4: How is the multiplayer? 5: How many different ways can I play the game? And Halo and Bioshock were lauded for the innovations that they brought to those respective elements on the console platform. Halo, the first one, really didn't bring much to the table in either of those aspects and was lauded as innovative. The first game was hyped because of how it looked, and...well...yeah...It was a PC level FPS on a console. Halo 2, yes, it was the multiplayer along with the game and the story that already had people pulled in. I am not sure of what you mean by "How many ways I can play the game". If you mean multiple paths and branching, that is nothing new and was present in the Doom era FPS.

Why do you think I didn't play you on live. I didn't want you disappointed with my Chris Tucker-esque voice. Speaking of which, pick another game thats not Rainbow Six Vegas. I don't like that game.

And before anyone asks, Muppet Babies. I worked on a Muppet Babies game that never got finished. It was kinda awsome at the time though. ... Okay, it probably wasn't that awsome but I was working on the "Indiana Jones" spoof level (would've been a pretty cool platforming stage is you were a kid) and the character models and ships on the Star Wars stage. So yeah....muppet babies.

1: And it still is a bitch even when you utilize the middle ware tools or engines. The amount of texture, lighting, animation tweaking needed to make sure you aren't bogging down the render engine is alot more than with PC game development. Unless of course you are developing for a PC with very low specs which hasn't been done for a long time now. There is different level of expectation from PC games because they have been able to do so much for such a long time. Consoles will always be a step behind do to their inheriant limitation. 2: Because at the end of the day, console innovation usually comes down to either Visuals, AI or control. What makes it "innovative" is the ability to do and see what is on screen on a console, according to reviews at least. What was innovative about Halo? There was no FPS on a console that looked that good at the time and it was the closest thing to PC gaming you were going to get on the console. BioShock? It is beautiful and on a console. And innovations usually, more times than not, are the product of the third party engine which other companies use thus it doesn't look so special when 5 other games are doing the same thing. Thus its tough for a game to bring something new to the table. The only thing you are going to see innovative on console FPS(or FPS's in General) is 1: How good can it look and still play smoothly or 2: How do you utilize alternative control methods. 3: Is the AI realistic? Of course, this is coming from someone who graduated back in the "BRAND NEW UNREAL ENGINE 2!!!!" days and near the end of the Unreal Engine one days so maybe the new engines are easier and more forgiving on programmers and modelers trying to get something to work well.

The only things that would get me ridiculously hyped while watching Raw would be Jerhico's or the Rocks theme music kicking in. I would mark like a 5 year old honestly.

...!!! What? Come on Ripper, that's crazy. Where are you getting this idea from? I guarantee if you look at the development lifecycle of a PC game versus a console game, the amount of effort and general timeline should be pretty similar. No, not at all. Working with a console dev kit leaves you with so many limitations while PC developers work with alot less restraints. Basically, if you want a beautiful lush forrest in a PC game, you put it in there. Some computers might not be able to handle it but you just up the required specs and away you go. You want a lush forrest on a console game, you either better change your idea of lush or start thinking of some work arounds. The reason PC games look so incredible is that they don't have to dumb down anything. Not animations, not the character models not textures nearly as much as console games do. Seriously, modeling something low res takes alot longer than just going all out and modeling the fuck out of it.
  8. And its a good precident. You assault officers you will be arrested. If you continue to resist arrest you will be tased. What is wrong with that?

But they are more original masterpieces because developing a PC game is simple when compared to developing a console game. I think that some reviewers know that thus the extra praise to console games. The ability to get certain levels of polish on a game on a console is amazing while on PC's, its just "go upgrade and you can get it to look like this". I know people get pissed that the discrepency between the rating of PC games and console games but there is a very good reason for that.

Why does a game have to be innovative to be a great game. The two things don't necessarily have to go hand in hand.

