I'd be a wreak if I lost either one of my boys. Don't look forward to it at all. To be honest, I could lose some family members and it wouldn't hurt as badly. Sad but true.

Bad. To many experienced proven coaches out there than to give that much money to a upproven college coach.

Injury prone forward for Injury prone forward. Don't get me wrong, I like O'neil, but Odem is a better passer, ball handler and when he goes to the block can be a match up problem. What exactly does Jermaine bring to the table except alot of time on the bench after the Laker perimeter defense gets blown by and he has to foul while trying to block everyones shots? The Lakers need a physical defensive point that can hit the open 3, and a athletic slasher on the wing and they will be a winning team. So basically...they need Caron Butler and Derek Fisher. ... yeah...I see why he wants to get traded.

You didn't find the story to be quite generic? I mean make the two male characters any type of forbidden love (white and black in an earlier time or a small town, two women...whatever) and you have a pretty "eh" movie. The acting was fine(ledger was pretty damn great....not so much for jake)...although those accents were horrible. I can't say enough for the direction though. that was a fucking thing of beauty and Ang Lee definately deserved his Oscar for that one. I was just waiting to be blown away by a great story and it was just pretty generic. And the ending felt cliched. -
Dungenous crab clusters were 4.99 a lb at Costco so I grabbed a lb and a half for lunch.

It's an enormous wild boar. You can't take any chances. You gotta down that fucker. he chased it for 3 hours...

You know, that Simmons article where he is talking about KG and Kobe to the suns, its insane, but neither of those deals would be a BAD deal for the teams they trade them to. I know it will never happen, but hey. And as for Amare for KG... ... Yeah...I would take that trade. You have KG for 20 mil for 2 years instead of 6 more years of Amare who will eventually make that kind of money. Plus KG is a better shooter and can finish at the basket just as well as Amare, a better defender and rebounder. Amare has that whole being 24 years old thing on his side, but KG is only 30. Plus Amare has the personality that seems to alienate teammates(Everyone can see how great the chemistry was last year as opposed to this year) while KG's teammates not named Wally seem to love him. I think a KG, Marion, Diaw, Bell, Nash starting line up with Thomas, Barbosa and who ever the fuck else would be a upgraded lineup (once again, this is D'Antoni...they aren't giong any deeper that 7-8 anyway.)

Brokeback Mountain is a mediocre to decent movie with BEAUTIFUL direction. The story itself leaves alot to be desired. If it wasn't for the gay factor, people would see how "blah" that movie was. -
Eh, I have been ignoring Robert Horry since I was growing up in Alabama and playing Andalusia in basketball. I have over 15 years of experience when it comes to ignoring Robert Horry and it will continue now.

Eh. I didn't watch a single game of this series. I watched some 4th quarters of some of the Detroit/Cleveland games, but I am really disinterested in the playoffs right now. Still bitter I guess. And that interview with Bruce Bowen the other day just pissed me off any more. Him explaining why he isn't a dirty player while they showed 7-8 times in the Suns series where he clearly took cheap shots (the ones of him "accidentally" kicking Nash in the head 3 times was funny) and the other cheap shots against Vince, Ray, Finley, and other was bad enough. But then after that video aired, where they clearly showed at least a dozen dirty plays from the last 2 years, the announcers STILL say he isn't dirty. I like most of the spurs. I really do. I like Tony Parker. I like Tim Duncan. I like Michael Finley and Brent Barry and Ubrich, and Oberto, and Elson. Despite his faking injury after flopping, I like Manu. But Bruce Bowen's dirty ass can fucking bite me and I can't root for a team that has a player that dirty on it.

My first gamecube had those errors. I returned it and the one I have now works perfectly.

The first time I used it was in a thread about The Fast and the Furious before it came out. And that was 2001. Someone said something about asian racers and rice burners.

And Gordon isn't the Bulls best player. He is their best offensive player. Two different things.

And sadly it started before that. Back when i was "Rest" before the board moved. *sighs*

you know...i demand that my "you....RAYCYST~!" gets added to the wiki. That is my only contribution to this board in over 5 years. That and my entries into the SAGA which kicked various types of asses.

