In any case, if it's all the word of God, I don't understand how you or anybody else can just pick and choose which passages are acceptable to follow in the here and now and which ones "need modifying due to contextual changes". In the bible, put to death and blood upon them means after physical death and judgement before God, it has nothing to do with killing someone. And no one is picking and chosing and no one is modifying anything. Jesus clearly says that the old laws no longer apply in the in the New Testament and gave the laws to live by in the New Testament. The things written in the old testament, while you can still use them as a guide to live by, are just that. They are the things that were needed for the people of that time. You don't have to sacrafice animals to give a proper offering to God anymore. There are countless other things that are CLEARLY stated as no longer being true in the Bible, but you would actually have to read it to know that. And while there are somethings open to interpretation (I mean seriously, Jesus talked about pretty much every sin and law that they had at the time but never once mentioned homosexuality? Seems a little odd to me.) you aren't going to find the bible telling people to go out and kill the non believers unless that is what you really want to see, remove context and teaching from roughly 15-16 apostles in the same book. That is what extremist do. They take one passage or two, focus on it, remove all context and twist the words to make it play into whatever it is they want to it to do. The Bible covers CENTURIES. That is why part of it is valid to that time and the other part, you don't have to wonder what to keep and what not to keep because Jesus tells you what to hold on to. Interpretation is one thing, but to pretend that the bible is just this book of hate and murder is a tell tell sign of someone who has never read it.

The arcades left only have fighting games and gun games. Although this one has like every fucking fighting game I could remember for a good while. All the virtual fighters and Tekkens, all the Mortal Kombats, about 3 Street Fight 2's (and that movie game) a couple of Street fighter 3's, some fighting games I had never even heard of. It was a pretty big place with about 50 fighting games and gun games in all. I haven't been there in a while though, so it could be closed for all I know.

And on the inside, i dare say that the combination of Prince, Wallace, Mcdyess is just as tough to score on in the interior as the Bird, Mchale, Parish trio. If not morseo(Prince has the type of length that bird didn't have and the athletisim, and Rasheed has the wingspan of a guy 7'3...Mchale was long, but he wasn't that fucking long) Like you said, we won't ever know. I think its fun to wonder though. I do think the "its not like he scored 63 against the '86 Celtics" crowd is downplaying how amazing that game was for Lebron and I say it is on par with the Jordan Celts game. Except Lebron won because the Pistons can't score like the 86 Celtics. Plus I got to reference Scot Wedman, and I have a feeling that I am the only one that actually remembers him. So I am happy.

I think that the Wilkins thing was a great one to bring up. Thats the closest you could get to the body type of Lebron, although Lebron was maybe a little taller and longer. But at the same time Jordan, at his fastest, wasn't THAT much faster than Bron. And he is a better ball handler than both of them. I don't think that he would have scored 60 LIKE Jordan, as Mike was just weaving in between defenders before they could even get down in a defensive stance to think about stopping him, while Lebron is more of a battering ram when he goes to the rim, but i think lebrons style, much like Wilkins, would have had him eating that team up. And his ballhandling skills would have given him quite a few more points than Nique. As for the shotblockers, I think that this is a area where the players today would excel against the older players. The older ones didn't have to deal with the freaks of nature shotblocking wise like these guys have to. When it comes to things like shotblocking, the new, overly athletic players would trump the older ones. When it comes to things like...well...almost everything else, the older would trump the younger. My point is that defense today is MUCH better than defense then(except for maybe the badboys who just scared people into not coming into the lane and playing damn good one on one ball) and the slowed down offenses of today make the big scoring games even more impressive. So I think that 40 points today is 60 in the 80's. And Kobes 81 was something like 110 in the 80's.

In my case, instead of taking the bus towards the bank, I had to take it to the opposite direction to the bus station, wait to transfer to another bus (which was supposed to take about 45 minutes but it was late making it about a hour and a half) take that bus to another stop, transfer there where I waited again for the next bus which terminates it route at the mall where I had to go to the bank, Meaning I had to take another bus to another station further out to get from the mall this other station, take the train, back to the first bus and back home. There are about 30 more routes that you just look at and think "What in the hell?" They are trying to take Marta's contract now, and Marta always complains because they don't get any goverment support for the transist system, but seeing as they have been bickering since I got here (11 years ago) its never going to change. Maybe I should just move to a city where the transit isn't totally screwed.

Religion has the same problem that race issues have. People can meet a million peaceful, loving good Muslims, but one blows something up and ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF HATE. You just shoved BILLIONS of people into one group despite it being painfully obvious that it isn't true. Billions of christians worldwide and people take aim at the Fred Phelps and Jerry Falwells of the religion. If nothing else, look at how all the "face of the religion"s are at each others throats. Billy Graham and Falwell didn't like each other. No one likes Phelps and he hates everyone. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE DIFFERENT THINGS. Taboo to critisize religion? Since when? If anything religion is nothing but a big ass bullseye right now. To say too many people let the bible decide how they vote, live and things like that, fuck off, who are you to tell people how to live their lives? You have a set of moral beliefs that you obtained from somewhere, but because yours didn't come from the Christian bible doesn't make yours greater or lesser. And Eric...MANY Christians thought that pollution was a good thing because it brought us closer to the Rapture? REALLY? You can't spout weird, borderline extremist views and say "many". Once again, we are talking about a group of people that is in the billions. There are going to be diffenent views. And some will be...in a word...insane. But to apply that to the entire religion is pigheaded and wrong. Something you can't deny is that some of the greatest and most infulential people to ever walk this earth have been guided by their religion. And before you start saying that "X" teaches intolorance and violence, stop repeating what you heard and read the fucking thing. Because I live in Atlanta and had to ride the abomination known as Marta. It once took me 6 hours to get from my apartment, to the bank and back. I could drive to Florida in the same amount of time. The bank was maybe 30 miles away. I guess I would ride the train only but definately fuck buses in this city. Then the trains decide its a good idea to only run it once every 20 minutes during the mornings and when people are getting off work. I guess my overall point is that I will not ride public transportation unless the commute is less time than actually driving. And since that NEVER happens here, fuck it. And somethings eyes just need fucking.

I don't think Phoenix should be giving up extra draft picks. At the same time, AK-47 is...well...AK. I don't even know if straight up would work, but I know it wouldn't take Phoenix out of the luxery tax level, and that is their goal, so they would have to trim even more fat. Thats what I love about him. That freak job has shown that he has no problems doing both. And really, there is nothing to say he is done growning yet. People at like that Celtics team didn't get bullied alot. Guards were tough on them. people love that team so much because of that NASTY front line they had with Bird, Parish, Mchale, the remains of Bill Walton, and Scot Wedman. They didn't have anybody laying the hammer down inside, so if a guy like Lebron could muscle his way inside, he would have had his way. Jordon finessed his way to jumpers in that game. Lebron is built the Celtics big men with guard abilities. Once again though, the celtics would have won the game by 40. But I have no doubt that Lebron could go apeshit on most of those teams.

Two of them should. Jason Maxiell could be a allstar(seriously), and Mcdyess is easily the most valuable big they have. Plus Amir Johnson is a fucking freak of nature. Don't let that 6'8 listing fool you, that guy is all of 6'11 or 7 feet. A starting lineup with Maxiell and Johnson should be their future, and that ain't shabby.
