My mind hasn't even tried to register how to say your user name now. I just think sharkalakado in my head when I see it. So you are the guy whose name I will never attempt to learn.

How much bitching would have been made had the Bucs gotten a first down after that BULLSHIT running into the kicker call and hit the field goal. 2 bullshit calls, the Colts capitalized on the one that helped them. And Keyshawns shit talking took me from not caring who won the game to staying up till one to watch the Colts win game. yes Keyshawn...he IS the best(or second best) reciever in the league. And I agree that Tampa just got a inmportant guy hurt and the Colts picked on the missmatch and the D just got TIRED.

They didn't. Racism was rampant in the north. The North wasn't fighting for chiefly abolitionist ideals, they were fighting to preserve the Union. I from Alabama and live in Georgia. One hundred percent southern guy. And even when I was in elementry school, I just saw so many flaws on why we were praising the Confederacy so much. I have never understood it and never will honestly. Yes, the south was presented as this group of gentlemen fighting for their land from the evil, city burnin northern colonies. They fought valiantly but eventually lost and should be respected. The truth in it, they diffentatly were more(vast majority honestly) southern troops fighting to keep their land and fighting to stay apart from the Union instead of outright fighting for to keep slavery. BUT, when your reason for leaving the Union is slavery and that the platform you want to stand on to defend state rights, then you are in essense fighting for slavery.

So are you telling me all the "black penis" jokes were vicious lies written by Bradshaw in his online article when the entire time his wife was leaving him. I feel betrayed.

Basically it is the life of Buffy and her friends/family/etc. And she happens to kill vampires and other creatures. And she just happens to live on the mouth of hell which allows for all the CRAZY~! stuff to happen. Most of the time the Vampires would just be there for the first shot of the show and that would be it for them. The Beast of the week or Big Bad(the main villian for the season) would be the usual focus of the show. People that aren't really into the mythos would enjoy seasons 5-7 more than the begaining. It is a more adult oriented show. ANd how can you hate a show that was voted "Worst show for families" due to its sexuality and violence for 3 years running. HOW? Its the writing and the acting ability of the cast that makes it amazing. Honestly, I don't think this concept could be pulled off with another cast. But when I watch the"Buffy" rip-offs like Dark Angel, Smallville(if you really think about it, it is), and Charmed, I really appreciate the good writing and acting because one or the other (or in Charmed's case, both) really suck about those shows. Alias is the Buffy Rip off that is the exception to the rule though. Basically it is a genre show that doesn't really go by the rules of the genre and I suck at explaining it. Where the fuck it Rudo when you need him.

TSM Poster Tournament II: THE FINAL~!

Between my music and movie taste, (and the fact that I use way to much british slang in my post to be from Alabama) I see how it would be a suprise. You use British slang now? Is there British slang? Trust me, no one says bloody or bullocks on this side of the pond. I always figured I could just steal more words we don't use from my friend Jason, but he just really says fuck alot. That doesn't really sound as exotic as "sod off you git." damn British not living up to my preconceived stereotype that I had about their vocabulary. -
Yeah, but the seasons basically ran like a 22 hour movie. If you jumped into the middle of a season nothing would make sense. Its like trying to watch hour 17 of 24 without seeing anything before that. I might be alright at best, but if you saw it all, you would enjoy it more. FX is what got me into the show with their two-a-day schedule and made it easier to follow. HOnestly though, alot of people will never get it and some will automatically think it is incredible. I personally never like vampire stories and then I ended up loving this show. Never like space shows and I really liked Firefly. Joss Whedon is just a plain incredible writer and some will appreciate his work and others won't.
-
But Mike Vick didn't throw a pick until like the 9th week of last season. He makes throws that either his reciever can get or nobody gets basically. Thats why he doesn't get hammered about his throwing as much.

Nene Hilario is the future for that team at the PF. I honestly say that of all teams, the Nuggets would need Rodman the least.
-
Well basically it requires you to watch more than 2 eps. Plus you have to understand that the show is not about the vampires and they are merely symbols for various other things that the show might have been handling. The show is one big ass metaphor after another basically. I didn't start watching the show until 5 years in after watching the first few eps and just saying "blah" because I didn't get. Some people never will. Who cares about what the vamps looked like or how they got killed, they weren't the focus of the show. And as for the Season 5 threesome up there, you need to go back to the begaining of that thread and see who the first Season 5 pimp was. *does RVD thumbs*

Losers who broke away from the United States because they didn't like how the laws worked and took up arms against this country killing a huge number of AMERICAN soldiers. *wonders if that guy that was charged with taking up arms against American soldiers in Afganistan will be given some statues one day*

And you can honestly say that your OPINION is a common one? Most people don't buy that this style is less challenging or the matches are less enjoyable. I watch basically every type of wrestling(not as much recently but have in the past) and have this uncanny ability to appreciate each style for their pluses and minuses. The style that Angle uses is different than the Japanese or Mexican or European couterparts but I personally and I am sure others agree, will not say that it is inferior or makes him any less of a good/evenutally great wrestler. I am not taking to task your statement that he isn't great now...he is still relatively young in his career. But to suggest that he will "NEVER be a considered a great" is basically your opinion that I do not believe would be held by most other people. You are basically saying that no matter what this guy does, he can never be considered a great? Despite that he has wrestled good to great Mat based matches, Hardcore/brawls, high flying, but he can never be considered a great because he is in the WWE? You are entitled to your opinion but I personally consider that to be ridiculous.