The I am ________ thing never really works. Mostly because people seldom work in fields where anything is undebateable. Especially law(and science...and economics). The arguement was about what the charges should have been and you being a lawyer honestly doesn't validate your opinion...its still just an opinon. And as I was saying in my first post, if it was a felony they would have been charged with aggravated assault. You are the one that was capitalizing FELONY assault as though that is what the charge would have been. It wouldn't have. Aggravated assault would be the charge. And I am arguing they wouldn't have been charged with felony assault most other places since they usually only break that out when a weapon is involved or there is more malicious intent. There isn't anything here to say that these boys were trying to inflict more serious physical damage to the boy outside of kicking his ass. Unless someone is saying their intent was to disfigure, maim or kill the boy which I don't think anyone clear thinking individual could say. And once again, we are talking about the same police force that DID charge the kids with assault and battery, and DID issue the same charge when the black kid had a bottle broken over his head(which is actually aggravated assault). No, they WOULD have been charged with what they were charged with. They would have been charged with that anywhere. The charges were UPed when it was discovered the injuries were NOT serious. So I honestly don't see how you could even suggest that the charges they got had anything to do with the boys injuries honestly. The DA had to trump up their tennis shoes as deadly weapon so he could keep the aggravated assault charges and attempted murder. Even you have said that was bullshit. So share with me, what exactly makes this aggravated assault in your eyes, because I don't see how any one would come to that.

No its not FELONY assault(look it up). At worse, its aggravated assault and that is what they were charged with since they used the deadly weapons of their tennis shoes. Its assault and battery. Thats it. Thats what they were charged with until the DA (after the kid had been released from the hospital by the way) change the charges to aggravated assault (with the deadly weapon being the kids tennis shoes) and attempted murder. And no, its not okay, but its a different fucking crime. You can't charge someone with first degree murder if he shot at a guy and missed. Thats kinda how life works. You get charged with what you did, not with what coulda happened. The black kid that got hit with the bottle COULD have been seroiusly injured, COULD have been killed by the glass shards. The kid that pulled his gun on them at the gas station COULD have shot them and killed them. He COULD have hit a gas tank and blown up someone else. They didn't. So once again, the crime at hand, which is a simple assault and battery charge has been pushed to aggravated second-degree battery and conspiracy which is bullshit. AND once again, the reason I am on Jingus (i can't speak for anyone else here) is that no one is arguing that "Hey, the black kids are innocent." The ENTIRE point of the outrage, marches and demostrations is that the punishment is not proportionate with the crime committed and race seems to be the determining factor in making the punishments more severe, ESPECIALLY when you consider every other event leading up to this. Fuck the nooses(although any town that says hanging nooses after a black kid decides to sit under a tree is a innocent prank is off putting), I am talking about the fights and incidents that happend the 2-3 days before this one. The others where one race was the perpetrator and got one level of justice but those of a different race got a harder judgement on them. That is the WHOLE debate. Saying that "Yeah, okay, this is messed up, BUT they did break the law so they aren't as innocent." and pretending this is a big ballyhoo over nothing because of the fight is ridiculous. Its like if a white guy shop lifts out of macy's on Friday and has no record and is given probation and on Saturday morning a black guy shoplifts the same item from the same macy's, has no record and is given 5 years in prison. No one involved is innocent in the slightest, but there is a problem with the "justice" being handed out there.
  16. How were they overzealous. Looking at the whole video, everyone else asked one question, kept it moving. This guy jumped line, grabbed the mike (which would have gotten him kicked out if not for Kerry saying let him speak) then kept on the mic after he was asked to leave when he didn't let Kerry answer any questions. He basically broght the entire thing to a standstill. What would you expect the outcome of that to be? They were escourting him out. They didn't say "HEY! Stop being an ass...You are under arrest." then tase him. They were escorting him out and then he pushed the cops that were escorting him out by slightly holding his arm. Then they tried to move him out by just carrying him out and he shoved off those cops. At which point on cop says "Now you are under arrest" and he starts shoving even more, screaming like a bitch for the other people in there to jump the cops I guess, and still wouldn't put his hands behind his back. He was asked at least 9 times that I heard to put your hands behind your back. He STILL wouldn't do it, then he got told 5 times that he would be tased if he didn't put his hands behind his back. So please highlight in this where they were overzealous in the slightest.

