Whoa whoa whoa now. I liked season 7. Its right behind season 6 and in front of season 4 (5,3,2,6,7,4,1 for my order). Its just that the story presented more closure than finality to me...Mostly because they had storylines that were meant to go on to Angel, the fact I knew Spike wasn't dead...just so many things took away from the ending that the show deserved. It was a damn good show, but Chosen didn't leave me satisfied. It left me wanting more. Finales usually leave you satisfied...you know?

Singleton To Develop & Direct Luke Cage Movie
Ripper replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
*smiles blankly* Does John Singleton hate black people? -
And what about the people losing their jobs now. Its not like they are trained for careers in these jobs that don't even exist yet. We're suppose to say "Good job Mr. President" because our kids might have a better economy(if they don't starve to death from mommy and daddy not working...for the greater good of course). I'm sorry, but that is simply one of the dumbest things that I have ever heard.

Its not like Coach Jordan or his assitant Doug Collins gave him the PT to develop. Once he jumped on Gilberts ass and reminded him he is suppose to DISTRIBUTE the ball, he has been playing better.

No it didn't! So what, Buffy has no job, no experience, no money, no records(they were all buried in Sunnydale) and basically no meaning to her life. I know she didn't have to fight anymore and that smile spoke alot...for then. But I bet when she got back on the bus, she was all "Wait...what the fuck am I suppose to do for a living?" Xander, the eyeless construction worker is fucked...oh and the woman he loved was nearly cut in half. Willow was with a whiney bitch that she would probably dump once that bratty shit gets old....Faith I assume goes back to Prison... I don't know...maybe I just don't like open endings. I want to know what happened. It didn't really tie the loose ends...we just go really close to them. Don't get me wrong...I liked Chosen(although it would have 0wned you all if Chris Beck had done the score) but that wasn't a great way to close it all. Andrews visit on Angel helped to close it all out for me, though.

Prince is a better shooter and a better hustle player, which is needed in Detoit. Yes, Melo can score on the block, which the Piston also wanted, but they also wanted a guy that could defend the big men. From the flashes of Darko that I have seen, he is going to be a monster rebounder, and is a hustler on Defense. The guy just needs more PT(we know that isn't coming) but he will be solid. Armon Gillium was a BEAST for the Suns, Nets, and a few other teams. Double Double MACHINE. He was alittle more than a role player. The way the draft works is taking the best player you can THAT FITS WHAT YOUR TEAM NEEDS not just the best player. If the Lakers had the number one pick and a ungodly talented two guard was availible and a damn good small forward that wasn't quite as good as said two guard, you take the small forward(this is assuming that Kobe had just resigned for about 10 years and wasn't playing for the State of Colorado Prison team...ALLEGEDLY~!). I can look at those picks and say honestly, nearly all of those teams picked the best player for their team at that time.

Okay so after reading over that and from what Mike said, this whole, outsourcing jobs helps the economy is dependant upon new job creation...Now...which part of this equation has been missing during this presidency? I don't see how one can work without the other.
-
Yeesh. You know, most economists will ALSO say that outsourcing of jobs is vitally important for an economy. Don't you think there was considerable bitching from buggy manufacturers when cars were introduced? Okay, could someone explain this logic to me? By taking jobs away from American and sending out of the country, it leads to a better economy for Americans....yeah...I don't get it. Like at the company I work for now, about 100 have been laid off as they are sending their entire call center to India. How in the fucking hell is that helping these people who are losing their jobs? Discussed here earlier. Maybe if you weren't, you know, out having a life and not spending your time here you would have seen it. I'm always doing shit like that. My fault.

If its a Angel apperance in the last ep of Buffy style thing, then I am cool with it. 5 minutes tops. Angel has its own characters that it needs to wrap up and put a close too. Hopefully better than Buffy did.

Good.....Lord.... I often wondered what it would take to get a piss poor president re-elected...I think I am starting to see.. Jesus...someone get Edwards back in the race. If Kerry keeps calling himself black and believing bullshit, he might be able to make a comeback. Good Lord.

Chris Rock,Steve Martin Get Comedy Pilots from FOX
Ripper replied to MrRant's topic in Television & Film
and then it went to UPN The fact anyone picked that up in syndycation amazes me... um...at first it wasn't just syndicated. When ABC dropped it UPN actually made Brand Spanking New episodes of it. I think the show has finally been put to death though. Really? I could've sworn it was dead by the time it got to UPN. The wife on the show moved on the the critically acclaimed Will Smith Show with other soon to be Oscar nominated actors and actresses, Lisa Raye and Dwayne Martin. D.L Hugley went on to grow his hair...and...well...thats about it. Maybe they did get a season or two on UPN...they have done worse. -

Oh what the fuck ever. If a white artist listened two and respected the classic Motown sound, which inspired them to make music that fits into that catagory, then they would just as much right to be up there as a black person. Every white person that does prodominately black music isn't Elvis. Thats like saying that if there were a show for a mostly rock music label, which would be prodominately white written, started by a white guy and blah blah blah, that ...well since this is hypothetical land... Jimmy Hendrix shouldn't be invited....if we ignore the whole dead thing.... Not comparing Jimmy Hendrix to Justin Timberlake (Jimmy couldn't balance on the end of a table like Justin did in the "Cry Me A River" video, now could he?)* but to say he should be disqualified because of the race of the predominant figures of the Company is different than his is ridiculous. And once again...some small group made the statement...I really, REALLY doubt that ANYONE affiliated with Motown gave a shit about Timberlake hosting.

