After you get "The Michael Vick Experience"

While Vick is not in the clear in this if he did her and knew he had herpes, she should've known better being that she was a health care worker. Unbelieveable. In this day and age, she should have had him wrap it up. She knew better. That should damage a civil suit, IMO.

    Bring back the KOTR?

I also favor the Champion Carnival/G-1 Climax format of "block" tournament. You could have the top 2 point getters from the Raw and SD blocks face off to rep their block and then the finals would be the winner of the Raw block vs. winner of the SD block= winner of KOTR gets title shot at Summerslam. With help from graphics being shown on TV showing who has how many points and where standings are, I see something fresh that WWE needs to capatilize on. Laurinitis has experience with this format, he should interject IMO. Of course, this means nothing in today's current climate.

    WWE Signs Masato Tanaka

People suggesting Sabu be there may need to be reminded that last time people saw him he was tipping the scales at around 160 ibs. He has lost a ton of weight from his hospital stay and is either finished in wrestling or a good 1-2 years from a comeback.

    50 Cent

"The Massacre" is good for what it is, a pop rap album. It has good production and the beats are excellent for the most part. It's cruising, car music. It's background music for when you and your friends are riding around town on a weekend or something. You keep it on and enjoy the beats, but you don't really care about what 50 has to say, because he isn't saying anything you haven't heard already on "Get Rich or Die Tryin". The only song on "The Massacre" that is remotely different than GRoDT is "A Baltimore Love Thing". I won't ruin the song for people who haven't heard it yet, but if you've heard it and see where the song is coming from, it's pretty creative from a guy like 50. 50 is not going to kill anyone lyrically, but he's smart about shit. He knows he's the hottest thing on the pop music scene right now, so he throws out "Piggybank" for the TRL heads to listen to. Of course, none of those TRL fans are going to go to a mixtape level to hear Jada or Joe's responses, so 50 wins amongst his biggest demographic, the kids. Jada and Joe's shots are not gonna be heard on radio or MTV. "Piggybank" is a weak dis record. He gives Joe and Nas about 2 bars a piece. That isn't shit. I've read after Nas heard the track, he was probrably not going to respond since the 2 bars on the song were dumb. Jada got about 4 bars, but all the real hip hop fans know Jada is a better MC hands down. To get off the subject a little, has anyone heard the dis records between Joe Buddens and Game? Pretty nifty stuff. I have heard a bunch of cats coming at Game and this was before his deal with 50 and before "The Documentary" came out. Game has it out now with a shitload of East Coast MC's as well as out West. In the spirit of seeing the Episode 3 trailer last night, it looks like Game has become the apprentice to 50's master.

    This week in the NBA

Hopefully Webber, Peja, and Mobley will be closer to full strength come friday for the shootout at the Arco Corral against the Suns. That is gonna be fun. (unless it turns out to be another 30 point ass whipping like it was in their preseason game)

Just got back from the Cavs-Warriors game. Let me just say it was an honor and privilege to watch LeBron drop his second triple double. He is the real deal and worth the price of admission.

Need some help finding a sample

For all the TSM Hip Hop fans, I am looking for the song that was the sample beat to Bone Thugs N Harmony's song "Dayz of Our Livez" on the Set it Off Soundtrack. I don't really care for BTNH's song, but have been dying to find what song it is they sampled. I could swear it was an old school R&B duet with Janet Jackson or something. Any help is much appreciated.

NFC Divisional Game #1: The thread

I don't get the Vick hate either. He's dynamite to watch even though he is not the classic pocket passer. As said in the broadcast, he is even more dangerous than the best running backs because the ball is in his hands every Falcon snap except special teams. He is a legit threat to get into the end zone every time the ball is snapped. That right there gets me amped to watch him play.

My quick analysis of the possible 4-way... T-Wolves get Eddie Jones and Donyell Marshall- T-Wolves end up looking best of all 3 and have the surest things. Jones needs to find his stroke though and Marshall will have trouble finding minutes behind KG, Eddie Griffin, and Wally. Heat gets Latrell Sprewell-this COULD be the best pick up, but who knows what kind of mind frame Spree is in. If he gets his shit back together and quits sulking, this is good for Miami. If the Heat get Spree in his current mood, this jeopardizes a deep playoff run IMO. Knicks get Jalen Rose-Washout. Rose will bring more scoring than Penny, but he provides zero defense. The guy can't keep a closed door in front of him. Knicks will still be the same sub .500 team. Raptors get Penny Hardaway- only thing I figure is this is a cap move that will eventually end up with Bosh getting a huge extention in a year or two. If he works on his game, Bosh can become a serious superstar in this league IMO.

