Why is this amusing again?

Waynes word play makes sense. Cam tries to do what Wayne is doing well. Waynes most drug induced bullshit doesn't come close to "Eight, boom, boom, my ace boon coon Shake, bake, skate, vroom, vroom" Camron is a male version of Missy Elliot but because he has charisma no one noticed.
-
I was talking about the style of rap, not that common is putting out good stuff. And Mos, unlike, say Andre 3k, still raps. And pretty good stuff too. Not as good as it used to be and he is mostly a singer now, but the stuff is qualtity when he does decide to rap. But once again, I meant more of the niche rap wise moreso than the putting out better material. Although I do have to disagree with one thing....Tru Magic was fucking awesome.
-
Camron makes up words so that they will rhyme with others. He rhymes the same word with the same word. His flow is garbage. His wordplay is horrible. Camron sucks. he has sucked for almost a decade now. He is really really horrible.
-
And thats why I didn't go into this album thinking it was going to be good. Too many lean enduced bullshit verses from Wayne lately. Plus, the Leak was fucking awesome (I still think "I'm Me" and "Dying" should have made the cut...although he couldn't get the rights to the sample in dying) so I figured that all the best stuff was there and the album might be ass. But it wasn't. I hate lollipop, but thats the club, radio song and I usually hate all of those. So I just ignore it. I think guys like wayne are given a unfair double standard. Guys like Common, Mos def and Lupe are all putting out albums that are basically mixtape stuff that won't really get you many spins on Radio, but for some reason, its okay. Wayne does it and its because he isn't that great of a artist? I would love for Rappers to accept their shit isn't going to sale anyway and that and start putting out just strong albums and fuck the radio songs. But I know thats not going to happen. Waynes album is pretty damn close to doing it though.

I would like to take this time to stress what a incredible basketball mind Mike Woodson has. Simply incredible. He has taken a team of guys that simply didn't know how to play and managed to get them to push the Boston Celtics to the brink. His bad record and constant critisim he has recieved over the years at the hand of Atlanta Hawks observers has been unfair. He had the youngest team in the NBA and not much of a bench to work with. But if you watch the offensive and defensive schemes that he gave his team, it was obviously the fault of his young team not executing and not this genius of a man. With that said, I certainly hope that no one else in the NBA notices what a incredible job he has done with this young team. If he were to go to a team of vets, you could almost guarentee a championship. He comes from a championship background with is time in Detroit. Ripper - Since the Pistons have asked permission to talk to Mike Woodson about their opening, I hope this post comes up in a search or something....

I think the only reason people try to cling to Wayne not being that good is the fact that he is a overconfident prick that likes to mention that he is better than everyone else. I don't think he is doing it nearly as well as Royce. In his niche though(where its not ALL about what the lyrics are saying like say a Lupe, Andre 3k, Common type of stuff) where its all about the wordplay and the things you are doing with the words+flow= hot, Wayne is really one of the best right now. Amoung Punchline/wordplay rappers, he has a right to talk about how good he is, because damn I think we are different though. I am fine with mixtape rap because its usually better than the mainstream stuff. they are all about making the words flow while the mainstream stuff is more about making you dance. I appreciate that.

But Brand CAN just walk, so they might do it. I just don't see it happening. Maggette and Brand ain't coming back though. I think you can set that in stone. they need front court and backcourt help. But if they believe in Kaman more than I do, they could do that trade. But I wonder if Paxon would turn it down because he doesn't want to part with Hinrich...or some other stupid reason not to trade a for a better player.
-
Yeah, Brand is probably going to opt out of his contract. The Bulls should try to trade ANYONE on their roster in a sign and trade for him. And I mean ANYONE. Not that there is anything they have the Clips would want...
-
Not that it matters, but Doc let Pierce and Posey cover LBJ. I agree- he probably would not have used T.A. which is a shame. Lebron would have dunked Tony Allen with the ball. he was just too strong and too big for Allen. Allen can guard 2's. He should have been on Joe Johnson more in the first round, but he was probably used correctly in the second round.
-
I will say that he does too many freestyless and some of them end up pure trash, but when you make 1000 songs a week, you have to expect some to suck. And its time for people to just admit Camron is fucking trash. I pray to GOD that Eminem does one more album where he says fuck those dumb suburb fans and do a hip hop album again. The Infinate- Damn good album. Slim Shady LP - about 50/50. Marshall Mathers LP...that shit was horrible outside of Stan and a couple of other tracks. All dick and fart jokes. The Eminem Show - one of the great Hip hop albums ever. Just amazing. Encore - Back to piss and fart jokes. He coulda been a contender. But he sold too many albums talking about britney and making fart jokes to go away from that formula. At least I have the Eminem Show to comfort me. But seriously, Royce, Joe Buddens, Wayne....those dudes are really putting out some ridiculously good stuff.
-
I think Porter might be one of the if not the best coach out there. Porter, Westphal, Saunders(yes, flip is still a damn good coach), Johnson. In that particular order. ALL of these guys would be great hires for the Hawks (well...maybe not avery) but who will my team have? MIKE FUCKING WOODSON.

