Your weekly "Bitch about Shane" thread

This Shane/Kane feud has been nothing but bad. It will not end good for anyone, especially the fans. You can guarantee that.

I posted it in the OAO fantasy basketball league thread. I think it was out at least a week or two? I forgot my lineup for the rookies game and since I'm at home, I can't look at it because of tech problems with my PC. My lineup is almost like yours, except on day 2 I had Jarvis Hayes and where you have Chris Kaman, I have Chris Bosh or TJ Ford. Again, I don't remember. It's cool though because you can change it the night before.
  3. And none of you bitch ass motherfuckers even bothered to read or give feedback about THE NEW TSM NBA COLUMN BY ME!!!! Fucking jerkoff pieces of shit, every last one of you!!! GO TO FUCKING HELL!!!!

The OaO 2003-2004 NBA Season Thread!

Tommorrow's games are Sixers vs Heat Spurs vs Suns Mavs vs Lakers My predictions are... Sixers over the Heat. The Heat still need to get adjusted to new coach Stan Van Gundy. Most of last year's Sixer's regular rotation is back except Glenn Robinson. He won't start clashing with AI until about December. I call it Sixers by 7. Suns over the Spurs. Tony Parker is doubtful for the opener. Stephon Marbury may put up big numbers. The athletic Suns will be jacked for home opener against the Champs, who have to still get adusted to new personnel. Suns by 5. Lakers over Mavs. The Mavs still haven't picked up any stoppers or anyone who can inspire them to stop. The Mavs have a mental block in Staples, backed up by the Mavs squandering a 27 point 4th quarter lead in last year's first Staples outing. The Mavs will put some major points on the board, but the Lakers have not one, not two, not even three, but four all stars who will get calls down the stretch in a home game. Lakers by 8.

    Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs won't go undefeated, but they probrably won't lose more than 3 games for the season and will at least make it to the Super Bowl. From there, it's anyone's guess. I just don't see the Chiefs losing at home to anyone in the playoffs or regular season, but neutral field in a big setting like the Super Bowl, anything is bound to happen.

Did WDI go out of business?

I was just there. Thank God for SNKT. I need my porn links, dammit!
  7. I'm not complaining. I said so myself in the thread. I am just here to pimp my new TSM NBA column, "The NBA Beat" by "Dangerous" Thomas Amey Jr!! Opinions and feedback, please.

I just saw that Caron Butler is out 2 weeks, so I had to get him out of my lineup for tommorrow's VGM. Here is my new lineup. PG Gary Payton, LAL SG Emanuel Ginobili, SA SF Lamar Odom, MIA PF Tim Duncan, SA C Shaquille O'Neal, LAL Cch Randy Ayers, PHI I just hope Ginobili is good to go. He is listed as probrable. I actually think I made an upgrade from Butler to Odom. Odom is the #1 man on this team right now and he will get the chance to put up some big numbers for me. BTW, is anyone else playing that other nba.com game, the Rookies? I decided to play that one too. It's free, plus if I can win big, I get 5 authentic NBA rookies jersey's. (hear that, Alfdogg?)

    Anyone play poker?

My problem is I fold like an accordian. It also chips my hide when I fold and see someone clearing the pot and I had the best hand on the table. Texas Hold'Em is the ultimate feel out game. While it does give me a rush, I still have a long way to go before I could even consider myself an ok player.

    Anyone play poker?

DrTom's right. Texas Hold' em is the way to play poker. I play either in Reno (2 hour drive from where I live) or this small card house about 5 minutes from where I live. I used to just play 5 and 7 card stud, but it gets old. You haven't lived until you've played Texas Hold'em in a casino though.

The OaO 2003-2004 NBA Season Thread!

I wouldn't look into the Kobe/Shaq thing too much in regards to this season. However, I definitely see this effecting Kobe coming back after this season and possibly finding a home some place else. (provided he isn't convicted of sexual assault) Kobe and Shaq have had other blowups and Phil and the other vets will make sure it doesn't interfere with the season. I do see Kobe really testing the free agent market next year. He has already won championships with Shaq and Co. and he knows he can do it with him if he stays. Problem is with these latest comments. Kobe, who is mighty young and will have 3-4 championships, might actually leave to show HE can be the top dog on a team and win championships a la MJ. Kobe will only play in big markets though, so don't be surprised if the Knicks are already thinking about sending Allan Houston and another player or two for Kobe in an off season trade next summer. You read it here first.

