Just randomly logged on at a friends...and since I didnt get to discuss last season, here are my comments on the offseason: Artest to Lakers: The lakers are a worse team now. Artest is a better all around player than Ariza, true, but Ariza is a better shooter when open, and he is useful when the ball is not in his hands. Artest is decent on offense but thinks hes great. He should be the 5th scoring option for the team, but I guarentee they will treat him like the third and that will screw things up. Plus, Ariza is a better perimeter defender at this point in his career, and better on the break. Simply put, the Lakers don't win the championship if not for Ariza last year. Shaq to Cleveland....for the thousandth time, slasher + post up guy = fail. If ilgaskassagusa could hit his open jumper, the Cavs are champions. If not, they lose to Orlando because the Magic can crowd the lane. Shaq will make sure everyone crowds the lane against the Cavs because his big ass will be down there taking up space. It doesnt work. It never works. Its not going to work here. Dumb trade. Glad he's out of phoenix. Boston is probably going to win the championship again because of their upgrades, Orlando is going to be worse becuase I don't think people realize how important Turk was to that team(BTW, dear god did Stan Van Gundy lose that title for them or what? Why the hell was Jameer Nelson in the series?) the Raptors have 9 guys that need the ball in their hands to be effective, the Hawks made a good trade for Crawford(he is a better ball hog than Flip Murray) then made a dumb move by resigning Bibby, then made a great move by signing Joe Smith....Good job this offseason guys....you still can't beat Cleveland though. What else has happened? Pretty much every team that sucked is going to keep sucking and every good team is going to be good. I predict either Suns/Spurs in the finals for the west and Boston in the East. There ya go.

So, after losing my job, keeping my moms house from being foreclosed on, and trying to stay afloat until I found another job, it just didn't work out. The assholes at my last job looked for a way to deny me unemployment, and found it. Through a bullshit loophole(basically they knew my old phone was cut off and I stupidly let them know I was using a prepaid phone. Since they knew there was no way to pull the phone records they claimed I didn't contact them starting with the date my original phone number was cut off...quite cute I must admit) So i had a appeals to the unemployment office which was basically my last chance and I got to tell ya, that shit is set up for the employer to win. I disproved all their arguments coming into it, so they just changed their story, and they STILL ruled in their favor. So, long story short, I lose everything now. Apartment, car, everything I own to a pawn shop, and I am going back home to live in a back room at my moms. In a pure shithole of a town. So since there is no internet access there, I am guessing this is it for a really really good while. Well, I had a good time here over the last...wow...6-7 years huh? hopefully the layoff won't be too long, although realistically I know where I am going to have to move and know the job market there. So chances are I will be working at Walmart for minimum wage pretty soon. But that is life. Its funny to look at where the year started and where it ended. pretty fucked year. But I guess you need the bad to appreciate the good. Or some bullshit like that. Anyway, guess i am signing off for a while. maybe talk to you guys again soon.

WOW. Big three by Marvin Williams to give the hawks a one point lead, then Pierce hits a fall away jumper to put the celtics back up one. Hell of a game. Boston ends the Hawks win streak, but man, hell of a game. Nothing to hang their heads about losing by one missing Josh Smith and Zaza Pachulia.

The play of Flip Murray and Maurice Evans are giving him something extra that he didn't trust last year. I say trust instead of have, because he had a bench, he just didn't know how to manage minutes. This year, he isn't as robotic when it comes to making subs, he is using a 9 man rotation. He is diong a much better job. I don't know if I attribute that to him or his new assistants after all the rest of them left in the offseason, but They are a better looking team no doubt. I also think hiring Mark Price as the shooting coach has done wonders from the team. BTW, Dwight Howard has 28 points and 16 rebounds in the 3rd quarter. Thats...kinda sick.

The refs have decided to take over the game in the 3rd quarter. Calling touch fouls all over the place. They let them be aggressive the first half and now in the 3rd, you can't get near each other.

The Hawks are still hanging with the Celtics despite Josh Smith not playing and Zaza going out in the first half with a shoulder injury. Team is REALLY thin in the front court now, having to move Marvin Williams over to the 4, but they are up on late in the third.

That is my favorite Buffy moment too. Especially since that ep kinda sucked. But from when he stabbed that guy with the pole to the end of the show...just fucking amazing.

Its a coaching staff that isn't full of morons. Using Jerious Norwood, Michael Turner being a beast, getting a real offensive line, Roddy White having another monster year a kinda solid defense...its all working right now. They are keeping it nice and simple for Ryan and he is making the plays. He is making some rookie mistakes, but I like what they are doing for him.

Losing Josh Smith is going to hurt though. he is out for at least 2 weeks. He has sorta been a monster this year. But hey, the Hawks are undefeated, the Falcons are 6-3....wow...gotta say, didn't see this coming.

This whole Steph Marbury thing is just dumb. I mean, I understand, the guy has been a fuck up. But he came into camp in great shape, ran the offense just as well if not better than the points playing now, and they aren't gong to trade, wave or cut him? Thats just....rude. Do think this is Mike D. being an asshole. They gave him time at the point in the preseason and he fucked around and played well. Now they are trying to embarass him into taking a huge pay cut to buy out the contract. I really hope it doesn't work.

No, i know the guy is a good corner. Always did. I thought he would get caught up in that over the top talking stuff sometimes on the field but whatever, being a cocky corner is nothing new. I will say, his first few games with Oakland he obviously was struggling with the system and getting worked. He didn't do ANYthing for like the first 3 games. Then over the next 5 games with Oakland, he had like 10 passes defended. Corners are going to give up some plays, especially aggressive man defenders in a scheme that plays ALOT of man. In Atlanta, Hall was clearly the best corner and was rarely thrown to. people assume he was because of his INT numbers or they look up what the top flight reciever did against the team and say "Well, so and so had 150 yards recieving this game, so obviously Hall sucks". But hall had a set side of the field in Atlanta. Opposing teams would just line guys up on the other end of the field from him and abuse Lewis Sanders or what other piece of crap we had on the other side of the field. And in a soft zone. He went from that to a aggressive man scheme and struggle at first. But there is absolutely no way you can say he was having a BAD season or SUCKing this year. At worse I think you have to admit it was a decent year. I personally think that if you look at the past few weeks, he has been having a above average run for now. Its a dumb move, a dumb cut of a guy that is actually producing for the otherwise shitty team, who's biggest problem is that their offence can't move the ball and its leaving the D on the field for WAY too long. He is going to be a great addition to some team. OH, and as for being a shit starter in Atlanta, the guy NEVER had ONE problem with Mora while he was here. But then he started saying it felt like Petrino was quiting on the team during the year. Then they cut Grady Jackson for no reason when he was being productive and Hall said again, it felt like Petrino was quitting on the team (which is what Warrick Dunn and Alge Crumpler, two guys that also never had a bad word to say agreed with). Then...Petrino quit on the team. The media was calling him a shit starter and was just being a prima donna because he had a coach that was putting his foot down. When in reality, he was right. They had a quiter at the head coaching position that phoned it in as soon as he saw vick wasn't going to be there.
