Well, Carlise was stubborn when it came to game planning. I think he can get you alot of wins in the regular season, but in the playoffs, you have to adjust and he just wasn't willing to do that. Skiles is a dick because he enjoys being a dick to certain players just because. I know, everyone knows I have a passionate dislike for the guy as a coach, but seriously, Skiles has gotten nearly universal condemnation from players in both places he has been. Thats just down right impressive.

Mike woodson wouldn't know offense if it slapped him in the face. He is a horrible offensive minded coach and while he might have some semblace of an idea of how to be a defensive coach, he will do dumb stuff like put Josh Childress on the fastest guy on the court. Mike Woodson is employed because the Hawks ownership is so cheap, they don't want to pay him for his salary and pay another coach. It was reported that Billy knight tried to fire him 3 times but he wasn't allowed.

Man the Hawks Pacers game. Horrible reffing, much more horrible coaching from Mike woodson.

the thing is, Josh smith has a history of playing incredibly against Kevin garnett. Joe Johnson is great against Ray Allen, although he can't really stop him either. Mike Bibby i stough off screens, but he won't be able to stick with rondo off the dribble. Al Horford will murderlate Kedrick Perkins. So whats the problem? Paul Pierce will go ape shit on the Hawks. No one can stop him, he has quick hands which gives Marvin Williams problems. There will be the difference. I think that it will go 5-6 games suprisingly but I don't see the Hawks pulling this out. Oh yeah. And the worse coach in the history of the NBA is on the Hawks bench. If he wasn't completely retarded, Acie Law, Salim Stoudimire, Zaza Pachulia and Jeremy Richardson would play a part in the series. But since he is retarded, they won't.

Yeah I know I know that I am a few days late, but.. I read the Obama Blueprint for change thing and honestly, its really cute, but...um... Americans don't have health care.. I GONNA GIVE THEM HEALTH CARE. Americans pay alot of taxes. I AM GONNA CUT TAXES Education is not where it needs to be: I AM GONNA MAKE IT BETTER. Americans don't have enough money : I AM GOING TO RAISE MINIMUM WAGE EVERY YEAR WITH INFLATION. We need alternative fuels : I am going to DOUBLE the research MONEY. The government spend too much money : I am gonna make them stop it!!! Israeli-Palestinian Conflict? i am gonna make'em love each other in peace. Genocide in Darfur? I am gonna so make the UN stop it (because this will magically become the power of the US president I guess) I am kinda missing the section where he pays for all this shit. He names all this stuff that he will do ,which is cute,, but honestly, this isn't a fantasy game. You have to pay for EVERYTHING that gets done. You can't cut taxes then add a couple of hundred programs costing hundreds of billions of dollars. Oh, and he is going to cut government spending...despite adding ALL these goddamn programs, that will be paid for by less taxes. And his Iraq plan was to just get everyone out in 16 months. Thats not really a plan to me. Immediately just start moving out brigades A: Makes things more dangerous for the remaining military people there and B: Doesn't solve the issue that yes, an immediate pullout of Iraq could have very bad consequences. if you disagree with the war, fine, but I don't see how anyone would think just pulling troops out would be a good thing. I mean, really. He is saying "hey, we will just give Iran stuff to stop beign bad". I am sorry, but his plans are quite utopian. I need realistic change to the problems, not someone just rattling off BS. So laugh all you want, the question still remains. What has he presented to actually make the change. I can do what he has done. Americans are broke. I propose that we give them more money. OOOOOOHHHH, I am progressive. So if anyone would like to point me in the right direction to make me start giving a shit about this guy, then fine.

What is hilarious about this to me is that the police asked the news stations to not release the guys name. Fox 5 got the exclusive on the story and complied. WSBTV said "Fuck that!" and one uped them by releasing the name, police be damned. I hate the media...
-
The law might have something to say about that. Finding illegal drugs with your name on them...not a good thing.

Either he is REALLY stupid or he was set up. there were bottles wrapped in black tape, some saying HGH and others clearly saying steroids and they all looked empty. Plus the WWE contract and memo were together in a crawl space with like 10 needles. I mean, thats just leaving all the evidence. Just plain stupidity or a set up. You can guess which one I am leaning towards.
-
I wasn't looking that closely, but I know they wouldn't have been that sloppy to show the persons name on the bottles or the contract.
-
Good thing they didn't hire a black bodyguard for her that found salvation in the child. Cause there would have been hell to pay then. It would be up to God to judge. He would just arrange the meeting.
-
The aiming system wasn't pure shit and the driving wasn't as bad. That was enough for Saints Row to win me over.
-
I wouldn't say less tested. I would say the worse of the group. They depend on the 3 point shot almost completely and don't play defense like the Pistons, Celtics and they don't have Lebron James. I honestly think if the Hawks caught them in the first round they would go to the second round (that is the only series...well..that and a Wizards series that has no possibility of happening...that i think the Hawks would win in the East). The Raptors should want to play Orlando because they play their style of basketball, only Toronto is more equipped in the playoffs with Boshs ability to score in the half court and Fords ability to break down a defense.
-
oh but it was a shitty segment on TV too. Did catch my interest right as I was about the turn off the TV though
-
All of the items were stashed in a crawl space in the attic. There were the steroids and a lot of needles....and a WWE contract and memo about the dress code. Just seems...odd. The person keeping their contract in there. But yeah...this is a pretty "who gives a fuck" story right here.

Technically I am getting some suite tickets for the probably 2 playoff games that will take place at Philips Arena. (although I honestly believe that the hawks will win one and maybe even two games against the Celtics)
-
I actually want the suns to be in the 6th spot and grab the Lakers in the first round and not the Jazz. I think the Jazz is a much tougher matchup. I dont like them losing to playoff teams by only scoring 9 points in the 4th. I think Nash shot too much (how often do you say that?) and that D'Antoni left Amare on the bench too long. But its just one loss. Still would have been a nice win.

