He missed one game to injury!!
-
Yeah, shooting threes will be whoopity doo, but the ball completely change alot of bounce passes and how the ball comes off the back board. Especially if it actually gets slick when wet like the players have been saying. So you will then have to adjust mid game to a completely different ball. There is honestly no realistic reason to change the ball. If a good one is given, then fine, but until then, why the fuck?

*Waves* Here is a secret about the atlanta offense. The recievers...they only run two routes. Stops, and Streaks. Thats it....no slants, no outs, no ins. they run two routes. If you watch a Falcons game, a defender is always there to make a play on the ball. You know why? They know the routes. The falcons can't score on the goalline. You know why? Most of their plays on the goal line have been screen passes. I am talking 1st and goal at the one, they have a reciver step back 2 yards to catch a fucking screen pass. Best rushing offense in the league and they pass on every first and second goaline play. Trust me....noone is worse than this guy. People love saying Vick will never be a 3000 yard passer, he will never be a high rated QB. Except that he was before Knapp got there. Look it up. 3000 yard passer...in his second year in the league. And then there was Knapp.
-
Bye week for the falcons. They will have time to mend up on the defensive and offensive line, and figure out how to put the ball in the endzone in the redzone. Firing Gregg Knapp would be a good start. That guy is the worse offensive coordinator in the NFL hands down.
-
Seriously. All of 8 players in the league like the ball. What exactly is the point?
-
Because what happened last time in a similar situation (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2593080 ) would have been the much better result of it. He did nothing wrong and handled himself better than most of us would. Anyone hits you in the face then hits you with a car I doubt you would be firing warning shots. And once again, Stephen Jackson lone blimish on his criminal record is from that Detroit/Pacer brawl. I still don't see how he got the "He's a thug" label.
-
Which, once again, is why they are going to be a much improved regular season team. But the reality is, Ben Wallace doesn't do a good job on any good big man in the league. None of them. Chandler didn't either. Tyson played 35 games last year so you can say that the production dropped due to that. But the year before, he was just a roaming defensive presense and they left all the down low banging to Curry who sucks defensively but was at least big to muscle people around. And then Chandler put up damn good numbers. Not Wallace numbers, but damn good ones. That is what Wallace did in Detroit. Roam. Get steals, get weakside blocks, get rebounds. He will have to do the same thing in Chicago, and while he will do it better than Chandler, That isn't going to be enough to get them over the hump. PJ Brown and Thabo Greekynamedguy are HUGE pickups for this team, and honestly, having depth in the frontcourt and a big defensive guy in the backcourt are going to be bigger than having Wallace. Yes, they upgraded. Yes...the team is better. But I just don't think they will get by the Beast of the East with this squad.
-
THats just bitter new york fan talking. Seriously, Vlad can't dribble, pass, defended, rebound, run, set a pick, or swing a towel on the bench effectively. He can shoot really really really really really really wide open threes at a consistant rate which is why he is a nice pick up for the Lakers, but Vlads good years are about on par with Tims bad years.
-
Played the demo. Pretty freakin cool. I like the controls as I have always hated the controls of this game. But the new ones...workable. Plus it looks great, and feels pretty good.
-
Um, you do realize who is replacing right? How is Tim Thomas NOT a upgrade over Rad?
-
Yeah, its a upgrade, which is why they will be improved. But I still don't think the team the have on the floor is what it is going to take to beat Miami, because as I have said before, Ben Wallace is probably the best help defender in the NBA right now, but strong, aggressive bigs that go at him don't just beat him, they own him. He is still a 6"8 guy trying to bang. That is why his game play leaped so much when Rasheed Wallace came to the Pistons as Rasheed is a defensive banger, although people seemed to have forgotten because he is Rasheed "i'm a two guard on offense" Wallace on the other end. For Ben Wallace to be effective, you need 4 guys who are good offensively to make up for his offensive liability(which the bulls have) and a solid defensive big man who can cover real bigs. They KINDA have that in PJ, but I have a feeling that PJ and Ben won't be on the court that much together. In 04-05 when Chandler played 80 games and 27 minutes per, He averaged 8 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks. Wallace in 81 games last year and with 10 more minutes a game, averaged 9.5 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. Now I know stats don't make the player and clearly Ben Wallace is a better player than Tyson Chandler by a landslide. But in his role with the Bulls, Tyson Chandler could do near what Wallace will do for them. He coudn't add confidence which I am sure they will have more of now, and he couldn't add that NBA championship leader ship and he damn sure wasn't going to be able to hold his own on a swith with a SF or SG like Wallace can, but he grabbed the boards that his jumpshooting guards put up there, and he blocked or altered shots when they got buy their man and he dunked the occasional ball when rolling to the basket. All while taking only 5 shots a game in compared to Wallace's new found need to be involved offensively and chucking up 10 shot per game. This isn't video games. You don't just put in a player with higher ratings in the same position and the team automatically gets better. The role left by Chandler will be filled by Wallace and if wallace has a monster season of 5 blocks a game, 16 rebounds and 4 steals, then he will be giving them twice what Tyson did. But as it stands, you can expect pretty much the same output with the team having a little more swagger and confidence which will mean more wins in the regular season, but when they run up on some teams that have been in the playoffs with them and aren't afraid of them, they are going to have trouble. And in a Miami/Chicago series, no, Ben Wallace is not a upgrade. You still have a center that can't stop the opposing bigs only he shoots a worse freethrow percentage. The big aqusistion that will be really REALLY important to the bulls will be Thabo Whatshisgreekasname. Mark my words. This guy is going to make someone expendable really really quickly on the Bulls, and his defense on perimeter players will make more of a difference in the playoffs this year than Ben Wallace's defense on opposing bigs.
-
Or that playoffs and regular season are two different things. I still don't see a single thing that the Bulls did that will help them beat the heat any more than they could have last year. They had freakishly high shooting percentages from 3 last year, but no inside presence to stop shaq and they still don't.

