You were pretty much off in retirement-land somewhere until about a year and a half ago during a feud with myself and Bruce Blank (former contributor and SWF e-fed guy who was a big part of the OAOAST for a while). In storyline, Zack was about to be canned for snapping and pulling a gun on Blank on a live HeldDOWN~! (after being held back by security for going after Blank, who had broken into Zack's house and gone after his family). Anglesault came back and revealed that since his days as an active wrestler were behind him, he had invested those earnings into becoming the head of the company that bares his name, and overruled the decision to have Zack sent packing. Since then, he's been the voice of reason only when needed, as we haven't done anything McMahon/Bischoff like with him. Usually when a ruling needs to be made he'll send a delegate to relay the message, and only shows up for the truly important angles.

The OAO LIVE Impact thread (3.27.08)

I hadn't heard the rumor on Dustin and Booker, but if anything they need to keep Black Reign far, far away from him. It's wonderful that Goldust got over the way it did but it effectively killed the ability for Dustin Rhodes to get over by any other means. Making Black Reign into the crazy babyface with makeup is just the redux of Booker and Goldust, and they wouldn't be able to do half the stuff that made them an entertaining duo (not to mention Booker is playing a more serious babyface role this time around). Hernandez is a guy who has surprised me, because he never showed much in the past in either ROH, TNA, or Wildside. He had some good offense but for the most part never stood out as anything more than just another hoss. There were noticeable groans when he was rumored and eventually debuted as Homicide's LAX partner, but I think it's safe to say he's shocked everyone. I wouldn't mind him turning heel, maybe with Mitchell as his manager at some point down the line. He'd be an excellent monster heel. A bit-off topic, but talking about big men got me thinking...NBC is making an exception with Matt Morgan's American Gladiators contract that allows him to work TNA still, and TNA is going to push him as an active star to capitalize. Could this finally be the angle that enables them to get Hogan, in some type of crossover deal? Morgan is exactly the type of guy Hogan would want to work with. -
The OAO LIVE Impact thread (3.27.08)
Zack Malibu replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in TNA Wrestling
According to the WON, LAX is due for a renewed push any day now. There's always been concern about them not having Konnan as a mic piece anymore, but I say let Homicide run roughshod on the mic with his street lingo/trash talk, and have Hernandez say little, if anything. Tried and true formula, but it usually works. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the main event for Impact will be Sting and Christian vs. Team 3D, which they'll promote as Christian rekindling an old rivalry and the first time Sting was on the opposite side of the ring from one of the greatest tag teams of all time. -
Sorry that I haven't been able to get as much work into the Zack/Bo deal as I'd have liked to in recent weeks. KC knows this and some of you who go over to The Pit might have also heard, but for a few weeks I was laying low due to some potentially serious issues with my liver of all things. I went for some more bloodwork this past week and just got the results, and luckily the original tests were just some fluke thing and everything is A-OK. The other reason I haven't been around is because I've been desperately trying to make some extra money, as my job that I've held for years now decided to target me for cutbacks, knocking me down to 30 hours a week...so much of my free time has been spent listing Ebay auctions or helping out at my friends bar to make some money on the side and make sure my savings won't suffer and the bills are paid off. Combine those factors with the search for a new job (which may come as soon as tomorrow, as I have an interview set up) and it's been taking away a lot of my time in general, not just TSM/net time. I wrote this just so it wasn't thought that I was losing interest in the OAOAST (it's truly the only reason I really even bother with TSM anymore) or was going to wind up vanishing on you guys. Real life has sadly taken hold these last few weeks, so I just wanted to make it clear that it wasn't my lack of interest or anyone's doing. I'm going to try my damndest to get something in for this week (even if it has to be edited in later tomorrow) and also look forward to adding some more action to the Zack/Bo match which I've tried to get a headstart on. I'm sure you can all understand where I'm coming from with what's been going on, but I owed you guys an explanation for my minimal appearances lately.

If you've got HD covered, that should work out well for now, as I should be able to do a good chunk of the AM match today/tomorrow, and then pick up on it on the weekend.
-
I may need some help this week. I had a followup phone interview for the new job today, and have a face to face one later this week, on top of my normal work schedule. I'll be working on the AM match, so if you're able to help out with the final build for AM for HD, or add a little to the match, it'd be appreciated.

We now interrupt this program for the first installment of a new OAOAST series: OAOAST BELL TO BELL Josh Matthews steps into camera range, in what looks like an empty studio back at the OAOAST Corporate Office. Only an OAOAST Logo sign on the wall and a high-def television monitor are Josh's company, as he takes center stage. JOSH Welcome, everyone, to the first installment of OAOAST Bell To Bell. In just about a week's time, two of the OAOAST's most popular athletes will lock up in singles action. What started as a friendly bet to build up the competitive spirit in both of these individuals has erupted into a feud for the ages. The chase to capture the World Heavyweight Championship has now wound up pitting these one-time friends against each other. On one side of the feud is a man who commands respect, and is held in the highest regard here in the OAOAST. On the other, a man who feels he's earned his stripes, and craves the type of respect that his rival has come to earn. At Anglemania VII, Zack Malibu and Bohemoth will go one on one for the first time ever, battling not for any championships, but simply for the chance to soon compete for the coveted OAOAST World Title, and more importantly, each other's respect. Tonight, we talk with both men, as well as take a look at how they're preparing for this highly anticipated matchup. (We now segue into HIGHLIGHTS~!, starting off with November Reign 2007's Triple Cage Match) *Holding PRL by the back of the head, Bohemoth rams him face-first into the wall of the cage again. The bigman then targets Popick again, manhandling the World Champion and sending him into a meeting with the steel as well. With both his opponents down, Bo then goes back to his original plans and grabs the boltcutters from off of the steel floor, ready to unlock the door out of Cage 2... *CLUNK!* ...AND WALKS RIGHT INTO SCHOOL'S OUT, THE BOLTCUTTERS KICKED RIGHT BACK INTO HIS FACE!!!!!!* (cut to Bohemoth on screen) BO That's where it all kicked off. I'm not saying that to be cute, but that's where it all started. I was finally showcased, finally had the chance to become the represenative of this company, and I had it taken away from me when Zack knocked me cold. JOSH (off-screen) So you hold Zack responsible for not being World Champion right now? BO Partially. I don't think Zack has held me down, and he's never really been in my way until now. I think that things have happened where I've been distracted, and that Zack woke me up to those issues, but it took him knocking me out cold for me to wake up. (cut to Zack Malibu on-screen) ZACK Bo had always been...there. That's the only way to put it. When he broke off from Christian Wright he could have shot to the top, but he got distracted. He'll tell you that himself. When we were in that cage match he was a force, man. He could have torn that cage apart from the ground up and let that belt fall into his hands, but he lacked that spark. That driving force. That's the missing piece to the puzzle. He has all the tools, but it always seemed like he was on cruise control instead of putting his foot on the gas. BO I don't really feel as though I've coasted during my tenure thus far...I just think that certain opportunities never came about, or that maybe I truly didn't earn them. JOSH Why do you think you didn't earn them? Lack of strong competition? The feeling you weren't ready to take advantage of opportunities like title shots? BO I don't think that it was anything like that, just simply that the cards never fell in my favor until recently, and now that they have... JOSH ...now you have a former World Champion breathing down your neck. BO (chuckles) Yeah, I do...and that's the strongest competition you can get here in the OAOAST. ZACK Bo knows...he knows that he's this close to the World Title. He's on the run of his life right now, but if thinks I'm going to be some pushover, some steppingstone, well, look at all the other guys who thought that way. Even Bruce Blank, he made himself by being the most physical, most intimidating guy I ever went up against, got retired by me. Now that was a personal vendetta, and I'm not out to end Bo's career, but c'mon...it's a known fact I'm at my best when the odds aren't in my favor. When my back is against the wall, I don't go down without the fight of my life. BO It's funny that Zack mentioned the Blank feud, because that's exactly why he's the underdog in our match. Those personal feuds like that one, or the one with Popick, or the one with...well, that guy's not important but you know who I mean...they were personal. Heated blood feuds, with a lot of venom behind their actions. Zack and I aren't seeing eye to eye these days, but I'm not a guy out to cripple him or maim him or stalk his family, and he knows that. That's going to be his downfall, because if he's not coming after me with one hundred and ten percent, he's gonna fail. ZACK Bo thinks that because this feud wasn't built out of vengeance or hatred that I'm going to be a pushover? It might not be about crippling and maiming, but it's still about respect. Bo sometimes acts like things should have been handed to him, and the only thing that's going to be handed to him is a beating on March 30th. BO He talks tough, but when he's the one looking up at the lights at Anglemania, he's gonna have to eat those words. ZACK I know what he wants. I know he wants the World Title. He keeps going on the way he's been going and he'll have earned it. Unfortunately, that's not going to be the case, because now he has to go through me. He thinks it's going to be easy? I'll give him the phone numbers of all the guys who thought the same thing. Hell, the World Champion right now is one of them! BO Keep talking about the past, Zack. If you're comparing me to any of your old foes, that's another mistake, because I'm nothing like them. ZACK You're exactly like them, Bo, because you're going to find out the hard way that challenging Zack Malibu isn't a way up the ladder, it's a way back down to Earth. *FADE OUT*

NCFOM is still playing at the main cinema for a full price ticket, not even the discount theater (which IIRC is about $3.50 per ticket). Saw Never Back Down, and it was pretty much a scene for scene Karate Kid redux, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think it'll become one of those movies that once it's on cable, people will get hooked on it...one of those movies that you don't go out of your way to see, but don't turn it off when it's on. I enjoyed it, but I'm also a sucker for most things relating to the martial arts.

