I hate hearing about him ALL the time. I'm tired of having him shoved down my throat anytime I watch anything sports or NBA-related. I'm tired of people trying to claim he's better than Jordan (guess what? Jordan never lost a finals let alone get swept!) It has nothing to do with other people liking him. People like Chris Paul, I like Chris Paul. I've been told Lebron James is the best player in the NBA since he was in HS. I'm tired of it. I react badly when someone is crammed down my throat. You dislike him because he is arguably the best player in the world. In case you didn't notice, when someoen is the best at what they do, they are usually talked abotu alot. The throat cramming of the Celtics have been just as big since people handed them the title the day after the trade was made. Boston 3 party, did you guys wear the same thing to work, watching the hoosiers on the bus...they are in just as many commercials as Lebron is right now. The problem people are pointing out your irrational over the top hatred is that you are being hypcoritcal with it. There is nothing wrong with disliking a player, but there is a line when you are a little...insane. You crossed that line. And seeing as you don't dislike the guy because of him, but more because he is a talked about player, thats hardly enough reason to go to insane hate level. At worse, you have to admit you are kinda extreme dude.

What the hell are you guys bitching about. he got the ball stripped and jumped into lebron like a moron. If nothing else that was a lose ball foul. The walk, yeah, but that was a good call.

This is just another reason why that dumbass age rule in the NBA needs to be gone. People have made millions of dollars off of OJ Mayo in the last few years. Its BS that all this hubbub over him recieving what amounts to a minimum wage job.

The best fix for the flopping would be for the refs to not call it. If a player flys like he just got shot out of a cannon, don't call it. that simple. If a player takes a simple bump on a back down and hits the deck like he got punched in the face, then don't call it and let the offensive guy turn around and shoot the wide open shot. They have been calling it less though and thats good. But last night...in the third, things got plain silly.

I still haven't played it online.

So after of month of living off of fast food and subway pizzas from the hospital cafateria, I am am really out of shape. So I ...um..."bought" the Power 90x program I saw a infomercial for the other day, and I have decided I am going to do it. I am not sure I will be taking a before picture in my shorts like I am apparently supposed to do because....ew. Although Mat did take on that one time and I refuse to be outdone by Matt so maybe. I will update once a week until i finish or until i get lazy and stop doing it. Which ever comes first. Ripper - knows which one will probably come first.

Yeah, but the calls in the 3rd were horrible. that second offensive foul on Paul and two of those fouls on West were just plain ridiculous. Then they went on the usual touch fouls on one end, murder is okay on the other end. I don't THINK the Hornets could have won either way, but that third quarter was atrocious. I am just saying, Lakers and Celtics better watchout.

Yeah...thanks...

Alf, he took that shot because he knew the guy had a bad back. There is a reason that moron Jackson is talking about how some old school vets are cheering him on because he went after the injury. And remember when I said that I didn't have a reason to dislike the San Antonio crowd? Cheering on Horry because he injured an opposing player....there is one reason.
-
And mark jackson cheers him on.
-
Oh Robert Horry you dirty bitch. That reminds me of the time Kobe had bad ribs and Scottie Pippen would ONLY foul his ribs the whole game. Layup, rib shot, jump shot, rib shot. Stopping the clock...rib shot.

If tonights game is any indication, the Celtics and the Lakers might as well start lubing up now, because the refs are giong to give it to them hard to make some game 7's happen.
-
Yeah, but dude, they were letting hacks go on one end towards the end and calling slight touches on the other. I personally think its not picking a team they want to win, I think teams that have a repuation as being a good defensive of phsyical team gets a lot of rope while teams that are known as not great defensive teams get penalized when they play physical. Thats why the Celtics and Cavs have just been using lariats at the rim in their series and its fine, but the touch fouls are being called against Utah. There definately were some lightly touched him fouls called last night. But be not confused, Utah still should have won. Chucking up 3's for no reason when the game got close with 3 minutes to go is what doomed them.
-
The calls are startign to get to "Fuck you Utah" level here though. Can't call touches on one end not not call hacks on the other here refs. For the most part, this has been one of the better officiated playoffs I can remember though. despite teh shittacular job done in the Utah/Houston series, and some fucking over of the Hornets some games against the spurs (although they have been the games the Hornets won oddly) its been pretty good.
-
Well the Cavs certainly coughed that game up at the line tonight.
-
Yeah there have been some bad calls but for the most part its been the beat the shit out of each other show with the Cavs taking the second half off. Missed freethrows lost this game for the Cavs. 13 missed freethrows.... There have been like 8 fouls that would have been called flagrants any other night, but tonight they let them play basketball. I love it.
-
The Cavs have stopped being as physical for no reason whatsoever. The refs aren't calling it, but only the Celtics have kept it up. Thats just DUMB.
-
I like the officiating in this game. Both teams are getting the shit knocked out of them but they are letting them play.
-
I mean, I remember watching alot of guys in their rookie years...Reggie Miller, David Robinson guys like that, but shit, it just didnt feel like he was that old. Brian Shaw was so important to the Lakers and people forget that alot though. that guy would kill ya.
-
Wait...Brian shaw is forty fucking two years old? What the fucking hell? I remember his rookie year!
-
I have no interest in seeing Detroit/Cleveland again, so I hope the Celts win (I don't think they will) so that I get a new matchup...and probably better matchup. Out west, I think that Lakers/Hornets would be a better series, so I want LA to win(not sure they will though).
-
Can't argue with any of the picks there.
-
Seroiusly, right now, most of the calls tonight are like "Fuck you Hornets...know your goddamned role here."

I truely think that he wanted to coach the bulls. But then, he did the interview. Jerry said he doesn't speak to coaches agents, then told him if he wanted something done quickly, they should stop talking. So basically, he left a team because he felt that a owner and GM were trying to be too controlling and Jerry acted as controlling as possible during a interview making him not want to coach there. I honestly think interviewing with the Knicks was a ploy to get the Bulls to step up to the plate, but then the Knicks told him they would do whatever to the roster to make it work for him. So basically Jerry just fucked up. I also find it funny/pathetic that the Suns blocked Mike from interviewing with the Raptors. I am a Suns fan forever, but robert Sarver buying the team is one of the worse things ever.

They blatantly lied about the extent of the taping. There should be more punishment. And I don't understand how the fact they edited the tapes later means it wasn't used during games. Thats one hell of an assumption. Point is, they cheated. they have been caught cheating. they said they only cheated this much, now it is proven they cheated even more than that. As for the superbowl walk through being bullshit, How does that mean it wasn't tapped and that the reporter should be fired? Is he only allowed one source? I don't expect anything to happen because it calls the integrety of the game into question, but I am still disgusted by the blatant cheating that the Pats used.
