    The Condemned

But honestly, with proper promotion, it looks like a mindless action flick that people don't mind seeing. No reason it should be a ultra bomb like this.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Yeah, he is a good player, but jesus "Has there ever been a better passer in the league history?" "Suns made great defensive rotations...LOOK AT NASH ON THIS PLAY..He ran with his hands up. Amazing." I appreciate that he is making good plays but throwing a simple bounce pass to Amare who spins to the basket and dunks because Bynum went the wrong way is not a incredible, lets drool over this guy great play. Its a basketball play. Nash and Bryant were neck and neck with the announcer blowage in the first half but now this has just gotten ridiculous for Nash. I mean they were praising him for the suns play while he was on the bench.

On that suns inbounds play Lamar Odem just decided he was going to take this game over, and is doing it. I like Lamar.

Has the movie been advertised outside of wrestling shows, because I gotta say, the only trailer or commercials I have seen have been online.

Do you think the announcer for the suns/laker game can keep up this annoying Nash and Kobe dick sucking for an entire game? Because seriously, they need to make this game TV-MA if they are. This is just plain fucking annoying. It was a layup you fucking asshole, he didn't just make the greatest play ever.

I think Philadelphia was his best performance. Could have been so easy to over play any aspect of that character but he did it all perfectly.

With the Ebay around there is absolutely no reason to ever pay more than 40 bucks for a game. EVER.

I lose more and more respect for the Suns every day. First that stupid fucking book, and now this. Yap yap yap yap yap. Shut up and go play. First, the Suns didn't write the book. And second, Amare Stoudimire is a asshole. I don't know why that would shock anyone.

I liked the Terminal. If he ended up with Zeta Jones, I would have hated it, but since he didn't (I guess that is a spoiler, but really...who the fuck cares) I loved the move. "It for goat."

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Its not mind games, its not Avery not being able to coach. Its that the Warriors just matchup very well against the Mavs making this matchup much more evenly matched than it appears on paper. Plus, the Mavs just have a fragile psyche anyway. Thats why Baron and Stephen Jackson getting kicked out of game two didn't really mean much because at the end of the day, THATS how they play. Overly emotional, horribly mixmatched basketball. And you can't beat a team that is pretty evenly matched with you at their own game. Nellie made some smart adjustments last night and Jason Richardson went the fuck off like I had been waiting for him to do. Now its time for Avery to adjust but once again, pointing out how I said this series would go, I expect the warriors to win the next one then the Mavs to take the next two. I would be happy to be wrong, and have the Mavs gone in 6, but I just don't see that happening.

    Old vs. New

I am saying it was a better NBA player. THe problem was the guards mostly dribbled with one hand, so there you had a issue thus me saying the guards would have problems, but the players were MUCH better conditioned. People look at the suns run all day and other teams get tired and think it is amazing, but that tempo was the NORM back then. And they weren't flying to arenas. THey were coming in after long bus trips and playing in arenas that were hot and muggy unlike the nice air conditioned arenas now. And they would go out there and put up 130, 140 points a night running the entire time. Then you have every team can give you stories about how so and so could touch the top of the back board or had 40 and 50 inch vertical leaps, but since they weren't allowed to dunk, so we only got to see alot of high jumping layups. Then think there were no expensive gyms with gurus there to make guys jump higeher or run faster. These guys were natural athletes. That 70 wins Bulls team couldn't beat one of those Laker teams that couldn't get by the Celtics. Wilt would average 70 points on them, they wouldn't see a rebound, Jerry West and Eglin Baylor would also be murdering the Bulls. Michael Jordon is one of the greatest players of all time, but I won't say the best Bar none. I say he is probably the second greatest offensive threat ever behind Wilt, but I still say Magic Johnson is the greatest all around player to ever play the game. Jordon, Magic and most of the Hall of famers from the 80's and 90's would be great in the 60's and 70's, but none of the 80s or 90s teams could see those teams from the earlier years because they played faster, stronger, and were better shooters and were in better condition and played a more fundamentally sound game. And you can't blame Highschoolers coming into the league being the reason for a worse NBA. You can blame the NCAA. First, you have all these rules about how you can practice in college which wasn't the case back then. Coaches could spend hours on end year round helping players. Now because of NCAA rules, they can't do that anymore. People can hate to admit it all they want, but players coming out of Highschool are eventually turning into the best players because they get the best training without the stupid rules that limit their progress in the NBA. Plus the NBA has pussified the rules so much that it is almost stupid to take a midrange jumper because they are going to give the defender a foul if you drive to the hoop, so players don't really work on it that much anymore. Its more weight lifting to bang in the middle and more ball handling/finishing at the basket because there is no point to the midrange game.

Marcus Camby wins defensive player of the year, once again telling Shawn Marion "Who the fuck cares if you routinely guard a 4-5 positions on the court very well, one of the better rebounders in the league dispite being a 6'7" small forward and you are in the top 20 in blocks, top 5 in steals. You play for the Suns and they DON"T PLAY NO D."

