The Raptors clinch a playoff spot and I am happy. I like them over anyone in the East outside of Detroit and Chicago, the latter of which could go either way. All hail Bryan Colangelo, and may Rob Babcock be banned from ever setting foot near a basketball court for the rest of time.

That's funny, considering Tucker landed the better punches. Since when did the opponent losing their balance and falling at the end of a fight mean a victory? The fans cheer like it means something, even when the guy who fell won the fight in actuality.

Ooh, ooh, look inside, it's NOTES! What kind of notes?

I'm only 23 and have a rather pronounced receding hairline, so I kind of feel for Masters. Then again, I haven't heavily abused steroids so I guess it's not really the same. -
I too thought that stuck out. Funny stuff. That's the sad thing about these HoF ceremonies. They're all nice and fluffy and kind of make me feel good about WWE, but then I remember what petty, shallow, vindictive people run the company.

Well that's not strictly a DVD player is it?
-
Just imagine how horrible the Atlantic would be if the Raptors hadn't made such a huge improvement this year. Division leading, 4th seed, 6 games under .500 New Jersey Nets?

Nothing will beat Microsoft's hard drives. But, it's Microsoft afterall.

Surprising given his age and how bad he was last year. He's probably better than Raycroft at this point. So Toronto has Pittsburgh, NYR, Philly, NYI and Montreal left. Montreal has Buffalo, Boston, NYR and Toronto. NYI has Ottawa, NYR, Toronto, Philly, NJ. Carolina has Florida, Tampa, Atlanta and Florida again. NYI is done without Dipietro and Carolina is playing like crap. They do have the easiest schedule though, so who knows. Toronto will get slaughtered by Pitts, which negates their game in hand over Montreal. I like them over NYR/Philly/NYI though. Montreal will probably get hammered by Buffalo and beat Boston and NYR. That would put Toronto 1 point up going into the last game of the season versus Montreal. Crazy. Rather than predict a winner I'll just say it better not end in a shootout, because Montreal has gotten enough freebie shootout points already. I think Toronto would actually have more points than Montreal right now if not for the cheap shootout points. So uh, abolish the shootout rule.

My TV is slightly less than a year old and has a VGA port. It's nice to hook it up to the computer to watch movies and such. Beats any DVD player you can buy.

Ambiguous ending, how Japanese of them. I think she ended up forgiving him but didn't say so in as many words. None of that sub-plot was really concluded very satisfactorily

Has that ever really been a concern? The PS2 games weren't very pretty until San Andreas. Given that HD is all the rage these days, I was somewhat concerned that they would succumb to the hype and sacrifice the size and scope of the game in exchange for prettier graphics. I'd be disappointed if the game was smaller than San Andreas, considering the amount of content is probably the biggest draw to the game. -

Not much of a trailer, but the game sure looks nice. I thought they would do a New York style city too, and there it is. I just hope they don't sacrifice the size of the city in order to jack up the graphics. -
The Canucks really aren't a very good team, so Luongo doing what he's doing is more impressive than Brodeur. I like Luongo for Vezina.

Don't forget Thomas Bjorn blowing the '03 British Open, handing the victory to a complete nobody.

Oh Microsoft, $180 for a 120 gig hard drive. And the sad part is, people will buy it too

It looks like it's selling better than it did in NA, that's for sure. I wonder what the size of the European market is in terms of population, compared to US and Canada.

I was thinking more "Bake him a delicious cake to fatten him up before the fight", but it's all good.

On WO.com it says that PRIDE's rules will be changing to the UFC rules. That means no more kneeing/kicking a downed opponent, and elbows are legal. You can guess what every one of Fedor's opponents' strategy will be when they fight him now.

They should have given Caesarion the axe. That was such a lame cop-out. He should have been older than he was portrayed, so it's not like they'd be killing off a young child. Fictional stuff ruining historical authenticity = sucks.

I'd say that's really stretching. They only very vaguely sound similar in certain areas. There's a song called "Neutral" by the metal band Penumbra which sounds closer to the Zelda theme than the tango song. That song was made much later than the Zelda theme obviously, but just bringing it up because it's fantastic. I'd be more bewildered about how Daisuke Ishiwatari (Guilty Gear) could get away with using near direct rip-offs of metal songs for the Guilty Gear soundtracks. -
That was really awful. I don't mind the historical inaccuracies too much. Ok, Atia had been dead for 12 years by the time Octavian became princeps, but they used her for the Antony connection, so whatever. But what's with treating Octavian like a chump? I thought the historical side of the show was supposed to be about his rise to power and becoming Augustus, arguably the greatest Roman Emperor in their history. Yet he gets treated as a villain for the entire second season, right down to the very last minute. It's true that he was quite ruthless before his reign (although somewhat exaggerated in the show), but that was ridiculous. At least give the viewers at least somewhat of a full picture. I was most looking forward to the rise of Augustus, and they really botched it. Bah, I still say the first season was the best TV show ever Fuck HBO and BBC though. Caligula and Nero are right there, waiting for a TV show to be made.

Is the finale tonight or are they delaying it a week?

You can have Raycroft back if you want.

Heh, and that bad PK has been a thorn in their sides for years, especially since they typically have very little discipline. What they really needed this year was better goaltending. If they had gotten decent goaltending, they're easily in the playoffs right now. Wouldn't be cup contenders, but the playoffs are at least something.

Sony's only hope was their killer exclusives, and now that those appear to be dwindling, it seems like they have no hope. Even if they did have their exclusives, it would have been a long, uphill battle to take the top spot. No one knows what the future holds, but with how badly Sony has been handling things, I'm extremely doubtful about their ability to turn things around. It looks like the Wii with their severely underpowered hardware and significantly lower price-point could be the top selling console this generation, assuming they pump out a semi-respectable software lineup (and this is by no means a certainty).