Why is robert downey jr so underrated anyway. I mean seriously, even if the movie is pure shit, he usually does his fucking thing. I mean jesus, he did a great job in Black and White and that was the worse fucking movie I have seen in a long time. Plus, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is the shit. LESS THAN ZERO MUTHAFUCKERS, LESS THAN MUTHA FUCKING ZERO. Of course he can pull it off. The guy is an real ACTOR!!

Am I seeing something or was Hiro's mouth bleeding when he showed up in New York? That can never be a good sign. With all he has to go through with his mind to make himself use the power, I figured his power would cause some kind of physical damage. I think it did. And for all the talk about cheerleader girl and the garbage disposal, her ribs sticking out was pretty kickass too. I liked it though.

Most likely Morrison 3) Which team will be most improved in 2005-06? The Atlanta Hawks. 4) What player(s) is most likely have a breakout season? Josh Smith. 5) What team had the best offseason? Toss up, Chicago Bulls or Phoenix Suns. 6) What team had the worst offseason? Um....Philly. They didn't do ANYTHING. 7) What one move will make the biggest impact? Hopefully Marcus Banks to Phoenix. 8) What was the most surprising move of the offseason? Bonzi Wells signing to Houston for like 5 cent and a lollipop. 9) What was the most underrated move of the offseason? The moves that the Hawks made. 10) What was the single worst move of the offseason? Nuggets....Nene...nuff said. 11) What team(s) will move into the playoff picture? Hawks, Hornets, Orlando. 12) What team(s) will fall out of the playoff picture? Philly, Memphis, any bottom team in the East. 13) Who is the best player in the league at each position? Point Guard: Steve Nash Shooting Guard: Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade Small Forward: Lebron James Power Forward: Dirk Center: I guess Yao...wasn't a really impressive year for Centers. 14) Will Isiah Thomas still be with the Knicks after this season? Yes, because they will greatly improve from last years record. 15) Will Kevin Garnett still be with the Wolves after this season? Maybe. Depends on how well Griffin and Foye play. I say probably. 16) Will Allen Iverson still be with the Sixers after this season? I doubt it. If ticket sales don't rise, they will go ahead and move him. Probably by the break if they aren't winning. 17) Division winners: Dude...I don't have time to look up who is in each division. 18) Eastern Conference Finals: Here I am on my big ass limb.....Cavs, Heat. 19) Western Conference Finals: Suns, Spurs 20) NBA Finals: Suns, Cavs. Yeah...I said it. 21) Make one bold prediction. The Atlanta Hawks will take the 7th or 8th position in the east.

