If I make 10,000 references about the color orange and one about the color red everytime I give a speech, I can't come back later and say "my speech was about the color red" No, it wasn't. It was about the color orange. Ripper - Praying he doesn't really have to explain that analogy since 1:11 pm. If you say orange as often as you say red, even though your opponents claim you said red constantly, doesn't mean you didn't say orange. -=Mike Okay, just to stop this before I get confused by my own analogy, you can't POSSIBLY be saying that this war was mentioned as a humnaitarian mission as much as it was called defending us from the WMD that Iraq had....you can't possibly be saying that because that is just plain laughable. It isn't even arguable because it simply isn't true. If you mean the same as in he mentioned it at some point whenever it was spoken about, okay, I give you that. But in the sense that 98% of the talk was about WMD to the 2 percent of "other" they are no where near the same.

Oddly I just wrote one of those but I got to the part where my friend JDAWG was getting head from a 15 year old in the back of a cab, and realized how unfunny it was...even from ME.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT!!!! Ripper - Not able to mock Chrono T as much as everyone else since whenever the fuck this joke started.

The point is that he would be changing his dress not because of how he feels about his clothes, but to conform to the image that whites want to have about him. The problem is that his clothes are being seen as too black, not by blacks but by whites and saying "hey, why don't you dress less black". If basically telling a person they are to far down on the "black" side of the spectrum what essentially are they telling him to do by doing away with the things that they consider too "black" about him?

And WMD's were presented as the number one reason. Look, I was and I still am for the war and all, but seriously, anyone pretending that this wasn't presented to the American people as "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and pose a threat to the American people" is just full of shit. That was the reasoning. i personally never believed that, but knew that the result of this war would be removing a horrible person from power. All this "No, no, no, they said WMD's was PART of the reason we were going in" is just bullshit. Just accept that we did something good, but justified it through not completely legitimate means. If they had said, Saddam is killing people, we have to stop him, I am PRETTY sure that people would remember that instead of the constant "WMD" talk being shoved down our throats.

well that was certainly a cute little rant, but it has jack shit to do with what I said. You might as well went on a rant about who had better chemistry with Fred between bubba and grady and it would have been just as revelant. We are not talking about society or dress being indicitive of ones race. We are talking about a poster suggesting that Iverson no longer dress the way in which he does so that he can stop being viewed as a "thug". Seeing as blacks don't call iverson a thug, because, I don't know...we have common sense, him changing his image would be to become non threatning in the eyes of the idiots who look at him and say "thug". Mainly white people. Basically what was being suggested was that he remove all that silly "ethnic" garb and "ethnic" hair do and conform more to what is considered the norm. Who said shit about dressing nice is being white? Dressing to convince white people you aren't a thug and something they would feel threatend by is whitening up your image. Changing to conform to what whites are telling you is wrong with you is whitening up your image. Denzel Washington dresses that way because he WANTS to. Will Smith dresses that way because he WANTS to. You dress to an interview because you are going into a persons business and must adhere to their rules if you want employment from there. Iverson having to change his wardrobe in his everyday life so some dumbass sports reporter doesn't think he is a thug is a completely different issue. Bottomline, iversons number one problem is that he is precieved as too "black" rather people want to admit it or not.

Maybe if he quit giving himself all the credit he deserves and more all the time, others would have time to give him his props.

Fuck you hippie. I said they have only had one bad year recently. Of course, now they look like a rebuilding team. The most important part of this is the fuck you hippie part.

Okafor numbers had been dropping actually. I say Ben should win this thang if nothing else because of the bulls success which he is a major part of. hell, he has basically been their 4th quarter offense in about a dozen games this year.

I love AI, but let's not go that far. He's gotten a few technicals in his day, mainly for bitching about a call/non-call. He's no Rasheed, but he has picked up a few T's. two in a game though? How many times has he been ejected? The only CRIME that Iverson has been convicted of was having a fight in highschool. And thats a great message to the kids. Being a great person in the community, that means jack shit, its you appearance that really matters kids. Iverson doesn't whiten up his image (and yes that is what you are pretty much saying.) therefore he deserves his tag? What ever.

Well not that i have seen you around alot lately but you were the new wave of suckiness for a while there.

In that collect a check and swing a towel behind the bench kinda way.

Boozer is a good rebounder and can bang down low. that is what the lakers are missing. they are a completely perimeter team, and honestly, he and butler score the same and Boozer rebounds better. everyone else in the deal doesn't even matter as they are basically bench players. I think he will make the Lakers better, allowing Odem to move to the SF position with a starting line up of Mihm, Boozer, Odem, Bryant, and Atkins. Thats pretty good.
-
Goddamnit someone is going to explain that to me.
-
Hold up with the dissing on Boozer. Dude hasn't been inconsistant. he got tired. For a long stretch there, he was their ONLY offensive threat and that is not what he was supposed to be coming there for. He played incredibly hard for the Jazz and kinda just gave out. Jerry Sloan was quick to admit as much about them overworking him and making him do things that he shouldn't be responsible for doing.

Maybe I am. Ripper - still not knowing what the fuck that smilie means since 1999

I WOULD say that he has been painted in different light, but when ESPN runs a little story about how Kobe went from the elite(shows images of Magic, Bird, Jordan, Dr. J) in terms of role models to the "bottom" (shows images of Dennis Rodman, Iverson, Sprewell) I say they still push that overall notion about him, only not as openly as they did before.