    Someone explain the NO DQ...

All the points brought up here are valid in looking at WWE's lack of quality control. Not counting out Eugene "just because" and not DQ'ing Flair are just one of many things that show that quality control and minute details are overlooked when creative is booking this show. It also hurts the product. If we are not supposed to care about basic stips like counting someone out or DQ's when no mention of no-DQ was made, then why should the fans care about anything being presented on TV? Answer: they don't, which is why ratings and buyrates are in the toilet right now.

    Muhammad Hussan

I do not feel good about Hassan being put in with Lawler to do anything physical. If you've watched Lawler do matches the last 6 years or so, you'll know he sells for no one and works the match to where if he does job, he doesn't put the other guy over strong and will do something like pop right up after being counted down or insists on a fluke rollup with pulling the tights for the win so it looks more like a fluke than the other guys ability that beat him. As soon as I heard that Hassan was possibly being paired with King, I immediately thought to myself that Hassan is already going to have his legs cut from underneath him.

    Anyone up for Fantasy Football?

I emailed Harley and told him I wanted to keep Vick and Witten. Now I would also like to keep Muhsin Muhammed. I'll forfeit the other keepers for entry into the Madness rounds. Harley, you gotta check your emails.

    This week in the NBA

Methinks this is just spin control by Butler. On the replay, he clearly punched Dickau in the gut and would've done a lot more had he not been restrained by his teammates. Butler is just trying to cover his ass because the Lakers really need him on Sat. and he knows he won't be there now that he is officially suspended for the game. The Kings performance last night was pitiful. I was particularly disgusted that they got nothing going to the paint in the fourth. If you wanna talk about some bullshit, how about Doug Christie getting ejected after his collision with Wade. I know it's because it was his second tech, but he shouldn't have recieved the second technical. I think it was just a collision, and the refs blew it out of proportion. The collapse wouln't have seemed so bad had Shaq been hitting free throws, he was 3 for 13 from the line last night. Had he hit more, I don't think the game would've seemed so close. Kings really are thin on the bench and with Jackson not playing now for 3 months, this hurts them quite a bit. They'll still make the playoffs, but I think they are playoff contenders, not championship contenders.

    This week in the NBA

I'll be watching the Heat/Laker game moreso because I'm a huge hoops fan and not because of the Kobe/Shaq Dynasty/Falcon Crest drama the NBA and ABC are drumming up. The game will mean something to Heat and Laker fans, but in the end, it won't reflect on the bottom line-the NBA Championship. The Heat MIGHT make it to the finals and the Lakers WON'T make it to the finals, so this game is kinda just the drama. Being the huge hoops fanatic I am, I will be interested to see Kobe matching back up with former mentor Eddie Jones as well as the handful of Wade/Kobe matchups that will take place. Shaq and Kobe won't engage unless Kobe attacks the rim, which he will, but again, it's not like the Lakers automatically win the title or get a playoff birth if Kobe dunks on Shaq and it's not like the Heat are entitled to a ticket to the Finals if Shaq dumps 40 and 20 on his old team. I do feel bad for the Laker big men because Shaq will be motivated and Mihm, Odom, or whoever they throw at him is just not going to be enough. I actually thought the Lakers would win on X-mas, but with Caron Butler possibly getting suspended for the game for punching Dan Dickau last night, I think the Heat just recieved the advantage.

    Official Spiderman 2 Thread

I plan on seeing this either tommorrow or thursday at the latest. I'd see a midnight show tonight, but I gotta be up at 6:30am to go to work. From what I've seen, nothing but positive reviews. Ebert said it was the best comic book action movie he's ever seen and Harry Knowles gave it the usual drooling all over the screen review. Post your thoughts, reviews, and comments here.

I echo Slim's sentiments. All the Kings have to do now is figure out those dastardly T-Wolves and we'll be tough to beat, eh? Caught the Laker-Sonic game as well. Too bad for the Kobester, he played well, shot the ball well, he just didn't have enough firepower outside of himself to get the job done. Actually, this is not too bad since I do hate the Lakers.

    The Laker Soap Opera continues...