BUFFER Ladies and gentlemen, this next contest is schedule for one fall! When "Liberate" by Disturbed is cued right after Buffer's announcement, the fans go BANANA~!, because they know that what they're about to see is the culmination of months and months of tension finally coming to a head, and that reaction continues as the first participant in the match steps out onto the stage, peering over his trademark orange tinted sunglasses at his fanbase while pyro explodes behind him! BUFFER Approaching the ring at this time, from Greenville, South Carolina...he weighs in tonight at two hundred and eighty four pounds...he is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHEMOTH~! The big man, with adrenaline flowing through his veins, jogs in place at the head of the ramp before stepping through the ropes. After getting into the ring, Bo storms over to the corner and throws his arms up, then beats on his chest as he acknowledges the crowd, who have traveled the world over to get here for this spectacle tonight. Just as Bo climbs down from the ropes, that's when the music of his opponent hits, and as Bo bounces off the ropes he keeps his eyes set on the entranceway, while "Getting Away With Murder" brings the fans to a full scale eruption of cheers, even moreso when the other participant in this match becomes visible, pausing on the entranceway in the midst of the gold sparkles that rain down from the pyro, as he's greeted by the loud reaction of the crowd! BUFFER His opponent, hailing from Providence, Rhode Island...weighing in tonight at two hundred and ten pounds, he has been deemed The Franchise of the OAOAST, he is the one, the only...ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK MALIBUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~! Zack comes down the ramp, having locked eyes with Bo he can only offer a smirk, as if to say "this is what you've gotten yourself into". Zack hops into the ring and spins around, working the crowd as only he can, while Bo stands idly by, cracking his neck while his opponent plays to the people that love him so. The bell sounds, and the two stars stand off in the center of the ring, with the fans going crazy. Zack approaches fearlessly, with Bo's intimidating demeanor not affecting him in the slightest. They come face to face, the tension that has built in the last several months looking as if it's about to make their heads pop. Trash talking ensues, and the camera can barely pick up the sound of each man daring the other to make the first move. Bo takes a step back and stretches his arms out, daring Malibu to come at him...and Zack blasts him with a hard slap across the face to put him in place! Bo reacts, shoving Malibu so hard that Zack falls to the canvas, but he gets right back up and charges in! Zack tries for a tackle, but Bo uses his size advantage to keep his balance, and pounds on Zack's back to stop the attempt. Bo whips Zack to the ropes and catches him on the rebound, pressing him up over his head...but Zack rakes the eyes, temporarily blinding Bo! Bo loses his grip, having to tend to his eyes, while Zack lands behind him, bracing himself. As Bo regains his sight, he looks for Zack, turning around into a SC...NO! Zack's early attempt at a superkick was caught by Bo, who chuckles as he throws Zack's foot down and then blasts him with a standing lariat! COLE We're off to a rocking start in this one, Coach! I don't think the four sides of the squared circle are going to be able to contain this one! COACH Well, just look at it this way, Mikey Cole...if they don't, it's just one more call to the health insurance company that we have to make. Bo picks Zack up and traps him in a front chancery, using his large arm to squeeze Zack's head and put the pressure on it. Zack comes up to his feet, trying to find a better position than the one he's in, and manages to yank Bo's arm off his head by using a wristlock. Malibu then uses a go behind, but has trouble getting Bo over, so it's easily reversed by the big man, who takes Zack down to the mat with a rear waistlock takedown, and then applies a side headlock on the canvas. COLE The power of Bohemoth should come in handy in keeping Zack grounded. Zack fights up to his feet and shoves Bo forward into the ropes, but Bo responds by plowing over Zack with a shoulderblock. Malibu looks up from the canvas at Bo, who smirks and motions for Zack to come at him. Angered by the taunt, Malibu rolls to his feet and goes in for a lockup...but at the last second drives a knee into Bo's ribcage! Forearms across the back follow, and then a hard European uppercut sends Bo back a few steps! Malibu runs at Bo with a clothesline, but Bo drops his head and elevates Zack over the ropes...but Zack lands on the apron! Malibu takes Bo by the head and runs him over to the corner where he rams him facefirst into the top turnbuckle several times, staggering the hosstastic superstar! Malibu then leans over the ropes and shoves Bo back, watching as he hobbles off-balance in a daze, and leaps off the top rope with a flying lariat that takes the big man down! Malibu then mounts the shoulders and starts throwing elbows, one by one connecting with the face and head of Bo as he tries to cover up! Bo finally rolls Malibu off of him, and when Zack comes forward again, Bo takes his legs out from under him and now HE'S the one doing the hammering, as Malibu blocks his face with his elbows to deter the shots! Taking Zack by the head, Bo brings him up to his feet and starts hitting hammer punches to the kidneys, then shoves Zack backwards into the corner, and follows up by getting some momentum and ramming his shoulder into Zack's midsection! Seeing the effect this has, Bo does it several more times, then hooks Zack's arm and biels him out of the corner, throwing him onto his back! COACH Someone's got a fire in their belly tonight, and I don't mean the guys who ate in catering! Zack winces, and as he gets up he's taken hold of by his opponent, who hoists him up for a vertical suplex and holds him in the upside down position. Members of the crowd applaud as Bo shows off his strength advantage, then falls back to the canvas, dropping Malibu with the suplex! Bo scoops Zack up again and then wraps his arms around his waist, taking him off his feet and sitting him on the top rope! Bo climbs up onto the middle rope, but a quick headbutt stuns him, and Zack shoves him off. Though rattle, Bo gets up and gets to the corner before Zack can mount an offense and hurls him off the top rope with a slam, once again throwing Zack across the ring! Zack rolls out of the ring and crouches down, favoring his back. Bo walks across the ring and simply hops through the ropes to the floor, staring at Zack as he comes up. The two lock eyes, but before things can break down on the floor, they simultaneously roll back into the ring, roll to their feet, and tie up! Bo moves Zack around the ring, trying to back him against the ropes or into a corner, but Zack forces his way out of that predicament. Malibu then hooks the wrist of the big man and wrenches the arm, then jerks it as if he wants to yank it out of the socket! Malibu then follows up with hard, knife-edge chops across the chest of Bohemoth, but the more he's struck, the more furious he grows! Bo snarls as Zack opens fire with quicker, harder chops, but winds up with Bo's knee doubling him over! Bo then sets Zack up for a power bomb, but Malibu slips out of the grasp of his friend-slash-foe, and opens fire with hard, open hand strikes, smacking Bo against each side of his face time after time until he finishes the flurry with a roaring elbow that smashes Bohemoth flush in the jaw! Bo drops, then rolls to one knee, putting his hand under his chin when he realizes that the blood pooling on the canvas is coming from his jaw! COLE Bo's bleeding! Zack has busted the big man open with that series of strikes! Bo wipes his mouth clean, but it's a temporary solution as more blood drips out of the side of it...and Zack adds to the injury by taking Bo by the head and striking with a European uppercut! Bo falls back, the fall only broken by the ropes, and Zack uses that to send Bo off to the far side, while he hits the near side, using the momentum to nail his trademark leaping lariat! Malibu gets up and brings Bo to his feet, immediately sending him in motion towards the ropes. As Bo bounces back, Malibu spins and hits a back kick that crashes into Bo's ribcage, then a running kneelift as he's hunched over! Blood spews from the mouth of the big man as he spins towards the ropes, dazed and draped over the top. He stands upright and turns to his foe, but Malibu bursts forward with a bicycle kick that knocks Bo out through the ropes! The big man clings to the ropes, not allowing himself to crash onto the ringside floor, but as he pulls himself up on the apron, Malibu charges the corner, leaps to the middle rope, and then jumps back with a dropkick that sends Bo flying off the apron, down onto the guardrail below! COACH I'm glad I ain't sittin' front row...do you know how hard it is to get blood out of a suit? COLE Covering your tracks now that Chris Hansen is on your trail? COACH Har har. Ringside fans rush over, snapping pictures and getting their brief brush with fame by patting Bo on the back, but the big man is feeling the effect of the jaw injury, as he's just smashed it against the unforgiving steel. Bo slowly rises to his feet, glassy-eyed from the impact. Blood pours out of his mouth as he staggers, right into a baseball slide from Malibu that sends him falling back against the edge of the announce table! Malibu peppers Bo with forearms, looking to expose the weakness, and all Bo can do is shove Malibu away while he tries to regain his composure. Malibu attacks again, but Earl Hebner steps in and orders Zack back into the ring while he checks on Bohemoth. Assured that he's OK, Hebner climbs back into the ring and begins the count, showing no favortism now that Bo has agreed he can go on. With blood now oozing rapidly from his mouth, Bo pushes up to his feet and turns around, unbalanced, and right into the path of a pescado by Malibu...WHICH HE CATCHES! Bo isn't taken down by the aerial manuever, and instead it has now backfired on Malibu, who finds himself pressed overhead, then thrown clear over the top rope and back into the ring by the powerful primadonna! Bo then slides back into the ring, looking disgruntled as he looms over Malibu, bloody jaw and all. He reaches down and pulls Zack up, but it proves to be a fatal mistake, as Zack quickly hits a jawbreaker, stunning him! Zack then takes Bo by the head and runs him facefirst into the top