Death might get in its way too. -
So did Glenn Robinson. 1st, my ass he is 6'10. He is a 6'9" small forward sized dude. When he adds some bulk he will be able to score down there, but he is going to have to be a face up guy to be effective his rookie year. he is just too small right now. I don;t doubt that he won't be a damn good scorer in the league, but for his height, he isn't freakishly long like some guys that come in the league a little undersized and can still score on the block.

Beasley is about as much of a low post scorer in the NBA as I am. They should be trading up, taking Lopez, and using the number one pick to pick up someone else that can contribute. And the Knicks need to win now because cap space means nothing when you have won 60 games in 3 years. You need free agents to WANT to come there.
-
Oh comeon, the last thing the Knicks needed was a top 3 pick. Now they can trade the pick like they should do to get some talent so they can win now.

It depends. Elton Brand might opt out too, so he could end up in LA if Philly gets him. But since I think LA would match, I think he could end up in Philly.

This would seem fairly obvious. If homosexuality is actually a genetic predisposition and not a free-willed choice, then obviously it would be a recessive gene which can skip generations and doesn't get switched on very often. Some gays have had straight relationships (either through repression or hiding of their true nature) which produced offspring, but this phenomenon alone couldn't possibly account for the seemingly random distribution of homosexual tendencies throughout society. Of course, the nature vs. nuture issue does kinda run into a wall when you consider people who are bi-/poly-/pan-/whatever the new trendy name for it is -sexual. They don't seem programmed to accept any one specific thing. Or all of the other weirder and less socially acceptable sexaul proclivities out there. (Like, would anyone chose to become, for example, a pedophile?) I think perhaps the biggest argument for it not being a choice; if you weren't gay, why would you want to be? Aside from the relatively minor recent trend of Brokeback Eye For The L Word Guy, homosexuality has traditionally been an act which has been considered one of the most shameful lifestyles. I mean, fifty years ago, people would've much rather lived next door to bank robbers than to faggots. Even today being outwardly gay can be a good way to catch a beating in certain places and times. There's still a very common social stigma which goes with it. So I just can't agree with the idiots who claim that people are deliberately turning gay just because it's trendy or whatever similar stupid fucking argument they're floating today. Well...okay. I admit I am wrong. Obviously some research into homosexuality needs to be done. Because, I would say there are some wildly differing opinions to what Jingus here said. I still stand by the silly nature of this whole "Should gays be allowed to get married" thing.

There is one. He could've said something like "well, your momma's asshole is so loose that every time I thrusted, my sack bounced in and out of there like a yo-yo through a basketball hoop". Of course, he can't say it now since I already did. Yeah, but it still wouldn't have been as good. I maintain there is simply no way to on up that. Mostly because what he said in the first place didn't make any sense. -

I would argue that human sexuality, while it does have its evolutionary benefits of procreation, doesn't solely hinge on it. Human sexuality is also goes hand in had with emotion, and cognitive thought. Humans are probably the only species that would choose to couple with the less fertile male or female based on things such material possessions for example. The way our minds work seperates us from animals, whose primary goal is to procreate. Humans even chose to remove that function from the equation and engage in sex purely for the emotional and physical benifits. When you take that into account, it would be obvious that a minoirity of the species would share an attraction with those of the same sex for the same reasons that those of the opposite sex find each other attractive. While some men are attracted to large breast, some are not. Some men are attracted to hard pectorials. All of that is to be expected. If you discover and unlock all the secrets of human attraction and sexuality you unlock the secrets to homosexuality. And you are ignoring the rational thought that if Muslims, Hindu, Budist etc. couples are allowed to be married and recognized in the US, then it obviously is not up to the interpretation of Christian beliefs. As I have said before, if Gays are able to get married, then apparently they are members of a religion that says its okay. How exactly can the argument be made that a gay couple contributes more or less than any other couple? The burden of proof is on the goverment to provide a reason that their unjust and discriminatory actions are excusable. Gays can no more prove that they are valuable contributors to society any more than you and I. Requiring them to prove the unproveable is beyond silly. You are pretending that the goverments stance has anything to do with contribution to society. It doesn't. It is solely based on some peoples religious beliefs, which is not what this nation was supposedly built upon.

