The Phoenix Suns: if you won't even buy our first round picks, then hell, we'll just give them to you! *sighs* So now they have no low post defensive presence. GREAT.

    Shitty Scenes in Great Movies

Double post so I will add another. Anthony ANderson and all scenes with him didn't need to be in Transformers. They could have easily done the same think using Tom Lenk's character or someone. That was just a unnecessary detour in the movie. And did I miss something? Wheelie was in the movie? Edit: Just realized you guys are referencing the 84 movie.

You liked Moulin Rouge but you wanted it to end with Ewan spitting on his sick/dying girlfriend? That's cold. I would have rather them dispatched of the Duke and his man servant with a longer version of come what may. That number after "Christian, they are trying to kill you!!!" sucked to me. They could still have the death after the curtain drop, but that "I will love you till my dying day" part was awsome and then got tossed out for the Bohemian theme.

Oh yeah, I forgot. They took out the state after I left. Cool...I didn't get the game the last two years so this might be a buy for me in about 2 months when I can get it for 20 bucks off ebay.

Steve Francis back to Houston. Should have gone to the Clippers honestly. But in Houston he now has to consistantly outplay Mike James and Rafer Alston. Not saying it isn't possible, but both are better shooters than him (although he is a better scorer when creating his own shot) and rebounder. Should be intersting. Despite what others might think about Francis, he can still be a very good player if he is happy. He stopped being effective when they traded Cuttino Mobley from Orlando and hasn't been happy with his position since.

Alot of the queens scenes in 300. "You will not enjoy this, it will not end quickly, I am not your queen" was pretty fucking kickass, but alot of the scenes leading up to it was pointless. Of course a bunch of old men using the shakey fist of ANGER~! while screaming traitor was hilarious and I couldn't have done without that scene.

It explained why she was quitting. Before that it was assumed that she tried to quit and got pregnant by the guy she was about to marry. that scene says it was bills baby.

Yeah I know, but I run into it often enough that it warrants mentioning. Where do you live? I thought the tall-T aka Night gown look was over and done with.

The "Like a virgin" number in Moulin Rouge and the group number at the end. If they had ended it somehow right after Ewan spit on Nicole with that last "come what may", I would have been happy. And yes. Moulin Rouge was a great movie and if you disagree go ahead and kick yourself in the balls and imagine me doing it.

Will you stop bolding things that I have said over and over. Did you happen to read the paragraph before this and what I was responding to? Conspiracy charges don't have great conviction rates because juries in general don't like the idea of convicting people of stuff when they weren't there. Therefore they have to prove that he knew and the only clean cut way to get that is to get one of the other defendants to testify against him or find something directly showing his knowledge. THAT part is a tough conviction. And out of all that you point out what they chained the dogs to? Thats like the least disturbing thing out of all of this. The dogs were chained and not caged. they attached the chains to buried car axles. There is nothing cruel about that at all(one of the few things that weren't cruel).

Atlanta should sign him yesterday. You don't want Joey fucking Harrington as your starter in case Vick can not play. I do think Vick will play to start the season though, but just in case, Dante Culpepper isn't a bad alternative.

You also have a hard time making people find someone guilty of something when they aren't there. Thats why conspiracy charges are so tough. People like to punish those that are actually there committing the crime. For every horrible detail of this, his lawyers are going to cross with "Did you see mister vick there?" and the answer is going to have to be "No." everytime. Which is once again, why the others are fucked. Vick is likely fucked but has some wiggle room.

Him owning the property alone does not constitute enough to say that he was involved. It is enough to get an indictment though. I am happy you do understand what the conspiracy charge means. If you read the indictment, there is no mention of Vick being physically at any of the dog fights. Their evidence is that according to witnesses Vick was sponsoring the dog. While damning and probably true, that is something that can be fought. Vick can maintain that the equipment was bought as part of a legitimate kennel, which he and I think the others are liscensed to do, so once again, his defense case has some legs to stand on. 7 years and there is no clear cut, solid, evidence to directly link Vick to this outside the testimonys of witnesses, most of whom didn't actually see Vick there. Once again, his case has some legs. His case will have NO legs if one of the other charged says he knew about it. While the feds have a great case record, conspiracy charges are difficult to prove and aren't as automatic. Rather you want to believe it or not, Vick has a very beatable case here unless one of his co-defendants turns and testifies against him. If you have all of them testifying that he didn't know anything about it, along with witnesses that didn't actually see him, he is not going to get convicted.

I just noticed I kept saying two when it should have been 3. the other 3 are fucked, unless they testify against Vick which is what the procecutors probably want. But really, if you read the indictment, Vick is charged with conspiracy meaning that he is being charged with things that he wasn't present for, but he knew about. His lawyers have to prove he didn't know. It will all pretty much hinge on the other 3 guys.

Are you out of your mind? That's a nineteen page federal indictment, with over fourteen pages of overt acts towards the crime, many of which pertain directly to the condition of Vick's property throughout federal investigation. The evidence includes dog purchases that coincide directly after Vick bought the house, alterations made to Vick's property to facilitate dog fighting, and "equipment" (including about 50 pit bulls, some of which had injuries consistent with those one would expect from dog fighting) used for the continued operation of breeding and testing the dogs for fighting. The multiple pages of "witness accounts" are just the cherry on the shit sundae. And there is no paper trail connecting Vick. His indictment would have come because he owned the property regardless (and he would have gotten off because he has to prove that he had no knowledge and had no part in what was going on there). Their case against VICK is the witnesses and the fact he owned the property. The witnesses connect him with the going ons there and him owning it connects Vick to the case. That is all they have on VICK. Now the other two are pretty well fucked. There is a paper trail connected them, they lived at the house so they knew what was going on, and the witnesses put them there. Vicks lawyers have to discredit the witnesses. The other two have to hope they get a light sentence. I am not saying the feds case is flimsy and they will get a conviction because there is no ducking it for two of the guys, but Vicks is duckable because if he is guilty he was smart enough not to go around signing shit and writing shit down. They have a incredibly strong case though. I just don't know if the stuff against the big fish in the case will hold up.

And then the Falcons cut him like Idiots. He had been injured twice in his career(both year with the falcons). THey should have given him more time. Now that POS Kieth Brooking is back at Middle linebacker. He will get 200 tackles this year....none for a loss and all of them in the secondary.

Vick probably won't get a conviction. THeir entire case is based on witness accounts, which any lawyer will tear apart. Plus with the small punishment attached, the other two guys named in the case will probably claim it was all them and Vick had nothing to do with it. Looking at the indictment, they don't have anything material to link Vick. Only the claims of a few informants. Now do I think he actually did it? The level of specifics of some of the stories are striking (the ones about him coming to the fights and such). The dog killings, all of them are "after consulting Vick" and then the other two killed the dogs. Thos are iffy hearsay crap. But involved, yeah, he probably was. But he isn't going to get convicted on this. But there is no way they could suspend him for this upcoming season. It would have to be after a conviction.
