Most Anticipated Hip Hop Albums of 2006

Of course I will get this because I have all the others. Have RARELY been disappointed. But I do agree that they should just realese Roots Live albums instead of studio ones. Luda....he has talent, but I can't think of 3 songs in all his albums worth listening to on regularity. He is a damn good club music maker I guess, but I doubt I will ever buy a Luda album. "has never not been the most consistent muthafucka around". What the fuck does that mean. You confused me Busta. Anyway, I haven't gotten a Busta album in a while but I will get this JUST because of the people it features and I haven't heard Rah Digga in a while. Even if that means that I have to listen to Rampage say his name 60,000 times in the same song she will probably be on. No I won't get it. I am sorry but I just don't like the dude that much. Definately going to get this but he should definately get away from the P$C because they suck and make whatever song they are on the worst on the album. Trap Muzik was a damn good album and Urban Legend was made for radio but still a very strong allbum. Dude is pretty incredible lyrically, although I hope he opens up the subject matter a little and just lets it go. I don't think I will have to say anything here. No reason to believe that this album will be anything but incredible and I will get it on release date. I won't get it because I am not trying to hear "The G Unit Family". I hope they make alot of money off of this though. seriously. They deserve a big seller. But I am gonig to put money on this sucking. Whatever. Cam has sucked since 99. Call me when he shows some talent again. I will see. His last few albums have been very good (although the last one was definately too long with far to many "eh" songs). Plus he is talking some pure bullshit in alot of his lyrics IMO so that is why I am going to have to wait on this one. I expect this to be a DAMN fine album because of the great production and like him or not Game can rap. The fact that I could care less for MC Gusto here won't sway me from getting it. Plus....Lauryn Hill is going to be on it son!

    College Hoops 2k6

I tried to import a college draft into NBA 2K6 and I will be damned if it doesn't work AGAIN. This is just plain fucking bullshit. This is the second year in a row that it doesn't work and you have to buy X-box live to download a patch to get it to work. And since I don't have Live, once again, I can't use the feature.
  3. They almost won the gold with NO jumpshooters. The most talented guys were just sitting on the bench though.
  4. I would bet anyone in the world money that if you gave the last olympic team a different coach they would have won the gold.

    This week in the NBA

Unless you are Jermaine O'neil who punched a guy that had just tackled either a assistant coach or Anthony Johnson in a suit...couldn't tell which one. Either way, it shows lack of discretion by the Commish. He suspended JO because him punching that guy was shown a million times, not because he actually deserved to be suspended. AND NBA players aren't allowed to leave the bench during any altercation so still. If it had been a fan that ran on the court to attack someone, I wouldn't doubt that Stern would suspend the players that left the bench.

    24: Season 5

You know, I rewatched this first episode and something struck me. David Palmer knew he was about to be killed. I don't know why yet, but I am pretty sure that Palmer knew. Dennis Haysbert is a great actor and I am sure that all that stuff on his face before he was shot wasn't by accident. If you look at that scene again and the look on his face and how he approached that window, its like he knew. Why he would sacrifice himself like that...I don't know. But I am calling it.
  7. Okay, I just saw a match with Shelton and his MAMMA. Is that fucking Thea Vidale? What the fuck? I personally can't remember ever seeing in WWF history them using a known actor to play a role. They have officially shattered and buried kayfabe forever with this one.

