TSM Poster Tournament II: THE FINAL~!

  2. As cute as it is to say that the war was about so much more than slavery, bottom line, it was what the war stood for. Yes, the South was making a push for states rights and blah blah blah. But they chose slavery as their line in the sand and what they wouldn't give up. That was the cause that they chose to stand behind so it will be remembered for that. They might have had different reasons to go to war (yes most of the Confederate soldiers didn't own slaves) but their cause was to still to fight for the right to own slaves and its no way around that. The celebration of the confederacy still remains to be one of the more laughable things in this country honestly.

    What a Load of...

I don't agree with whatLimbaugh that McNabb isn't that great to begin with. I believe that's what he said. However, would it kill the media to maybe look and see if they do want a black QB to succeed? Instead of dismissing the comments has racist and narrow minded. Why not look into the comments, and see if theres any truth to the comments. Tom Jackson needs to go. He's been around way too long, and Countdown is him saying how great everyone is. It goes without saying that the comments had no truth to them which is why it brought on such a backlash. Basically, the league when through this black QB thing a long time ago and had moved on, then Rush felt the need to drag everyone back to that moment.

Of course, Peyton did get the same kind of press as Donovan when he first started out, until the press suddenly decided he was a choker and collectively gave him that label. Just wait until Eli Manning hits the NFL if you are looking for a while quarterback who is going to be given the blowjob push by the media. No one paid Donavan any attention at first because they were still on the "We Love Peyton" run. It wasn't until Donovan's team was doing better then it was something. And if the Eagles take the record to 2-2 this week with a non-existant D, somebody better give Mcnabb some love.

Yeah, but when you get the 38 disk set of LOTR, it is annoying to deal with a one disk player like in those things. Most people I know have a disk changer of some sort. I guess if you are dealing with younger gamers, then yeah, he PS2 would be a better bet.
  11. What about Boiler room where he was the only one that sounded like he was reading every line. Affleck put him to SHAME in that movie. He does have presense though. Of course, that comes from him being the biggest mo-fo on the screen, but he certainly has presense.
  12. Betcha any money when it comes to that point, you have a direct to video action blowaway with Diesel, Van Damme, and Seagal. C'mon, who WOULDN'T wanna see a street racer get put into a coma only to awaken and team with his shady yet goodhearted twin to get the drug dealers who murdered their parents because their parents were part of a secret spy organization that did undercover work in Thailand? I'd camp out in front of Blockbuster for that shit. Universal Soldier would kickass if Vin took the role of the renegade soldier and is chased by Van Dam as the only one who can stop him and Gary Busey as the crazy govt politician trying to destroy an Indian Reservation that is sitting on an oil field, of course Steven Segal would step in to protect nature. Or he can be a street racer that has to help his friend fight off Jamacians in a Kumate and Steven Segal as the cop who Miracilously never gets injured(or hit) through the whole movie. Vin can yell to Van Damne when Bolo Yung(with dread locks) blinds him, telling him where to punch. Then Segal just comes in and kicks his ass without getting hit...basically like every Steven Segal movie EVER!! Or they could go the "badass rapper sidekick" route that made Exit Wounds et al good movies. DMX and Ice Cube are too big budget for this, so take I dunno...Biz Markie and have him be Seagal's wisecracking partner in a police headquarters that is overwhelmed by corruption, with Van Damme and Diesel as the undercover anithero good guys who are pretending to be bad (or are they), Alyssa Milano as the love interest that the three guys fawn and fight over, and Cary Hirouki-Tagawa as the Yakuza goon responsible for buying off the cops and transporting drugs in these hot rod racers. Have Cynthia Rothrock make a cameo to beat the piss out of Milano's character and we've got a winner. OR just let them redo the Three Amigos just for seeing them in the out fits and Segal trying to get on a horse. And in that scene at the bar, they can have the Mexican guy say "LOOK AT THE THREE LITTLE SISSIES!" and they would kick everyone in the bars ass. Kristy Swanson can play the girl from the village that gets kidnapped that they have to save. And the villiage can be a mining town that El Wopo is trying to take over for oil or something(to keep Segal intrested) Then they could have a big show down with El Wopo (only have it be Bolo Yung with a big mustache and sombero but still doing the wide eyed throat cut gesture) where everyone takes a beating(except Segal of course, because fat guys with pony tails never get hit) and they eventually win at the end. Vin Diesal can be Ned Nedillender, Segal can be Dusty and Van Dammn can be Lucky Day. That would be GOLD just for Vin Diesal singing "Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue shadows on the trail"

