Yeah. My best friend who joined the Marines in 1998 is black. When I met him in '94, and until he went to boot camp, he had long jerry curls (like gangsta style) and he jsut looked "blacker" than black. But when he spoke, he sounded white. If someone were to speak to him on the phone, they'd think he was white. He did a lot of things that were perceived to be white in origin. Such as reading comic books, getting into video games, watching sci-fi, etc. Most of his girls were white, although his baby's mother was black. Once, while his uncle was drunk and trying to commandeer the house of the recently-passing grandmother, and my friend tackled him and began punching him, the uncle said, "Get off of me, you devil lover!" But despite all of these so-called "white" attributes, he was still proud to be black. There is a lot of peer pressure involved in doing the things that BL mentioned. Having a jerry curl in 1994 made him white anyway. I mean goddamn. 94? And his uncle was pretty white too, calling him a "devil lover" and all.

Shut up. Nobody here is wishing paralysis on him. Oh okay, so the guy gets a neck injury, half the thread is wishing it is VERY serious so I guess they ment that other outcome that comes from a very serious neck injury...ingrown toenail. Actually, the article stated that, at worst, it would be a concussion. So there was never any possibility as far as we were concerned of paralysis. No it didn't, its said at one point he was thought to have a concussion, went back out, re injured his neck and collapsed when he went backstage, which was responded with basically cheers and the hoping that its serious from some of the posters. LATER it says it was just a concussion.
