No, a black wrestler will never be a big main eventer. Everyone that wants to name The Rock has to remember that he WAS hald samoan, and looking at him, you people don't really think black. They think "other". So You throw him ou there with the straight hair, he looks like he has a really good tan. Its all about being able to be univerally accepted in the eyes of the WWE dispite the fact that its been disproven. Ahmed Johnson and Booker T are two cases of black wrestlers that were over enough to hold the title. Ahmed was so goddamned hot at one point, you had to wonder WHY he was the big maineventer. Sure, later he got hurt by breathing too hard, and couldn't wrestle without killing himself, but hey...you know....hey. They got over because they were never mentioned as being black really. I mean think about it. Ahmed was just some intense big guy, then they went with the "Uncle Tom" angle with Farooq, and no one cared anymore. A majority white audience dosen't really care. The WWE will never be able to duck the want to play to stereotypes. And honestly, there are no stereotypes for a half black, half samoan kid....there just aren't. But I dare you to name a black wrestler that they haven't played up the "stereotypical darkie" role with them. I think thats all the writers know how to do. I can honestly imagine a hollywood shuffle esqe writers meeting where they are saying how so and so's character is good....but just not quite "black" enough. I think Vince and co believe that to cater to the minority audience, every person has to be a character from a 70's blaxploitation film. This is what will always stop the black wrestlers from going all the way to the top. I give it 3 months before one of Sheltons homeboys from the hood comes around and he is all GANGASTA. Or Shelton will turn heel and steal the faces car and strip it or something. Its coming and it won't suprise anyone here. The only way a black wrestler will become a big maineventer is if they are not constantly having their race shoved into the forefront, and the WWE will never EVER do that.

That and Baron Davis is a God of a basketball player. Seriously. That guy can take any team to the playoffs. He just can't stay healthy. Its amazing. With the trading the did during this season (picking up Carbarkapa, Tstilisvilli, Davis) they made themselves a deep team.

I get told I am a bad sport about this every year, but fuck that, the shit is stupid and annoying. So today I get to work and they are doing this whole "William, you messed up on this order, the client is really mad, blah blah blahblahblah, this could prompt termination or whatever." So I say okay and go to my computer to find this part, don't find it, tell them that the client is full of shit, I didn't do anything. Apparently they didn't think the joke was going well because a: I didn't seem worried and had this "fuck that client" attitude cause you know...fuck em. and b: ...well...actually I didn't have a B...I just wanted to use multiple points. Well anyway, they keep this shit up for 10 minutes before they say APril fools and I stare at them blankly for wasting 10 minutes of my goddamned time. Last year they called a meeting, which took 15 minutes for everyone to get there so the could pretend annouce the firing of a guy that worked there, did the april fools thing. 15 minutes of my time gone down the drain for a bad practical joke. Bottomline, I am a grown fucking man working and living around grown fucking people. leave this shit to the younguns, or at least come up with a huge joke, but if you are going to do this little bullshit, then fuck it.

How is it BS? They don't think that there should be a war, but they aren't exactly rooting for the women and men to die either. They support the troops(do your job and don't do that whole dying thing) but they don't support the war(don't think the troops should be there in the first place). Makes sense to me. But these people are putting their lives on the line for something they believe in. They are following orders. The whole "we don't support the war, though" is a form of patronization. I see it as more of a gesture of pity than of support. All of the soilders there aren't a hundred precent for the war. I can name about 10 right now. But they signed up to do a job and they have said they are going to do it well because that is what they pledged to do. I think it would be foolish to assume that all the troops support the reason that they are there, but they are doing their jobs and for that they should be commended. If I didn't support the war, I know I would still be routing for the troops to go ahead and win the thing and get back home safely. Yeah, you have your cockasses who will say that they hope the war goes bad for america because we shouldn't be there, but they aren't the ones saying they support the troops and not the war.

Chapplle is a extremely funny standup guy, that Rick James bit was funnier than most anything thats been on television in a while, and the show is good. Kerry Kittles hadn't been hurt in 2 plus seasons and was their best perimeter defender and most consistant shooter. I mean hell, they even didn't retain Anthony Johnson who they could have paid pennies for. I think it was a case of new owner wanting a new team. And I mean, if you aren't going to resign Kenyon, make a run at another FA. You have Jason freakin Kidd on your team, people would love to play with him. But no. they sat on their hands, got rid of all that money in Martin and Kittles, and then looked SHOCKED when Kidd wanted to get traded after turning a team that had been to the finals 2 times in 3 years into basically a rebuilding process.