The title of this thread is still hilarious. and never will stop being hilarious. Dames, you haven't been fired lately have you? I always get layed off when you get layed off. I need a heads up.

Wait is this for real? And why haven't I heard of and own some of this yet?

I think its time to admit that Okafor is never going to be heatlhy in Charlotte. he is a handful when he plays, but he is getting injured an awful lot. I am interested in seeing if he and Sean May can stay healthy. Both of which are pretty freaking good when they are.

But trading Josh Smith Josh Childress, Marvin williams or any of those guys is basically the same thing I am saying that the Bulls should do. Its not bias. To win, the bulls need to hang on to Wallace, Hinrich, and a couple of shooters. Yeah, Deng and Gordon can give you points, and thats nice, but they aren't the player that Kobe is. The Hawks need Joe Johnson to win, removing him and and the team is pretty much the lakers. yeah giving up Josh Smith and say marvin Williams and the number 3 pick would be a blow to the team, but they could still put Claxton/AJ, Joe, Kobe, Sheldon, Solomon on the court and have a pretty good team in the East. The Bulls would still win if you replace Gordon and Deng. Yes, it takes a team to win. A team made up as players. And ifyou have a chance to trade two pretty good players for a great player, to add to that team, then do. I am only naming teams that could still win after the trade. Of course the Blazers could give up Roy, Aldridge, Randolph, Outlaw and Jack but where would the team be after that? The teams I have named: Nets, Suns, Warriors, Bulls are the ones that have to pieces to make a trade and still have a very competitive team afterwards.
-
Within the next 5 years neither Gordon or Deng or hinrich will be as good as Kobe will be within the next 5 years.
-
"Just" Shawn Marion? Really? A package with him and barbosa gives you two guys that will score over 20 a game, 12 rebounds a game from shawn, 2 steals a game and damn near 2 blocks. Add in a unprotected pick from Atlanta next year and I honestly would take that package over the Nets package. Except the Nets package would sell more tickets. Barbosa gives you your young superstar in the waiting, Marion gives you your current Allstar. The only other team I could see giving a better package would be the Warriors giving up Monta Ellis, Foyle, and jason Richardson for Kobe.
-
If that is the case, the hell yeah, Billy Knight. get on the phone, unload those two lottery picks and anyone not named Joe Johnson. Of course Billy won't trade for Kobe because he isn't 6'9"....or a sf.

I dont know if you can count on Nachbar (a career journeyman before this year) and Krstic (recovering from major knee surgery) to make up a solid starting 5. Mikki Moore is also the quintessential journeyman having a break out year. What are the chances he repeats that. They play for the Nets. Being journey men doesn't matter when you play with a great point guard that can play to your strengths. Nothing about Mikki Moore this year should suprise anyone. He has always had a fairly consisntant jump shot and has always been a good finisher at the basket. Nachbar has always been a good three point shooter with his feet set and can make a occasional drive to the basket exciting. They will be decent fodder on another team but will be what we saw out of them this year with the Nets. As for Krstic, remove him and plug in Josh Boone then. Once again, soft hands, a bill wennington range jumper and ability to finish around the basket is all you need to succed with jason kidd at the point.

We are not talking about trading for a pretty good player here. We are talking about trading for a hall of fame talent in his Prime. The suns, yeah, i honestly felt they have been the best team in the league for the last two years and circumstances have led to them losing in series. But so what. We are talking about a world leage offensive player, good help defender, added with a incredibly potent offense. I know you can use it as a guage, but Kobe on the All-star team this year was a quick glimpse into what a Kobe/Nash Backcourt could be. Same with the Bulls and the Nets. Yeah, they could be getting better and they could one day reach something or other, but you can win RIGHT now with this guy, AND you can get a ridiculous amount of ticket sales, national coverage, and a deadly clutch performer. If you can't make a decent team and add Kobe work, you don't deserve to be a coach in the NBA honestly. Once again, I don't even like the guy but there should be 29 teams on the phone with the Lakers right now and if there isn't whoever the GM of that team is should be fired by tommorrow.