One NBA award is coming up that will have a hot contested finish but won't go to who I want to have it. Coach of the Year. Sure, it will probably go to Scott or Rivers, but jesus tapdancing christ, can someone give the goddamn award to Jerry Sloan. Look, i am not much into giving the "well he hasn't won it " awards out. I wouldn't give it to Kobe the MVP because "he hasn't won it yet" thing(and I don't think there has been a season where he should have, but thats another discussion) but seriously... Jerry fucking Sloan needs to have at least one.

I have mostly stayed out of this thread because as many of you know, I hate politics, politicians, I think they are all lying assholes, party be damned, they are pretty much the same, and can suck my balls. But I have been paying attention more now, because I didn't like any candidate. My question...why the fuck are people wanting to vote for Obama? He is STILL giving non answers, just points out problems and says "We are going to have to fix this" and people cheer. I can fucking do that? I am looking for policy suggestions and the like. HOW does he plan on changing things and I am having a hard time finding any. From all three candidates honestly. Am I looking to pick someone to vote for but I am having a hard time giving a shit about any of them at this point because none of them are saying a goddamned thing. I think I am closest to voting for McCain. At least he is openly admitting that you can't just pull out of Iraq immediately despite how you feel about the war instead of tap dancing bullshit like Obama and Hil-dawg are doing. But I am getting off the subject. What exactly about Obama is selling people? The only way he is getting my vote is if my man John Edwards gets on his ticket, because I will vote for some John Edwards. I voted for Kerry's stupid ass for John Edwards.
-
Oh, yeah. I didnt realize that New Orleans had opened up that much of a lead. Maybe I was thinking one game back of winning he Pacific(although technically, they would be 1 1/2 games back since the Lakers hold the tiebreaker)
-
The Suns DID go on a 6-7 game winning streak and had the longest active steak in the league for a while there. Dallas, not so much. Plus, Dallas is a game away from being out the playoffs. The suns are a game away from having the best record in the west. That is a pretty big difference there.
-
The refs started the clock there, not the scorekeepers. Which all but assures that it won't be overturned because that would require the NBA to admit that their refs actually screw up from time to time. Fucked up ending for the Raptors though. It was really Mike Woodsons fault. "Why don't I put a small forward on easily the fastest guy in the NBA?" And at the same time, I look at this like when the Blazers lost to the Lakers in the West finals. Sure, there was a horrible no call on a obvious foul on Steve Smith at the end that would have changed the end of the game, but at the same time, you blew a 17 point lead...don't bitch...don't blow leads and it won't be left to the ref.

Internet superstars ruled the show.

okay, she's not a porn star. Who is she. I will be the judge on if she has done porn before or not.

Movies I have watched in the last few days: Reservation Road - This was...well...a movie. It had INCREDIBLE acting from Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Connelly(one incredible, Oscar caliber scene in particular with her), Mark Ruffalo and Elle Fanning. All gave incredible performances....yet this movie still managed to kinda suck. It had horrible pacing, was pretty boring actually and the ending was pretty predictable...this is probably the best acting in a bad movie you will ever see. The movie is about Phoenix's kid getting killed by Ruffalo's character in the a hit and run, and its pretty much a character piece after that. Its shot well, its acted superbly....just a boring movie. 88 Minutes - This is a movie that A: would be straight to DVD if not for Al Pachino B: Is awesome if you don't think at all whatsoever. There are about 88 plot holes in the movie too, the killer and motives are kinda dumb, but Pachino carries it, its a fun little ride. I would recommend it. The Marine - HA...HAHAHAHHHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA. this shit right here was pretty horrible. I blame the black guy. He was the worst character/actor I have seen in anything in a long time...and he reminded me of Coach. I recognized his horribleness in the original Matrix, but GEEZ. I know some said it was a fun little throwback to the commando style movies, but I disagree. It was pretty goddamn bad. Commando was so bad it was fun. This was just bad. And Cena looks really wierd around regular people. I don't think he is meant for the acting gigs. Mulberry Street - Watched it on suggestion from here, and I gotta say, I really liked it. Had a 28 Days Later Vibe to it. A few things I didn't like and I will just throw the spoiler tags on now: Overall though, it was a damn good movie and a great movie when you consider the budget. That was some great directing, and character development in a short time.

The reasons Utah was able to win was that A: Deron Williams is a big guard that you didn't have to double Baron Davis with. He was also phsycially big like Baron and could pound him right back. Paul could not do this. B: They had a 3 point shooting "center" that made it tough to double Boozer in the post. Chandler can't move that far away from the bastket and if he is any closer he would just make things tougher on West. The reason it works so much in the regular season is because of how incredible David West is from about 18 feet in. But that would play into the Warriors Matchups. C: There is no AK-47 in New Orleans. Alot of Golden States offense depends on Stephen Jacksons post up game on guard as he is a big, strong guy. Kirilinko shut him the hell down in that series, plus he was big enough that Jackson HAD to cover him. At the SF in New Orleans, you just have a guy that spots up. You can Hide Monta Ellis on him if you want to. You just need to make sure he doesn't get open looks. West is a PF more of the Dirk mold (with less fade aways) which stephen jackson could Harass The Hornets would kill them on the boards, but with 3 glaring mismatches for the Warriors (Baron/Paul on offense, Monta/ANYONE on the team and West having to chase Jackson) plus a deeper bench (Azebuke, Pietrus, Matt Barnes and the emerging Brandan Wright along with one of those guys that will randomly hurt you like Austin Croshere vs the bench of Bonzi Wells, Pargo and...well...Julian Wright I guess...Unless the Birdman flys baybee!) I just think the Warriors would beat them.