The Production is amazing. It is a decent album, but I can just listen to it playing all day. Lyrically, he sounds like he dumbed it down for a mainstream release.

They gave up on that whole passing thing for awhile. This Nebraska option offense suits them better. And that whole adding Lawyer Milloy, Grady Jackson, Chris Crocker, John Abraham, Wayne Gandy, Norwood from the draft, Recivers that actually get open, new QB coach and a offense that is actually geared to their strengths. Yeah...they are a little different now. Milloy and especially Abraham (who was a fucking monster against Carolina) are definitely upgrades, while I haven't really heard of the others outside of Grady "fat useless bastard" Jackson. Jackson will look great against an inexperienced and small offensive line, but against an experienced and/or big offensive line, he's utterly worthless. He hasn't done well against the run for a while, and is kinda over the hill. But I agree with you that this is a different Falcons squad. But also a much different Bears squad. Maybe we'll see them in the playoffs since we don't get them in the regular season. I also think the Saints will probably make the playoffs this year now that I think about it a bit more. I don't know who the hell those other two receivers with numbers in the teens were outside of Joe Horn, but they were pretty good, or at least Drew Brees makes them look that way. The NFC South just might've flipped upside down. Grady Jacksons role on the falcons is to be fat and take up space. And he does that well. We had a undersized defensive end playing that position last year. ANd two strong rushing teams didn't go apeshit on us in the first two weeks. Hopefully his fat ass will stay fat and help in stopping that. I don't care if he just falls when the ball is hiked, at least he isn't getting pushed back like our other DT on rushing plays.

*raises hand* I would. Until someone figures out how to get them off the field. offensively.

The only thing that intrest me about the PS3 is the fact that the more crap you put into something like this, the more security exploits you leave in it. Mark my words. PS3 will be the single most hackable console of this generation. Although they are making way on the 360, the PS3....its going to be the new Xbox.

I still don't buy the theory of a "great chin". I think great defensive technique can allow you to get blasted but it not hit you in the right place, thus you stay up. Hit anyone in the right spots and they are going down. The differece between the guys who's "chin" seems to weaken when they are gassed is because they stop tucking their chin, get sloppy and leave openings that weren't there in the first place. guys like Tua, he gets gassed, but if you really watch him, he still doesn't forget how to get hit. I could be very wrong, but I just don't buy the "you can't knock him down cause he has a iron chin" people. I just don't.

There is nothing wrong with Rap music. Genre changing legends have become big since BIggie died, let alone hip-hop just being "okay" since then. Mainstream music of every genre for the most part sucks, because they are made to appeal to the most people possible, and lets face it, the vast majority wants to hear catchy tunes that make your toes tap, not lyrics that actually mean something. D4L and Dem Franchise Boys got fame for a reason. Hip hop is doing fine. This is the natural progression of the genre. Something becomes popular because it was underground and only slect people listened to it. Its popularity creates a whole other sub-genre of that music that is all inclusive and really has nothing to do with the original genre and all the fans of the original genre ignore the people still doing it the right way and bitch all day.

But he actually is a "good" ball handler. He isn't going to win any skill competition but his ball handling is amoung the best amoung big men in the NBA. Once again, when most of what people see out of a guy is monster dunks night in and night out, they tend to think that is all that he can do. How will he hold up is a good question though, seeing as the suns run that run all the time style, but we'll see.

I'm sure you will anyway Rant. So peoples...is this worth a buy or not. I too am sick of GTA but is this different enough to warrent a purchase.
