Is someone going to shoot Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse and Jason Terry? Because to my count thats 4 1/2 unstoppable guys (Stackhouse gets a half) to the two of Miami. Dallas in 5 on this one for me. The bulls proved that the Heat has trouble with teams that can hit from the perimeter, something that Jersey and Detroit can't do on a regular basis. Simply put, Detroit had about 10,000 wide open 3's and so did Jersey. They had wide open 16 footers. Do that against Dallas and you are going to get your ass smoked.

I think Barbosa's hurt too, because his offensive game was on tonight, but he had to sit because of the dumbass foul calls.

Dallas is better without Nash. I'll also go out on a limb and predict that Phoenix will be worse with Amare next year. He's gonna eat into minutes of guys who got them this far, and he demands too many touches. And let's not forget they were a Tim Thomas miracle 3 away from losing in the 6th game of Round 1 and Nash will be a year older next year. I'm gonna say Dallas in 7, though I'd like to see Miami in 6. Either Dirk or Wade will get # 1, so it's win/win for me. Dude, keep your hating in one thread. Fact of the matter is the only reason Dallas doesn't have a ring right now is because of a Dirk injury against the Spurs a few years back. The let nash go, added Jason Terry, a bigger role for Josh Howard, Jerry Stackhouse, solid play at the center, Devin Harris and a great new Coach. They let go one great player and added 5-6 other pieces.

I say a healthy Amare means no coming out party for Boris Diaw who now can pair with him on a front line that is simply going to be unstoppable. I think that the loss of Raja Bell was bigger for the Suns in this series. But he too has had a coming out party this offseason. Barring any big injury, I don't see how the Suns aren't the team to beat.

Hell of a year for the suns and hell of a playoff run. Team went from being a laughing stock two years ago to the team people were bandwagon jumping on (or in some peoples cases, became whiners over their success which is just as telling). I expect nothing less than a NBA championship next year. I am routing for Dallas to win it all, despite the fact that it appears that noone in Dallas (writers in particular) have shown any class when it comes to them winning( I am sorry, but they have been sore winners this year). Dirk, Avery, and Keith Van Horn(hells yeah) are guys I really want to see succeed and I still got love for Jason Terry from his Hawks years. I still think that the Officials killed this game dead for the suns when they had to start pulling Diaw, Barbosa, and Thomas because of the horrid foul calls in the first half. But Dirk turned it on and the suns couldn't recover.

I am guessing you just turned to the game. Yep. I was watching the Mets salvage a game in a horribly played doubleheader. I got here just in time to watch Phoenix implode. Good times. Good times. Okay. Because two plays earlier Dirk did the same to Diaw...except somehow it wasn't a shooting foul.

I actually think the suns are in trouble after this piss poor officating in the first half. Adjusted Fouls should be like 1 on Tim Thomas, 2 on Barbosa, 1 on Diaw, 2 on Harris and 2 on Terry. Terry's second and Harris's 2nd were both a crock of crap.

I think it is more the other team being hyped up and when you are hyped up, you are likely to take quick shots, and jumpers, which, as we have all been told, plays into the suns game. Something I haven't mentioned, I think that A: Bill Walton should never call Lakers games B: Magic Johnson should never be in the studio during a Laker game and C: Steve Kerr should never call a Suns game. Steve is the one that shows the fewest amount of bias of the 3 but he still has too many bias towards the Suns.

And there isn't a shortage of them starving to death (especially in Brazil)

I would say the Pacers put up more than a 'mild' fight that year. If I am remembering correctly they were two shots away from being up 3-1 in that series.