turnbuckle, then hooks Bo by the waist as he staggers back and takes him over with a German suplex! ONE! T-KICKOUT! COLE Zack might have found a chink in the armor now, but I don't think Bo is going to go down this soon into the contest. Malibu brings Bo up, keeping him dazed with quick forearms across the cheek so that Bo is hurting while Zack runs the ropes...but when Zack bounces off, Bo hits a big boot out of nowhere, smashing the popular prep right across HIS face! Bo follows up with an elbowdrop, then runs the ropes and comes off with a big splash...but Zack rolls out of the way! Bo comes up on his knees, shaking off the effects of the missed move, while Zack springs off the ropes once again, leaping up for a ZACK ATTACK...but Bo pops up, grabs Zack in midair, and spins over with a powerslam that nearly leaves the imprint of Zack Malibu's body in the canvas! ONE! TW-NO! COLE That one came back to haunt Zack. He's trying to weaken Bo as fast as he can...that's why we saw the School's Out attempt in the early and the Zack Attack attempt just now. He knows that Bo has fallen to the quick kill before, like back at the Triple Cage Match at November Reign. Injury or not though, he can't take Bo for granted! Bo picks Zack up and quickly nails Zack with an inverted atomic drop, then spins him around and hits an atomic drop, and then grabs Zack and dumps him over his shoulders with a quick back suplex! Bo then bounces off the ropes and then connects with the big splash that missed several minutes earlier, and once again hooks Zack's leg, hoping for a three count! ONE! TW-NO! COACH I think Bo might be takin' Zack a little bit for granted too. He's in there with the most resilient man in the wrestling business today...it's gonna take more than a few powerslams and suplexes to be Mr. Anglemania! Bo picks Zack up, and quickly applies an abdominal stretch, working over both Zack's sore back and ribs. Earl Hebner keeps watch as Malibu squirms, trying to free himself. He reaches out, hoping to grab hold of the top rope, but he's too far out and he falls flat on the attempt. He stretches himself, doing more harm than good as he adds to the pressure, simply to try and get the break, but Bo releases the hold, then drops Zack across his knee with a backbreaker! He rolls Zack onto his stomach and drives a knee into the lower back. He then plants both of his knees in Zack's back and drops backwards, pulling Zack up onto his knees and bending him over them with a bow and arrow submission! COACH Hey, a BO and Arrow! COLE Your head should pop out of a Laugh-In box. Malibu groans in agony, trying to slide his body off the knees of Bohemoth while being bent over them. He wriggles and wriggles, and finally shifts himsef off the knees, rolling onto Bo's upper body and hooking a leg back for a surprise pin attempt! ONE! NO! Bohemoth kicks out easily, shoving Zack off of him. As he gets up, Zack charges, but Bo drops his head down and elevates Zack into the air, sending him over with a back bodydrop! Zack winces, visibly shaken from the most recent of the falls he's taken in this contest. He gets up, open to Bo who rushes with a lariat, but Zack throws his elbows up and blocks! Bo pulls back, tending to his arm, and Zack tries for a discus lariat...but his arm gets grabbed by Bo, who then takes him by the throat with one hand and drives him into the canvas with a chokeslam! ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Zack kicks out and rolls away, as Bo rests on his knees, taking a moment to catch his breath. Zack rolls to the corner and uses the turnbuckles to bring himself to his feet, but Bo comes up and charges in, sandwiching Zack against the turnbuckles before he can make a full recovery! Zack starts to slump, and Bo turns him around and sets him up in the corner, then runs to the ropes and comes off with a FACEWASH~! that just may have send a few of Zack Malibu's pearly whites sailing into the crowd! Bo pulls Zack up and shoots him off to the opposite side, but Malibu regains control of the situation by springing up onto the ropes and then jumping back...but Bo waits on him, catching him in mid-leap! Bo rests Zack on his shoulder then hurls him forward, dropping him with Snake Eyes on the top turnbuckle, then taking him and dropping him on the top rope! Bo sets Zack up and then exits the ring, going out to the apron and then climbing up to the top so that he's face to face with Zack. Bo sets himself up on the top rope with Zack, stuffing Zack's head between his legs. Looking out to the crowd that's coming alive with the anticipation of what's about to happen, Bo hoists Zack up for a SUPER POWERBOMB~!...THAT ZACK REVERSES INTO A HURACANRANA, SENDING BOTH MEN SAILING OFF THE TOP ROPE~! COACH YO~! COLE SUPER HURACANRANA~! ZACK MALIBU JUST ESCAPED A LIKELY DEFEAT WITH THAT MOVE, AND SEND BO CRASHING TO THE MAT! "HOLY SHIT!" "HOLY SHIT!" "HOLY SHIT!" The fans chant loudly and in unison, as both competitors lay on the canvas, staring up at the overhead lights beaming down on them. Camera close-ups show both men gasping for air, trying desperately to regain some of that expended energy in an effort to take the other down. It's Malibu who stirs first, rolling onto his stomach, and then crawling over to Bo, pulling him closer to the center of the ring and then draping himself over him, hooking the leg as he waits on Hebner to do his job. ONE! TWO! T-NO! SHOULDER UP! COLE Now Bohemoth escapes defeat, as the shoulders came off the mat! Zack rolls onto his back and wipes the sweat from his brow as he comes up, surveying the damage done thus far to Bo. Leading Bo up, Zack then opens fire with hard kicks, connecting with the area just above Bo's kneecap, noticeably hobbling the big man! Bo tries to get away, but having his equilibrium disrupted and a bad wheel will not get you far, as Malibu reaches down and grabs the bad leg, dragon screwing him to the canvas! Zack then holds the bad leg and delivers several kicks while Bo is down, further weaking the knee joint and leg muscles, then takes the leg and wraps it up, going for a figure four leglock...but just as he's about to cinch it in, the big man reaches up, pulling Malibu down into a cradle! ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! COACH He might be down, but he certainly ain't out! COLE Good work by Zack in now targeting the leg of Bohemoth. Bo's got the obvious power advantage, but it's going to be tough to throw Zack around like he's been doing if he can't support his weight. Bo is still slow to get up, so Zack looks to regain control...but as he extends his arm going for the Metrosexual Monster, Bo quickly hooks it, wrapping around Zack's back and hooking the other arm as well, using a backslide to try to score the pin over the former World Champion! ONE! TW-NO! Zack rolls backwards, back up to his feet, escaping the pinning predicament. As Bo gets up, Zack traps his arms in a butterfly lock, then brings his knees up, striking Bo as he's unable to defend against the blows. After the series of knees, Zack then summons the strength to bring the big man into the air, throwing him overhead with a butterfly suplex! COLE Strong showing by Zack there, channeling that adrenaline and momentum into using some power moves of his own on the monstrous superstar! With Bo down, Malibu hits the ropes and comes back with a kneedrop, driving the point of it into the forehead of his opponent. Sensing the agony that Bo is enduring, Malibu drags him away from the ropes and brings him to his feet, then takes his right hand and uses it to engulf Bo's head, squeezing his cranium like a grape! COLE IRON CLAW~! Malibu has the Iron Claw on Bohemoth! COACH That's what you call kickin' it old school! COLE Malibu has always noted that some of his heroes growing up were the Von Erichs, and began utilizing this move in his arsenal several years ago as HI-YAH Champion, when the Japanese fans dubbed Zack the Modern Day Warrior, a moniker he shares with the late, great Kerry Von Erich! Bo screams in pain, as the pressure put on by Malibu is only intensifying his already wounded state. Zack uses his left arm to hold his right arm in place, refusing to let go, as Bo rests on his knees, trying to power up. He uses his hands and grabs Zack's wrist, but all that seems to do is hold the claw in place as he fights back. Coming up onto one knee, Bo squeezes Zack's wrist as hard as he can, and is able to power up to both feet, giving him the leverage to tear the hold away! Gassed, he shoves Malibu backwards, but Zack uses it to hit the ropes and come off with a low dropkick, taking Bo's knee out from under him! Positioned on one knee again, Bo favors the leg after the hit, leaving him prone for Malibu to make another run to the ropes, this time connecting with the ZACK ATTACK~!, sending blood spewing from the mouth of Bohemoth! COLE ZACK ATTACK~! This could be it right here, Coach! Realizing what an opportunity this is, Malibu hurriedly goes for the cover, hooking the leg tightly! ONE! TWO! T-NO! SHOULDER UP! BOHEMOTH GETS THE SHOULDER UP! COACH It ain't over til it's over, Mikey Cole, and the Well-Dressed Warrior isn't about to lose to the Modern Day Warrior just yet! Pounding the mat in frustration, Malibu and Bo come up again, with Malibu leading the way. He looks to send Bo across the ring to the ropes, but at the last second, Bo reverses! He drops his head, but Zack puts on the brakes and delivers a hard kick, sending Bo back to the vertical base...smiling! Bo grins, showing off his blood stained teeth, as the kick has no effect, and he levels the startled Malibu with a standing lariat! The split crowd, who have been watching every move each man makes, roars with approval as Bo starts a comeback, first stomping Malibu with his good leg, then taking him off the canvas, grabbing him and shoving him backwards into the ropes again, this time catching Zack and spinning around with a hard spinebuster that shakes the ring! Wiping the blood from his mouth, Bo then flicks it at Zack as he looks up, grossing out the preppy poster boy, then stuffs him into a standing headscissors, looking to the supportive crowd for a brief moment before lifting Zack up with a power bomb...THAT MALIBU COUNTERS BY PUTTING THE IRON CLAW BACK ON AS HE RESTS ON BO'S SHOULDERS! COLE HE'S GOT HIM HOOKED AGAIN! COACH He won't be able to hold his weight, not on that leg! Just as Coach called, Bo staggers, trying to both keep his balance and fight the effects of the claw. Hebner watches as Bo teeters around the ring, refusing to let go of Malibu and allow him to take over again...so he STUFFS HIM into the canvas with a powerbomb...AND MALIBU STILL