NFL Week 14 - Dolphins? More like LOLphins! Amirite?
Ripper replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Sports
Hell no he isn't a top ten reciever. he will make big plays every now and then, but the guy will blow a route, drop a pass, wiff a block faster than most receivers. He isn't Michael "I will get my QB at least one pick a game" Jenkins bad, but still. That said, they are both very decent recievers. But too flawed to be called top 10. White is top 20 maybe. I think Norwood could be a top ten back if he gets a coach that gets the fuck over their "But he is too small to be a every down back" then plays Warrick Dunn for most of the downs. I also think that they were just too injured along the offensive line. Tyson Clabo,Justin Blaylock and Wayne Gandy, I think are all very good offensive linemen that you can build on. I do think you could get by a year with Leftwich before having to break the bank on a QB. Just trade Brooking while people in the league still thinks he has some value, get a couple of safeties(or give Jimmy Williams a shot), one that can play SS now, one that can replace Lawyer Milloy at the FS in the future and I think you are looking at a pretty good defense that could carry a mediocre offense. -

I think its laughable to say Noorwood isn't a everydown back. Just because the coach refused to use him, doesn't mean he isn't a everydown back. The only injuries he has had in the NFL have come on sprained ankles on special teams. When running the ball, he is definately the teams hardest runner while also being the fastest guy. They need a QB, about 2 offensive linemen, a middle linebacker that doesn't get all his tackles 15 yards down the field and a free safty for Milloy to groom. Oh yeah, and they need to suck up to Deangleo Hall to get him to stay. -

We won't be seeing any home games at all next year. I don't care who they take. -

Thank god. They should just take offensive linemen. -

All the shit that was talked about Deangelo Hall saying that he felt the coach had quit on the team, looks like he was right. And personally I liked what Roddy White did. They basically were saying there were tired of every reporter talking about how everyone in the locker room hated Vick anyway and are secretly glad he is gone. -
Thats not even close to what happened. TJ started up with one hand and turned for a reverse. Horford went for the ball and the block and TJ got hit in the face. There was no yanking by the face. Come on now.
-
TJ goes out on a stretcher again. Not a flagrant two by Horford though, but who cares. TJ went completely limp after the foul then hit the ground hard. Hope he will be okay, although if it is another spinal injury, I hope he calls it a career. The guy is great and all, but its just not worth the risk.

For everyone that keeps saying Peyton finally shut up the press, in their defense, he folded like a news paper every year when he met a good defense. His critisim was well earned. -
Well...there you go. Media Center on 360 doesn't support DivX or Xvid

Nine men gang rape a 10 year old girl
Ripper replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
Well I mean if a 6 year old ASK to blow you, are YOU really the criminal? ... Yes...yes you are. -
I can't get video to stream with Media Center from my laptop or my desktop. Freezes the console every time. Any ideas?

I would print that and post it on a bulletin board and laugh at it if I worked at Nintendo. Sorry...I just would. We get random emails from time to time where I work complaining about how they got screwed because our company makes HD TV's and it didn't look HD when they got home(of course because they have no HD signal). They are always long and articulate. And we always laugh.

I don't think anyone resents the Celtics right now. Because the boston fans aren't paying them that much attention yet. Which once again goes into my theory that its the fans fault people hate the teams. Right now everyone is focusing on the Pats, so the rest of the country is still okay with the Celtics. Lets put it this way, if the playoffs started today and your favorite team got eliminated in the first round, who could honestly say they wouldn't root for the Celtics with their 3 guys that really deserve a shot at the title after playing so hard for all these years? But wait until Boston fans get ahold of it. Hell, just on this board, there will be a influx of posters who have never posted in a NBA thread coming in talking about how facking unstoppable the Celts are and how they have been a diehard fan since day one. -

I don't think anyone would have hated the Pats if not for a few things. A: The media B: Their fans C: Spygate D: Their fans The pats were a likeable team then came the media blow jobs and the "Well, everyone keeps counting out the Patriots. I dont' know why they are a great team" when everyone was saying they were a great team. They continued that shit for 5 years. Just like every year they do the "Everyone is counting out the Spurs" crap. When has the spurs not been considered favorites for the Championship in the last 6-8 years? Then of course, alot of Boston fans were whiney assholes. And got whineyier and assholeier as the years went on. Spygate was bad, but the only thing that made it so bad was all the "Its no big deal!!!!!!" crap coming out of the media and pat fans mouths. Plus, anytime the media comes up with a nickname for something it probably is going to be annoying as fuck. After spygate the fans got to a whole other level of whineosity and assholery. "TAKE THAT NFL FOR PUNISHING US FOR OUR CHEATING!!!!!" "STOP COMPLAINING THAT OUR TEAM IS DOING SOMETHING THAT EVERY OTHER COACH FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS HAS HAD THE COMMON DECENCY NOT TO DO!!!" And that is why people hate the pats. I personally don't care. I think seeing a team go 19-0 in my lifetime would be pretty kickass. But I do understand the hate on the team. -

