Do I think that Adelman could have won rings with the GOAT or Shaq/Kobe? Hell yeah; he almost won two with Clyde F. Drexler, and would have won one in '02, if they didn't get jobbed in Game 6. Adelman's problem has always been that he can't coach youth; give him an experienced team with that kind of talent, and an all-world closer like Kobe or the GOAT, and you bet your ass he could. Adleman couldn't win with one of the great teams of all time. Yeah, I am saying that. From top to bottom, those Blazer teams were incredible. Adleman's problems has been and always will be that he has no idea how to close out games. He coughed up that Finals versus the Pistons, which I will say is forgiveable because he was a new coach. then he coughed up that series against the Bulls where they were clearly the better team and were beating the Bulls to the point Phil sat down MJ in game 6 because it looked over and let the bench kick their asses, then he coughed up against that Lakers team, who indeed screwed the Kings in game 6, but he was just awful at coaching in game 7. And yeah. He would probably have a ring..hell maybe two if he coached those teams. But he wouldn't have 9. And lets not pretend that Clyde wasn't an all world closer.

I wonder if he will be able to turn making Antoine Walker his bitch into a max contract like Kenyon Martin did.

I gave up on RPG's a long LONG time ago. The closest thing to RPG that I enjoy are those Xmen legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance games. I don't really think they count. Also, fuck turn based combat too. Fuck it straight to hell. I will never ever enjoy it.

Oh I know. Like I said, they are a perfect combination. I just don't think either would be as effective alone. I personally don't see how Phil would have a ring without Tex, not saying that Tex would have one without Phil, because he wouldn't, but that is pretty much the point. Yeah, all the pieces needed to fall in place for a team to win like that. And I think Tex is one of the big three. When I see Phils successes I see them as Phex Jackter....or Teil Wintson. And its not always the case, because I refuse to believe that the Pistons wouldn't have won a championship without Mike Woodson over on the sidelines. Some coachs like to control everything and I think Phils ability to let a huge aspect of coaching not be completely in his hands is what seperates him from other coaches. And I think more of them should try it seeing as the guy that set the example has 6 rings.

The guy made a pretty much unstoppable offense. He is quite literally a offensive genius when it comes to basketball. Watch a Lakers game. he is the one drawing up the plays and hands them to Phil. Are you saying that if say...Rick Adleman was the coach of those Lakers team or Bulls teams they would have made those runs? Coaches are very important. You can have all the talent in the world, but without the right system, they aren't going to win anything. The players that were in place in Chicago and with the Lakers when they won it all are there because of their ability to play in A: tex's offense and B: Phils Defense. I honestly feel that Phil with out the Triangle is Jerry Sloan without the pick and roll.

I'm giving you a technical foul for even asking! Oh, as for Skiles being gone, Simmons mentioned that the Celtics might go after him after this year. I don't know if that's true or if it's just typical delusional Boston sports fan rambling, but I think Skiles needs to win one stinkin' playoff series or he's in danger of being shown the door. I am not so sure Skiles and Ainge particularly like each other.

You have the 5 heat players and the three refs. I never wanted to jump on the "The refs love Wade" crowd, but seriously, at least 3-4 laughable calls come in clutch time when the guy is on the floor. As for Wallace to the bulls, I said this before and I will say it again. I don't think he is making any difference. He isn't giving them anything Tyson Chandler wasn't giving them. Plus, Chandler plays Oneil better than Wallace. Wallace is a incredible help defender and when he can roam, he is one of the more dangerous players on the court defensively. In detroit, they have a all defensive player at point (Chicago has a damn fine defender at point in Hinrich) the ridiculously underrated defender in Hamilton (Gordon....not so much) a guy that should be a all defensive player in Prince (Deng....not so much) and incredible defender in Rasheed Wallace (Tyrus Thomas....not so much, although he will get a athletic block or two). Removing players that don't need help defensively limites Bens effectiveness. I think he could be a difference maker against the Nets, who are more prone to offensive lapses and don't have a dominant big to make ben pay (Miki Moore is not going to knock Wallace around like Shaq/mourning). Plus they are a perimeter shooting team and Wallace can swallow the boards against a team like that. Agaist a team like the heat that always go to the rim....not so much. Don't get me wrong, I think the Bulls could possibly take the Heat, just like I think they could have taken them last year. But I think Nocioni and his Antoine Walker owning not being there is going to hurt. I think Skiles not giving Shefelosha(sp) enough time this year to get used to playing NBA speed is going to hurt. I think Tyrus Thomas's tendancy to get lost defensively is giong to hurt against the back cutting Heat. Basically, I just don't like the Heat/Bulls matchup.

