My thing is, it barely counts as a fight to me becaue it was more of some swinging, then talking...a couple of more swings...more inaudible girl screeching about "BUT YOU SAID SHE WAS A BITCH!!!!!" then more open handed swings that didn't hit anything. I am sorry but a one on one fight should do more damage than this SHOCKING BEATING i get what you are saying, the whole 6-1 thing. But once again, there wasn't 6 beating up on one girl at a time. If it was one on one 6 seperate times, that is still fucked up but not exactly the same thing. I do think we are all arguing the same thing though. We are all giving the girls a couple of years in juvie, but anything more is silly, as is the outrage and the I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD EVER HAPPEN. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING SO VIOLENT IN MY 35 YEARS!!! (yes I know he said involving children and a video camera, but I had to edit it out to make a point.)

Its not like the best defenses have been winning the series. People tend to confuse low scores for good defense when really its all about pace. The Pistons and Spurs had low scoring games not because thei were such defensive juggernauts that they could score on each other. They both are grind it out teams that score deep in the shot clock and probably pass up 2-3 good shots in favor of a great shot in the flow of the offense. These same teams that are so amazing defensively some how manage to give up 120 on a team that runs alot. They might still win, but when the other team pushes the pace, they have to follow suit. The team that wins will be the one that can grind it out and push the pace. And thats where you will find all the champions. Heat - Wade, Williams, Posey pushing the pace, Haslim, Shaq and nice pick and roll in halfcourt when it slowed down. Spurs - Parker, Manu when pushing the pace, Duncan when slowing it down. Pistons - the whole damn team when pushing the pace, the whole damn team when slowing it down. Lakers - Kobe and the guards pushing the pace when ever possible, Shaq and the triangle to slow it down. Keep going back and you will keep finding it. Diversity whens championships in the NBA. Not defense. You can't be Nuggets bad defensively, but you can be average. Because that is what a great offense will do to any great defense anyway. Render it average.

Fighting people because they talked shit about you is what kids have ALWAYS done. Hell, there were episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver where Opie or Wally got in fights because so and so said something about them. It was an expected part of america. Now, people get in a fight, we must find the flaws in society that allowed for our children to act in such a way. They are acting like small, immature humans. And according to the cops, they took turns fighting her (well, beating her up since she didn't fight back). So while that is still wrong, its not like it was a jumpin beat down. I understand what you mean by letter of the law, this wasn't just a fight or beatdown. But using technicallities to fuck up a childs life when they didn't even fuck up anyones life is wrong. If they killed the girl, someone lost something, so go for a harsher sentence. If the girl could never walk again, lost her sight, was seriously injured, then go for a stiffer sentence. I don't find alot of comedians funny that are considered legends but I think Cedric the Entertainer is a hilarious standup guy. Its comedy. there is nothing universal about it. There are shades of grey when it comes to malicious intent; their intention wasn't to fuck her up irreperably or kill her or anything, their intent (and it was malicious in my book) was to beat her and post it on the internet. My first thought when I saw the video: Those girls throw some weak-ass punches. If I was going to film a beat-down and post it on the internet, I'd probably work on my punches before doing so. My second thought: Man, with those weak fighting skills, those girls are going to be some butch's 'wife' about 5 minutes after they shut the cell doors. They lured her into the house she was living in? Really? I mean, when you lure someone somewhere, can it reallly be were they were going in the first place? she got home, got in a argument with the girl living there and some other chick, went into the bedroom and had another argument with another girl, they fought she got knocked out. So maybe you are right. Its not a fight. In a fight she would have gotten kicked in the head a few times while down. They definately wouldn't have waited for her to wake up. It was more of a group smacking around by some dumb chicks that thought they were tough. Not saying that these girls are a bunch of saints or that they aren't a bunch of spoiled bitches because of how they acted when arrested. I am saying that sending a 16 year old to jail for life on this is ridiculous. She should be in Juvie until 18, give her another 2 years in real jail and send them on their way. I mean jesus, you can run a toddler over and flee the scene and get less time. THIS is supposed to be so shocking that I am supposed to be in support of life, or hell...10 years is too much, in this case?

I am just saying that the whole case screams the ridiculous pussification of society right now. They didn't beat her up to put it on youtube. They beat her and and then were going to put it on youtube. if youtube didn't exist, they were going to beat her up. It would have been a fight. The cops, the parents and the media are on this whole 'What in the world is wrong with kids today? Its the internets and its bad influence causing this." This group of them beat up the girl, yes and they should be punished with some juvie time that it warrents, but come on...LIFE? None of these girls should see more than a couple years of juvie at worse for having a fight. This wasn't even a BAD beating. She wasn't really beat up that badly. First, according to the story, they took turns beating her up. She didn't get jumped. They fought her one on one...all 6 of them. Should it be punished, yes? Was it a horrific gang beating that left her bloodied? No. It was a bunch of yelling, some punches, more yelling, more punches...a fight. No different than the other of 1000's of fights. And honestly why is it everyone randomly gets so shocked over a fight every now and then. For some reason everyonce in a while, this SHOCKING video of some white girls fighting makes major news. Ignoring the thousands of fights that could be found online since the other SHOCKING video.

What? How do you all look at that and see life in prison? If there was no camera around they would have been hanging out with each other in a month. And she didn't lose an eye or go deaf in a ear. Her mom said she has some blurry vision and some trouble hearing. In other words, she has been in a fucking fight. Shit like this has happened 1000s of times for years. Its a fight. Thats all. No one should be doing life for getting in a fucking fight. If it was a REAL 6-1 beat down and she had serious injuries, then fine, talk about a stiffer fine, but life for some scraps and bruises is ridiculous. that was probably the least vicious fight I have seen. there was no real malicious intent because like I said, they would have FUCKED her up while she was knocked out.