It positively amazes me that people think a guy that doesn't take shots outside of 4 feet from the basket and shoots 48 percent is a good offensive player. He is a ineffective number guy. He gets you 15 a night but it is at a low percentage considering his position and what shots he takes. He is unquestionably horrible defensively. I don't hate 7 footers. I just don't overrate them because they are tall. I personally would rather have a effective 6'9 guy than a ineffective 7 footer. If this was fantasy basketball you go with Kaman all day. But if you are looking for actual positive results on the court, Maxiell is the better player.
-
Once again, Maxiell is a much better defender than Kaman. Second, Kaman shoots a pretty bad precentage from the field when you take into consideration where all his shots come from. He, like you said is a low post scoring center that shoots 48 percent from the field. That is what people expect from good guard. Good Centers don't shoot below 50% from the field unless they are taking alot of jumpers. His rebounding numbers this year are clearly a abberration, ADHD or not. He has averaged under 8 rebounds 3 times in his five year career. He had one year where he was near 10 per game, then all of a sudden this year, he gets 13 a game. But like I said, when you miss 30 games, your stats are giong to be a little inflated. He was having a good all year, but seriously, Kaman is kinda just worthless. He can't defend opposing Centers or PF's at all, he isn't a good rebounder consistantly, he shoots a low percentage for a center or a PF. He basically does what Amare and Andrew Bogut do on defense. Ignore the pick and roll, play horrid defense on their on man, but will get you a few weakside blocks per game and people seem to think he can play defense because of it. Yeah, Jason Maxiell is undersized....and still defends bigs better than Kaman. He is just as talented a shotblocker only takes fewer chances than Kaman, he also looks better on the block. The only faucet of the game Kaman looks better at is being tall.
-
I personally think Royce Da 5'9 is simply the best rapper out there. But of the guys signed with a major label deal, i have to go with Wayne as the "best" out there (in his style of non conscience rap)
-
I have to second the Carter III. I was wondering if it would be any good after the Leak last year(which had some fucking gems on it) and him having to start over. Plus the Carter I and Carter II had some great songs but werent great albums...this one is his best and just a great fucking album.
-
He is also undersized and can't stop bigger guys and isn't great when they face him up. He can defend smaller guys that play with their back to the basket and I think he is a pretty good help defender. But gasol and Odom would abuse him in this series. Brown could do a great job on Gasol though. And that lack of Tony Allen might not be a big deal, because like I said, I am not so sure if Doc would have played him.
-
I agree. And Great teams aren't very common. That 01 Laker team was great by the time the playoffs rolled around. The 95-98 Bulls were great teams. Those don't exactly roll around very often
-
He only played 52 games. He didn't have the opportunity to fall back to mediocrity that he usually does. And it was a obvious abberation in his career. You can expect him to be back to earth next year. Plus, all three of those guys are better defensive players than him despite his gaudy block numbers this year. If the Clippers could get maxiell for Kaman I think they would leap at the chance.
-
If you would trade Jason Maxiell for Chris Kamen, I have to wonder if you are Chris Kamen's agent. He simply isn't better than any one in their real front court rotation (i am not counting Ratliff that somehow got minutes in the playoffs). I hope they fire Flip quickly so we can get him in Atlanta(yes, I know that Mike Woodson is going to come back. I am just hoping that Rick Sund is kinda racist or something and just want to stick it to the black man. If not I am going to start photoshopping pictures of Woodson fucking Sund's wife.) They just need a clear cut offensive philosphy basically. Screw this "everyone gets theres" crap. Fuck balance. There should be at least two guys averaging over 20 points a game on this team (rasheed should be around 25). You feed his fucking ass the ball on the block 17-20 times a night until he shoots the fucking ball. Then you have the shooters around him to make him better. Continue to run Rip around like a moron, only he needs to go back to cutting his route off below the 3 point line and becoming Mr. Midrange again. The team has the same problem it had when Larry Brown was here. Spreading out the offense is cute and fun, but bottomline you need some guys that are straight up killers on offense that get a bulk of the shots. The Pistons have what many other teams in the league want. A guy that can consistantly score on the block, yet they make their primary scorers the jumpshooters and Rasheed a shooter(I know, you want to blame Sheed, but he is at the three point line by design.) There simply shouldn't be one SINGLE possession where the pistons come down and either Billups or Rasheed aren't on the block. I personally think its lack of balls from all 3 of the coaches that have been there for this team in not phasing some guys out of the offense and making some more focused The reason they were better when Ben Wallace was there was more because some guys had to be more assertive offensively because Ben Wallace sucked SO much.
-
I have never been a fan of the "if this team doesn't win championships they SUCK" line of thinking. the Pistons are a very VERY good team. They happened to have lost to some SOMETIMES better teams over the years and that one year to the Lebrons(who honestly, playoff time, is probably the most dangerous player in the NBA with regards to Kobe who...well...comes in second in my eyes.) its that kinda thinking that had a dumb GM break up the Hawks and lead to a decade of mediocrity and outright horrible basketball.
-
I am picking the Celtics in 5 or 6 as long as Doc Rivers doesn't become retarded. Rondo - Fisher = pretty even matchup. Rondo will have to hit jumpshots this series though, because the Lakers are going to design their offense around him. Rondo is long and scary good on defense. you might see a really really bad offensive showing for him offensively. Allen - Bryant = Kobe will clearly have the lead overall, but if Ray Allen keeps his stroke going like he did near the end of that Pistons series, it could get ugly. Ray has always played well against Kobe, mostly because Kobe either has to chase Ray around all night or its a cross match. Pierce - Uh...anyone = No one on the lakers can come close to thinking about slowing Paul Pierce kinda down? Who are they going to put here? Radmonovic? Walton? Kobe? NO ONE can come close to it. AND if Radmanivic is on the court, you have the "ray allen can hide here" guy. If its Walton....Ray allen can hide there on defense as well. KG - Odem - Look, I like Lamar, but heres the deal. KG can defend him from the block, AND can defend him when he faces up. The mismatch that he has caused in the first 3 rounds...gone now. On defense, while he has played well, he can't defend KG simply because of that sick high release that KG has on that turnaround. Good thing though is that he just has to defend a jumpshooter. Perkins - Gasol - I am going to catch flack for this, but Gasol doesn't like strong physical defenders that can block shots. Perkins is a strong physical defender that can block shots. Pau also isn't that dominate of a rebounder and Perkins can keep people off the boards. Offensively, Perkins isn't as bad as people think and can finish around the Rim. Pau...he kinda can get lost down there alot. Bench: The lakers have Turiaf who will bring energy and defense. he will also bring fouls and will help get a team that hasn't been getting to the line that much to the line. They also have Sasha Vuchic who has been very good offensivly and defensively in the series, but Sasha is probably going to have to see some Sam Cassell, and nobody bites on pump fakes like Sasha. And no one pumpfakes and jumps into a guy like Sasha. He is also going to draw Ray allen which will get Kobe some rest and that could be good. Luke Walton and Jordan Farmar will round out the bench for the lakers. But the problem is that Walton won't be able to defend anyone and the guys that will match up with him defensively will give him pure hell. Same for Farmar. Basically, you don't want him in the game when Rondo is in there because that could get ugly for the Lakers on the offensive end. The Celtics SHOULD use Cassell, Powe, Posey and Brown with some sprinkles of Tony Allen. PJ will actually be useful in this series against Pau. Once again, Pau just doesn't play well agaist those type of guys. Cassell...this is his kinda series. Hopefully he won't go nuts like he did sometimes against the Cavs, but he is a clear mismatch against the Lakers backcourt guys. Posey...heheh. Yeh that guy is a asshole, and he is going to annoy the fuck out of Kobe. He is also probably going to be the best bench guy in the series. Leon Powe SHOULD play this series as he presents a good matchup with Odom, plus he is a hustle guy but if he doesn't play at all, i wouldn't be suprised. Tony Allen should get some defensive burn, although I am pretty confident it won't happen. I just think this is THE nightmare matchup for the Lakers. The Spurs were also a monster matchup, but at the same time, they were older and not as good defensively. If you think about it, the Spurs took it to the lakers once, were up 20 one game, up 17 another. That is 3 wins they SHOULD have had if they could show any kind of ability to maintain which was tough with a bunch of "should be retired's" coming off the bench for them and they couldn't maintain a winning pace. I don't think that is the case here. I could definately be wrong, but I think the Lakers hit two great matchups for them and that one that SHOULD have been ugly with San Antonio, but they were too beat up from being a bunch of 50 year olds and two tough matchups in the first round(and not having the killer instinct that Kobe has). When it comes to preference, i would rather see KG, Pierce and Allen get their rings. I also am so sick of the "The WEST is SOOO much better than the East we should not have a Eastern conference anymore" and one of my teams would have taken the NBA champs to 7 games...so yeah.