The same pistons bitching at the end of the year about defensive coaching, are the same ones that earlier this year talking about how they did more defensive drills this season than the last two under Brown. Honestly, the Pistons acted like a Larry Brown coached team this year. When things got tough, blame someone else. Flip Saunders didn't tell Chauncy Billups and Rasheed Wallace to pass up wide open lanes to the basket to take 16 footers. He didn't tell the screeners to get lazy when Rip Hamilton was doubled off the screens and not roll to the basket. They played like shit on the court and couldn't hit a open shot. I think he should have went to some guys like Delfino or Tony Delk in this series...guys that are proven defenders that can actually hit a open shot. But he went to Maurice Evans who can honestly do neither.

You guys do know that nearly everything that Cena does is stolen from some "rapper" right? I say "rapper" because he took that from Tony Yayo, and i don't think that what he does qualifies with rap. When has Dirk complained about being fouled when he wasn't actually hit? When has Dirk flopped like a fish out of water because someone tried to back him down in the series? When has a reporter or commentator called him on flopping, or pushing off, or trying to tackle a guy by the jersey? See, Dirk actually gets HIT and then complains. The Suns do NOT, and then complain. It's not even close to being the same thing. Ginobili, Duncan, Parker, Bowen and Pops play the same game that Phoenix does. Dirk doesn't. See, I was waiting for you to post some bullshit like this. I was seeing if you were going to post a book on how the Mavs are ruining basketball with all their flopping and such. Because last night, the Mavs were the floppers. But of course, thats different because its not the suns. Jason Terry, Darryl Armstrong, Devin Harris, DIRK...flopping all over the place. And I have no problem with it because not one bad call was made. When it was no foul, nothing was called and when there was a foul they called it. As for the techs, Raja didn't get called for complaining the call. He got called for unnecessary contact after the play, it was actually Howard bitching at the refs. People saying he was bitching are simply making shit up. The exact same thing got called on Jason Terry a few plays later. Mike D'Antoni was not bitching about the call, he was talking about the same thing happening with Marion the play before and they called nothing. Good game by the Mavs, both teams have dominated the other for one game, and Dirk was incredible. The suns just need to come out strong in game 6 (which I believe they will do) and play that dreaded game 7in Dallas.

No, seriously, its down right laughable. The fact that you would turn a blind eye to it happening in the same game on the other side just shows your blind hatred of the suns has reached Dama like proportions. I see a team playing incredible team basketball on both sides of the court, and they are in position to win a title. And for all the "SUNS PLAY NO D people", there is a reason teams don't get fast break points on them. Its called trasition D. Bottomline, they are overmatched physically at nearly every position on the court, so its not like they are supposed to be locking people down. People look at crap like opponets points per game and say the suns suck at D when the fact is they take most of their shots within 10 seconds of the shot clock, meaning more offensive chances for the other team. But look at how many turnovers they force. Most of all, look at the point differential in their wins. Shooting that ball with one second on the shotclock all night will make the most of you believe that its good D.

When he tried to do so twice, he got called for the blocking foul twice(going down when he was in the wrong). The refs making the right call is being ignored so you can say "OH MY GOD RAJA FELL WHEN HE GOT FOULED!!!!" And the jersey pulling...while it was a foul, come the fuck on. Are you going to sit here and try and pretend that jerseys aren't pulled every game? To stop the screen and roll with Diaw, Jason Terry was grabbing his jersey nearly every time to stop him from rolling. I don't see you posting about that. I don't see you posting about the elbow to Nashs head or the numerous bad calls the suns got at the end of game 3. NO, Nash pulled a jersey and raja overacted when it WAS a offensive foul and people should hate the suns for it. They got away with a play. Big freakin whoop. Dallas has gotten away with its share of plays. So has every other team in the playoffs. But if you are going to pretend that the suns won by 20 last night because Nash pulled Dirks Jersey on one rebound, then I don't know what to tell ya.

He argued over their two first round picks being gone, not Diaw. Good game by the suns. This one looked like a bust it open one for them from the start and they delievered. Series tied at 2-2.

This isn't college ball. The D doesn't have to collapse on a player that in all honesty couldn't finish at the rim against 6'5 Centers let alone the ones that are lurking in the NBA.