The blame for this goes to Kobe. Karl wanted to keep this in-house and away from the press. Bryant's people are the ones who went public with it. That's the source of this whole thing. BTW, here is an excellent take on this situation... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writ...ex.html?cnn=yes Misplaced anger Bryant's outrage over Malone's alleged come-on hypocritical You're thinking this must be one of those wild Internet rumors, a myth born in some cyberspace chat room. You know that Kobe Bryant seems to lead a bizarre, Playmakers-meets-Desperate Housewives sort of life, but surely this story can't be true. The whole thing sounds like one of those fabricated headlines from a supermarket tabloid. "KOBE: THE MAILMAN MADE A PASS AT MY WIFE." But it's true -- not necessarily the allegations, but the fact that Kobe made them. He says that Karl Malone made several suggestive comments to Vanessa Bryant at a Lakers game on Nov. 23 at the Staples Center. While Bryant was hitting jumpers against the Milwaukee Bucks, Malone was in the stands, supposedly hitting on Kobe's wife. Malone has not yet commented publicly on the accusations. Let's get the obligatory point out of the way: Making inappropriate comments to another man's wife obviously is unacceptable behavior. Don't try this at home, kids. If Malone, who is married, did what the Bryants say he did, he should be ashamed. But the story here isn't Malone -- it is, as always, Kobe. How exactly does a man who admitted to committing what became one of the most public acts of adultery in recent memory manage to work up a sense of outrage over a few out-of-line comments? The Bryants say Malone supposedly suggested that Vanessa come over and give him a hug, and said he was "hunting little Mexican girls." (Vanessa Bryant is of Mexican ancestry.) Inappropriate? Sure. Bad taste? Absolutely. But it's doubtful that any of the alleged comments were as traumatic to Vanessa Bryant as these two little words: Eagle, Colorado. "What's wrong with you? How could you?" Kobe reportedly said to Malone. It's not hard to imagine Vanessa saying those very words to Kobe about a year ago. The fact that Bryant has hurt his wife doesn't mean he shouldn't try to protect her from further pain, of course. But it's hard to understand why he would make such a private matter public. It's just another example of the odd choices Bryant has been making since that fateful night in Eagle. From divulging a dirty little secret about Shaquille O'Neal supposedly paying women to keep quiet about his trysts with them, to reshaping the Lakers' roster into Kobe and a bunch of guys, to this latest flare-up with Malone, Bryant has shown a troubling tendency to make the spectacularly wrong decision. Lakers owner Jerry Buss and general manager Mitch Kupchak have to be wondering if they made the wrong decision themselves in choosing Bryant in his power struggle with O'Neal and former coach Phil Jackson. As supremely talented as Kobe may be, he's also one of those players who is always surrounded by drama, usually of his own making. It's hard to believe that almost everyone thought Bryant was on the verge of his fourth NBA title last June, because he has never seemed as far from another title as he does right now, as a lone superstar trying to carry his team into the playoffs while he fights these juicy little battles in his personal life. It's difficult to see Kobe living this soap opera life forever without it affecting his performance or distracting his teammates. We may never know exactly what Malone said to Vanessa Bryant. Kobe's and Vanessa's version of events may be totally accurate, although the comments they attribute to Malone are certainly open to different interpretations. But one thing that's clear is that a new controversy seems to spring up around Kobe on a regular basis, and the pattern shows no signs of letting up. The once-mighty Lakers will continue to rise and fall on the performance of their bizarre prince, hoping that they will be able to survive the next Kobe crisis. With Kobe, the next one is never far away. Sports Illustrated senior writer Phil Taylor writes about a Hot Button topic every Monday on SI.com.

So Bonds admits to using steriods "Unknowingly"

This is a witch hunt for Bonds. Don't get me wrong, I believe Bonds knew exactly what he was doing, but IMO so did the others. We all know Giambi admitted. Sheffield pulled the "I didn't know" card (yeah fucking right) If we are going to * Bonds records, we should go ahead and do it with McGwire and Sosa as well. You are high if you think those 2 were not on stuff stronger than andro and creatine, especially McGwire.

Clippers are for real this year, guys. Brand and Maggette always bring the goods, Bobby Simmons has come out of virtually no where to become a legit small forward, Livingston will be the shiznit when he returns from injury and the glue holding this all together is Marko Jaric. This guy can flat out play. Livingston is the future for the Clips, but Jaric is playing well now and I think will be good trade bait in a year or two. Nice to see the Kings back on track after getting 0wned by their daddy's, the T-Wolves. Peja has been in a better mood lately and seems to have put his trade request pout to the side. Bobby Jackson playing better has also got the Kings back to where they need to be.

With the exception of the collapse in Cleveland, the Suns have looked very good and are deserving of #1. Seattle has a legit beef for #1 as well.