    This week in the NBA

You're kidding me right? No not at all. Seriously, there has to be some type of common sense taken into consideration. Automatic suspensions are always stupid to me. Stu Jackson is making way to much money to just throw out automatic suspensions. Each case should be looked at for what it is. This situation and the Ron Artest are not even slightly comparable. Artest ran into the stand to fight because someone threw a cup at him. Antonio Davis went in the stands to do what any person of sound mind and decency would do. He did what is to be expected. He believed his wife and kids to be in danger, and any person that wouldn't do the same is a coward and a dispictable human being honestly. That is the first thing that should be considered. Second point is the manner in which he handled it. If he went in swinging for the fences, sure, suspend him. But he went to difuse the situation and most importantly HE LEFT WHEN SECURITY GOT THERE. By dishing out this suspension and their stupid "NO REASON EVER TO GO IN THE STANDS" rule, the NBA is saying that if player sees his wife being assaulted and no security is there to remedy the situation, he should do nothing and watch. I don't belive that anyone can look at that and say it is slightly sane or a believable policy. Never ever rules don't apply anywhere in the world. The law says you should never ever speed and if a officer attempts to pull you over, you do so immediately. But if you have a critically injured person bleeding in the back seat, the police aren't going to give you a ticket when you get to the hospital and arrest you for failing to pull over. Circumstances are taken into consideration. Even in the realm of sports, and while this is not a great example, it does show that other sports have common sense that the NBA seems to not have sometimes. Michael Pittman was not fined or ejected from the game against the Redskins even though he violated a league rule about throwing a punch. Why? Because they took into consideration that someone spit in his face to cause it. The NFL basically sent a message that spitting in another players face is unexcusable, and that retaliation should be expected if you do so. The NBA on the other hand says watching your family be assaulted should be your role. MLB didn't suspend all the players that stomped the shit out of those drunkards that beat up on a old first base coach. If it were the NBA, they would have suspended every player that left to go and help the guy out instead of watching him get beaten until security made it over. I don't understand how Davis going and making sure his family was safe until security got there is any different than Fred Jones going into the stands to get Ron Artest out of that mess he made. How can you possibly make a guy give up 700,000 dollars in salary over a decision that ( and I don't think you can possibly argue otherwise) you make 100% of the time, no question. Running in a crowd of fans to fight a guy who threw a cup at you is not even remotely close to this situation. Thats just plain stupid. And if nothing else, I want people to remember that a week after the Artest incident, some dumbass "fan" threw a quarter and hit allen Iverson in the face, no doubt trying to get him to rush the stands and get him suspended from the league. Stern and Jackson should consider what message these "no tolorance" rules towards players and I hope to god some sick asshole isn't going to be thinking "hey, if I go and shove Dwayne Wade's wife during a playoff game, he will probably come up to protect her and get suspended for the series and my team would win."

    This week in the NBA

All kind of stories are all over the place. There are reports that the guy yelled at Davis's kids because they were blocking his view, the wife got in his face about yelling at his kids, and thats what it was. The only thing that matters to me is that Davis was suspended 5 games, and that is simply bullshit.

    College Hoops 2k6

Yeah, but most of them end up sucking. I have 3-4 five star recruits that are near their senior year, and ratings have never gone over 77. Basically, they aren't all they are cracked up to be sometimes. Like I said, I build charisma and discipline for the first two years of coaching, and start looking at the guys ratings. The more A's and A+'s I see as Juniors, the better, then call, email every week. Then I attend the camp they are in, then I concentrate on one or two guys, no matter how many scholarships I have and just spend the max amount of points on them each week. Alot of times, they will stop considering other schools and you will be the only one there. The guys with A+'s across the board will more than likely end up top of the class recruit with a 85+ rating as a freshman. The real key is focusing on guys and not trying to grab 4-5 great recruits. Getting one great recruit and 3-4 guys that are good at certain aspects ( a shooting guard that can only shoot, a fast point guard that might not be able to score, a big man with a A+ hustle and/or rebounding) will make your team great and of course lead to more recruits later.

I am pretty sure that the "written" part was just sounding that way. I am pretty sure that the conversations would be backed up by a voice recognition software and printed.

The thing is, is Walt being a "mole" really that shocking? I mean the guy went behind Logans back to try and get Jack killed last year. I say "mole" because I think that Logan knows a hell of a lot more than being put on. I don't trust that guy.

