And to the surprise of nobody, TNA's Mexican dates have been canceled. -
I'm sure Nash and Angle have a lot of say in their own angles, but generally it's the committee of three with the others giving suggestions.
-
It's Jarrett, Russo and Dutch as a committee, but recently Borash, Tenay and Abyss have been sitting in and given suggestions. Jarrett makes the final call and decides the direction.

Dropping the X-Division title to Chris Sabin at last year's BFG. A damn fine match, that was probably the best of the night.

The heat for Punk working in ROH went to Tommy Dreamer and John Laurinaitis , because Punk had gotten approval from Dreamer to work the show, and either Dreamer never told Laurinaitis or Laurinaitis never told the people he should have done.

The funny thing about the Higher Power angle is that, as was the form for one of the writers at the time, it was started with no idea where to go with it. They only decided on Vince at almost literally the last minute, with other choices including Steve Austin and Mick Foley.

Impact spoilers (airs December 6th)

If Senshi quit, even if it's a worked quitting, why did Daniels win his briefcase? If it's because Senshi wasn't supposed to get the pink slip, can't they just change things and have him reveal the pink slip and use that to logically write him out of TNA and get over a stipulation? Now they have to 'fire' someone else and look stupid when he comes back in a month. -
No doubt about the fact there's more than enough blame to be shared. It's still amazing that with all the creative minds TNA has, they can't seem to get a clue.
-
Dollars to donuts says this is from Russo or he pushed for it. It's the kind of the worked shoot nonsense he loves.
-
Yeah, it screams "Russo" to me. And yet people want to downplay Russo's influence...
-
Assuming, as is likely, this was one of those worked shoots, is Joe meant to be the babyface or the heel? He said the babyface things, but he came off like a whining heel.
-
Politically speaking, he probably could fuck someone up. Maybe you have lower standards, but that wouldn't get me to shell out $30 on a PPV. It might get me watching it for free, but not buying it.
-
Well, it has got everyone talking. Heck, they might even shift a few more replay buys. Except anyone who would know something strange went down at the PPV would simply check the promo out online for free and save their money. I think the Joe promo combined with the buzz around the women's title match and Kong's post match massacre probably will give turning point a higher than average replay buy number. Some people don't neccessary want to wait a couple of days for it all to show up online. Why would anyone shell out $30 for a promo, one match, that's not getting MOTY buzz, and a post-match attack?
-
It's strange in the sense that you wonder why TNA would do something so stupid and pointless. Well, until you remember that it's TNA you're talking about and who's running the outfit.

The Internet is Hurting The Business: Part 1
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JPopStarKami's topic in General Wrestling
First, the internet has minimal effect on business, either way. The internet fan makes up a very small percentage of the total fanbase. Secondly, how does a lack of surprises hurt the business? If what is planned has enough interest, the people are going to pay to see it, regardless of how many people actually know about it in advance. Surprises are good, but it's a big reach to say that a lack of surprises somehow hurts the business. -
Don't forget Booker's promo.

The downward spiral, but he calls it the 'Breast Exam'. -
They reformed for no reason with no explanation, and they can split up the same way.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to dubq's topic in TNA Wrestling
Maybe venting his frustrations was enough for him for now. Or maybe this is still what it probably always has been, a worked shoot where Joe gets to vent his real feelings and the fans get to think they've seen something that wasn't meant to happen. After all, if Dixie was that mad at Joe, why didn't she just fire him? -

I don't doubt it. But he hasn't been given a live microphone on a PPV and been pissed off enough at the same time to have the desire to deliver it.
