I am thinking 1-4 has already happened with 4 being Nikia going apeshit a couple of eps back.

Secondary in general honestly. You get John Lynch, and a few other safeties, but cornerback is a no no. I mean seriously, Matt jones is like 6'4, has pretty good hands and runs a 4.3 and is the size of a ox. You mean no one tried him as a freakishly large corner or safety. Ever? I always found it wierd. Won't even get into the white running back not existing unless he is a powerback.

    HDTV

They are not a ripoff. I have my 4:3 CRT and the fact of the matter is, while you do get the bars on the 16x9 HD outputs, most channels aren't HD. So you will get the bars on the sides of the 4:3 Widescreens. Seeing as you would be getting the bars more often on the Widescreen, wouldn't that make it the ripoff? I don't think either are a ripoff. Black bars aren't the end of the world.

Jason Sehorn was a great corner in video games because of how tall he was.

Apparently the problem in Dever and the reason they aren't winning is Dre Bly and Champ Bailey. Because they gave up a touchdown each. Because great corners never do that. Ever.

    NBA Opening week

I think people counting in Miami are giving them way to many props. They are hurt at every position, it is basically a two man team and both of them are hurt. With Scola, I obviously haven't seen him play much, but the Spurs didn't WANT to give him up at all. It was a case of might as well get something for him because he was going to sign a long term contract with another team and would never play for them anyway. I think they got, what, a second round pick for him? They love Elsons athletism and Obertos smarts so that pretty much locked up the front court rotation with those two, Horry and Duncan. Scola, when I have seen him play, looks like a nice offensive player, and can really pass well at the high post. He isn't that consistant with his 15 footer (although all the scouting reports I read said he is...maybe he has just had a off night the 8 or 9 times I have seen him play) He has okay dribbling skills. I don't see him being able to defend...well...anyone. He is too slow for quick PF, and though he seems strong enough on the offensive end (he really bangs and moves people around) on the defensive end, he seems to lose all that strength. He isn't a great rebounder either. I think you can expect something along the line of Oberto from San Antonio with a more aggressive and refined low post game and a better passer. Or a better comparison, he could be the Rockets Vlade Divac (Sacramento version) Defensively, you aren't losing or gaining anything between he and Juwan Howard, although I know that Juwan basically will NEVER miss that 15 foot jump shot so you might lose that. And since he won't be able to share the low block with Yao, i think he will be a top of the key passing big man on offense.

So the Rockets have: Luther Head Rafer Alston Mike James Steve Francis Aaron Brooks ... REALLY? You don't think you should trade one or two of them for some front court or small forward help?

Cleveland lost two players and added pretty much nothing so I guess that would justify them so low. I would love to say the Hawks should be higher, but have to wait till the games mean something to make that argument. Even with the worse coach in the NBA, I think they could make some real noise if they stay uninjured. You can complain about Boston but really, look at the teams around them. I think Dallas should be higher, but really, this team has the makings of something great. Often times you wonder how guys will mesh, but these three guys? I don't see how this could go wrong honestly.

