The Game, The Lord And God Of Professional Wrestling, proves his total might with a win over The Naughty Nazi JBL. This truly is a great day for wrestling, as God saves the day once again. ---------- Heidenreich kidnaps Tazz and rapes him.

5 years ago, Russo and Ferrara moved to WCW
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I don't think any one would have been able to turn WCW around as long as the politics of the company were allowed to go unchecked. As soon as anyone got hot, the usual suspects cut their legs off, and without stopping that, it wouldn't have mattered who was booking. -
Strangest Kayfabe reasons for a heel turn

Two words: Strike Force. -
The parody was meant to end with The Horseman running in and cleaning house on the nWo. Presumably, it was to set up WarGames, as that did wind up happening. Kevin Nash got the Horseman run-in cancelled though, and the Horseman comeback was simply going to be a Flair promo later on in the show. However, because of the content of the parody, with the numerous jokes about Arn being an alchoholic, which Flair and Arn felt were a combination of taking things too far and Nash making things personal just to get a laugh, Flair refused to come out for the promo.

So, what the hell ever happened to Mike Sanders?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to a topic in General Wrestling
I don't remember the exact date offhand, but there was a Nitro in mid-to-late 2000 where Sanders and Kevin Nash had a verbal showdown, and Sanders carved Nash up. People were laughing about it behind Nash's back, because Nash had had always had this rep of having a great wit, and you had this no-name, as Sanders was at the time, taking him apart. -
"It's Stone Cold. Stone Cold is here. Stone Cold is back. Stone Cold, oh my god, I can't believe it" Torrie Wilson fellates Vince McMahon in the middle of the ring.

Well, if she was only 14, it was bound to be a stretch. Vince and HBK had a "cock and ball contract" according to Hawk.

Debate on the worst PPVs of all time!
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Nash claimed he thought he was having a heart attack, but he later said turned out to just be indigestion. It was yet another case of him not wanting to do a job, as that was the booked finish. He managed to get out of doing the job for Giant until Slamboree of '98, as part of the tag match with him and Sting against Hall and Nash. As you might expect, it wasn't clean; Hall smacked Nash in the head with a tag title belt for the finish. Shockingly, this just happened to give Nash a concusion, and he sat out the next few months of action. -
Well, not sure if this was a work or not (I believe it was..), but the way it was explained on the show. The PPV carriers deemed it too violent of a match to be shown live as the opportunity for someone to get seriously hurt was too great. So the match went on first, before the PPV itself began. I think the deal of explaining it was that the match was to be released on video-tape, only edited to suit. Anyway, after Bigelow/Taz there was the whole commotion about part of the ring being broken. Styles started talking about Sabu/Sandman, before Paul.E came to the desk. The two hard an arguement, before Paul.E ordered for the Sandman/Sabu match to be shown. Which it then was. So, it's possible that the match went on first so they had something to show while 'repairing' the ring or maybe because Sabu/Sandman needed the full ring. It was a work. Everyone knew how horrible Sandman v Sabu was at NotR '97, and rather than risk putting on another horrible match on live PPV, Heyman came up with this creative excuse for having to tape their next match. That way, if it was bad as NotR's affair, they could edit it into something decent. It also, as mentioned, allowed them to show something while the ring was repaired.

Since I haven't seen this PPV ever, either...what was this angle? Brian Pillman was feuding with Barry Windham, and had dropped the fall in a Loser Leaves Town tag match when teaming with El Gigante. Pillman came back under a mask as The Yellow Dog. Ironically, Windham had used the same gimmick earlier in his career after losing a similarly stipulated match. Windham's partner was Arn Anderson. The match took place at Clash 15(?) in Knoxville, the one with Flair v Eaton, and, in classic WCW fashion, was given less than 4 minutes. -
Part way through the Rey/RVD v DUD's match at JD, the sound guy plays RVD's music, thus giving away the finish.
-
He got at least one title match. It was taped for a Diesel video profile. Even though the match was very short, maybe a few minutes at most, it was still horrible, and well into the negative star range. As for: I don't think any particular match had been decided upon, but I would guess Steiner would have defended the World Title against one of the returning faces. Best guess is that that match would have ended in non-finish of some sort, leading to a rematch maybe on the next PPV, or a match with another returning face, where Steiner would have probably dropped the title.

Sanders didn't help matters by always being out of shape. Whenever he wrestled during his last run with TNA, he always had to cover his ample gut. -

Undertaker/ Hogan

The funny thing about the tombstone on the chair is that Hogan's head never came close to the chair, but he still got injured because his neck got jarred by Undertaker's thighs. -
Undertaker/ Hogan
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Only The Strong Survive's topic in General Wrestling
Undertaker pinned Hogan in the first one, after a tombstone on a chair. Hogan pinned Undertaker in the second one, after flinging the ashes from the urn into Undertaker's eyes. The title was held up, because Jack Tunney was at ringside, and saw the ashes being used. -

Are any of the Hustle shows good?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
The only full Hustle Show I've seen is the one headlined by Goldberg v Ogawa. The opener, a Jr Hvy Four-Way, with Low Ki and three others, one of whom was about 5'8" and looked to be 300lbs, was decent. The rest of the stuff ranged from horrible to average, with Goldberg v Ogawa being pretty decent, and even entertaining it its own way. -
Brown did beat up Vince one time, after finding out that Roddy Piper got paid way more than he did for their match at WM VI. There's the time 2 Cold lost his job with New Japan after knocking Hawk out.
-
One I don't think is known, or it might be, happened around the time of WM II. The wrestlers and NFL guys in the Battle Royal were on the bus going back to a hotel, as they had just had a practice run of the match, and one of the NFL guys, I think William Perry, was being loud and obnoxious. Eventually, Andre turned to him and said, "You talk too much". And the guy never said another word for the rest of the trip.

Guy Mezger, who was scheduled to face Tito Ortiz in the main event of the 10/22 UFC show in Atlantic City, fainted twice in training today, and was hospitalized. It was feared he had suffered a stroke, although later reports indicate that wasn't the case. Mezger is off the show. With just seven days left, it would be most likely someone already on the card will be moved up to the main event position. No decision had been made at this time, but it will likely be made tomorrow. Credit - WO.com Well, that has to suck for UFC. I don't remember the card off hand, so who would be moved up to the main event slot ? -
