I really hope the league doesn't fuck around and start LA/SA series on sunday or something like that. If LA takes care of Houston by Tues or Wed, the SA series should start on Thurs or Fri. I hate it when they wait until Sunday to start a series when it could've been started several days earlier. It's looking like the Nuggets have some fight in them. Can the T-Wolves make the kill? The Kings couldn't play much worse than they did in Game 3 against the Mavs, but will they step up to stop the offensive rebounding and knock out the turnovers? Doubt it. Mavs in 6. The Pacers are hoping Miami finishes off the Hornets soon because they don't want the 7-10 day layoff that'll leave them stale.

I'll download the 2 good matches and scrap the rest of this show. No way I'm plunking down any good amount of change to get a bunch of discs that mean exactly shit to me. This was a 2 match show. I'll get them for free somewhere. Anyway I can stick it to WWE, I will. Fuck WMXX.

Nice to see that sanyo has no real proof that HHH is racist except that the man sounded "convincing" in a promo during the Booker T program. Real indicator of racism there, buddy. Man, next you'll be telling me wrestling is real. WWE isn't racist, but they are clueless as all hell.

What old Hip Hop/Rap albums still get regular play in your CD player? I'm talking about albums at least 4 years or older that you still listen to something from at least once a month. Here is what I still rotate. DMX "It's Dark and Hell is Hot" 2Pac "All Eyez on Me" Dr Dre "The Chronic" Nas "Illmatic" Outkast "ATLiens" What about you?

We might have to bust out the broomsticks for the Knicks and Grizzlies.

I was wondering from the hip hop fans of this folder what they thought of Dead Prez. I've heard that their music is pretty good, but the content is of the "Kill Whitey" variety and is very militant. I'm wondering if they are more like a modern day Public Enemy, or if they are better or worse. I've only heard one track from them, but was wondering if any of their other work is worth picking up.

I miss when they used to justify a camera in the back. Now I'm supposed to accept that there are 2-5 people in the back conversating and they don't notice a cameraman, director, boom mike operator, etc. What happened to "our camera's have picked up something in the back" so there is justification for it being there? Since the Russo era started this, wrestling has had this infatuation with having the invisible camera crew picking up on things in the back with no explanation or justification. All I ask for is an explanation.

Although I know this is a delayed reaction, but Fuck MoleWhedon for starting up the exact same thread I had started up 2 days before this one. I guess I know who has the favoritism/juice around here.

I think Eli and Archie are bitch made. I also think the supposed bad O-line excuse is bullshit too. It's not like I saw Flutie or Brees on their back the entire season or anything. The Mannings don't want Elie there because they don't want to see their son handing the ball off 25-30 times a game to Tomlinson. They want their son throwing that football as much as possible and that won't happen in SD.

I wonder if any road teams will win tonight. I think the Hornets have the best shot to pull a series into 1-1, but with the new problems surfacing like Baron Davis's ankle and the talk of Mashburn possibly retiring, the Heat may end up taking game 2 as well. As for the low scoring Mavs/Kings game 2, it was more that both teams were cold and their second chance points and layups which usually go wouldn't drop in for either team. Mike Bibby basically willed and won that game for the Kings along with the big jumper from Brad Miller with 19 seconds left.

Eugene's character to change...
Dangerous A replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm all for more Regal on TV. Hell, I think WWE missed a grand oppurtunity for Regal to reprise his role as a GM. He should be GM for SD right now, IMO. Sure, Regal was Raw talent, but it's not like fans take jumps seriously anymore (WWE sure doesn't). As far as Dinsmore, the only way his character will get better is if they drop the stupid retard act. -
Eugene's character to change...
Dangerous A replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
I still don't like Eugene. Why couldn't they just have Dinsmore debut as a good technical wrestler? Why do they pigeonhole him as a retard? He could've been the next Dean Malenko, now he's just the next WWE clown retread. R.I.P. Nick Dinsmore's career. -
Hubie deserves it. I'm disappointed that Terry Porter hasn't gotten much lip service when it comes to Coach of the Year talk. It all surrounds Hubie and Jerry Sloan. What Sloan did was amazing this year considering what the Jazz lost, but the Bucks were not supposed to make the playoffs this year and they did. My hats off to Terry Porter.

On the first page of this thread, I predicted the Spurs to sweep. The Spurs defense can and will keep them in games, especially on the road, when their offense isn't firing on all cylinders. The Lakers have a good chance of sweeping as well, but I think the Rockets will be good for one game in that series.

Eventually, the crowd will turn on this fucktard and hopefully his character will be off my TV and relegated to the chapters of WrestleCrap 2. He's over in terms of the crowd laughing at him, but that means shit. In his quarter numbers, he sucks as a tv draw. This character won't draw a dime. He's a lame comedy character. Just cause he pops the 3 quarter empty arena doesn't mean he should be pushed.