    NBA Roundtable Discussion

See and this is where I have to disagree. Rookies out of college don't really contribute in the first 2-3 years either. College rules are alot stricter now where coaches can only coach for so many hours in so many months out of the year, where back in the 70's and 80's, the players could live in the gym with their coaches. The prep to pro guys get to learn the game at a faster pace against better competition. The leap from the highschool game to the pro game is huge, but I think people are down playing how huge the leap from college to pros is also. Every single year we had dozens of kids that dominated in college either not be drafted, or straight out bust in the NBA because they are two completely different games. It is faster, it more athletic, and everyone is bigger. Thats why alot of guys crap out. People love to point out the early struggles of prep to pro players but competely ignore the exact same struggles out of 2-3 year collegiate players. And with Telfair, I once again have to point out, his turnover numbers are low, his assist numbers are fine for the minutes he plays, and if you ever watch him play, the last thing that is wrong with this game is his playmaking skills. He knows how to play the point guard position well, but he seems intent on proving he can shoot. College wouldn't have changed that. Its okay to be a starting point that has a horrible shot in college because...well...thats what they have. All it would have done is convince him he was more of a offensive force when he was blowing by the shitty college D and the no real challege at the rim. That would have honestly made his game worse. These guys go to college and dominate against lesser opposition. Like, you don't get better playing Madden by beating the computer on rookie. Prep to Pro guys are playing on All-Madden, and while they might get their asses kicked until they get better, in 4 years they are going to be better than the guys that have been playing Pro. Look at guys like Sheldon Williams who went through 4 years of college and averaging 18 points and near 10 rebounds as a hulking center in college. Now he is a 6'9" power forward with no post moves in the NBA. And when it comes to the "fortune and fame" aspect of everything, come on now. If you have been a regular guy on a college campus, you know how much debauchery you can get into. Now if you are the star basketball player, you will have just as much access to any drugs, and women as a rookie in the NBA. Only the NBA will get more highly trained groupies. I think it is ridiculous for people to say college teaches you maturity. The real world is the maturity teacher. Guys that went to college are just as likely to fuck up as those that didn't, and once again, there are countless examples of it in every sport. Point is, only once every blue moon does a rookie of any level come in and immediate make your team better. That is college or not. If you are looking for a rookie to change everything in one year, your team probably really sucks. The prep to pro players didn't make the NBA boring or bad. Putting them on the court as starters 4 months after prom was the problem. That and the NBA continually trying to tweak the game to make it more exciting which of course made it less exciting.

I am amazed that Beno Udrih is just floating out there now. Someone in need of a point should sign him. Immediately.

That Jakks money in the bank commercial where Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin kill each other always make me laugh. Jeff just hits shelton in the face with a latter. Jeff falls off the top of the scaffle and lands on the ropes and the later, breaking his spine. I hope kids don't play like that.

Except that doesn't actually happen. Those "refined" college skills mean absolute shit in the NBA. The only point of college basketball is to get lesser known players more pub and more noticed. Any refinement they would get in the college game, they would get more refinement and alot faster in the NBA. And I don't think you can argue that telfair in his 3 entire years in the league is a bust. He had a decent rookie year as a backup point in Portland and then improved his second year. Then he went to Boston and that just wasn't pretty. As a playmaker, he is still afine player and would thrive in a uptempo system. His problem is that he can't shoot for shit, and he gets to take more shots per day with shooting coaches now than he would have in 4 total years of college.

Just fell. Good. Maya's heel turn coming more and more. Me loves it. What me didn't love was most of the other stuff in the ep. Claire and flyboy was eh, and so was HRG and the Haitian.

    Good parts of bad movies

With that said, Players Club was a absolutely horrible movie, but every Bernie Mac scene was incredible and made the movie worth buying.

    Bad parts of good movies

I agree that it was funny, and Tarantino's acting in this actually fit. Its just that scene didn't go along with the pace of the movie. At all. And it was pretty unecessary. It was like watching a scene from another movie just spliced in. The wrist breakage, I could deal with, seeing as she couldn't feel her hands, but yeah, later when they were just fine, that was a little wierd. I figured she just hurt sprained it and that was it.
  23. Haven't given up a touchdown. Which generally makes defenses happy.

    Asian People Suck At Driving.

Black people crossing the street piss me off because of the "I still have to be cool" factor. Bitch, you are crossing 4 lane road where the speed limit is 50mph. You better fucking jog at least and get the fuck out the street. White people, at least here, haven't got the slightest clue of how to cross the street and its just as annoying, but at least they jog. They will stand at the cross walk and start walking when the light turns green. You stupid fuck, you just stood there for 3 minutes while the light was red and we couldn't go. Why in the fucking hell would you go when we start moving? In parking lots, black people will move or at least look at you and get that visual comfirmation to go. I am convinced that there is something in white people DNA that makes them believe they can't be hit in a parking lot and they will walk....slowly, directly in front of you thinking that nothing can happen to them. Overall though, people in general should be happy I am not rich and can't afford to just settle out of court, becuase I would run nearly everyone the fuck over.
