Oh for christ sake. EVERY thing isn't a conspiracy. I think that the NBA lottery style is better due to teams would definately tank games to get there. Not exactly the players, but the GM and uppermanagement would trade and release or even bench players to miss the playoffs. (two years ago, Phoenix traded Kidd, Cliff Robinson yet were still in the 8th place at teh allstar break. The new Ninja Turtles games is pretty much like the older arcade game...with the single most annoying sounds in the history of gaming. Are you really prepared to say that the way we speak natrually isn't something to be appreciated? Don't get me wrong, a writer that is clearly in touch with the English language is something to appreciate and admire. But I also think, and I might be alone in this, that the ability to capture nature, capture how we actually express our feelings is a extremely difficult, and when done correctly, beautiful thing. So few people can actually do it(and once again, I'm not saying I did) because nature is the hardest thing to capture in any form of art. Limitations on what is art and what is poetry just really annoy me.

Who makes structurely correct thoughts when expressing feelings? The thing is written in the perspective of a selfish, whiney, love-lorn guy, not in the words of a English scholar. He doesn't speak as if he is in LOVE with the english launguage because *gasp* most people are not. If I write something in the perspective of a HUMAN BEING, it most likely isn't going to be perfectly balanced speech. It's going to have stumbles, studders...hell when I first wrote it, I had him use words incorrectly while trying to sound intelligent. Proper form and love for the language have their place, but not in writing the dialouge or thoughts of a normal human being. It wasn't meant to be beautiful and make you appreciate the English language. Natural speech is the hardest thing to acheive and while I am not saying I did a good job there, it would probably require more stammering and such to really illustrate the feelings of someone in that situation. That would go even more against form. I can say this. As a artist, nothing is worse than those people that say anything creative sucks if it doesn't follow certain Rules. Its called art. If you like it, fine. If not, fine. But to call anything crap that doesn't fall into the area of "right" art and "wrong" art is true ignorance. Not saying that anyone here is like that, but there are some tip-toeing the line.

Lakers defense has been uninspired the entire year. They aren't a good defesive team. Gary Payton can not guard guards that are quick. Bottom line. They all own him now. He can guard PGs that come off screens for jumpers and the guys that have that slow back down game(Cassell). They can't guard at the PF, and if you have a center that can hit the jumper, you pull shaq from the paint. Check the record man, they struggle against teams with the formula and the west playoffs are full of them.