REFUSES TO LET GO! Bohemoth, screaming out as he uses every ounce of strength in his system, deadlifts Maliub up off the canvas, back up onto his shoulders...AND HURLS ZACK OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A RELEASE POWER BOMB ONTO THE RAMP BEFORE COLLAPSING BACK! COACH God DAMN~! COLE WHAT POWER! WHAT A SHOW OF STRENGTH BY BOHEMOTH! He fought off that Iron Claw for a second time, and threw Zack Malibu almost ten feet down the rampway! Bo is out on the canvas. Zack is out on the ramp. Earl Hebner still can't believe what just happened, and neither can the fans, who are going insane. Though it's fair game to begin counting Zack out at this point, Hebner let's his natural instinct take over, and steps through the ropes to go see how Zack is doing, as do two trainers who rush out from the back to see if he's OK. COLE Zack Malibu landed hard on that ramp, and now referee Earl Hebner and several of our staff members are tending to him, making sure he hasn't been seriously hurt. The trainers tend to Zack, who is moving and talking, although it's inaudible to the viewer at home. The trainers tend to Zack as he sits up, and Hebner returns back to the ring and begins making the count, while Bohemoth himself finally starts to stir. Zack gets up to his feet to a huge response, and blows off the trainers, making his way back to the ring as the fans cheer him on! Zack gingerly steps through the ropes and paces towards Bohemoth, cracking him with a hard right hand as he comes up...and Bo retaliates with one of his own! Zack reels from the blow, then comes back with another hard right hand, then sends Bo to the ropes! He comes back and Zack tries for a hiptoss, but Bo blocks, then scoops Zack up and drops him with a bodyslam! Bo then applies a nerve pinch, pressing into the side of Zack's neck before he can get up to his feet, as Bo utilizes the move to both weaken Zack and allow himself to regain some of his energy. Zack cringes while trapped in the move, yet is able to get up to his feet, and drives his elbow into Bo's ribs twice to get the break! He takes Bo by the head and wrenches it, then calls for a bulldog...but as he runs across the ring and his feet leave the canvas, Bo pushes off, causing Zack to crash land on his own! Malibu once again finds himself hurting after being dropped hard to the canvas, and when he comes up Bo charges forward and turns Malibu inside out, spearing the OAOAST's favorite son right out of his boots! Sensing his rival has lost a step after all he's had to endure thus far, Bo picks Zack up into his arms and moves in for the coup de grace, swinging Malibu outward into his trademark Rock Bottom like manuever the EROTIC AWAKENING OF B...but just before Malibu is driven to the canvas, he pulls Bo's head down into the canvas, spiking him with a DDT as he falls! COLE Great counter by Zack! Both men are once again exhausted, and a quick camera close up shows Bo, looking as if he's asleep, with blood from his mouth pooling on the canvas. Malibu is breathing heavy but not moving, as he's been the one on the defensive for the last several minutes and needs to pace himself if he expects to keep this match going his way now that he's taken Bo down. Hebner issues the standing 10 count, which both men can surely hear, but are going to take full advantage of. Malibu rolls onto his stomach at the count of 5, but doesn't come up to his feet, and neither does Bo. By 7, Zack is pushing up and Bo is just starting to stir. Zack, being closer to the ropes, has help in getting to his feet, but Bo pushes up, and though hobbling, is up by 10 just as Zack has pulled himself up to his feet as well! Bo turns around and Zack turns away from the ropes simultaneously...AND MALIBU CRACKS BOHEMOTH WITH A SCHOOL'S OUT~! "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH~!" COACH He caught him! He got him with the knockout blow, Mikey Cole! Bo sells it as though he's been shot, and Malibu literally falls on top of him, still remembering to hook the leg~! ONE! TWO! THREE... ... ... ...NO! NO! BOHEMOTH KICKS OUT! BOHEMOTH KICKS OUT OF A SCHOOL'S OUT! COLE HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!? HOW DID BOHEMOTH SURVIVE THAT SHOT, AFTER EVERYTHING THAT'S GONE DOWN HERE TONIGHT! COACH This is what it's all about! This is Anglemania, the night that anything can happen, the night that no one wants to be denied, and that's what we're seein' right here, Mikey! The already conflicted crowd, the same people that cheered when Zack hit the superkick, also cheer when Bo kicks out, and as Malibu sits up and looks at Hebner make the "two" symbol with his fingers, he cannot believe what just happened. COLE Zack Malibu can't believe it! Bohemoth has withstood the same move that has slayed many an OAOAST superstar! Zack picks Bo up and shoots him into the corner, charging in as quick as he can and striking Bo with a ZACK ATTACK II~! that he can't avoid! Before Bo drops to the canvas, Zack scoops him up and sits him on the top rope, then climbs up himself. Malibu delivers a series of punches to the temple, making sure his opponent is in no position to pull off a counter-move as he's then hooked by the head and snapped all the way down to the canvas with a superplex...and Zack rolls through with it bringing Bo up with him, and cradles the leg before lifting him up and SPIKING HIM WITH A FALLING STAR DRIVER~! COACH A double shot of DAMN~! right there! COLE Zack Malibu, nailing the superplex first, and immediately following with the Falling Star Driver! That HAD to do it! ONE! TWO! THREEEEEEEEEEEEEE...NO! FOOT ON THE ROPE! BOHEMOTH PLACES HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE AND THE PIN IS STOPPED! COLE I don't believe it! How could he move at all after that? Malibu seems incensed at the persistence of Bo, but he presses on, not letting it get the better of him. After dragging Bo away from the ropes, Zack positions him close to center ring, then heads out to the apron. Malibu then goes to the top, the look in his eye one of hope, as he hopes that whatever he does from here will be enough to seal the deal. He leaps into the air, kicking his legs out in front of him so that he lands with a guillotine legdrop...and he does, it's just that he hits NOTHING BUT CANVAS, as Bo manages to roll away in the nick of time! Zack hollers as the pain shoots from his tailbone up his spine, and he gingerly gets up...but winds up stumbling into the clutches of Bo, who plants him with a front spinebuster! Bo then peels Zack off the canvas before he can react, and scoops him off his feet...then takes the Franchise and swings him out into the EROTIC AWAKENING OF B~!, sending him into the canvas with a thundering crash! ONE! TWO! THREE... ...NO! NO! ZACK KICKS OUT! The crowd is going bonkers, waiting for what comes next as neither man can seem to keep his opponent down long enough for the three count! Bo picks Zack up and sets him up for a power bomb, but as he lifts, Zack miraculously escapes, sliding down Bo's back...ANGLE SLAM~!...NO! Bo slides free of THAT, takes Zack by the head and sets him up once again for a powerbomb, which he hits! ONE! TWO! THREEEEEEEENO! NO! ZACK KICKS OUT OF THE POWERBOMB! Bo rolls onto his back, then gets to his feet, looking soured that Malibu just won't give. COLE Look at the look on Bo's face, Coach! That is the look of an angry man! COACH He's taken his fair share of the punishment in this one...he's aching, he's sore, and now he's starting to wonder if he's going to be able to beat Zack Malibu! Bo reaches down and picks Zack up, but Zack stuns him with a jawbreaker as he does! Malibu shakes the cobwebs off and moves in for the kill, taking Bo and sending him in...NO! Bo counters and sends Zack off the ropes, then nails him with a diving shoulderblock, knocking Zack through the ropes! Malibu hangs on, landing on the apron rather than the floor, which Bo doesn't realize as he comes up off the mat. Zack gets to his feet, and after measuring Bo up, launches himself in with a springboard lariat...BUT GETS CAUGHT AND DROPPED WITH AN INVERTED ATOMIC DROP~! Bo picks Zack up...EROTIC AWAKENING OF B ONCE AGAIN~! COVER~! ONE! TWO! THREE! DING! DING! DING! COLE IT'S OVER! HE DID IT! COACH BO JUST BEAT ZACK! The sound of his theme song is music to his ears, as Bo rolls off of Zack, seemingly chuckling to himself, content with having just done what only one other person ever did...defeat Zack Malibu on the grandest stage in wrestling today. Bo slowly gets to his feet, and when he does his hand is raised, which is welcomed by a crowd who appreciates not only the win, but the effort involved. COLE An amazing match with two tremendous athletes, and tonight Bohemoth was the better man, securing a three count over Zack Malibu after surviving an offensive onslaught like no other from Malibu! COACH Give it up for Zack too, Mikey Cole. Both these guys busted their asses big time here tonight! Bo limps around the ring, his knee still giving him trouble after being a target for Malibu earlier on. Bo leans on the turnbuckles, then climbs up on them and raises his arms, basking in the victory as many members of this capacity crowd respond loudly with cheers. Bo steps down and turns around, then stops dead in his tracks, as Malibu comes up and inches towards Bo. Favoring his back, Malibu comes forward, staring at Bo without fear in his eyes...and extends a hand. COLE And there it is, folks. Winning streaks and championships are certainly important in our industry, but there's no prize greater than the respect of your peers, especially someone like Zack Malibu, and that's what Bohemoth has earned here tonight! The crowd cheers loudly, as Bo looks to each side. He focuses on Malibu, staring the man he just defeated not more than two minutes ago...and WALKS RIGHT PAST HIM! COLE Wait...what? What is he doing? COACH Bohemoth just dissed Zack Malibu, hardcore! Bo steps through the ropes and out onto the ramp, and starts heading to the back, the once supportive crowd now drowning him out with boos, while a confused and angered Malibu stands in the ring. COLE I know things have been tense with these two, but come on, Bo! Be a man and go back and shake his hand! Malibu stands in the ring, able to do nothing but look up the ramp at Bo, who stops at the entraceway and raises his arms again, drawing loud boos for the second time tonight. The cameras pick up on Bo pounding his chest, saying that "It's MY night!" and giving the crowd one last look before disappearing behind the curtain. Malibu, meanwhile, begins his slow walk up the ramp, shaking his head in disbelief that Bohemoth has taken the low road after a classic contest.