Detroit just doesn't match up that well against the Jazz. They have a big point guard to get physical with Chauncy, that freak of nature AK-47, Memht Okur is a damn good rebounder that has the ability to take guys out of the paint...they just match up well.

    TRUTH

See, I personally believe that the Truth ads are run by a Tobacco company and this is the reaction they hope to get. While I don't think that they will make any sane person go smoke, it will make people associate anti smoking legislation and comments to these annoying fuckers. And I guarentee you that ads like these make those that are already smoking even more annoyed with people trying to get them to stop. I can't imagine any of these ads actually making anyone NOT want to smoke and I can't think of any advertising agency that would think that people not smoking would be the result of these things.

Dawn Marie files complaint against WWE

So maturnity leave doesn't register to you, huh Buffy? No company can FIRE a employee for getting pregnant. They can give them leave, and if they can't return after that period of time, then you can replace them.

I have only been grabbing guys with A's across the board first. I got a shooting guard with A+ across the board. The best thing about this year is being able to recruit the guys as a junior. I have them pretty interested already and then I just go for the top recruit of the classes. Its been easy so far, because I only have one senior per year, but I am only one year away from the mass exodus into the NBA/Senior year that will leave me without 8 players. I haven't grabbed a world player yet.

They have got to get some guys back from injury. I wish they would have played the dude they signed to the 10 day though. He is a sick shooter, 6'8, and they definately could have used someone else when guys started getting in foul trouble and fouling out (Nash/Diaw).

Marcus Vick gone from Va. Tech

NNNOOOOWWW you can say he is Laurence Phillips part two. At least Clarrett and Phillips waited till they had gotten a chance in the league before they pulled guns on people. Whatever reason he might have had, it is just plain stupid to put yourself in that situation. He just got knocked down to practice squader or CFLer

Releasing players doesn't open up scholarships though. It just makes them add another sucky walk-on.

But don't you think that if you did that for most of the big programs colleges, you would have similar results when it comes to getting in trouble? Not saying V-Tech wouldn't be hanging with the worst of them from that list, but seriously, ITS COLLEGE. the stupid to smart ratio around them is 10:1.

You can say that about college in general, though. Still, that doesn't give players carte blanche to fuck up. Oh no doubt, it doesn't, but college athletes are fully aware that the school needs them to secure that bowl game or that tournament bid as much as they need the university for a education or exposure to the bigs. That knowledge, I believe has led to alot of the problems that athletes get into today. Virginia Tech just took a major step towards taking that thought out of the heads of their student athletes, but unfortunately there are just far more schools that are handcuffing their coaches and staff because put those bowl bids first...and second....and third... There is just WAY to much money at stake.

We aren't on scholarship at a public university and serving as one of its most visible faces. I don't hold athletes to any higher standard than I hold anyone else. Scholarship athletes? Yes. That's a fantastic opportunity and someone who fucks it up so regularly doesn't deserve it. While I do agree with you, the fact that universities make millions of free dollars off the athletes takes the edge off the argument. Yeah, the university gives them a great opportunity, but their reasoning behind it is purely financial, and what they get back is a hell of a lot more than what they gave up.

In other words, free torrents of NBA games will be available the day after the event. Why would you want a game a day after it ended...unless something freaky happend like Kobe's 62 or someone getting in a fight...which would probably be editted out.

See thats my thing, I don't see how anyone can see Maurice in this kid yet. Maurice lied to the cops to try and get some money from his stolen car, broke what has been said to be 12 NCAA rules, sued the NFL to get around the punishment, threw his school under the bus in what alot of people say were blatant lies about how they got him there, came into combines horribly out of shape, still got drafted, then was still out of shape months later, THEN robbed some people in the back of a resturant. Vick partied with high school girls when he was a freshman and got a speeding ticket. I'm sorry but they aren't in the same area when it comes to fucking up in my eyes. If he does something Clarett level stupid, then I will be right there with you, but really, a couple of minor fuckups doesn't put the kid one step away from prison in my eyes.