FOX Sunday Night - 2007/2008 Season

Dr. Rumack making a appearance, Peter making megs only part in the story that of the garbage worm alien thing, making an mpeg, the Robot Chicken conversation, Cleveland pretty much the entire episode, the discussion over the flaw in the Death Star, the guys talking about wanting a railing, there is nothing wrong with this couch, (for some reason) "Pi-chiooo....got cha" all made me laugh really hard. There were plenty of other things that really made me laugh, but Herbert took this ep down a notch. I agree, its time he goes the way of the Vaudeville guys.
  18. After Timmy boy performance in Die Hard 4, I'm not confident in HITMAN anymore. WHOA...WHOA goddammit. Are you suggesting that Die Hard 4 wasn't awsome? because I know you didn't actually say that, just making sure. Because Die Hard 4 was fucking awsome and I won't stand for anyone saying it wasn't. Awsome. Oh and yeah, I never want to see anyone actively calling for Vin Diesel to be in anything every again that doesn't consist of him being mute.
  19. So, if I am reading the sarcasm correctly, he shouldn't have been arrested because he was not shoving the cops that hard? Once again, for the slow people, it is against the law to push, or shove the cops. When the person does that, it is not outside the realm of reason to believe that he would punch or kick said cops, if acting out physically towards them is obviously his course of action. Now the cops have to protect themselves. So arresting the guy is what happens...you know, because he broke the law and all. If person still will not put his hands behind his back and still fights with cops: 1: Old way: Put a knee to the back of his neck so he can't stand up and give short, hard shots with the baton in the ribs until they move their arm to protect from the rib shots at which point others can grab the arm and cuff him. 2: New way: Tase him so that he goes limp for 10-15 seconds and cuff him. They went with 2. Those of you that are saying they were wrong are basically saying that the safety of the policemen involved was not important at all, only that of the guy that decided shoving them was the best course of action. And for the America will never change shit, let the little asshole try that shit anywhere else in the world and he would have gotten it worse and you fucking know it.
  20. Its funny that people are gleefully ignoring that the reason he was taken to the ground and tased is because he started shoving cops. And kept doing so. There is absolutely nothing to be angry or shocked about here.

Not thinking of the long term consequences is the nature of a highschool student. Bascially you are saying that a "but" should be entered into this case because they behaved like a bunch of highschool kids. there is no acceptable "but". This case is fucked up and should be pointed out as bullshit. I am just getting tired of the "yeah, its wrong, but...." No. There is no but. The fact is the boys were arrested and charged with assault just like they should have and they would have gotten probation at worse, but instead, this one fuck is trying to put them away for 20 years. No buts, no should haves, that is what the outrage concerning this case is about. That these boys could be and are suggested to be in prison until their late 20's or 30's because of a fight in highschool that resulted in a getting released from the hospital in 2 hours and attending a party that night.

And the Hall penalties were indeed the difference. I no doubt expect ESPN to just say Hall lost his cool, but they were two incredibly bad penalties that 1: Gave the Panthers 15 yards on a run play that had been stuffed because Smith got pressed at the line which is illegal now I guess, and 2: it was 4th down after Delhomme got sacked and they gave Hall a 15 yard penalty when Steve Smith followed him out to the secondary and they were jawing at each other. Ridiculous. They pretty much gave Carolina game, and too bad because Joey actually won over a crowd of Vick jerseys in the process. 0-3 now. Ugh.

It looked like he threw out his elbow on a short pass. Carr is doing a decent job. And if the signing of Byron Leftwich makes Joey Harrington play like this every week, then fine, sign that fucker long term. Great game from Joey, mostly because he stopped holding the ball and getting rid of it, and hasn't really been hit all day. 20-27 right now, and those bullshit penalties on Hall look like they very well could be the difference.