Andy Richter's show sounds like it will be crap...thus Fox will keep it alive since we live in opposite world where you cancel great shows like Andy Richter Controls the Universe to free the star up for a sitcom about quintuplets. And a Chris Rock sitcom...hmm. Lets take a comedian that can't act and give him a show...well....DL Hugley got away with it for years before somebody on ABC watched the show and said "Wow...this show REALLY sucks" so maybe Rock can make a run of it. -
The LA Lakers. Every year they are the "hands down favorites to win the title" and "The title comes through LA". Am I the only one that noticed that San Antonio won the fucking thing last year. Beating the Lakers?

Calling Ludacris a gangsta rapper is like calling R. Kelly a gospel singer because he said something about god in a song. As fun as it is to pull a lyric or two to prove your point, ludicris is up to 3 albums and noone can listen to those albums and say "Wow, this guy is just talking about drugs and guns..." . Bill is obviously just spouting off at the mouth. I don't even like Ludacris. He is one of the last XXX rappers left (basically, they rap about fucking and find several different ways to talk about it) and I never really cared for that style. But if we are going to start cutting people from commercials for having sexually explict content in their resume, I don't think television commercials would exist. Bill O'Reilly is basically just a hypocrite and a moron, and sadly people listen to and believe him.

Wayman Tisdale- Great player, underated because he spent so many years in Sacramento Len Bias- we'll never know what he could've done. Armon Gilliam- taken by the Suns...one of the great support players in the league...could score(well) rebound and defend. Rick Smits- Yall know Rick Smits was da MAN before the foot injuries. Danny Ferry- Between him at two and Pervis at 1, this has to be the worse one/two pick in lottery history. Gary Payton - Came behind Derrick Coleman I think...the right pick for the team, Hall of Famer. Good pick. Kenny Anderson - the shoulda beens on this guy will alway be with him. A solid point his whole carrer though...just not as good as he should have been. Alonzo Mourning - Da MAN for Miami until the unfortunate kidney thing...good pick. Shawn Bradley - Tee-hee... Jason Kidd - Is milwalkee still kicking themselves over that Glenn Robinson pick? Antonio McDyess - before the knee went, great player with tremendous upside. Marcus Camby - if he weren't so injury prone, he would be a great workhorse down low.. Keith Van Horn - One of the more underrated players in the league- 17+ and 10 everynight, and they say the guy is underachieveing. Mike Bibby- Good pick...nothing else to add. Steve Francis - See above. Stromile Swift - Underated since he plays for the Grizz...solid shot blocker and rebounder...although number 2 might have been a little high. Tyson Chandler - the SECOND he gets to a team with a REAL coach, he will have a break out year. The talent is there, as seen in spurts, but he has never had a decent coach to teach him. Jay Williams - Its raining...this would be the best time to go and try out my new bike...He was destined to be a backup point guard anyway. Darko Milicic - who knows how he will turn out. So basically, outside of Shawn Bradley(who in no way should've come out that high) Stromile Swift and Jay Williams I say almost all of the number 2 picks were solid...you'll alway find someone a little deeper that plays better, but all of this guys could be justified coming at number 2.

I think it was more of anticlimatic endings to the sub plots instead of plot holes in season 7. They built up Giles not touching anything for week and then.....he just happend to not touch anything...he caught the ax. They have this big, SHE WON"T CHOOSE YOU~! thing with Dawn...big, RIGHT?....no...it was the fact that Buffy wouldn't chose for her to fight with her in the big battle.... The only drop in continuity I can think of was the total badassness of the Uber-vamps earlier in the season, and Anya taking out 3 of the with a friggin sword in the finale. People can argue that the amulet was a big ass plot device they thought of at the last second(and the Scythe now that you think about it) but the amulet was part of a Angel storyline, and when tied together with what Lindsey was trying to do, makes PERFECT sense...(it was actually meant for Angel to wear, Spike got it, so he changed his plan a little). The Scythe...well...it was a means to end the show I guess, and I can understand that gripe(it was there the WHOLE fucking time and NOBODY mentioned the fucking thing that would have helped alot over the past years) but hey...I've seen lazier writing.
