves to be the best tag team in the world and inviting any other team to do their best to take the belts away from them. It’s time for the big push, and this is how Arn and Tully’s calendar looks for the rest of the year: WrestleWar: beating the Southern Boys clean Capitol Combat: beating The Rockers after the Midnight Express interfere (The Rockers and MX have been feuding for a while at this point, and it’s still going strong) Clash XI: losing to The Rockers via DQ when The Midnight Express interfere. Great American Bash: beating the Rock and Roll Express clean Clash XII: beating The Freebirds clean Halloween Havoc: beating Doom clean Clash XIII: Shawn Michaels pinning Arn Anderson Starrcade: The Rockers beat Arn and Tully for the belts with Shawn pinning Tully after a superkick. Summary: As you can see, Arn and Tully get the belts right away and keep them for the almost the entire year. They’re the most pushed team of the year, and while they don’t have one specific feud going on, the tag team division revolves around them as they have the tag titles. The main story of the year is the Midnight Express vs. The Rockers feud, which will be elaborated on later, but with the underlying theme of the Midnights getting in the way of the Rockers and the World tag titles with the Rockers chase for the belts culminating at Starrcade and finally getting their hands on the tag titles. The belts are made important because so many top teams chase for them but nobody is able to win them from Arn and Tully until The Rockers finally do it at the end of the year. The Rockers have defenses in 1991 lined up against The Midnights, Tully and Arn and many other teams. Next up are the US tag titles. -

They should run out a jobber named William Nester Policy and have him get squashed every week. That's right up there with Vince beating up a Panda in 2002 as a way of taking out his frustrations on something that was partially his fault... the more things... uh... change... That was entirely Vince's fault. When you exclude the World Wildlife Fund's penchant for frivolous lawsuits, then yes. Vince made an agreement with the World Wildlife Fund over the use of the WWF initials outside North America. He repeatedly violated that agreement. The World Wildlife Fund's lawsuit was not frivolous. -
Impact for May 1st - The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Shark Boy & Curry Man ended in a no-contest when Scott Steiner & Petey Williams came out and attacked all four men. Steiner then cut a promo on Kurt Angle. Angle came out and they started to brawl, with Steiner putting Angle in the Steiner Recliner until Samoa Joe made the save. - Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviews AJ Styles, who says he needs to find a partner for tonight since Tomko got hurt "in an MMA fight in Japan". - Mike Tenay conducts an in-ring interview with Velvet Sky & Angelina Love, who talk about their match at Sacrifice. They make fun of Gail Kim & ODB, who come out and brawl with them. - LAX defeats Eric Young & Kaz. After the match, Homicide gets on the mic and calls Hector Guerrero to the ring. He talks about their past, but also how LAX admires the Guerrero family. They make a pact for all Latinos to be united. LAX left, then came back out to add a part where they officially ask Hector to be in their corner at Sacrifice, and Hector accepts. - ODB & Gail Kim defeated Angelina Love & Velvet Sky. After the match, Angelina tries to attack Gail but Roxxi and ODB make the save. - AJ Styles & Super Eric defeated The Rock & Rave Infection. - Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle defeated Scott Steiner & Petey Williams. Afterwards, Angle attacked Joe, then Steiner attacked Angle. Steiner then attacked Joe and posed with the TNA belt. - Jim Cornette comes to the ring and brings out the singles wrestlers for the Deuces Wild tournament: Matt Morgan, Kip James, BG James, James Storm, Booker T, Robert Roode and Sting.

At least if Jeff Hardy was WWE Champion when he failed his third wellness test, Vince wouldn't cry too much over firing him. He might not like having to fire his company champion, but it would 'prove' to outsiders how serious he is about his testing. -

This is a bad throwback to the finish of Mankind/Rock at the Rock Bottom PPV that wound up managing to kill the heat for the Austin/Undertaker main event.

Maybe they're saving the run-ins for later, and aren't going the TNA route of overdoing the same angle?
