What the hell did my post have to do with that?
-
Wow.

Man, it should be illegal for Reggie Miller to commentate any big game, let alone a Game 7 in the playoffs.
-
Maybe so, and you are correct that culture evolves, but it's not like there is some huge "gays should get married" movement in this country that a lot of straight people are behind. It's a very vocal minority advocating this. This isn't like the abolitionist movement of the 1800s. That logic is retardly flawed. There will never be some huge movement and it will always be a vocal minority because gays are the minority. There was a small, vocal minority that felt that interracial marriage should be legal. You have numerous cases before Loving v. Virgina where people were still charged with felonies for engaging in any interracial dating, sex or marriage. Being the majority doesn't make something right. Your entire argument is completely based on you saying your thoughts and beliefs should be forced on everyone. As I said before, its not like they are getting married under YOUR religion. If they are a member of a certain religion that allows for them to get married, you are basically telling everyone that their religion doesn't count because its not yours.

Nene is foul prone, and as you said, they lose frontcourt depth for a PG who isn't a franchise PG and a SF who is no better than the one they had already. I personally would never trade an "elite" center for a marginal PG unless you're in a situation where you're trying to clear cap space or getting rid of a team cancer in the process. If that's what Denver is trying to do, then it's a good deal for both teams. Marcus Camby is a horrible player that blocks some shots every game. thats not a elite center. marcus Williams has great skills to play the point and a uptempo system would allow him to thrive. People think New Jersey was a running team because they had kid and athletes, but they were one of the slowest teams in the league offensively. It simply didn't fit his style, although he showed great flashes in his rookie year. Maybe you are moving laterally with the Richard Jefferson thing, but you are getting rid of Camby's horrible contract, and what will turn out to be a horrible max contract for Melo if his balls don't drop in the next couple of years. So from a contract standpoint, its a great deal for Denver. From a player standpoint, they lose some scoring at the 3, but the same time, you DO have Iverson. You also upgrade your point guard position and get rid of Camby, who, I repeat, really sucks.

I wish Atlanta would cut Keith Brookings worthless ass and sign him. But in Atlanta, we only cut vets when they are producing.
-
Nene is a 7 footer. And he doesn't weight 185lbs like Camby does. And a better defender than Camby. Kenyon is a 6'9 PF. It doesn't matter how tall jefferson is because Carmelo is a god awful defender and anyone is a upgrade. i don't see how you can think that team is worse defensively when they get rid of the two worse defenders. Only thing they lose is depth at the big man spots and those can be had with the lottery pick or any free agent big men floating around. They could spend money on a guy like Diop for the MLE and have him as a backup/starterwhenNenegetsinjured.
-
I wonder why they don't have faith in their defensive line? OH thats right, they cut two productive starters and went into the offseaon with only a injured rookie at the DT positions and didn't draft the best one in the draft when they had the chance but instead went for a fucking QB.
-
Why would the Nuggets give up 2/3 of their starting frontcourt for a lesser small forward, a back up point guard, an expiring contract and a lottery pick? I can kind of see why the Nets would make the deal but Denver would be much worse off. They get a lottery pick, and get rid of Camby who thinks he should be more involved in the offense. They also get rid of the two worse defenders in their starting lineup. And marcus williams is a upgrade at their starting point guard (Anthony Carter? Really?) They would need to get a big unless they are counting on Nene being around next year. But a team of Nene, Kenyon, Jefferson, Iverson, Williams really isn't that bad, if all you have to give up is a whining chucker with questionable heart and a guy that doesn't play defense but just gets alot of weakside blocks, manages to shoot 44 percent but get mad that he doesn't get more shots.

I think it will be fun to see a detroit that has something to prove and for the first time(in their own eyes at least) in years. They want people to know that they are better than the Celtics so I think you are going to see a completely focused team here.

The last online game I played went 4 overtimes. I figured it wasn't going to get any better than that so I haven't played again this whole year.
-
If you were a cop, would you be corrupt?
Ripper replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in No Holds Barred
How do you explain all the fucking litter in the mid section of this country? Because there are like 4 black people in between mississippi and California -
I wouldn't go that far. That Paul and Kobe guy are still going too.
-
I think its safe to say that is game. Amazingly great game 7 though. One hell of a game.
-
Lebrons miss is HUUUUUUGE now.
-
And of course Joe Smith is on the court for no reason.
-
eh, it was the right play. Go to the rim. Fading away wasn't great. But going to the rim was the good move. And here is where you have Damon Jones, Sasha, delonte West and Ilgauskas in the game. Even big Z has 3 range.
-
How was the second one not a jump ball!!! That was more of a jump than the first one. But its fine, because I have to admit, I hate the "jump on the guy and its a jump ball" thing in the NBA. Just a hell of a time to call it.
-
MIKE BROWN with the smart move!!!! Get the fuck out of here. Ben Wallace cost them on the last possession.
-
Thats a whole lot of celebrating for a minute and a half to go. This is just one hell of a game. And I need to repeat, it should have been Pierce/Lebron the whole series.
-
This should have been the whole series.
-
To be fair, they did admit they were wrong when the replay showed that there wasn't any contact. I mean, thats fine. But it wasn't just one call. The "took up" for Pierce on 3 seperate plays. I think its fine to thinkg there was a foul there or not. My point is, whining about fouls on one end and when the replay shows Lebron getting grabbed by pierced then knocked by Perkins then saying "Well, its up to the players to adjust if there isn't a foul there" is just them showing clear bias. The refs are calling this game just perfectly if you ask me. JVG is just horrible. The celtics regular announcers are bias, but hell, at least they are alot more fun.
-
Yeah, they shouldn't have put that movie as a summer release.
-
They should just get Celtics normal commentators to do the game. At least I would get some Tommy points. I mean, crying about Pierce not getting a foul call when he didn't come close to get touched but saying "well, its up to the offical there" when pierce is grabbing lebron by the arm off of the screen is funny. Seriously, dude is being obviously fouled 3-4 times every drive. JVG is quite horrible. I do think we we are about to see one hell of a game here.

because of the dumb prescident it starts. Who is to say we can't have a law against women wearing pants? Or cutting their hair? Or working for that matter. You can't let the beliefs of one people dictate completely dumb laws.
