Because I don't think it's exciting, that's why. The Suns don't have 5-7 guys that can run, pass and shoot; they have 7 guys that can run and shoot, and one guy that can pass. I take nothing away from Steve Nash, as he is very good at what he does, but they can't score in the halfcourt if Nash isn't on the floor, and I don't like watching teams that can't score in the halfcourt. And if the rest of the NBA is copying the Suns, well... the Suns are just copying the Don Nelson-coached Mavericks; run to the three-point line, and wait for Nash to pass you the ball. Gag me. And that's all anybody on that team, with the exception of Stoudemire, ever does, run out to the three-point line and wait for Nash to pass them the ball; that's not entertaining to me. I personally think that the three-point shot is the bane of basketball. When I see a team take forty three-point shots in a game (coughwarriorscough), it makes me sick. I take great offense at this. I have been watching basketball for twenty-five years, and I consider myself an adequately knowledgeable basketball fan, so I don't appreciate the implication that the fact that I think that the style that the Suns play has anything to do with a lack of basketball acumen on my part. You know, they are near the tops in the league in points in the paint. Most of their buckets are at the rim. The Suns are a pick and roll team that gets out quickly and spreads the floor. you don't shoot that percentage by just running to the three-point line.

... And you are a Kings fan? Is some of this left over from that Sacramento team never winning anything?

I also would like to add that playing sports non stop since the age of 4, i am in pain now. Like, real pain. My knees hurt, my ankle is horrible. I dread getting older because I am not going to be able to move. All that and didn't make one fucking penny from it.

I have no problem with the Spurs. I don't see how you can be a basketball fan and not appreciate Tim Ducncan and his dominance. Bruce Bowen annoys me to no end. Manu, if not for the EXTRA flopping, I would be fine with him. I mean, Raja flops, but at least he lets there be SOME contact. Manu will flop and hold his jaw if you run close enough to him. I would say this series has been officated evenly horrible. Game one was pretty horrible for both, as was game two. Game three was really really bad in the favor of the Spurs and last night was really really bad in favor of the Suns. I think they are trying to make a 7 game series(they being the officals and the NBA). And personally, if I were Utah, I would watch out. The crap could come down hard on them pretty soon. That leaveing the bench rule is so bullshit. They should actually suspend Amare because he was leaving to be Mr. Tough guy, but Diaw left the bench and broke up TWO confrontations. the refs were trying to break them up, but being the little old men that they are they can't stop those huge men from going at each other if they want to. If Amare DOES get suspended, that puts the Suns in a really really tough spot. Plus, like it has been said, it will point out how ridiculous something is when Diaw will probably get suspended for breaking up a fight, but Bowen doesn't get suspended or fined for a knee to the balls and a kick to the achilles.

Robert Horry gave one heck of a forearm shiver. Steve Nash should show up on ECW and sell a Pounce from Marcus CorVon, he seems to know his skills. Damn that looked nasty. No way it knocked him that much though. I mean geez.
-
God...fucking...dammit. Stoudimire did just come on the court. And honestly I think so did Diaw.
-
Nash should be a wrestler after that bump. He got hit, and it was a flagrant two, but come on.
-
Nash has balls the size of basketballs to even try that pass with what was on the line.
-
No Finley, Fisher and Cassell are on my short list of players who I expect to hit every shot they take in the 4th quarter I have to admit. I never expect Duncan to miss. Fade away from out of bounds, I expect it to bank in.
-
This is going to be a hell of a finish.
-
I can't be the only one that expected Finley to hit that.
-
FLOP OFF~! Maybe the refs felt bad about game 3 because they are calling alot of chippy bullshit on the spurs right now.
-
Looks like Bell and GInobli are finally having their flop off tonight.

I've heard that if they don't get a really good lottery pick, they'll be willing to trade that, but although Randolph and Miles keep getting into trouble here (I just read in the Oregonian about them being at some nightclub shooting the other night) Randolph is essential to the team having any sort of success in the near future. I wonder if getting someone like Odom or Gasol would help. They definitely need a strong forward and/or a quick center. They're set on the perimeter with guys like Jarrett Jack and Roy. Randolph had an All-Star calibre year this past season, though. I don't know who Portland could get to replace that. Lamarcus Aldrige played wonderfully everytime he got minutes last year. Its not like they are going to win a title with Randolph. Honestly, Porland could use a back up two guard maybe, but they are extremely deep. Just extremely young.

