In looking ahead a bit, pulling the trigger on a full throttle Batista push could work, PLUS with the draft redux idea intact for this spring again, he could have some fresh opponents. I felt Batista could really work on Smackdown. Angle, Eddie, Rey could all have very good matches with him, he's not someone who would be squashed by JBL (at least I'd hope not) and the eventual "money match" with UT would be there. In the last Observer, Meltzer said plans for the post-WM draft were to have the champions rotate (meaning Cena would go to RAW and be a fresh foe for Trips while Orton would have an uninterrupted title run). Couldn't hurt Batista either to switch shows, especially since it's agreed after Trips and Edge he'd really have nothing to do on RAW.

I just had another thought. Last year, we saw Eddie get his due at No Way Out, and have a successful defense at WM, while the night was focused on Benoit's big win. Wouldn't (reportedly) having both Cena and Orton (or Batista) getting their big wins in the same night water things down?

Another related question is how do they go about the Chamber eliminations? At this point Benoit and Jericho are after thoughts, Edge will obviously get screwed by Michaels somehow (unless he wins and Shawn makes the reluctant count, which I'd highly doubt). How does "chosen one" Orton go down, and since it's obvious Trips and Batista will eliminate each other, how does the survivor of those two go out? You can't have Batista pin Trips, get the big pop, and then fall down to an Edgeucator or something.

HBK won't cost Triple H the match, he'll cost Edge the match. That much is obvious.

Batista/Edge as a prolonged feud could work. In a similar vein to the Orton/Edge scenario, Edge could state that he's waited so long, gone through so much, and just when he was about to get it, some "flavor of the week" steps in and takes what's his. You could have Edge playing his psycho veteran with a bug up his ass, and Batista willing to prove himself worthy of being a champion.

Well if Dusty still wants him to be his Guerrero like star, he can use the mantra of "Lie, Cheat, and Deal". Backstage vignettes could be shown of him replacing other wrestlers pee cups during random drug tests, and getting his rivals busted despite them actually being clean. Then during his matches he can do a "Hulk Up" comeback, but what would happen is he'd be knocked out of the ring and could snort up, thus adrenalizing himself and making himself impervious to pain. In all seriousness though, this is a bad break for someone TNA was counting on.

I find him better than Luger both in the ring and less bland as a character, though I don't see him at a Sting "superstar" level...yet. I have a feeling the title win could put him over the top, as long as he's "made" in winning it, like Rock did for Brock.

While I don't think Batista would be able to carry his title matches, and defenses against the likes of Kane or Snitsky would be less than stellar, I think he's got the goods to be worthy of a title. Definitely much more than JBL has. The problem with him going face is that RAW would be in desperate need of heels, as Benoit, Jericho, Orton, Benjamin, Michaels and Batista would all be upper card faces, as opposed to Triple H, Edge, and...well that's it. I won't say Flair only because he's not full time and shouldn't be at this point. I think he's got the look, he's improved tons in the ring, and he doesn't need to be a twenty minute promo cutting champion. I do hope they run with it, because it's obvious it's one of the few things fans want to see that they seem intent on actually doing.

I would second putting GPX in there.

In the same writeup in the Observer, it said that if Sabu were physically able to do anything, he would as long as Heyman wasn't involved (the two do not get along). Given Heyman's status that's at least a step in the right direction if they want to legitimize this thing (well, as much as they can). It wouldn't shock me to see Meanie back for a bWo skit or something. Funk would probably work a match as well. I don't know if there would be much point in bringing in Johnny Grunge to do something solo, but he's another possibility.

Storm and Malenko were both mentioned about doing matches on the card in a recent Observer. They had the idea of Eddie/Dean to relive the matches that made them famous in the US. I'd love an Impact Players reunion, but it probably won't happen. I wouldn't count on Tanaka or Corino being brought in either.

I don't listen to the radio much at all, so I just this week heard My Chemical Romance for the first time (via TV commercial promoting their "I'm Not Okay" single). I like a small bit of what could be viewed as emo, but honestly do not like any of the aforemetioned bands such as Taking Back Sunday, or any of the "hip" emo bands. At least not yet...part of it is not hatred of them, but having not heard much, if any of them yet. I'd say the two most notable emo bands I listen to would be Juliana Theory and Matchbook Romance, the latter of whom I like quite a bit since having discovered them just a few months ago.

Abyss is a better big man than the most recent crop of hosses (Snitsky, Heidenreich). But given that he was Dutch's boy, a good worker for his style, and pretty over, HOW did they let this one slip?

That Brawler battle royal win/title shot was actually pretty well known (at least I thought so), because it was stated by Bret Hart that he would actually drop the belt to Brawler on his way out of the WWF if that's what they wanted. Of course, we know how that whole situation turned out.

The thing with me as far as not pulling out as many promo's or ideas as I'd have liked is more due to my work schedule than lack of interest. Working two jobs straight through the week with really only the weekend or downtime at my office job for free time/net time takes it's toll. Hopefully I can find a good balance, because Landon, Rando and myself are all pretty excited about the chance to work together.

I actually got my major Xmas gift (new laptop) last week, as it was a combination birthday/Christmas gift. We do Christmas Eve at my grandmother's, and I got the expected lot of cards full of money. This morning in addition to the laptop I got clothes from my parents, and Dodgeball from my sister, though I've already got it and will exchange it for something else tomorrow. Dinner and dessert is at my house, so I'm going to have both sides of the family here all day. Joyous.