When we return from break, the 80's classic "Rio" by Duran Duran is in mid-stream, as a fired up Rico de Janeiro playfully strokes his moustache and taunts the crowd, climbing up on the turnbuckles and shouting down some of his detractors. COLE Welcome back to HeldDOWN~!, fans! As you can see we've got the Mardi Gras Homewrecking Crew in the ring, and Rico de Janeiro may soon wish he didn't take this little detour from tag team action, because his opponent is one angry Metrosexual Monster! "Liberate" by Disturbed replaces the new wavishness (don't ask me if it's really a word, just accept it!) of Duran Duran, and both members of the MGHC stare up the aisleway, as all eyes are on the arrival of Bohemoth! MICHAEL BUFFER Introducing, from Greenville, South Carolina...weighing in tonight at two hundred and eighty four pounds, he is known as the Metrosexual Monster...he is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHEMOTHHHHHH! Briskly walking to the ring, Bo then hops up on the apron and steps through the ropes, cracking his neck as he stares down both Rico and Lucius. Lucius, seemingly intimidated, backpedals out of the ring, patting his partner on the shoulder and offering well wishes, because Bo isn't exactly known for playing nice. COLE You can see the fire in his eyes, Michael Cole. A fire that was lit by competition, and one that has led to frustration, resentment, and anger. We've been watching a friendship tear apart ever since the Triple Cage match back in November, and now that Zack Malibu vs. Bohemoth is set for Anglemania, both men are on the warpath, looking to take all their frustrations out before they even make it to their scheduled match! The bell sounds, and Rico quickly tries a lockup, only to get shoved down to the canvas with ease from the brutal Bohemoth! Rico gets up and dusts himself off, and gets up, going for another lockup. This time it works in his favor, as he's able to snare Bo in a headlock, but Bo shoves him to the ropes, then floors him with a clothesline! Rico reels, as Lucius pounds the canvas, trying to encourage his partner, as Bo picks him up and sends him towards the corner, where the turnbuckle pads nearly make an imprint on his back due to the severity of the collision! COACH The Metrosexual Monster ain't pullin' no punches tonight! COLE We saw earlier that Bo heeded Zack's advice to seize the moment, and that's what led to him causing Zack's elimination in that eight man contest two weeks ago. Those two are fighting tooth and nail just for a CHANCE to become OAOAST World Champion, they might wind up finishing each other off before either can get their hands on the champion! Rico staggers in the corner, and is soon struck with a running lariat that crushes him in the corner! Rico slumps, but Bo picks him up and biels him out of the corner, sending him halfway across the ring! COACH I hope you had "under three minutes" in the pool tonight, Mikey Cole, because Bo looks set to finish off Rico right here! As Rico tries to recall what town we're in tonight, Bo hits the ropes...but in an act of desperation (or stupidity, your call), Lucius hooks his ankle as he runs the ropes, causing Bo to drop face first into the canvas! Rico, shaking off the effects of Bo's offense, winks at his partner and then starts clubbing the back of Bohemoth, as Lucius cheers him on...and then the cheers of the fans grow high and mighty, as the actions of Lucius have just caused an undesired outcome. COLE Coach, it's Zack! Zack Malibu is charging down the aisle! Malibu heads to ringside and rounds the corner, rushing after Lucius, who sees him and backsteps! Lucius begs off, then opts for a cheap shot, but Malibu blocks the punch and waylays him with several shots of his own, then sends Lucius into the metal stairs! Lucius, groggy and sore, comes up to his feet, but Maibu rushes him and leaves the ground, leaping into the air to drive the point of his knee into the side of Lucius' head! COLE ZACK ATTACK ON LUCIUS SOUL! The fans roar, as Lucius is now a non-factor. Bo slips out of Rico's scoop slam attempt, then spins him around and plants him with a spinebuster! With the wind knocked out of him, Rico is easy pickings, as Bo picks him up and effortlessly swings him outward, drilling him hard into the canvas with the Erotic Awakening of B~! One hand on the chest is all it takes, as Bo makes the cocky pin while smirking at Malibu, waiting for Nick Patrick's count to make it official. ONE! TWO! THREE! DING! DING! DING! COLE Now that is impressive! COACH That's a BEAST, Michael Cole. Zack Malibu has no idea what Anglemania has in store for him when he has to meet that man! Bo gets up, and now he and Zack are staring each other down. Calmly, Malibu steps into the ring and the two go eye to eye, talking and nodding, with the fans buzzing the whole time. COACH Is he thanking him or is he going to kill him right here and now? COLE If I were a betting man, I'd bet the former and not the latter, but with the ways things are going between these two, who knows? Finally, Bo pats the shoulder of Malibu, a gesture of goodwill for Malibu's aid in offsetting Lucius' interference. Malibu nods in acceptance of the gesture and turns to walk away...then looks over his shoulder back at Bo AND CRACKS HIM WITH A SCHOOL'S OUT~! COACH YO~! COLE ZACK MALIBU...ZACK HAS JUST DROPPED BOHEMOTH WITH A SCHOOL'S OUT! The fans continue to buzz, some cheering loudly, some booing Zack's shot. Malibu walks over to Bo, standing over his unconscious body before kneeling down and slapping his chest, telling him "We're even!" Zack gets up, looking much more stoic and serious as usual, and heads to the back, never once looking back in regret at what he just did. COLE Zack Malibu and Bohemoth...they're both out for blood, it looks like neither one wants to wait for Anglemania! Fortunately, for those of you at home waiting for more OAOAST action, we'll have a lot more HeldDOWN~! for you, right after this!