I didn't find Michael over the top in this one. I actually think its cute that Jan really does love Michael though. Her trying to put back together the Dundie after he was gone was sweet. Although, I don't know how they are going to replace the 200 dollar Plasma.

More Movies I have watched recently...since you are all so interested. Cloverfield - I don't get all the bad things I have read from people about this movie. It was what I expected. Its a monster movie shot through a hand camera. A damn good monster movie shot through a hand camera. And if featured Jessica Lucas...so...yeah. There was really nothing to dislike about this movie in my opinion unless you are one of those people that like happy movies. This was a horror...it was a horror movie all the way through. Kick ass movie. There Will be Blood - Jesus christ daniel day lewis is amazing. I could just watch him act for hours and not even care what the movie was about. The music was a bit strange, but it grew on me. the story was kinda there though. Not really leading to anything, but I didn't care. It was just a backdrop to the character of Daniel Plainview. And that fucker that played Eli did an incredible job too. PLUS, I was able to take about 5-6 quotes to use in real life like Bastard from a basket and that throat cutting line. Once again, awesome movie. P2 - I forgot ALL about this movie. It stars Rachel Nicols' breast, that dude from American Beauty, and Rachel Nicoals. It is a pretty good horror. the first death of the film pretty much makes it. It is almost tough to watch but its so cool you can't look away. Great acting, the story was a LITTLE out there, but hey. Awesome move. But the real star of this is Rachel Nicols' breast which give the performance of a life time. They are no doubt the star of this film and I am expecting great things from them in the future.

That was kinda pathetic. I am suprised she needed any medical care. I mean...that was really pathetic. And thats not a case of thinking quick on your feet. That sat there and argued for minutes while she was being slapped. you go for the door if that ONE chick tries to stop you, punch that ONE bitch in the face and leave. If not, at least you fucked up one persons face. I don't know. that was pretty dumb, but nothing worth throwing the book at anyone over. That barely registers as shocking or overly violent to me. I mean, when she got knocked out(probably by accident), they picked her up and moved her to a couch and waited for her to wake up. that doesn't sound like real violence to me. real violence would have included her still getting her ass kicked while knocked out.

The thought that defense wins championships is something people have tried to carry over from football without it being slightly true in the NBA. Fact of the matter is, the only teams you can shut down are teams that suck offensively and have no ability to mix up. Teams that can only shoot jump shots or teams that can only score down low. When it gets into the playoffs, it comes down to outscoring the other team and a few importand defensive plays here and there. Thats why it alwasy annoyed me to watch commentators say the suns couldn't beat the spurs because the spurs are a great defensive team and the suns are not, then the game ends 115 - 113 with the SUPER DEFENSIVE SPURS holding the suns to 55 percent shooting. In the playoffs, its where the team with the best 1-2 players take over and that is what decides the game.

I think I just cried a little bit. Jesus that is one ridiculously hot woman, and that "age weight" is only making her look better. She was kinda thin at one point but now she is just fuller everywhere.

I always figured if I was at the edge of starting a killing spree, someone saying "No Homo" around me would make me cross on over and get it going. Of all the things that piece of shit Camron and his buddies made somewhat popular, I hate that the most. And that is saying alot.

I like Ferrell. I think people here tend to hate people that others like...just because that is what you are supposed to do or something. And then have to be all high and mighty about it as though they are above those that enjoy it. I don't agree with Mik much, but yeah...fuck off. he has some funny movies, he has some that aren't funny. Anchorman was incredible, talledega nights was good for about 15 minutes, I didn't care for blades of glory and I hear that the latest one wasn't good. So the fuck what. Love him in supporting roles and he has the ability to steal a movie, his SNL run ranks up there with some of the greats, like it or not. Yes he is a funny guy, but he has rode one act into oversaturation right now. Stranger than Fiction was awesome, so he should just mix it up more now and again and drop another silly comedy in about 3-4 years.

The over dramatic EEEKK from all the women did give me a slight chuckle, but it also made me think it was going somewhere else with it. The Amercian Tale moment was great, but Cartman ruled this ep. I swear, the SECOND he started cutting his bald spot, I knew where they were going with it. Or at least I figured they were going there. And it was awesome. I loved his angry "HOW CAN I REACH THESE KEEDS!!!" when the kids were ready to give up on cheating.

Please explain how Edwards' policy positions were superior to Obama's, if you will. The only two differences I can think of off the top of my head (as someone who wasn't able to decide between Edwards & Obama while Edwards was still in): a.) Edwards' universal health care plan was slightly different b.) Edwards jettisoned the "War on Terror" ® brand name Oh easy. Edwards suggestions for change for the most part are an adjustment of current policies already in place. Obama gives a list of all these new programs that will be added without providing a actual way of paying for it. In other words, the vast majority of Edwards suggestions for change take sectors that already have funding and change how they do it. Obama says create completely new sectors and pay for it with the mystery money. I don't like EVERYTHING about Edwards. I am not a fan of his Iraq pullout plan which is dumber than Obamas honestly. I like his health plan better, his tax plans better, and love his plan to get every child into college and all they have to do is a certain number of community service hours a week to get it paid for. Simply put, Edwards ideas are more based in reality while when I looked at Obamas blueprint for change, it really just looks like he is throwing alot of money at the problems while at the same time giving less money to the government with his even higher tax cuts. I just don't see it as realistic.