You ~RACIST!! -
Many belive that since he doesn't have a low point at which his matches sucked, and he has some damn fine matches on his resume to boast, and the fact that he won't be done for a while, he very well can become an all time great worker. Once again, you are talking workrate, and they only reason that you are calling his subpar is because of your knowledge of the Japanese/puro wrestling style. In American style pro wrestling, Kurt Angle isn't very far from being a all time great. He could learn some selling(funny how people say RVD doesn't sell but don't notice when Angle does it) and a few other things, but the guy is basically the total package.
-
I don't get the thing with you and Dusty though. if anything, he insulted black players. And Dusty was obviously joking through his laughing at his own bad joke the whole time he was talking. Rush was DEAD ASS SERIOUS. I never really liked Dusty, and I was laughing when the Angles won the World Series last year and that little brat in the Giants dugout was crying. However, I said my peace about the situation when it happened and I largely forgot about it. However, if ESPN is going to act like they did regarding Rush's situation -- I still can't get over T.J.'s stupid "kid" quote -- then I am going to bring up Racist Dusty's remarks. Oh, and look who won Game 5 for him in the cold. Maybe Racist Dusty has a point... Oh, come on, T.J.'s comment will go down as one of the more comical moments in recent sports brodcast history.
-
Thats quite a few "except for's" That last touchdown was a perfect example of just plain being out of position. And honestly, if not for Ramsey throwing the ball to the little kid in the stands on the last 2 point conversion, the game is tied. I give you this, for a extremely young secondary, they are going to be INCREDIBLE. As of now, they are playing well. But not good enough for anyone to be claiming that the D is carrying this team. They certainly aren't giving the offense great field position, which is the main way that a D can carry a team.
-
As long as Angle is solely employed by WWE he will never be considered one of the greats. The body of work simply isn't there. Oh, and his promo's suck so I can't really call him the total package. Maybe if he stopped bobbing his neck and acting like a fuckin goof he'd be taken seriously. If we were going on an overall set of criteria, Austin would be ranked highly due to his huge influence on the business and the amount of money he drew. Workrate-wise, he doesn't even register in the Top Ten. Actually he can and will be considered a great if he only works there. The American scene only wrestling watchers out number the puro watchers in great numbers actually. Seeing as we are in AMERICA, his body of work in AMERICAN wrestling can and will get him considered one of the greats.

You mean except for the big plays they gave up yesterday? As a matter of fact, almost the only way I have seen people score on them has been big plays. They aren't Falcon defense bad or anything, but they aren't "Carry the team" good. If anything, they are mediocre.
-
I mean, you'll always have a guy or two fellating their favorite guy. But lets not pretend that Donavan wasn't catching every kind of criticism (and deservedly so) after his week one and two performances. But apparently all that criticism he was getting didn't really exist and I was just hearing and seeing things since the media wants to coddle their black QB's.
-
Aren't they ranked 31st against the pass? I think thats what they are. I mean, its understandable that they are not playing great on D due to free agency and the ENTIRE secondary being injured, but they are sucking quite greatly every since the week one game against Tampa (where they played damn well).
-
Its amazing that noone came out saying he was overrated, had gained too much weight or started calling for for his backup to come in after a start like that. Must be because he is black.
-

Well with the Eagles at 2-2 and McNabb having 1 quality game and 1 good one to basically CARRY them there and the Defense sucking various types of dick right now, you have to admit that the guy can carry this team. There was a tough start...one against the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS and the other against the pats. You can't put the wins on the D at all now.

Jim Jackson once averaged 26 points per game in the NBA and was basically unstoppable...one year. He since went on to be traded 10 times and hasn't averaged near that amount again. My point. Greatness is judged over a timeframe. Austin, while he was AMAZING in spurts, has longer bouts of mediocrity. Flair, while he does have some mediocre runs, was a AMAZING performer consistantly for well over a decade and a half. With Austin, the ability was always there, but bottomline, due to his gimmick, he spent the better part of his WWE run being a punch/kick/finisher guy. Greatness isn't judged on potential. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Chris Beniot don't have a point in their career where they spent nearly 5 years with mediocre matches. Austin was GOOD to above average in WCW, he was Damn GOOD in his early WWE run. Then it came. I think you can point to just before his title win over Michaels as the point his mediocrity begain. It HONESTLY didn't end until his heel run a few years back (where he was putting on INCREDIBLE matches) You can pick apart anyones career and find weak points, but given the body of work, a case can be made that Austin is not one of the greatest wrestlers to step between the ropes. I certainly don't believe that he can be put in the catagory with the likes of Flair or Hart. Hell, looking over the past 10+ years of Beniots career, you can't really find a run where he was as bad as Austin was in the late 90's. Again, its not that I believe that Austin couldn't do great things and put on great matches, bottomline is that he WASN'T due to his brawling redneck gimmick. So yes, you can have the opinion that Austin isn't one of the greats due to his body of work.