Zack Malibu vs. Bohemoth
-
Absolutely not. It's a nice companion piece if you have Heroes already, but they don't go as in depth at all. WWE revisionist history paints Michael Hayes in a savior's light and more or less how if The Freebirds didn't go to Dallas it would have been nothing. I grew up on World Class so for me to have some of the footage on DVD I won't complain, but documentary wise, Heroes is eons better. That was one of my two favorite wrestling DVD's last year (the other being the Pillman DVD).

We head backstage to see Zack Malibu, prepped for action (no pun inten...ah, yes it was), exiting his locker room. As soon as the door closes behind him he turns, and comes face to face with Bohemoth. The two share a tense moment, both men probably wanting to knock the others jaw loose, but cooler heads prevail, and instead Bo starts talking rather than punching. BO So, what are you, the resident mystery partner all of a sudden? First a few weeks ago, and that I could see...you've got a history with Cone. Now tonight, with Tha Puerto Rican? C'mon Zack, what happened to Mr. Fan Favorite, siding with a goon like that? Pressure finally getting to you? MALIBU Smartass. See, you're so intent on trying to make me out to be the bad guy in all this, but you've got tunnel vision. Me and PRL, we're not friends. Not even close. But he came up to me, face to face...something you're not familiar with lately, and asked me for my help because no one in this company is more familiar with Popick than I am. Now think about it...I'm in a match with the World Champion tonight, someone that I've beaten many times before, and someone that has something that I want...and knowing Popick the way I do, what happens if I pin him tonight, Bo? What happens if I pin the World Heavyweight Champion on national television. I get *that much* closer to the World Title, while you've still got steam coming out of your ears over the Lethal Rumble. If I pin Popick tonight, it looks good in the record books, and it means that instead of chasing the belt, the person with the belt might start chasing me. So where does that leave you, Bo? Bitter? Angry? You and I, we've got issues and we're going to settle them at Anglemania...but you need to play it smart. Opportunity knocked tonight, and I took it. For one night only, Zack Malibu and Tha Puerto Rican are going to see eye to eye, which is longer than you and I have lately. I know it's eating you up inside, everything that's been going on lately. Things have gone further than we wanted, and there's no going back now. We're going to the big time, the grandest stage in all of wrestling so that we can hopefully bury the hatchet. I'm just worried that you might try to bury one in my back before then. BO You're not giving me enough credit, Zack. MALIBU Not true, Bo, I'm giving you a lot of credit, because like I said...I saw an opportunity tonight. Who's to say you won't see one en route to Anglemania? I'm just saying, face to face, save it for then. Don't let this thing break down further than it did. I'm just giving you fair warning that my eyes are open. I learned a long time ago not to put anything past anyone, friend or foe. You might be watching my back, or you just might be measuring up the spot to plant the knife, I'm not sure. At least with PRL there's no question what kind of guy he is. BO And teaming with him doesn't put you in a shade of grey? MALIBU No one said it doesn't...but at least I said my piece on it. I know why I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm just wondering if you're living your life to get to the top, to get the belt that you and I both realize can take us to the top of the mountain, or to make my life a living hell. I'm wondering what's more important to you. Like I said, the match at Anglemania is signed and set. You and I are going to have a hell of a lot of frustration to let out...in the meantime, you're dwelling on it, while I'm stepping into the ring with the man who has what you and I both want. So who's coming out ahead tonight, Bo? How's that for our "friendly competition"? Malibu pats Bo on the shoulder and walks past, heading for the gorilla position. Bo turns, a sneer stretched across his face, as the screen fades to black, and segues into a word from our sponsor.

There will be 8 more episodes in the fall, essentially a "Season 5, Part 2", sort of like what the Sopranos did in their last season.
-
Zack and Bo promo that I didn't get to do last week, thanks to my wonderful cold!
-
This season is much better than the majority of last season, but I could live without numerous Rosie appearances and that whole suicide bomber deal. I'm wondering if Christian will contract HIV now that he's had the "clean bill of health" given to him. Either from the brief sex with Gina or perhaps rushing to her aid without thinking, and getting blood on him.

That story happened some time ago. Poor Patty is behind!