So. The Suns fire a damn good coach so they can bring in Mystery guy with Nash running out of years and...oh yeah...they traded for Shaq. We also gave up 2 unprotected first round picks to the Sonics so they have Kurt Thomas who sign with the Spurs later. The Hawks are getting turned down left and right by GM candidates. Maybe because the ownership is in shambles and the Last GM wanted to fire the coach 3 times only to be told "No." Oh...yeah...and they are probably bringing back Mike Woodson, and if they don't have a GM pretty soon, Josh Smtih and Childress are going to be hitting the FA market without anyone really to negotiate with from our team. The Falcons cut all their interior defenders, meaning of course that they should take Glen Dorsey in the draft. Except they didn't. So the go into the new year with no one in particular at the interior defense....for a defense that had trouble stopping the run. They also traded Deangleo Hall (Their best defensive back), let Demario Williams walk(very tallented LB they could have had for not much money) cut Alge Crumpler (one of the best TE's in the game) and Warrick Dunn. Then they sign Matt Ryan, who they drafted instead of Dorsey, to a 70+ million dollar contract with 34+ million of it guarenteed. Those are my favorite teams. All I have to look forward to is the Phoenix Mercury and it will take a miracle for the Shock not to win the title this year in the WNBA.

I believe he will definately opt out. If he doesn't then that is a good start with him Wade and haslim, but I just don't see marion not opting out and I doubt they would extend him at the money he wants.
-
Dwayne Wade = Alot of talent? They don't have any other position filled except haslim at the 4 and argubaly Dorell Wright at the 3. Thats it. They have nothing right now. The Bulls have alot of talent. The heat have one guy and a bunch of other guys.

See what happens when you don't think your comebacks out more clearly? Shit like that. Now there is simply no comeback you can come up with to take nl5xsk1's down. I hope you are proud. -
Fuck that, Walter? Are you posting with your friend Walter again?
-
I hope they break his fucking fingers. Spurs in 7, Pistons in 6. Well, thanks Dama II. Well...actually, there is a legit reason to dislike Kobe so much you wish injury on him. With the raping people and all.

You are seperating the study from homosexuality from "normal" heterosexuality. I personally see them as one in the same. Human sexuality is human sexuality. It is simply humanities labeling of homosexuality as taboo that would make anyone have pause. So its not so much that you don't need to study human attraction, its that seperating the studies as to try and figure out homosexuality seems kinda dumb to me as it is just another case of human attraction. The same rules and notions clearly apply to those of homosexual nature. And gay marriage still only affects those envolved in a gay marriage. Just as hetero marriage effects those that are married. What conseqences and precedents affect everyone?
-
AND Matt Ryan gets 34 million guarenteed in his contract with Atlanta.... ... *sigh*
-
You have enough information. A adult person who has no connection to you happens to be sexually and emotionally attracted to a person of the same sex, who also has no connection to you. Thus, its no one's fucking business but theirs. There is no point on building a opinion because it isn't yours. As to why it happens, there is no reason that it shouldn't happen. I personally don't understand why people think it needs to explained through biological, genetic or environmental study. Once you explain attraction and emotional attachement amoung humans, you have a reason why there is homosexuality.
-
I think the real question is who takes the first "purely making a play on the ball" swipe at Kobe's bad finger? Robert Horry or Bruce Bowen?
-
I like the part about the NBA pressuring the US ATTORNEY'S OFFICE to drop a case. Because the NBA has that kind of pull. This is just the case of one asshole wanting to drag whoever he can down with him to get less prision time.
-
Also all those 50 win teams completely ignores that there were four sub-25 win teams in the West when compared 2 in the West.
-
Well Spurs/Hornets, Lakers/Jazz, and Celtics/Cavs gave us some damn good elimination games.
-
Oh bah, he is a jumpshooter. He had just as many good games as Duncan did in this series.
-
Well thats it. We got Spurs/Lakers. I got to tell ya, if the Lakers win that I will be plenty impressed. I just see way to many mismatches for the Spurs there.
