Back off, that's my kool-aid. I'd imagine being a party (school dance, bah mitzvah, wedding) DJ nowadays would be extremely easy thanks to filesharing programs. You don't even have to bring CDs anymore, just a laptop connected to good speakers. Sorry Corey, but this would be my side gig, unless I got a permanent spot doing it somewhere (my cousin does own a club, but caters more towards the hip/hop and R&B crowd. While I'm down with a lot of that music, I can't handle being a strict R&B DJ.). In a perfect world, I'd have a nice supply of dance, freestyle, hip/hop, R&B, the requisite 80's-90's crowd anthems, and what not. A perfect blend for pretty much everyone. As for using burnt CD's or whatever, I wouldn't do that. I'd go out and get the actual CD/vinyl that I'd need. I have one friend whose cousin DJ's, and he's a member of something called (I think) DJ World or DJ Club and he pays a certain fee, and gets copies of all hot club tracks/top 40 songs and mixes once a month. That way he's up to date on what all the kidz wanna hear.

I caught Even Stevens during my vacation (gee, who would have thought that The Disney Channel would play at Disney resorts?) and I've gotta say, she's quite do-able, and is at least a Disney girl of age, so that we don't have another Hilary Duff fiasco on our hands.

Yep, the Florida vacation has (sadly) ended, and I'm back home. The trip went quite well, with a high point getting a standing ovation in 8-Trax (a Pleasure Island club) for proving once again that I have no shame and busting out the Vanilla Ice dancesteps while "Ice, Ice Baby" played on the video wall. How I wish I had the video camera on me that night. The times were good, the ladies were hot, and it was tough to leave, but I'm thinking of heading back down at the end of the year. Anyhow, I'm back, and I know that you missed me... ::is handed envelope full of money from Dames:: ...as much as I missed you! Now, what's been going on around here?

Worst show on TV, or ever? Fuck that noise, this show rocks. It's proven time and time again it's not just a "teen show", and has great depth and substance. I'm back from Florida, and just watched the tape of this past week's ep. I need to say right now that I FUCKING HATE Oliver, so I guess the actor that plays him is doing a good job. Happy go lucky Luke had me in stitches. The previews for next week look good, with Oliver snapping. I'm so waiting for Ryan to knock him on his ass.

OK gang, this week I'll be down in sunny Florida, and will not be around. So all your segments can be directed to Northstar, who has offered to cover the show this week. My character should still be around the show, pending I have someone to cover for me, and I've been covering for Ragdoll as well. I know Caboose has his things with Ragdoll worked out, so if he wants any segments, he'll have to write them. I do not leave until tomorrow morning so if you guys need to run anything by me, please do it ASAP.

Anybody seen any of these yet? I caught the 1986 episode the other day, and was marking the fuck out for so much stuff. I caught the majority of the episode, but what I saw included; -talk about the Garbage Pail Kids hype -the failure that was Geraldo and Al Capone's Vault -Clips from one of the greatest movies ever (IMO), Howard The Duck -Don Johnson's foray into pop rock with "Heartbeat", and showing most of the video This was the only one I saw. Any seen any of the others, or this one?

Found out about this from Kotz' Twilight Zone thread, figured I'd share with any fans here. WSBK 38 out of Boston used to run marathons every New Year's Eve from like 8pm-2 in the morning, but they got taken off our cable a while ago, and they also wound up showing chopped versions of the Stooges eps rather than the original, un-interrupted ones they were used to. I plan on taping as many as I can fit tonight, since most of my tapes are getting up their in age. I'm just pissed I found out about it now and it's been on since 12pm.

We've had a lot of these lately, so I figured I'd try to condense them all in one place. I'll pin this thread so to try to curb any others from popping up.

I'm going with an 8 for the show, as the X Division match stole the show (in every sense, heh), and the promo's/matches were good, we were just unable to have many "marquee" matches with 10 guys already involved in one match. Still, a 10-plus in effort to Sly, who wrote several promos, as well as the entire Gauntlet matchup. Give that man a hand.

Yep, as of 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, I'm leaving on vacation until next Friday. So before any rumors of my demise pop up, I figured I'd let you know well in advance. I'll still be popping on and off the board today between packing (and recovering from last night, heh), but I felt obligated to give my many fans the heads up.