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Anyone pretending that the officiating favored anyone is hilarious. It was bad officiating on both sides. Marion, Stoudimire, Barbosa both should have been to the line more, and Kobe, Odem and Bynum (when he did play) should have been to the line. I think the reason people are saying the officiating favored the Lakers is because in the last two minutes, most of the bad calls went against the suns (two Barbosa drives where he was clearly fouled, one Amare drive and that blocking call on Steve Nash which was clearly offensive). Those for plays in such a small amount of time in such a crucial moment in the game is what made the officating look more in favor of the Lakers, but that game was just badly officiated all around. They called it tight one minute, called nothing the next...Just no consistancy. Now that Mavs vs Warriors game...that was officiating favoring one team.

    Old vs. New

Wilt Chamberlain would average 50 points a game in the NBA today. Those guys were better athletes. People say Wilt dominated because he was so much bigger than anyone else, but the truth is, he had some of the more unstoppable moves ever. His hook shot where he would just extend his arm and shoot it with only his wrist, UNBLOCKABLE by ANYONE. And he had the conditioning to do that night in and night out for a whole season while players to day get fatigued. Plus the game was at like twice the pace back then than it is today. The guys in the 60's and 70's were WAY better conditioned and could run a good number of the teams today and in the 90's off the court with their high paced offense and dead eye shooting. Plus they didn't even have the 3 point line. There were guys in the 60's and 70's where that shot was LITERALLY a layup to them. As in they simply didn't miss it. They had to defend 30 feet from the basket because most guys would just pull up with some funky looking shot and it would drop. I do believe that Dennis Rodman was the greatest rebounder ever and would average like 30 rebounds a game with a pace that up tempo and was in such great condition would hang with the oldschoolers. But I there aren't any NBA pointguards today that could deal with the raw strength and athletism of oscar Robertson. No big could stop Kareem or Wilt. Willis Reed could OWN th block. Bill Russell would still be a great rebounder (though I feel in todays basketball pace he would have averaged more like 15 to 16 boards and not those 24 boards per game that he used to do back in the day). It would come down to bigs versus guards as the guards in the 80's and present are definately better, but there will never be big men as dominant as the ones in the early days of the NBA.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

I don't see that much complaining about officiating in this thread. And like I said, Suns in 5, although it is great that the Lakers actually won a game and didn't get flat out embarassed in the series. Sure, Barbosa and Stoudimire did get kaboshed when they went to the hole, and Marion got murdered, but Lamar Odem was being smacked around everytime he went in and no calls there either. Barbosa and Nash had their off games, and so did Marion. And I am not sure why D'antoni won't play Rose or Banks. Banks is a monster defensively and I suggest playing him on Kobe when Bell is not available. And Rose would be a step up over James Jones, who is a better rebounder but is so bad at all the other aspects of the game, he can't outweigh what Rose would bring to the table.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Yeah, but Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington and Matt Barnes all have freakishly wide wingspand enabling them to play alot bigger than they are. Its not like he is going against Bruce Bowen out there who is only effective preventing a player from getting the ball, but not so much when he actually gets it. Golden State plays "small" like alot of teams. Their small guys are not really that small. like the Hawks play a small lineup where the smallest guy is 6'8" You can try and shoot over Barnes and Jackson like they are smalls but really, they aren't making them tough shots. Plus they are quick enough to stop Dirk from slashing leaving his post up game, which just isn't that strong, expecially against the longer players the Warriors are using. Plus Dirk sets shitty screens so the Warriors guards have just been stepping through it and not switching.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Because he isn't a more than capable scorer with his back to the basket. his strength is his slashing which makes bigs have to give him room, and that deadly jumpshot makes you pay for giving him that room. Simply put, Dirks back to the basket game is nothing to double. What I don't understand is why the Warriors don't post up Jason Richardson on Devin Harris. There is NO way he can guard him. or post up terry more with Baron making some definitive moves instead of that step back fade away last night. In the Spurs Nuggest series, I think the Spurs should get worried and get worried quickly. At some point in the 4th quarter, a light bulb went off in the Nuggets and they realized that Steve Blake runs one of the most beautiful pick and rolls in the NBA and he and Nene were picking the Spurs apart. That then allowed Melo and AI to get some moreopen shots. If they utilize that game plan in the next game, it could be a pretty bad loss for the spurs. In the Rockets Utah series, Tracy Mcgrady is being Tracy Mcgrady only this time with people coming to play with him. One thing I do notice though is that he takes the screen and rolls with Yao WAY too wide, allowed the defense to knock him off the play. If they ran that tighter, it would be unstoppable. I will watch the Suns Lakers because you can almost bet on Kobe going for 60 tonight because he really feels he can't count on his teammates even though the real problem right now is their defense. I personally could care less about the Orlando/Detoirt series, although don't be suprised if the magic pull this one out tonight.

    The Corner

This was based on a true story, as in the characters were real people and such. It was pretty freakin good though. My only complaint is that it seemed like they didn't have that much material to work with and had to stretch random stuff into episodes (thinking of the one with the crackheads getting scrap metal or the one where they were defending their corner from rival gangs). Pretty cool though.

Yeah, i took it as peter went invisible and stopped moving once the glass came up. Thinking Sylar wouldn't know where he was. As soon as he made a move Sylar hit him with the glass. Remember, he got hit in the BACK of the head.

    NFL 2007 Draft Thread

It would be a ridiculously stupid idea to move anywhere for the falcons. They have all these picks, and they need help at the defensive line, offensive line, and secondary. Tossing those away so that you can get Johnson would be insane honestly.