Okay, everyone that has never gotten in a fight in highschool can throw stones here. Everyone else that has ever gotten in a fight in highschool can say nothing. Only differnce is that because there were more than 5 people fighting, Virginia law calls it gang activity and therefore called for prison time. So if you or you friends have ever gotten in a fight in your history of existance, then you did the exact same thing. Hardly "thug" material. Um, bullshit. Iverson BOUGHT the car. It wasn't HIS car so to speak. He was in the back seat. The gun was found under the passenger seat and the marijuana was in the ashtray. So basically, you are calling him a thug because he was in the car with someone that had a gun in there? 'Kay... How this at all has anything to do with him, don't know. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. He recorded a rap CD. Get d fuck over it. He said nothing that isn't being said by others in hip-hop. Yeah...that thug. Oh, now this is the funny one. ESPN jumped all over it. At the end of the day when it was all shown to be Bullshit, ESPN barely reported it. Real story. He hAS A FUCKING KEY TO THE APARTMENT THAT HE IS PAYING HIS COUSINS PART OF THE RENT ON. He goes to the place and his roomate and friend are there, Iverson is looking for his wife. They leave. Roomate calls his lawyer and after 2 hours of talking with him calls Iverson and says if he doesn't pay him so much money he will call the cops. Apparently Iverson said go fuck yourself, cause he calls the cops. Says. "He didn't pull a gun, but it looked like he had a gun in his sweat pants". The other guy there says "I didn't see any gun in his sweat pants" ESPN reports "Iverson pulled a gun on two men" The guy said that Iversons cousin said that his wife said that he (iverson) kicked her out the house naked. ESPN reports this he said she said shit as fact, when all parties (including neighbors) denied this happened. ESPN put his mug shot as lead story on the site and on sportscenter. When it was all dropped after the judge called the case "embarrasing and laughable" it was a sidenote on the website. FUCK ESPN. They have their favorites and they have there ones they will protect more than anything. All you can say about iverson is that he got in a Fight in Highschool and he was in a car where a gun and marijuana was(and he passed the drug test given to him later that week by the way). Yet he is the thuggiest thug to ever thug according to stupid people. George Bush's record is longer than that. Ripper - waiting for the OUTRAGE over Shaq having a song with a rapper talking about killing Madd Skillz and his family since 2004.

I think Williams was a big name in the Mid South days, in the late 80s and through the early 90s. He had his moments in U.S. wrestling. Williams was pretty much past his prime when the Brawl for All event came around. His most famous moment to me is coming in that cruiserweight battle royal in WCW and injured THE ENTIRE CRUISERWEIGHT ROSTER IN 5 MINUTES. I mean he just came in and legit injured like 5 guys....in a row.

Bullshit. Rhyno was having very good matches including carring Jerhico to a damn fine match after Chris knocked himself silly, and a VERY underrated match against the Rock before he injured his neck. he came back from neck surgery and wasn't the same performer. Not saying that he should have been upper card, but I was arguing the "one move" thing. Thats so goddamned laughable I don't think I even have to respond...but I will. For those few months when RVD was the ME on RAW or Smackdown, the matches were great. I don't understand how a guy can have great match after great match and have people say that "he had a exposable offense". At the end of the day, he had great matches with Taker, Angle, Guerro, Benoit, (did he ever even wrestle HHH?)....basically every top card wrestler he had damn good matches with except Brock. So to review, He has damn good matches with every maineventer, is over with the crowd, and this proves he ISN"T ME material....riiiiiigghhhhtt. He didn't go dead because of new blood. He went dead because this guy was the very definition of burial. He came in....the crowd was ready to blow for face Taz. They made him a jobber...the crowd was still ready to blow for face Taz. They turned him into a joke. The crowd was STILL ready to blow for face Taz. They put him in the ring with SUPER OVER AUSTIN. The crowd was STILL ready to blow for Taz more. At one point, Taz was more over than the entire roster outside of Austin, RVD and Rock. And this with no wins, no anything. Just plain presense. A retarded 3 year old could have written a program to get the guy to ME status, but not he WWE. They thought the best thing to do with Taz was have Austin squash him after beating him with a belt and take him off TV for a while. Can't disagree with anything else there.

Oh what the fuck EVER. And it was 0.04 second(s?), by the way. FISH SWISH~ That ball is long gone, my friend. I won't call this a disgrace because it was one of the great finishes in basketball history. But still...the clock started late. It was impossible. The biggest disgrace would be the Lakers/Kings game 6 with the most blatant one sideded officiating I have ever seen in my life, and I have watched alot of basketball. That really did disgust me.

I think he means, "now that Bush BECAME president, I think he's a historic figure and that's why I'm releasing these tapes." Mike's right in that Bush does himself a service by being consistent in what he said in private and what he said in public. I don't necessarily think these tapes help Bush, but I wouldn't say they hurt him. The worst thing seems to be the marijuana use, but everyone already knew that and no one really cares. I guess some people might be upset that this doesn't reveal him to be the conniving evil genius we're supposed to believe he actually is in private. Bush and genius have never been in the same sentence without being pure sarcasm.

But only for a day. A gun fight....that would kick ass. And I count putting yourself in a position where there is no chance to live counts as a suicide. I mean if cops have guns pulled on you and you pull out a knife and start running at one of them, I think that counts as suicide. So yeah....gun fight. One on like 60.