Comedy Central's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups
Dangerous A replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Chris Rock is good, but not at 5. He is more like a high teens, low twenties guy. Maybe a 10 at his highest. No way in hell he should outrank Eddie Murphy. Eventually, Dave Chapelle will overtake Rock. -
It'll be interesting to see the follow up from this ppv since it was supposed to be about elevating Benoit and Orton with a dash of Benjamin. If the focus is on those 3, this show may not suck. However, if Eugene is in more than one segment, it automatically moves the show to the bottom of my scale. I can't stand Eugene. I'd rather start up and be president of the Randy Orton Fan Club than support or cheer on the most moronic character since Bastien Booger.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread
Dangerous A replied to Spicy McHaggis's topic in Television & Film
I hope so, but I get the grim feeling she'll show symptoms or something in the last or second to last episode so that they continue with the traditional "in the end, things turned out alright except..." ending. Perhaps she'll end up living, but the trauma of watching all the people suffer and die will make her quit CTU in the end. -
The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread
Dangerous A replied to Spicy McHaggis's topic in Television & Film
Guess its bad luck to be Jack's boss. First Mason, now Chapelle. I get the dreadful feeling Michelle may still get off'd, but I can hope against this. I think she's a hottie and there aren't enough of them on this show regularly except Kim, and her dimbulbness makes her less attractive. I can see Jack and Michelle potentially going into a season 4 all fucked up with Jack having Chapelle hanging over his head along with all the other shit and Michelle having the hotel incident and Gael hanging over her head. -
Perhaps WWE could do itself a favor and not have all tag matches follow the same exact formula as well. Part of that problem is it's hard to build a good, in depth story that a tag match is capable of doing with only 3-5 minutes to do it. I think the structure and formula of a tag match needs to be overhauled so that it isn't just trading moves, face in peril, tease to hot tag, get hot tag, count out about 30 seconds before finish involving outside interference and/or ref bump. Tag team wrestling has a lot more storytelling to be had, but WWE doesn't tap into it enough. My two favorite matches of all time are tag matches and part of that is because there can be multiple layers of stories and psychology going on at once. I'm not saying WWE should copy what the Japanese or Lucha promotions are doing in regards to tag team wrestling, but they should at least look outside the box a little in regards to structure. Another thing that may help is if more main event caliber players were to get more involved in the tag team scene. It's sad that a lot of the main event guys like HHH and Taker feel that tag team wrestling is beneath them. I look at Benoit and HBK teaming up recently to try to take the tag team gold from Flair and Batista. When the false finish happened, all of a sudden, the tag belts meant something for the first time since forever because Main event guys cared about the belts. It made me care about the tag belts since the brand split. It's too bad that the Creative team missed a grand oppurtunity to heat up Benoit vs Shawn by having them act all goody goody in the end instead of being mortally pissed at each other. The point is that if the main guys give a shit about it, the public will too.

As per my predictions... I think the Spurs will win again tonight. It won't be as lopsided as Hubie and Co. will make some adjustments, but I think the Spurs will win in a close one. I'm thinking the Lakers will win tonight as well and will win by double digits. They were kind of embarassed by their game 1 performance and will want to assure the league that they are still a powerhouse to be reckoned with. The Rockets simply do not have enough talent and depth and since this is a series, I think you will start to see the matchup problems start to become more clear.

I agree with you, Dogg. It's bullshit. Artest put the brakes on and was only 3-4 steps away from the bench before pulling back. When watching the tape, Artest ended up with no influence on what was going on on the court. He didn't antagonize or even try to break it up. It's bullshit. While they are at it, why dont they start suspending guys who jump out on the court after a clutch basket when there is still time left in the game. Sure it's only for a second or two, but if the league wants to get all anal about the never leave the bench rule, why not enforce it to the fullest?

Amazing how I just read on page 2 of this thread that the Spurs are boring to watch, yet the Lakers and Rockets give us a net burning 73-72 finish? The only reason the Spurs game was boring was because they whipped the shit out of the Grizz. While the ending of the Laker/Rocket game was exciting because it came down to the last possession, the other 47 minutes were damn near unbearable. The Mavs/Kings series will cure the offensive deficiencies. That is if you hate watching defensive struggles and enjoy watching guys casting a shitload of 3's and playing matador "D".

John Woo is more renown for his action flicks. I'm not sure if he even directed a kung fu movie. This sucks in my opinion. Rock has had the worse luck in choosing movies and John Woo has only one watchable American film (that being Face/Off). Between the two, I am anticipating a stinkeroo.

I still voted for WMXX, but his WM18 match with Jericho is vastly UNDERRATED. The crowd being deflated didn't help, but I recently found myself rewatching this match and it is a lot better than I remembered. It holds up well is all I'll say about that.
