I appears that the Suns are going to sign Tim Thomas, mostly for their lack of size right now. As long as he can hit a WIDE OPEN 3, run the floor and finish he will be useful. Since he can do all of the above, I have no problem with this signing.

Not to shoot down Bryan, but he is a little overrated as a GM. The Suns have GREAT scouts, which is why the seldom have bust out of their drafts unless they have only late LATE picks. But when it comes to trades...dude is horrible. Getting free agents...not that great. SUns ownership and players and coaches all went to whoo Steve Nash, and if not for that huge contract he probably still wouldn't have left. Toronto has a great young core with Bosh, James and the improving Charlie Villu-whatshisname. BUT their ability to KEEP free agents is going to be the big thing. I personally don't think that Toronto will ever be able to sign a big named free agent. I just don't see it.

I am worried about the Suns now. Yeah, they have won 7 in a row, but with Kurt Thomas missing the next two months, Amare still questionable, Tstilisvili out, and Brian Grant not close to being ready to come back, they have NO big men. Except Pat fucking Burke. Everyday I remember that Colangelo traded Marj Lampe, Jackson Vroman for Jim Jackson (who doesn't touch the court now) and Zarko Carbarkapa for a 2nd round pick that will probably never make the team, and Jake Voskul for a 2nd rounder...I get pissed.

Al Harrington is the only one, but him leaving will open up space for Marvin Williams, who will be a very good player. He is a great shooter and rebounder and has the handles to be a slasher and finisher at the basket. He has shown a knack for hitting big shots. While Al Harrington has been a very good player for the Hawks, when he is missing, Childress minutes increase and so do Marvins and the play alot better. Sign and trade Harrington for...well...anything, and they will be doing okay. I am already hoping that they take a shot at David Lee.

Great game. I have confidence for the future of this team. Josh Smith should bulk up so he can be strong enough to defend PF's. He is a great finisher around the basket, in the top 10 in block shots (honestly, I think he is the best shot blocker in the NBA), has a decent shot from 15 feet and he has the height. If he bulks up a little or gets stronger, he is the solution at the PF. Josh Childress is the solution at the SG. The guy has been fucking amazing. If he hadn't had such a slow start more people would notice. But just to throw in some numbers, he is averaging 18 points a game in his last 5, he he is shooting 55 percent from the field for the year (second in the NBA) and 50 percent from 3 and in February the dude is shooting 58 percent from the field and 56 percent from 3. Dude has the handles to be the back up point, the size to be a shut down defender. Joe Johnson is the guy at the point. He was shaky at the start of the year too, but now he is learning to balance scoring and passing. He is averaging 10 assist per game for February, and 18 per game. He is utilizing his size against smaller guards and he is apparently quick enough to defend the guys too. Things are looking up for this team.

At WORSE he would be a All Star caliber small forward? And at Best he would be a backup powerforward? Ignoring the fact the Lewis is a 6' 10 small forward that averages 20 + points and is one of the better perimeter shooters in the league and Turiaf is a energetic power forward/center that can basically make layups and rebound, are you dissin Rashard Lewis?

Turiaf has the ability to do both. Bynum, Turiaf, Odem, Bryant and some unnamed big point guard are the lakers future starting lineup. (It aint' gonna be Smush)

I personally hate Dead Prez because of how racist they are. Its annoying. I will give people Mos Def's 2004 album not being as great as it could have been. It had a few great songs and the rest of the album sounded like a preview for a longer album he was doing or something. He had songs that were like 45 sec. long. Talib though...he hasn't released a weak album yet. Right About Now(the last one he released) is really goddamn good. He managed to make a ode to Lauryn Hill a banger, something I thought whould suck when I heard the concept. And I honestly can't see anyone calling quality and the Beautiful struggle misfires. I still say the best of hip-hop lies in mixtapes. There is no worry about album sales, just making music there. Joe Buddens latest mixtape is incredible. And while I don't really care for Jeezy that much (I am not a fan of crack music and thats ALL he's got) the guy is a mixtape beast. But the Yeahs, and thats right's get annoying I guess. Even guys like Little Brother who released probably the best Hip Hop album last year have 3-4 mixtapes that are on that level or better. Lil Wayne releases a great mixtape what seems like every month. I have personally given up on the mainstream stuff even from artist that I like because they have got to try and sell records, and what sells isnt what I like. When I heard the hook to the new Bubba Sparxxx song being "bootybootybootybootybootybootybooty" I died a little inside knowing the guy that made a incredible album like Delieverence made that garbage ass song, but I understand they need to eat. So I stay in mixtape land and I am quite happy with the state of hiphop.