I am going to have to disagree there. He does face up, but he is one of the few remaining low block scorers. Another guy to look at is Jermaine O'neil. Especially if they lose their first rounder to Atlanta.
-
Its a pretty deep draft, but there just aren't many guys left that go to the block and score with a array of moves. If they want a post scorer they need to find him in the league. That Pau Gasol trade probably looks pretty good now. People keep talking about deng, Paxson didn't want to move Deng OR Gordon. Gordon, that Knick pick and Pj Browns expiring contract probably could have gotten it done. Right now, I would see what would Portland take for Zach Randolf.
-
Hinrich is one of the better perimeter defenders in the league. He is getting burnt by one of the better offensive players. That is what happens. Trading Ben Gordon SHOULD make them use Thabo Shefalosha at the starting 2, and that would make them a better team if they had a decent scoring threat. ANYwhere. But with no low post presense, that really really hurts. Maybe with the Knick pick and Gordon they could move to get a decent low post threat. I don't see that happening, but hey.

I wish he would take a shot at Raja. Did anyone catch the conversation they had in the last game. I am not a great lip reader but raja was telling bowen something along the lines of "Tell (someone) to watch that elbow shit. Because if I break their fucking jaw, they will be wondering why". I know i definately got the "break their fucking jaw" and "wondering why" part right. And he did the elbow motion to show what they were doing.

My problem with it is that they suspended Kobe twice this year for a unnatural basketball move, but this...this is okay. Anyone that has ever played basketball please tell me how natural it is for you to knee a guy in the balls while trying to create space.

Oh come on. Whats the point of having threesomes when you aren't attracted to one of the people there? Seriously. Okay it doesn't sound like that much of a problem, but the main thing I am complaining about is no more big booties. In fact, why are you all ignoring all my joy...assholes.
-
Exactly. Not something I am exactly interested in.

I don't really understand this. My girlfriend soon to be fiance likes women from time to time, but I don't find any of the women that she finds attractive remotely attractive (although some can be cute). Thus, her liking women will in no way allow me to be able to have sex with the type of women I would usually like physically. Therefore...me and the big booties are a thing of the past. But like I said...who the fuck cares.

I remember that sometimes it was ridiculously easy to beat those guys and some times not. Basically its doing that flip thing and guessing which way they were going to turn as you came out of it. guess right and you would fuck them up, guess wrong and they would be right back on your ass. That game ruled. Did either one of the Gamecube Starfox's come close to its kickassness, because if so, i might have to go and pick it up.

I don't know if I mentioned Big Nothing in here or the Hot Fuzz thread, but Big Nothing is pretty fucking good.

I am knocking at 28. I have had to accept that I will never play professional sports ( not like I would have anyway, but up until 25 you still can say "well...Maybe") I have been playing basketball alot lately and well...I suck now. I am not sure when it happened, but I can't jump as high, and I am not nearly as fast. In the back of my mind I was thinking about making another push for a minor league team when I started playing again. But nope....I suck now. I am fully aware that I am not going to be at this job for a long time, so career wise, i am pretty much no where. I have been with my girlfriend for awhile now and the likelihood that this the woman I am going to marry is very high. And since she only likes women that are quite bootyless I am never going to sleep with the comically curvey women of my past and of my desires again. And I guess I am officially never going to get to sleep with Mya or Nelly Furtado, when I swore I would sleep with one of the two at some point in life. But who cares I have who I want. Fuck everyone else. At some point very soon, I realize I should want to have kids. But I don't see it yet. At all. But I don't want to be old dude with Kids either. Ugh. The highlights are that I have finally gotten out of those horrible mid twentys years. Those years where girls in their mid twenties don't want to fuck with you because they older guys are SOOO much more mature, older women don't want to fuck with you because you are too young, leaving you with 17-18 year olds, and thats just kinda icky. So overall I am happy extremely happy in fact, but its amazing how much a couple of years can change.
