He started because he was Bobby P's boy. I am not sure he will make it out of a preaseason being the starter. My hope is that DJ Shockly will come back from his Knee injury and play well and steal the starting spot. Of course they will then trade him because they drafted Matt Ryan and he deserves a chance to be the bust he will be.

The falcons traded their best defensive player, their pro bowl tight end, their best defensive lineman, have a unproven QB, a new head coach, a shaky secondary. And Joey Harrington will be the starting QB again. They aren't winning 6 games. Also, this whole Cedric Benson story is getting pretty big for a underachieving, probably was giong to get cut in another season running back, huh?

Nate Robinson is about as 5'9" as me. And that is compliment to what he can do on the court. That dude is 5'7 tops. And thats stretching it. Yeah, he is better than Boykins because while he isn't great defensively, he doesn't suck ass either, but Boykins also is tough to post up because he is strong as a fucking ox. And Boykins does score off jumpers but most of his points are those floaters in the lane. Nate finishes right at the rim. But 2 points is two poitns and both guys are likely to go off for 20+ points on any given night, but niether are exaclty point guards and can hurt you on just as many nights as they help you.

Nate Robinson appears to be a dynamic player because of who he plays for. Much like Earl Boykins can take over a game at points, so can Nate. But I don't think you would call Earl a dynamic player either. Niether are as good on defense as they should be. I don't mean getting posted up either, I mean staying in front of the ball. Nate gambles on passing lanes alot, so he does get steals, but that isn't exactly good defense either. I will say that he will crash the offensive boards like no ones business and could be a spark for some people, but dude is just to in his own world too often and that would piss a coach off. Especially one that has other options at his position.

Its funny to watch San Antonio start their San Antonio stuff. They aren't beating the team on the court so they are starting to throw little forearm shivers after plays, extra shoulders being shoved in and little elbows in the chest. In the next few minutes, Bruce Bowen is going to be on Chris Paul even though he has been getting abused and we all know why. They are trying to make the youngins lose their composure. Which I have no problem with as long as they don't get dirty with it.

I honestly don't think San Antonio can play any better than they just played. And they are down 4. well...two.

I thnk Marcus Banks is underrated because Bill Simmons said he sucks. He is a monster defensively, can hit the open jumper, is ridiculously fast in the open court...honestly, the differences between him and Rondo are minimal. He is a better shooter than Rajon.

Nate would probably not get much playing time though. Mike has a short leash for point guards. It took years before he let Barbosa stay on the court and he would pulled Marcus Banks at the slightest prompting. Nate with about one or two of those "Nate being Nate" plays would have his ass on the bench towel waving.

Well, they had their best chance so far, but why is it everyone is talking about the great Celtics D on lebron but pretending that Ray and Paul were just shooting open jumpers. Both teams played a decent defensive, horrid offensive game. If nothing else, we have learned that Lebron evetually figures things out and thats when he gets scary good. The real question is, can Paul Pierce stay out of foul trouble guarding Lebron. I think that Doc might be better served moving KG to center, Paul to the PF(its not like Ben Wallace is a offensive threat) and using Posey to guard Lebron most of the game. They would play "smaller" but Ben Wallace isn't a legit big, so you can get away with it.

Yeah, the Raptors are obviously the best team for him. With Ford/Calderon as his Nash, Parker as his Bell, Moon as his Marion, Bosh as his Amare (only he tries to play defense) and Bargs as the type of Center he wished he could have had in Phoenix.
