Yes, they did get rid of Young talking about Detmer as well. I wonder if the NFL Countdown guys will address the situation on sunday or if they'll dance around it. My money has them dancing.

My point for bringing it up isn't that Irvin's opinion has validity, but that ESPN edited out his reactions in an attempt to say that all their announcers were against Rush from the get go. Nothing more.

I meant suspect numbers from this season. I never said anything about his ENTIRE CAREER being suspect. All I was pointing out was that Irvin said 3 or 4 times that he thought Rush had a point while Young and Jackson rebutted and ESPN edited his reactions out, making it seem that none of the other announcers agreed with Rush. I bet now Irvin wishes he didn't do that, but with the magic of editing, he didn't.

I am more in favor of a live draft, but if offline is what's selected, I won't be offended.

About the Rush thing here... I would've thought that being a member of the media that he would've known that as soon as you play the race card in ANYTHING, you will immediately be scrutinized as a racist, regardless of whether you are right or wrong. Rush should've been smarter about this. If he didn't like McNabb as a quarterback, he should have just let McNabb's suspect numbers do the talking instead of bringing up the race card. While I do think that Rush had a bit of a point, he was stupid in bringing up race when talking about football. Just stupid on his part. BTW, when ESPN was showing the replay of what Rush said, I was intrigued by the editing job. See, I saw the show live when Rush said it and Michael Irvin was audibly saying how he thought Rush had a point in between Jackson and Rush's arguments. They completely edited out Irvin's reactions and only cut to Jackson and Young's rebuttal's against Rush. When Rush said what he said, it registered as a blip on my radar that this is kind of out there for some football talk, but I didn't think anymore of it until it was all brought to a head yesterday by the McNabb press conference. End game.

I want in. I've never done fantasy basketball head to head, always rotisserie, but this sounds like it could be fun.

While I am not of fan of Coey on a personal level, I am a fan of his writing. He's a very good match reviewer. That said, who cares if someone is taking shots at you from their board. It's his board and he can do what he wants to. Same here. If Dames or whoever felt like starting a Coey is a douche thread, it doesn't seem to offend anybody. In one of my league's other than Smartmarks FF, I have a quarterback issue. I have 3 ok/decent QB's, but can only start one. Here they are. Trent Green-who is facing a fairly weak Houston team. With the news that Priest Holmes has bruised ribs and is questionable, this means Green may get more throws against a suspect defense. Tom Brady- I started him in week 1 and look where that got me. I benched him in week 2, and then he blew up. Which Tom Brady will show up? The Pats play the Jets this week. Matt Hasselbeck- Not sure what to make of him just yet. He has 400+ yard passing potential along with TD's, but am still hesitant to start him over my other 2 QB's. What would you do?

I went toe to toe with Ripper in the middle of August about this. I kept telling him that Shane is just gonna devalue Kane that much more. He kept insisting that he'll help Kane get over as a monster. Well, we are now into the middle of September and Shane has not gone away and in the process has made RVD out to look like a total pussy. *watches Shane beat the ever living shit out of Kane on Raw last night as Kane covers up* I believe I feel vindicated in my argument against ol' Ripper boy. If you don't think that the Last Man Standing match isn't going to be a battle of attrition with Kane selling for Shane and Shane looking like a valiant warrior at the end of this thing, you haven't watched enough WWE in the last 3 years. Fuck Shane and fuck WWE.

Very good movie, IMO. Only a notch below Desperado. I will definitely have to get the "Mariachi" trilogy when it's offered up on some special edition deluxe DVD set.

Once Upon a time... did indeed rule. A good movie with a twisting plot that you had to follow. Cabin Fever sucked balls. Avoid at all costs in a theatre. What killed this movie for me was there was NO payoff at the end. There was something there and this movie blew it. It is worth it to check out when it's available for rental for the hotness that is Cerina Vincent. For those of you who aren't familiar, Cerina Vincent is the topless gal from Not Another Teen Movie. She goes topless again in Cabin Fever, just not as prolonged.

I have another fantasy football league where I have a RB issue. I was hoping to see what everyone else thinks. In my league, we run with 2 RB's. I have 4. They are... LaDanian Tomlinson-faces the Broncos Ahman Green-faces the Lions Charlie Garner-faces the Bengals Garrison Hearst-faces the Rams If you are wondering how the hell did I end up with so many good backs, it's because we are only an 8 team league and I was 1 of only 3 people who drafted live, so I carved up the draft for RB's. Anyhoo, I am not sure of which 2 to start. LaDanian had a disappointing first game, but is still one of the top 5 backs in the game and faces Denver. Ahman had good stats last week, but fumbles quite a bit. Garner is facing a weak Bengals team, but hopefully he gets yards and TD's through recieving, because the Raiders hardly run anymore. Hearst had very good stats too and usually gets good cracks at the endzone, plus he'll be facing a Ram team that allowed Tiki Barber 146 rushing yards last week. (that is not a knock on Tiki, its that the Rams aren't good at stopping the run) Right now, I have Tomlinson and Garner starting, but should I reconsider on one or both and put in an Ahman Green or Garrison Hearst? What would you do?