    WWE feedback

I only got to skim through the show. Great stuff by all. Question though: Am I now a member of the Deadly Alliance or am I still just an assassin for Dan Black or both? I didn't get the chance to read in depth, but know I was included at the end for some post match fisticuffs.

Ki and RoH Seemingly split ways

I wonder what gave? I can't blame Ki. He was given a shitty title reign and then jobbed to lame ass Xavier, who was then given a stronger run even though he sucked.

    BENIOT/Angle From RR 2003

What I meant for the world was in ALL of wrestling. (North America, Japan, Mexico) I haven't had the oppurtunity to watch AmDrag/London 2/3 falls, so my scope is limited to saying Kobashi/Misawa is the best match I've seen this year. However, I wouldn't rate Kobashi/Misawa the full monty of snowflakes. It had more emotion than Angle/Benoit and some killer headdrops, but some psych did start to take a back seat. I'd put Misawa/Kobashi at **** 1/2 with Angle/Benoit right at **** even. Again, I haven't had the chance to watch any ROH from this year or any high profile Lucha matches.

The OaO 2003-2004 NBA Season Thread!

I won't say anything about the Spurs because I think Mr J could be right on that one, but the Kings? Give me a break. The Kings lost too many key players? When was this? Did they lose Webber for the whole season? Stojakovic? Bibby? Jackson? Miller? Newsflash: Hedo Turkoglu and Scot Pollard were not key players. The Kings played most of last year without Pollard due to injury and then not cracking the regular rotation and Turkoglu lost his minutes to Jim Jackson because his game was falling off. What'll keep the Kings from being a legit threat this year is what's kept them from being champs the last 3 years... 1) Not rebounding the ball enough 2) Injuries to the REAL key people like Webber and Stojakovic. My preseason pic to go all the way is still the Lakers, but to say that the Kings aren't threats in the West is absurd.

    BENIOT/Angle From RR 2003

Benoit/Angle is a solid **** match. Definitely the North American MOTY, although I haven't seen Homicide/Corino. I have seen XXX/AMW and Benoit/Angle is better. If Benoit/Angle gets higher than ****'s because of Benoit's standing ovation, then I don't know how you would rate Kobashi/Misawa from March in Japan. The ending of that match had some fans visibly crying for joy because of the outcome. Kobashi/Misawa is MOTY for the world.

"Now that HHH & Stephanie are married, what happens to the WWE Superstars?" Oh, I don't know. Go and put on the same shitty wrestling show they've been puttin on before HHH and Steph got married?

  24. Here are the news and notes from the brand new Observer. I encourage everyone to try to get this issue, as it is the one that reflects on Stu Hart and Road Warrior Hawk. -Rock's participation in Mania just dwindled even more as he's being pursued by MGM to play the lead role in the movie "Be Cool", a follow up on "Get Shorty" that will start John Travolta. The movie starts filming in January and Rock's role would be that of a bodyguard and singer who is gay and wins lots of fights. If he takes this one, that'll be five projects in a row with no down time. -HHH was a big hit in the movie "Blade:Trinity". According to a source on the set, everyone loved working with him because of his work ethic and how hard he's studying the acting world. He spends his free time asking questions, watching and observing. The other stars and director were so impressed with how hard he's working they are extending the scene where he is killed ina a fight and his character is givent more focus in the movie. New line Cinema is looking at him for more roles in the future. -Road Warrior Animal is already being contacted to do Confidential. -Nash vs Goldberg was scrapped and replaced with Bautista vs Goldberg.Nash is scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Jho, the same doctor who operated on Kurt Angle. -Spike Dudley is out of action with a bad back and neck. He's experiencing numbness in his arms, which is not good. -Even though there has been a slight turnaround in quality on Raw the last 2 weeks, it may be because there has been more encouragement of the agents to speak up at the production meetings. Both HHH and Michaels were at the production meetings making changes in the show. The 10/20 show that aired was very different from what was scripted. -Snicker's Cruncher, YJ Stinger, and Subway have all signed on as official sponsers of WMXX. -There are plans for at least a house show program with Lesnar vs Benoit. Thoughts? Comments? Feelings?