What about the "dream match" against Shawn Michaels on Raw last year that scored the lowest main event rating for Raw in years? That match was mentioned more than once and was given the proper attention I believe. Didn't that match last about 4 seconds before HHH ran in and it got a DQ finish and the last 5 minutes of the show was HHH posing and spitting.

The minimal public outcry part is still wrong. What are you, from Boston. They still tell stories of how the Pistons got away with everything with out consequence. The Sports Guy on ESPN is definately a boston native and kills me with his revisionist history. "I swah to GAHD, one time Lambieer punch Rahbert Parish right in the face...right there on the floor. I almost drop my pop when I saw it. THey kicked Rahbert out the game and Lambieer went and slapped his wife...and they still didn't kick da bastid out. True story." Minimal public outcry would be Shaqs little Yao Ming statement that he apologized for a day later. Thats MINIMAL. Isaiah refusing to apologize, all the questions fielded to Bird about it, the announcers talking about it outside the game, people calling for Isaiah to be fined or suspended, and if I recall correctly, a SI cover certainly isn't MINIMAL. The fact that nearly 20 years later that automatically jumped to mind when Isaiah was hired to replace Bird and when bird was rehired says volumes.
  17. I'm guessing in about 4 years he will be doing straight to video sequals of his most successful movies when SOMEBODY realises that he can't act. 4 Fast 4 Furious and XXX-6 is coming soon.

I never saw the point of having a DVD player on a video game system anyway. You are killing your system faster (ask anyone that got a PS2 at launch) and honestly, how many people didn't have a DVD player already ANYWAY. PS2 and X-box do have the online support thing though, but with so few homes having DSL, once again, it is a technology that isn't used much. Nintendo was smart to keep the overall production cost down on each system by not adding un needed add ons.

    Good news on the economy

The thing is, if a election wasn't looming soon, this wouldn't even be discussed because it is such a insignificant growth. Not that I blame the Bush party, its their job to make sure the public sees him in a favorable light, but if this was last year and this same growth happened it wouldn't even be mentioned.

So you claim Isiah wasn't kept off the team because of Jordan. Then you say Jordan said he wasn't interested in going if Isiah went. I don't know where you've been, but when Jordan spoke during his glory years everyone with power in basketball listened and obeyed him like trained monkeys. If Jordan said he wouldn't be interested in going if Isiah went, that means Isiah didn't go. To believe that Jordan couldn't have influenced the decision is foolish. I think you misread what he said. He is saying that it was because of Jordan zeke didn't go.
  21. Well, of having the bullet signature thing in guns is taking away gun owners rights, then this is taking away other rights. I blame the NRA.... I blame them for alot of stuff...

Sad when we didn't lose quite as many jobs as we have the months before is seen as a great leap forward despite the fact that the growth was minute. Hey I got shot. I'm still bleeding but not as much as I was yesterday! YAY ME!! I must be doing better.

Well, the black QB stereotype was still running rampant back then. I think it is safe to say that we are at the point where QB's are guaged on perfomance and wins and losses before they call you good or a bust and not on race...unless you are Jake Plummer...you can absolutley suck ass and still get called a good QB. Jake Plummer trancends race. Yeah, I remember this too. When Black QB's were getting criticized for scrambling and they considered as being selfish. Randall Cunningham ended up getting blackballed for 2 years because of his playmaking ability. Then Steve Young started Scrambling then it was viewed as acceptable and now every coach wants a Playmaking QB instead of a Pocket Passer, its funny how that works. What was even funnier was that there were only 2 black QB's and one of them NEVER scrambled(Moon wasn't going to move) but the stereotype was in place. Didn't really make sense.