"Getting Away With Murder" welcomes us back to HeldDOWN~!, and both the fans in the arena and those watching at home are equally happy to see ZACK MALIBU make his arrival on tonight's edition of the OAOAST's famed show. COLE We were scheduled last week to get a word with Zack regarding his participation in the Lethal Rumble this Sunday, and the friendly competition he has going on with Bohemoth, however last week Zack got a little sidetracked, as he was called out by Christian Wright, immediately after The Enterprise had scored a victory over Rescue 911! COACH CW thought that Zack chose him as Bo's opponent two weeks ago for Pick Your Poison was to avoid a confrontation with him, but Zack came out and took up the challenge...and got a little help from Bo along the way. COLE I wouldn't call it help, Coach. Bohemoth hit the ring to even the odds after the ref went down, and disposed of Moneymaker and CPA, leaving Zack and Wright to finish things mano y mano, and Zack chalked up another "W" at the expense of CW! Malibu, for the second week in a row clad casually and not for battle, takes the mic, and gives the fans a minute to collect themselves and soften the "ZACK" chant that makes the walls of the arena vibrate. Once things are settled, Zack starts talking, letting us know what's been on his mind. MALIBU I was supposed to have this time last week, but we all know how that went...and I guess it's good that I got this time this week, because I've got a few things to say about last week! COACH Did you catch all that, Mikey? COLE Sssh, quiet. MALIBU Last week, Christian Wright laid out a challenge, and implied that two weeks back, on the night of the "Pick Your Poison" matchups, that I chose him as Bo's opponent because I feared Christian Wright. That I felt that Christian Wright would be a setback on my quest to get back to the OAOAST World Heavyweight Title. I don't know if in his deluded mindset he believed this, or if it was just some type of trap all along, the bottom line is that Christian Wright, last week you're the one who got knocked down a peg or two. That victory over Rescue 911 didn't even have a chance to settle in before I nearly sent your teeth traveling down your throat with a School's Out! The crowd roars, obviously pleased with INTENSE~! Zack. MALIBU I do have to say one other thing though, and that goes to Bohemoth. Bo, you could have left me out there to take a beating, but you proved why you're a man's man last week, coming out and clearing the ring of The Enterprise when they were beating me down. You could have used that as an opportunity to get me softened up so you could get ahead, but you didn't, and for that, you have my respect. The crowd applauds the show of sportsmanship, and Malibu nods his head, approving of the crowd reaction. Within moments though, Malibu's recap of the last week is cut off by the very man he just gave thanks to! "Liberate" by Disturbed kicks in, and the crowd pops for the arrival of the always well-dressed hoss, who is making his way to the ring with a smirk stretched across his face. COLE Bohemoth heading to the ring, and Zack looks a little wary of this. Bo steps into the ring and brushes past Malibu, getting on the ropes and flexing a bit for the crowd. As his music dies down, Bo comes over and locks eyes with Malibu, and the two superstars, both looking to be the next World Heavyweight Champion, are eye to eye. Bo then motions for another microphone, which he gets, and starts to add his two cents to Malibu's thoughts. BO First off, let me just say that I appreciate what you said, and that the respect you have for me is reciprocated in full, so one of the reasons I'm out here right now, is so you can shake my hand on that! Malibu hesitates for a moment, but then shakes the hand of the big man, drawing another favorable response. BO Now, with you knowing that, I have something to confess to you, Zack. What you said a few minutes ago, about me leaving you high and dry? Yeah, I could have done that. I could have sat in the back and watched them pound on you, but then I thought to myself "I can't let this happen"...and it wasn't for the reason you'd think, Zack. Zack, and the rest of the world, now seem perplexed, but Bo presses on. BO If I hadn't come out here, Zack...if I hadn't cleared the ring, what would have happened when the referee woke up? You would have gotten the win by disqualification. You'd have had a few more bumps and bruises, but you'd have won. It's the same reason why I threw Christian Wright back into the ring last week...do you think that it was to set you up for the win? Do you think, in the middle of this World Title chase we've got going on, that I'd HELP you win? Zack, I threw him back into the ring so that you didn't get a countout win! Zack now sees where Bo is going with this, and doesn't look too happy. Neither are a few fans, as some scattered but audible boos are heard. BO I'm telling you face to face, man to man, because that's how I do things, Zack, and I know that's how you do things. I didn't come out here to help YOU, I came out here to help MYSELF! The fact that you got the win is fine, and congratulations on it...but don't mistake respect for friendship, Zack. Don't think the respect changes the fact that we want the same things. Don't think that come Sunday, when you and I are in the Lethal Rumble, that if it comes down between you and I at the end, that I won't hurl your ass to the floor and take the high road to Anglemania! MALIBU OK, OK, I get it...but don't YOU forget that if you find your back against the wall sometime, I have a choice on what I want to do. You were out here last week and had my back, and I appreciate that...but if you want to play the selfish card, that can go two ways. Don't think that I'm above doing these same things, Bo. I've been through more in the last six years than you have in your entire life. I fight, I bleed, I EXIST for my family, for these fans, and for this company...but don't you think for a second that I can't be a selfish son of a bitch, because if THAT is the game you're looking to play, then you best be prepared to lose ANOTHER competition! The mood is tense now, and the two superstars are eye to eye again. Bo steps back, puts his hands up in surrender, and starts to speak. BO Look, Zack...we're saying things now in the heat of the moment that we may regret in the morning, so let's just cut our losses while we can. I'm not going to screw up your chances at trying to become World Champion again, and I know that you're not going to do it to me either. Moments like this, it just adds to the fire inside us, it adds to the thrill of the chase, and it couldn't come at a better time, because come Sunday, I'm going cut through this roster like a buzzsaw, and I'M going to be the one with his hand raised, flying first class to a World Title match at the event that made you a name! So Zack, know that I respect you. Know that I'm watching out for you, and know that if it comes down to you and me that all I can say is...better luck next time. Bo puts the mic down and steps back, staring at Malibu, whose anger has died down into a still-stern look. Bohemoth exits the ring, and the camera pans in on Zack, pondering the possible outcomes of the Lethal Rumble at Anglepalooza this Sunday. FADE OUT.

The whole Taylor Made Man thing came about after the demise of the York Foundation. It was in 1992 that he evolved into that gimmick, and formed a tag team with Greg Valentine (who I remember running out clad in a suit on an ep of WCW Saturday Night and attacking someone with Taylor).
-
I actually saw them at a similar concert (92 Pro FM Jingle Mingle in December of '00) and they did a great live set. I'll never forget that they covered Bryan Adams' "Summer Of '69" during it, with the reasoning that they went to the same high school as him, so they wanted to do one of his hit songs, and it sounded really good. I kinda wish they'd have had it available on a CD, or at least as a download. I had DL'd most of the tracks from the second album from a few years ago, but wasn't as much of a fan as I was the first album.

Back from break, and Christian Wright and Theodore Moneymaker are still in the ring after their victory over Rescue 911. Wright, wiping beads of sweat from his brow, has the mic in his hand, and the fans aren't looking forward to having to hear what he has to say, as evidenced by their consistent jeers. WRIGHT What you just saw, was an exercise in excellence. We two men right here, in top physical condition, perfectly healthy and perfectly wealthy, taking care of these two wannabe civil servants who have no right disgracing the OAOAST ring! "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" WRIGHT But I don't want to talk about them...the person I wish to talk about at this time is your so-called savior, your hero, your...ugh, franchise, Zack Malibu! The fans roar at the mention of the ever-popular star, while the rest of The Enterprise share Christian's disdain by the look on their faces. WRIGHT Let me tell you something about Zack Malibu. Do you know why he chose me last week as Bohemoth's opponent in their little Pick Your Poison challenge? Do you honestly think it was simply because Bo and I have a past? No, no, no, supporters of the OAOAST, do not be fooled. Zack Malibu chose Christian Wright, myself, to take on Bohemoth because he is AFRAID OF ME! Remember that booing from just moments ago? It's now louder than ever, and Wright grows more incensed, not with the fans, but rather with the thoughts running through his head and then exiting out of his mouth. WRIGHT Zack Malibu chose Bohemoth to avoid a confrontation with me! Zack Malibu knows that, had I been chosen, that I would have been a setback to his race back to the World Championship. Zack Malibu is manipulative, Zack Malibu is a fraud, and Zack Malibu has every single one of you fooled into thinking that he means so much to the OAOAST! Zack Malibu is NOTHING! The strong words are grating on the nerves of the crowd, the vast majority of whom are Malibu fans. Still, Wright presses on. WRIGHT Zack, I know you're back there. You're here tonight because Michael Cole was going to have a wonderful little interview with you, talking about your competition with that anchor I cut loose long ago. Well, Zack, I'm fresh off one match tonight, but I'm certainly game for another. So if you're man enough, Zack...if you believe in yourself so much that you can take on any challenge en route to the World Championship, then get out here right now, because I am CHALLENGING YOU! That's right, Zack...you and I, once again, in this ring, on this night! The fans roar at the challenge, wanting Wright to have his mouth shut personally by their hero. Moments later, their prayers are answered, as "Getting Away With Murder" sends them into a frenzy, and puts a smirk on Christian Wright's face. COLE Christian Wright, in a moment that some may call confident, and many may feel was stupid, has gotten the attention of the former World Heavyweight Champion! In a simple white button down and blue jeans outfit, Zack Malibu comes pacing down the aisle, and rolls right into the lion's den, as the members of The Enterprise inch back when he glares at them all. Stealing the mic from Wright, Malibu motions for his music to be cut, and despite the impromptu nature of this all, answers Wright with what he may regret hearing. MALIBU You're ON! Malibu throws the mic over his shoulder, then starts blasting Wright with right hands, as the referee from the prior contest, retained by Wright for this one, calls for the bell! Christian Wright gets whipped into the ropes, and then Malibu nails him with a leaping lariat! Wright gets up, and Malibu starts firing off chops instead of punches this time, blistering his chest until he's cut off by a thumb to the eye! As the referee scolds Wright for the tactic, the brash star nails Malibu with a European uppercut that staggers him. Wright then whips Zack into the ropes, then tucks his head, which is a mistake as Zack blasts him with a kick! Wright's head cocks back, and Malibu grabs him for what appears to be the rock bottom backbreaker, but Wright clocks him with an elbow, then takes him down with a belly to belly suplex! CW then starts putting the boots to Zack, working him over before picking him up and shoving him into the corner, where he continues to kick away at him! Wright then pulls Zack out of the corner, but Malibu puts the brakes on, and a second attempt has the same result as the first, as he won't budge! Zack hits a kick to the midsection that doubles CW over, then takes him by the head and rams it into the turnbuckle, then climbs the ropes as Christian staggers back, and nails him with a flying crossbody off the top rope! ONE! TWO! NO! Wright kicks out, but as they both get up, Zack readies him for a suplex, but it's reversed...and then reversed by Zack, who slides out of his grasp and lands behind him, then runs him to the ropes! As he tries to pull back into a rollup, Zack comes up short, as Christian hangs onto the ropes...and when he goes after him again he winds up backdropped over the ropes...but lands on the apron! Wright turns around, but gets blasted with a shoulderblock through the ropes before Zack slingshots himself in, hurdling over Wright and running the ropes, coming back with a dropkick that sends CW flying through the middle ropes and out to the floor! COLE Christian Wright might be regretting his challenge right about now, since Malibu has had the upper hand for most of this contest! COACH C'mon Cole, it takes a real man to make a challenge right after he's wrestled a match already. When was the last time Zack di...YO! As the Enterprise is helping Christian up off the floor, Malibu seizes the moment and runs the ropes again, then dives through the middle ropes with a tope that wipes Christian, Moneymaker, and CPA out in one fell swoop! Malibu gets up and is worked up, unbuttoning his shirt and throwing it to the side and getting some happy squeals from the female fanbase! Malibu pulls Christian up out of the Enterprise wreckage and rolls him into the ring, then leaps onto the apron and then onto the ropes, hitting a springboard legdrop that gets some major hang time before it finds its mark across Wright's throat! ONE! TW-NO! CPA pulls the referee out before he can complete the count, and he is NOT happy about that! COLE Bold move putting your hands on an OAOAST official, CPA! Allen stares down the official, who isn't afraid to stand up for himself and nudge the burly security guard, warning him to watch himself. In the ring, Zack leads Christian to his feet, but as he does, CW pushes Zack back into the ropes, and into the official, who goes flying to the floor! COLE Nick Patrick is DOWN, and not one person from The Enterprise tried to catch him! COACH Can you blame them? COLE ... Zack stumbles forward after the collision, and Wright pops up and drops him with a facebuster, and follows with an inverted atomic drop that stuns the Preppy One. COLE He's going for the C4! Wright tries for the third move in the sequence, the STO, but Zack drives his elbow into the side of his head, then takes him down with his own STO! Zack then mounts the shoulders and opens fire with elbow after elbow, mashing Wright's million dollar face in...until Theodore Moneymaker slides into the ring and nails Zack with a boot to the back of the head! COLE C'mon now! Moneymaker works Zack over while Wright recovers, and CPA enters the ring as well, with Mackenzie cheerleading the whole ordeal. The three members of The Enterprise pile up on Zack, working him over any which way they can. COLE Malibu is succumbing to the odds, and you have to wonder Coach, was this a trap all along? COACH Coulda been, Mikey Cole, coulda been! The crowd grows hostile, booing the beatdown...then have some life injected into them, as BOHEMOTH charges down the aisle! COLE What's gonna happen here!? Bo slides into the ring, and his first order of business is to nail Christopher Patrick Allen with a hard running lariat! Moneymaker charges him next, and Bo quickly scoops him off his feet and drives him into the canvas with a spinebuster! COLE Bohemoth coming out here to help even the odds a bit, and listen to this crowd! The fans are frenzied as CPA and TM roll around aching on the canvas, while Bo stalks Christian Wright. Wright begs off, but Bo actually backs down, surprising Christian Wright! Bo leaves the ring, while CW calls him a coward, to which Bo replies "you're not my problem." Wright sneers at Bo before turning around...RIGHT INTO A SCHOOL'S OUT...NO! CW ducks at the last second and rolls out of the ring to escape...but is promptly grabbed by Bo and hurled back into the ring! Wright is now more disgusted than ever, as he gets up and dusts himself off...AND NOW GETS CRACKED WITH A SCHOOL'S OUT BY ZACK MALIBU! Zack covers, and the recovered ref crawls in for the count! ONE! TWO! THREE! DING! DING! DING! COACH I'll be damned, Zack Malibu gettin' things done tonight! COLE The Enterprise tried to set him up, but that mutual respect came through in spades tonight, as Bohemoth had Zack's back! COACH But did you notice, Cole...did you notice that Bo never laid a hand on Christian Wright! Bo didn't want Zack's win coming at his expense...he evened the odds, but he left the rest to Zack. COLE And Zack took care of the rest, hitting that superkick that he can connect with out of nowhere, and shutting the mouth of The Natural! Zack gets his hand raised, and turns to see Bo applauding in the aisle way. Bo backs up, and gives Zack a thumbs up, to which Malibu nods. Malibu surveys the carnage around him, as The Enterprise are all laid out, and leaves Mackenzie to pick up the pieces, as he bails out of the ring. COLE The Lethal Rumble is just a short time away, and that could be the night that Zack Malibu gains another opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Title, and he's stepping over anyone in his path. Tonight The Enterprise found out the hard way that no matter what the competition may be between Zack and Bo, the mutual respect of these men is what comes first, and there is no doubt that they have each other's backs! Malibu catches up to Bo in the aisleway, and the two just eye each other before Zack pats the big man on the shoulder and continues on to the back, only to be followed by the big man. Both disappear behind the curtain as Mackenzie screams from the ring, unhappy with the end result of Christian Wright's challenge, and we cut to our latest commercial break.