It's an alright parody for sure, but the script seemed a bit muddled and all over the place, got the impression is was a rush job of a film to just make a quick buck for the most part. I always thought it was fun to watch, but underrated? Nah, its just "there." Neither really bad, nor really great either. Calling Sly one of the underrated actors of our generation is ridiculous. The parody section of the movie was just pure genius. It was incredibly well written. The "escape into the real world" half also was very strong, and fun dark realism. I like the fact that technically the hero died, only he was saved by getting back into silly movie world. I personally can't find a single thing wrong with that movie for what it is. A parody of a genre. They did it very well. As for Sly, people all say he is a shitty actor. he did a incredible job in First Blood (sure, some of the dialogue was bad, but his acting was amazing), the first Rocky (people underplay his performance there because they like to pretend he was just acting like Stallone) and of course everyone knows about his performace in Copland. Even something like that horrid Get Carter movie. the movie sucked for every reason except his acting. He gets punished for A: The sheer number of shitty movies he has done and B: They are action movies. But he has churned out quite a few amazing perfomances for a guy that people like to lump with the Paul Walker, Keanu Reeves of the world.

Fucking writers strike. That shit looked awesome.

I on the other hand wanted as much violence as possible and shot him in the face and killed every security guard and cop on the way out. I also shot that black chick from the dating website, "Jeni-fun" or whatever when I saw her running around because she turned me down for a date.
