Thinking over things more, I've noticed that Randy doesn't really like John. I guarantee you that if another finalist did what he did Randy would be all "you made it your own, dawg". But since John doesn't do traditional "pop", it's "boring" because he's "doing" Sinatra and Martin but isn't Sinatra or Martin. But, with Simon backing him and the female:male ratio being 2:1, John has time to prove him wrong, and hopefully educate the audience about styles other than what ClearChannel wants you to hear. It could be that Deano only gave a so-so performance last night. Randy was ABSOLUTLELY right last night about Dean and Frank being more than just laid back, they had amazing vocals. Fake-Dean from AI doesn't have much voice strengh and it sounds like he is struggleing with the note most of the time. Not to say he isn't good, but there are at least 4 of the others that have better voices than him.

I find it more annoying when in crowded or full parking lots, people that are clearly ready to leave a parking space sit there as long as possible for no reason other than the fact that they see you waiting for the space. I also hate old people in general. And cows. You know what I hate. I'm on the bus right, and this kinda large lady gets in ahead of me. Apparently she doesn't have to go very far so she pays and just stands at the front of the bus. The problem is there is someone already standing on the opposite side of her. So their two stomachs are about 2 inches from each other as they block the entire way onto the bus. AND STAND THERE LIKE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSE TO GET BY THEM. The bus isn't crowded, go get a seat or get out of the fucking way...either one. That goes for all the fuckers that have to walk shoulder to shoulder with their 4 friends down the sidewalk. In no way was it his fault that the papers didn't get filed, so he has every right to want to be able to get to free agency which he has earned by playing hard and being in the league for enough years to reach this point. No, the agent is the one that's most to blame, but one would think that TO would have asked him every day "why the fuck haven't you submitted the request?". There's absolutely no reason to wait until the last minute, and if I was TO I'd have been on his ass 2 weeks BEFORE the first date that I could opt out and tell him to file immediately. Then, the first day that I could have been freed, I'd have asked him if he did it. And again the next day, and the next day, etc. The agent fucked up, but TO was an enabler that allowed him the breathing room to fuck up. What I am saying is that is the equivilant of the police cheif calling all the police officers to make sure that they put bullets in their gun. It is the equivilant of you you waking up during a surgury to make sure that the doctor is using the correct instrument. The agent(and in my examples doctor and cop) are paid to do a job, and when they are hired it is a resonable assumption that they MIGHT do it. Why would TO call everyday, or everyweek to check and see if his agent did a common sense thing. Hindsight is 20/20 and you all are acting like what happen was at all foreseeable. TO's job was to hire a professional to handle his contract negortiations. He paid the man. He told him his wishes. Not only is it out of his hands then, it is laughable to assume that anyone would constantly be calling to see if they did their job. Everyone keeps saying that TO bitched and whined, but what are you all suggesting he did? "Okay, I have earned the right to get into free agency and go to a team I would like, but thanks to a long line of bullshit and date changes I got traded to a team I don't want to play for at a pay rate that is lower than my worth....YAY!" Really...are you just saying he should have took it up the ass and played his final 3 years on a contract that wasn't going to earn him the money he could've easily gotten? Thats bullshit. Seriously, there is no reason to be doing 40 in the grocery store parking lot. There is no reason to tear ass through the apartment complex or residential areas. Yes, I know about that. I know that Owens' camp said March 2, and that the NFL said February 21. I mentioned in my post that there was some controversy about the exact deadline date. But my point was that why does the specific deadline date matter so much? If TO was so desperate to get out of San Fran and play for Philly, why did he wait until the very last minute to file this paperwork? Why didn't he do it on Feb. 2, the day after the Super Bowl? Wouldn't that make sense? You avoid any chance of any of this mess happening that way. Why wasn't it done immediately? I just have no sympathy for the guy. We don't know what the arbitrator did/was going to rule (or at least I haven't found any articles revealing that information), but wouldn't you agree that it makes sense that if free agency was so important to TO that he would have taken care of all of this way before either of the disputed deadline dates approached? And they are right, if TO signed a contract, and a few years later the NFL decides to change some league wide rule, he SHOULDN"T have to go with it. If the NFL put on a salary cap, should the players over it be required to take a immediate pay cut, but still play out the years on the contract? I KNOW it would be a better lineup. Payton is not nearly the shooter that Fisher is. He is a slasher that can get to the lane. He ran most of his offense in Seattle from the post using his size to work the other PGs. If you have Shaq on a block, Malone at the top of the lane, and Kobe working for post position, he can do that there. Like I said in the preseason, to get better the Lakers needed a defending PF and a better shooter from the bench. they ended up putting one of their best shooters on the bench and a karl malone who hasn't been a even decent defender in about 3 years now.