Francis is a pretty good defender though. Thats why they were able to get away with that Mobley/Francis back. Not saying he will be able to hang with the likes of Kobe or T-mac, but really...who can? I read that Isaiah wanted to send Hardaway and the pick from Denver to Portland for Darius Miles and Theo Ratliff, but Brown said of the two trades he would rather have Francis.

Isaiah said that he personally didn't understand why Brown wanted Francis but made the trade because the coach requested it. So now the question is, what was Larry Brown thinking. For the record, I think that the knicks will be much improved in the short term.

But Horny had more range than both of them put together. Wally and Redick will never be consistant NBA range shooters. They will be deadly at that College arch, and in. Plus, Wally can post up...he just can't score when he does it which always makes me wonder why the hell he does it. And Jeff Hornacek would play the backup point of Phoenix and Utah sometimes. He had very good handles and was a great passer. I wouldn't call either Wally or JJ excellent handlers or passers.

The more and more I play Black, the more in love with it I become. I do think that the term "gun porn" is perfect for it. There is nothing more satisfying than getting shot at with a RPG and sending a shot back at the guy and blowing up the entire goddamn building. The graphics are beautiful and while some of the gun mechanics make no sense, the amount of all out gun battles are incredibly fun.

I don't get why people think that JJ can't create his own shot. I think he has the same shot creating ability as say Richard Hamilton who benifits from alot of catching and turning, but when push comes to shove, has decent handles to where he can get him self to a stop and pull up situation. I don't think he will ever be a finisher at the rim, but he has been driving the ball alot more this year and showing that he can go in there. Wally Z shot mostly from the perimeter and shot over 50%. Well over 50 some years. I don't think people appreciate how freakishly good that is. I see JJ doing the same. being a perimeter guy that will shoot a VERY high percentage and it will get him in the 20+ point position in the NBA if the team utilizes him correctly. I also would say that the Jeff Horneck comparison would be good but I don't think that JJ has Horny's range...much like Wally. And Jeff had a great career. He was just on the decline by the time he got to Utah so alot of people didn't get to see him in his prime when he was part of the big three in Phoenix with KJ and Tom Chambers.

Hip hop is a lyrical based artform with a musical backing. The lyrical content is the basis of it and the music provides the flow which the lyrics are put to. Rock music (for example) is more of a instrumental and vocal artform where the lyrics take a backseat. The beauty of Hip hop lies in its use of words and the ability to make them flow. If you take alot of the lyrics of rock music, they simply cannot hold a candle to what was said and the complexity of how it was said in hip hop. The thing that pisses me off is that people who are either two stubborn or to stupid to realize that different genres of music are attempting to get their artform across in different ways are the main ones screaming that the other is not music or that it is noise and screaming. If you are going to look for rock to do the same thing as hip-hop or vice versa you should simply shut the fuck up when it comes to musical discussion. Rock music not having the musical complexities of classical music is not a valid complaint about rock, because it is not supposed to and is not attempting to do that. Same for hip hop. If you don't get it, why waste everyones time by saying its stupid because you are too stupid to get it. I will always find someone saying something like: My pen and paper cause a chain reaction To get your brain relaxin, cause they be actin maniac in action A brainiac in fact, son, you mainly lack attraction You looking zany whack with just a fraction of my tracks spun to be an incredible artform espcially when supplied with the right beat and saying it at the right cadence. If you don't then fine. But fuck anyone that is going to say that it isn't music because they like something else.