They could do a draw, and further increase her standing, while Angles next feud segues from the fact that he couldn't put her away...although it runs the risk of making him look weak against her by not getting a decisive victory.

Regarding Jeff's nicknames, he himself came up with "The Charismatic Enigma", not TNA bookers.

The One and Only Stephen Joseph Thread
Zack Malibu replied to Stephen Joseph's topic in Brandon Truitt
A Zack Malibu shirt was finally made. Awesomeness. -
COLE Welcome back to HeldDOWN, fans, as we are now ready for our main event. We saw at the start of the show that Zack Malibu and Bohemoth, two men with a friendly rivalry going on, picking each others opponents for this evening. Earlier tonight Bohemoth made it past his former partner, Christian Wright, in a hard fought contest, while Malibu now has to contend with a man he once shared the World Tag Team Titles with, his good friend Leon Rodez! COACH If you ask me, Mikey Cole, Bo made the better choice tonight. Zack picked someone who knows Bo well, no doubt...but he picked someone that Bo now loathes, and when a man that size hates someone enough, he's going to steamroll right over them. Bo came out victorious tonight, but Malibu's back is sorta against the wall here. He has no issues with Leon Rodez, he doesn't have any hatred for Leon Rodez...Leon Rodez is his friend. It'll be a great match fo' sho', but as far as Zack's motivation to win? We saw him bust out that vicious streak when it's needed, against Bruce Blank and against He Who Shall Not Be Named...he ain't gonna do that here, and that could cost him! Trust Company's cover of the famed rock hit "Rock The Casbah" booms over the PA, and the fans erupt, anxiously anticipating this contest. Leon Rodez comes shuffling out from behind the curtain, bopping around the aisleway with a huge smile on his face as he points out a select few of his many fans. BUFFER Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a Pick Your Poison Match, contested under standard one fall to a finish rules. Introducing first, the man selected tonight by the Metrosexual Monster, Bohemoth, to be the opponent for Zack Malibu. He weighs in tonight at two hundred and twenty pounds...hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan...THIS...is LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEON ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODEZZZZZZZZZ! The roar of the fans is heard loud and clear by Leon, who stands on the apron cupping his ear. Rodez slingshots himself over the ropes and runs the ropes, warming up as Malibu's music overpowers his own. Once "Getting Away With Murder" kicks into gear, Malibu steps out and starts his powerwalk to the ring, looking from side to side at the jam-packed crowd that is cheering wildly. BUFFER His opponent, weighing in tonight at two hundred, ten pounds...hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, he has come to be known as the Modern Day Warrior, but more importantly, as the Franchise of the One and Only Anglesault Thread...THIS...is...ZAAAAAAAAAAACK MAAAAAAALLLLLLLLIBUUUUUUUUU! Zack rolls into the ring and kips up to his feet, then points at Leon and waves him on. Zack gives a quick slap of the hand to his former partner, a sign of respect before the contest kicks off. Once the music dies down and the bell rings, we're off and running, as the second part of the Pick Your Poison Challenge starts...NOW! DING! DING! DING! The two friends rush towards each other and tie up, quickly jockeying for position. As they struggle, Leon breaks free of the lockup and uses a go-behind. Malilbu realizes he's trapped in a waistlock and fires an elbow back, but Leon ducks it and breaks the hold! The momentum of firing the elbow back turns Zack towards his opponent, and Leon is quick to use an armdrag, taking his former tag team partner down to the mat! Zack gets right back up, but Leon takes him by the head and wrenches it, only to be shot towards the ropes. Malibu extends an arm and goes for a hiptoss, but Leon blocks the takeover, then tries one of his own, only to have that blocked by Zack! The former World Champion's knee meets Leon's ribs, and then Rodez finds himself taken up for a suplex...but he wriggles free and falls behind Zack, then yanks him to the canvas with a schoolboy! ONE! KICKOUT! Leon, who has been on top of his game thus far, rolls to his feet immediately and backs Zack to the ropes, sending him across the ring...but when he leaps up for a rana, Zack puts on the brakes, and watches as Leon crashes back to the mat! Rodez sits up, dazed from the crash landing, and he's knocked onto his back by a basement dropkick that finds its mark! Rodez knows he can't just lay on the canvas and allow Zack to take over, so he moves to a standing base, favoring his jaw, as Malibu comes at him. Leon reacts, kicking Zack in the ribs and then striking with a set of right hands and pulling Zack into another headlock...but Malibu suplexes him out of it...NO! Leon floats over, landing on his feet...but Zack fires an elbow back that connects this time around, doing no favors for Leon's already sore jaw...and then an enzugiri sends him facefirst into the canvas! COLE Some great counter wrestling here in the early portion, and that's to be expected when you've got former World Tag Team Champions locking up with each other! COACH Bo knew what he was doing when he picked The Silky Smooth One to take on Zack tonight...he knows if anyone has Zack's number, it's the one guy on the active roster who knows him inside and out! Zack helps Leon to his feet, then goes to town on him, allowing hand to meet singlet in the form of some open hand chops. Leon reels and backs himself into the ropes, but won't allow himself to be whipped across the ring when Zack attempts it! Instead, he yanks Zack towards him and elevates him over the ropes, outside of the ring...but Zack lands on the apron! Rodez turns around and catches Zack attempting to springboard in, so he rushes the ropes and shoves Zack down to the apron! Leon then tries for a shoulderblock through the ropes, but Zack sidesteps it, and hits a hard kick to Leon's chest, leaving him dazed as he rests between the top and middle rope. Malibu slingshots over his friend and goes for a sunset flip rollup, but as Leon is about to be taken over, he grabs the top rope with both hands, frees his legs, and delivers a quick double stomp to Zack's chest! Zack grabs at his chest, only for it to be caved in for the second time in under a minute, as Leon hits a back senton, dropping his weight across Zack's upper body! Leon turns over and cradles a leg, looking rather excited as the referee hits the canvas to count. ONE! T-KICKOUT! COLE Zack kicking out once again, but Leon is showing great determination in weakening his former partner. COACH Why not? A win for Leon shoots him right back up the ladder, while Malibu gets knocked down a notch, not to mention that Bo will have one up on him after winning earlier tonight. After being brought up, Malibu gets snapmared over, and Leon connects with a hard soccer kick to the back before dropping to one knee and trapping Malibu in a rear chinlock, pressing the point of his knee between Malibu's shoulder blades. Zack squirms, feeling as uncomfortable as he looks, but manages to make it to his feet and take Leon over with a fireman's carry. Rodez hurries up, but Zack runs him chest first into the corner, then spins him around and connects with forearms across the jaw, then sends Rodez zooming across the ring against his will, towards the opposite corner! Malibu turns and follows, but before Leon hits he leaps up and lands on the second turnbuckle with cat like agility, and leaps back with a flying bodypress...but Zack ducks under it, runs up the ropes, and hits a twisting frog splash mere seconds after Leon has crash landed! ONE! TWO! NO! COLE Leon Rodez proving to be just as resilient as Zack Malibu, kicking out of that high impact splash! Malibu rolls off and goes for the legs, pulling up Leon's weaker leg and delivering a pair of kicks to the back of the knee before Leon kicks him away with his free leg. Zack comes forward, but Leon rolls onto all fours and knocks Zack's legs out from under him. Malibu rolls to his feet, as Leon comes forward with a slight limp, connecting with an overhand right! He pulls Zack in and hammers on his back with forearms, then sets him up for a suplex...but Malibu kicks his legs, shifting the weight! Zack then goes for a suplex on Leon, but Leon uses the same tactic as Zack, and it pays off, as Zack is unable to get Leon up and over! They break, and Leon pops up with a jab, and another, and another, and another! Four jabs find their mark as Malibu is dazed, and Leon goes for an enzugiri...but Malibu ducks! Leon belly flops onto the canvas, and Zack reaches down and hoists him up to his feet, then tries to lift him with a German Suplex, but Leon elbows out, reaches back, and then drops down so that Zack's jaw shatters on the crown of Leon's head! The move sends Zack spilling through the ropes, but he lands on the apron! Leon comes over and stuns Zack further, hitting a double ear clap before dropkicking Malibu's legs out from under him, causing him to drop to the floor and whack his chin on the apron! Leon then races to the ropes and connects with a baseball slide that sends Malibu staggering back into the guardrail. Leon perches himself on the apron, and as Malibu shakes off the attack, dives off with a Thesz Press that puts Zack on the floor! Leon pops up and pumps his fists, while the majority of the crowd shares his enthusiasm as he takes on the OAOAST's most beloved son. COACH Leon just wiped Zack out, and don't it seem to you, Cole, that Zack is holding back a little bit? COLE That's a valid point, Coach. We've seen some great counter wrestling, but as far as the gritty determination usually shown by Malibu, it's missing tonight. Malibu knows that Leon is an obstacle, but I think he's putting friendship first, which is certainly honorable, but won't mean a thing for his win/loss record! Leon pulls Zack up, but as he does, Zack blasts him with a knee to the ribs, then takes his head and slams it into the ring apron! With Leon stunned, Zack hops up on the apron and pulls Leon up with him, striking him with knife edge chops as they balance themselves on the apron...and Leon fights back with chops of his own! Leon leans over the top rope so that it shifts him up and over, floating back into the ring on his feet, and from there he tries a dropkick on Zack that gets swatted down! Zack then slingshots up onto the ropes and springboards in, catching Leon with a bulldog mere seconds after he got back on his feet! ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Knowing enough to keep the momentum in his favor, Zack brings Leon up and pushes him into the corner, then climbs onto the middle rope and starts working him over with punches, all while the crowd enjoys their shot at interaction. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! At that point, Leon has had enough, and throws Malibu down to the canvas, but Zack quickly rolls through and gets up, charging in with a full head of steam...right into a back elbow! Leon then takes the stunned Malibu and hooks him for a tornado DDT...but in mid-rotation, Zack shoves HIM off, and when his body raises up, so does his foot, as he goes for SCHOOL'S OUT...NO! Leon catches the boot and throws it down, only for Malibu to follow up with a discus clothesline, which is ducked by Leon, who uses a quick go-behind and brings Zack crashing down on the back of his head with a German suplex! ONE! TWO! T-KICKOUT! COLE THERE'S more of that great counter-wrestling from these two! They know each other so well, it's tough to gain an advantage here in this contest! Leon, almost in a mimicking of his friend-slash-opponent, rolls Zack to his feet while holding onto the waistlock. Zack reaches and tries to break Leon's grip, but when he's unable to do that, he fires back a pair of elbows, then uses a go-behind of his own, but as he does Leon drops to the mat, kicks his legs up, and hooks them around Zack's arms, pulling him down into a cradle rollup! ONE! TWO! TH-NO! COACH Close call there, Mikey Cole! As both scramble back up, Leon grabs Zack by the wrist and shoots him to the corner, then charges in and hits his own patented Superman Spear, knocking the wind out of the former World Champion! The New-Age Love Machine then leads the other half of The Usual Suspects out of the corner and shoots him into the ropes, then somersaults towards him before popping up and nailing Zack with a hard lariat that puts him down! COLE A Superman Spear-Shack Attack combo, and Leon Rodez is heating things up on HeldDOWN~! Groggy, Malibu crawls towards the ropes, but Leon grabs him and hits a scoop slam, setting Zack up near one of the corners. Leon turns and starts climbing the ropes, but before he can set himself, Zack pops up and manuevers under Leon, putting the Grand Rapids Golden Child on his shoulders! Zack steps back from the corner, but before he can be dropped involuntarily, Leon spins himself into a sunset flip, bringing Zack down into a pin attempt that Leon himself breaks, as he switches gears and tries for a Liontamer! COLE If he turns him over, this could be it! COACH I don't know, Mikey...Leon didn't really target the legs much, and you know that Zacky boy has a ton of leg strength! COLE Coach, you're on a roll with the facts tonight...however even if it doesn't get the win, it could weaken Zack's legs enough to cut a lot of his offense out of the playbook! Zack won't keep still, fighting from being turned over, until finally, Leon manages to roll Zack over into his trademark submission! Some fans roar, some boo, as the crowd is conflicted watching two of their most beloved go at it in the main event tonight, while Zack Malibu struggles to free himself from the hold! COLE The ropes aren't too far away, if Zack can just get to them he can get the break! COACH How much will it take out of him though, Cole? They've been going at it for a while now, not to mention the job of weakening Zack the Liontamer is doing right now! Zack squirms, as Leon desperately tries to keep hold...but after a few moments of flailing, Zack is just barely able to grab onto the bottom rope. Referee Robinson immediately calls for a break, and gets it, as Leon isn't about to abuse the rulebook, and certainly not against one of his best friends. Zack uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet, and Leon actually gives him the space to do so...but when Zack turns around, he's rocked with an inverted atomic drop! Leon puts Zack in his clutches and goes for his STO backbreaker, but Zack drives the point of his elbow into the side of Leon's head, then sends him hard into the corner, and follows up immediately with a ZACK ATTACK II, driving both of his knees into Leon's chest...and as Malibu lands back on his feet, he limps slightly, visibly worn a bit from the Liontamer mere moments ago! Malibu then blasts Leon with a European uppercut while he's slumped against the turnbuckles, then sets him up on the top rope. Malibu climbs up the ropes, but Leon still has enough strength to club Zack in the ribs and shove him off, sending Zack crashing back-first to the canvas! With the wind knocked out of him, Zack has nowhere to go, as Leon perches himself up on the top rope and leaps off, rotating his body in the air before coming down hard...ON THE MAT! ZACK MALIBU AVOIDS THE 450 SPLASH! COACH I give it an 8. The execution was perfect but the landing was a little rough. Both are groggy, and get back up to their vertical base...and Malibu pulls Leon down into a small package, rolling him up for the pin while Leon is defenseless! ONE! TWO! THR-NO! COLE A missed 450 Splash certainly jarred Leon Rodez, but not enough for Zack Malibu to get the pin! Leon kicks out, and both men are up, trading hard chops with each other, each doing their best to try and wear the other down. Leon gets the upper hand, his chops connecting faster and harder than Zack's do, finally knocking him on his back! Zack gets back up to his feet and charges, and finds himself backdropped over by Leon, leaving him looking at the lights once again! Leon goes and picks Zack up, lifting him up for a back suplex that he turns into his trademark blue thunder bomb...but at the last second, Zack counters it and takes Leon over with a rana! Leon hurries to his feet and charges blindly, going for Zack...but winds up charging into the sole of his boot, as Zack connects with a School's Out that drops Leon like a sack of bricks! Zack falls on top of Leon, and remembers to hook the leg, as Robinson darts in for the count! ONE! TWO! THREE! DING! DING! DING! "Getting Away With Murder" signals the victory, as does the raising of Zack's hand by Charles Robinson. Exhausted, Malibu salutes the crowd that is egging him on, as he paces the ring, taking a few deep breaths after having just exhausted himself against one of the OAOAST's best. As Robinson tends to Leon, helping him up, Zack comes over and gives him a hand. When the dizzy Rodez is up to his feet, Malibu gives him a handshake and an embrace, drawing another loud pop from the crowd for their show of sportsmanship. COLE Bohemoth knew that by putting one of Zack's friends in front of him it might be a tougher obstacle for him to overcome, and Leon certainly gave Zack the fight of his life tonight. Still, both Zack and Bo chalk up another win for each of their records, as the little competition is still neck and neck! COACH The path back to the World Title, or in Bo's case the path to his first World Championship is going to be a rocky road, but what an effort from both of these guys, as well as their opponents tonight. Leon raises Zack's hand, motioning for the crowd to show respect for his friend and former tag partner. Zack thanks Leon for his courtesy, and then the two exit the ring, both heading towards the back for some rest and relaxation after an amazing contest. COLE The poison's were picked tonight, but victory was the andidote for both Zack Malibu and Bohemoth. What else lays in store for Zack and Bo, as well as the rest of the OAOAST as we head towards Anglepalooza and the Lethal Rumble? Tune in next week to find out. Until then, I'm Michael Cole, for the Coach, signing off!