They are too busy taking steroids and having unprotected sex and cheating. Get off the fucking high horse. No one reports the negatives about winners. 10 years from now we will hear about how Junior Seau was punch hookers in the stomach with a roll of quarters in his hand to get hyped up for the game and how Randy Moss was pissing in some Catholic churches holy water for shits and giggles. And Tom Brady will actually have gotten 8 women pregnant this year because he will be DAMNED if Travis Henry beats him at ANY goddamn thing. -
No, thats her. She got more tats as she got more crack. Never was a pretty girl in the first place, now, but crack is one hell of a drug. Well...whatever. Frank and Back to Black are two good fucking albums.

Just my luck, I can't find any links to the stripper rumor, so I guess we will just have to stick with lounge singer impregnating then. -

Also, with Tom Brady, you are looking at a return to oldschool athletes. Like sure, Michael Jordan was a gambling addicted, stripper impregnating, violent asshole, but come'on...we don't have time to report any of that. Its Michael FUCKING Jordon. Sure, Tom Brady will have two out of wedlock kids by two different women born within a year of each other and the first Mom says he is kind of a crappy dad, but come'on. Its Tom FUCKING Brady. I personally like it. We know too much shit about people now. Just think, if a NBA star was to throw a guy through a window or spit on a little girl in the stands now, he would be banned from the league because 10,000 sports writers would be all up in arms. In the 80's and early 90's, mutha fuckas was gettin AIDS while their wife was clean and people were still didn't have anything bad to say about them. Thats how I liked it. Way to bring it back Tom. -

Yeah. He did murder a dog. Thats pretty freaking accurate. If they called him dog raper, then maybe you would be on to something. -
Josh Smith has stop shooting jumpers and man...the league is in trouble. Another ridiculous night for him. If the Hawks keep the pace, he should be a allstar and get some looks for defensive player of the year.
-
Most bad NBA contracts aren't really that bad. Most guys with huge contracts were actually worth it at some point. Its just because they were backloaded contracts and look bad later. Jalen Rose, Steve Francis, Stephon marbury, Penny Hardaway, all of these guys were allstar caliber players when they signed their big contracts. I think you have to look at a guy like Jim Mcilvane. I know, 7 years, 33 million might not look like alot now, but at the time that was a pretty big contract for a guy that had done nothing. Ever. Then it pissed off half of the sonic players because he was getting paid more than most of them for no reason what so ever. It halfway broke the team up because it was part of the reason Kemp was so pisssed off with the Sonics refusing to give him a contract extension but signing Mister 3 points 3 rebounds a game to a 33 million dollar contract.

You all might not have heard this, but apparently Chris Redman was selling insurance last year. See, repeating that over and over will make this pretty funny. -
Pitino's "reign of terror" ended in 2001. The team finished well at the end of that year to get Celtic fans excited over the team with Jim O'brien at the helm. For the next 3 years they made the playoffs(bringing us to 2004). They missed the playoffs the last three years. And they will make the playoffs this year. Three fucking years. 2004 really wasn't that long ago dude. Edit: Wait...forgot about them requiring Walker at the end of the 04-05 season. They made the playoffs that year too. And I remember Celtics fans being real excited about how well the team finished the year and got into the playoffs. So we are TWO years removed from the team making the playoffs. Oh the misery.

I don't know man, despite his shooting woes, TJ ford keeps that offense moving alot better than Calderon. Yeah, he is injury prone, but I think he is by far and away the best point guard they have in Toronto. Calderon is a good player, but I don't think he makes his teammates nearly as good as Ford does, will make more plays because he isn't overly safe. Calderon is one hell of a consistant shooter though. I will give you that. I personally don't see how anyone could even begain to suggest that Calderon is having a better year or is a better point guard than Tinsley right now just because he shoots the ball better though. Tinsley is averaging more points, rebounds, assist, and steals. Hell, Calderon is bettering Jason Kidd only in shooting too, and I don't think anyone would be crazy enough to make the argument that he is having a better year than kid. I like Caldron, but I think he is a player that would be completely useless in a slow it down, grind it out offense, while I think a guy like Ford could be good in any system.