5 is probably my favorite. But i haven't watched them in years now either. I just got done going through the entire Angel series (good god did season one suck. I mean there were some great eps sprinkled in, but for the most part....GEEbus. I mean the sex slave girls with the glowy thing on their necks....what the fuck?)

I don't think that its a reasonable assumption to think because he is wierd he is going to shoot up the joint. Seriously, hindsight is bullshit in situations like this. He did the unthinkable. Anything short of him saying "I am going to get two guns and shoot up a Virgina Tech class." isn't going to set off any bells. now the next few weeks and months it will set off bells on all weird kids, who aren't planning on shooting up the joint and then it will pass.

If skiles keeps getting bounced in the first round, they aren't giong to keep him. they are going to go the "Need a coach to take us to the next level" route.

I was talking with a friend yesterday, mostly about the suckage that is Mike Woodson, and I was thinking, if they hired a offensive guru to go along side him...someone he listened to, he wouldn't be completely worthless. I think that Phil Jackson will be remembered as one of the greatest coaches in NBA history, but lets be honest here. He is only 50% of the equation. Phil Jackson is a defensive guru that knows how to talk to and motivate players like few other coachs. But without Tex Winter next to him, I don't think that he would have one ring. At the same time, if you have ever heard a interview with Tex, you know that he is way to much of a...well...lets just call it what it is....an asshole to be a head coach. Players wouldn't be as receptive because he has way to abrasive of a personality. Put them together and you have quite possibly the perfect coach. Jacksons defensive knowledge and ability to command respect from his players along with Winter's basketball genius. It is pretty obsene that Winter probably won't get in the Hall of Fame by the way. I just wonder why other coaches haven't used this way of working. I mean, we all know Phil has a ego, but he recognized his shortcomings, addressed them, and went on to be one of the more sucessful coaches in NBA history. Do you think that other coaches egos won't allow them to do so. If phil Jackson has obviously set an example as to what you need to do, why haven't more followed suit? Do you think that its because Tex Winter is underrated when it comes to his contributions to the Bulls/Laker teams?

Kennesaws crime rate has absolute shit to do with decreasing crime rate. you know where else almost everyone has a gun? In the fucking ghetto where crime rate is through the roof. Crime most likely will be around poor people because poor people are more likely to get desparate and rob, and kill. Plus drug use is higher there because of the poor people selling drugs because they want money, creating a bunch of cracked out psychos. Kennesaw's median income is like 70,000 dollars. And they are way out in west bubble fuck and nobody is driving way out to Kennesaw to rob someon. AND the fucking cops there are ASSHOLES. Like, write you a ticket for not coming to a complete stop and then requesting to check your trunk assholes. AND on top of that, everyone knows that most people in Kennesaw don't have guns. They just did that to be smart asses about some town outlawing guns. Its just some for show law. I guess my point is, blowing Kennesaw is kinda bullshit. They tore down all the cheaper housing, built up expensive homes and turned it into a upscale out of the way area of Atlanta. AMAZINGLY crime went down. OH MY GOODNESS. Plus they were working with ridiculously low numbers in the first place. No body lived in Kennesaw in 1982. So if crime went from say 10 murders to 5 it was a 50% drop. IT MUST BE THE GUNS. There never was crime in kennesaw. Once again. Its a statement law . Not even close to everyone in Kennessaw have guns. And everyone knows it. Rich people don't get robbed that much because it is harder to rob a house with an alarm system. Thats EVERYWHERE. And once again, I am going to bring up the point, exactly how many guns do you think there are in your regular crime ridden inner city area? Is that helping? I think that Avery didn't want to give the Warriors too much confindence going into the playoffs. Lets not forget, they have kinda kicked the crap out of Dallas all year. Him not playing starters was like saying "We aren't afraid of you, so get the spot. we could care less." Oh they fucking care. Warriors get in and its not such a cake walk for Dallas. Long series with the Warriors then have to run up on the Rockets(or Utah, but seriously....Rockets...) Man. The west playoffs are going to be brutal.
