I guess a guy who has watched literally thousands of movies is perhaps entitled to a few head scratcher reviews. It's just on a personal level for me, Van Helsing was very, very, very bad and I just couldn't see how anyone who has watched so many movies like that crap. It's easily the worse movie for me since Batman and Robin. I even caught it a second time at a friends house on cable and it didn't do well the second time either. In fact, it was worse.

I still have not forgiven Ebert for his thumbs up review of "Van Helsing".

I'm trying to find all this hate that people have towards Angle. It seems to me there are a lot of absolute-ists (I know it's not a word) around here. I see criticisms of Angle's work, but not a bunch of flat out hatred. It seems if you are critical of Angle, you must hate him. This seems to go with not just this argument, but most of the other wrestling threads here. I think a lot of the criticisms lobbed toward Angle and his matches are justified, yet these criticisms don't deter me from enjoying Angle's work. Same with anything involving wrestling. I guess I don't see where criticism=hatred.

I remember someone from the Torch saying that Russo is a piece of shit for promoting wrestling and then slapping the "work of God" on it. Russo wouldn't want to do something in the name of God that would help someone like build a homeless shelter or feeding the homeless. Hell, he isn't even counceling wrestlers or former wrestlers from the horrible things the business does. Instead, he promotes wrestling, says it's in the name of God, then turns a profit. Whatever. Hulk Hogan recently said about HBK "There is a lot of the old Shawn Michaels in the new Shawn Michaels". I think the same thing can be said about Vince Russo.

Then they'd better change the opening date, which right now is scheduled for mid-May. That is the launch of the summer movie season and I can tell you Kane's movie will play to empty theatres when going up against the likes of X-Men 3 and MI:3. Cena's movie has been pushed back to fall. They are waiting the results of those movies before slating the budget for Austin's movie because if the first 2 flicks fail, Austin's movie will get a smaller budget and be a direct to video release. In other words, Austin will be doing a direct to video movie.

What is the title of CM Punk's ROH theme?

There isn't a huge influx of NFL football coaches sons dropping dead. There is for Pro Wrestlers. That's why the media came to the Guerrero conclusions and have backed off of Dungy's son conclusions.

Glad to hear they are re-airing them. I wanted to check this out, but by the time I got around to Tivo it, they were already half way in and I wanted to start from the beginning with this show.

I wouldn't mind seeing HBK-Rock myself, but Rock isn't too fond of HBK, so boo-hoo to me.

The latest Torch podcast and WON say there is now less than 50% chance of Hogan/Austin happening because Austin isn't interested in doing a job to Hogan and Hogan is not interested in jobbing to anyone anytime soon either. It would take a ridiculous amount of money to get one of them to job. It's a money match, but I won't cry if it doesn't happen.

This is more a WM card that we are LIKELY to see as opposed to a WM card I'd LIKE to see because WWE will never give me a card I'd truly like to see from top to bottom. WWE Championship: Cena vs HHH World Heavy. Championship: Batista vs Orton Interpromtional match: Kurt Angle vs Undertaker- Olympic Gold medalist vs. the undefeated WM streak Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin RVD vs Edge (based off of both men's "worked shoots" on each other) US Heavyweight championship: Booker T vs Bobby Lashley IC Interpromotional match: JBL attempting to take IC title to SD from Ric Flair Rey Mysterio vs newly turned heel Chris Benoit Chris Masters & Carlito vs Big Show & Kane Melina vs Trish vs Micky James- 3 Way for the Women's title

I'm out of TSM's fantasy league, but am in a rotisserie league outside of TSM. Here is my situation of "who should I start"... WR/RB option.. Willis McGahee or Kevin Jones and for defense... Washington or Philadelphia

I'd say based on what they've done in their careers, Angle is better. However, as of right now in the very present, I'd say Daniels has been better. When both men's careers are over, Angle will have the last laugh and be remembered far more than Daniels. However, there has been a tremendous dropoff for Kurt since he switched over to Raw. Lack of quality opponents and he just seems off since the switch. I haven't been impressed at all with his program with Cena and there really isn't much more Angle and HBK can do together that wasn't already covered in theri previous matches. Daniels has been just superb since the summer and has continued the momentum, so he gets a present nod.

Take the trade, bob. Shaq is a health risk at his weight and age and Speedy Claxton is not going to get meaningful minutes as long as Chris Paul is healthy. Webber is having a surprisingly good year, but is the same injury risk as Shaq. Still, Dalembert, when he plays, is good for boards and blocks and Mobley is good for 3's and a decent amount of assists. Pull the trigger, I say.

After Benoit took a match in the best of 7, you can scratch him off your want list. Heyman has been given a contract offer, but he has yet to reject or accept it. Not sure if it's more or less than the $250,000 a year he was getting in the current contract.

Because Sting was a star (key word "was") during the Attitude/nWo era, therefore he must mean money. I don't think TNA had a real shot at Benoit anyway. It's weird because basically we are never going to see Benoit in a top spot for awhile, if ever. If he stays in WWE, no way he gets re-pushed back or near the top. All that talk you hear in the WWE folder about how if they just have Benoit do such and such and so and so, he could main event whatever ppv is wishful thinking. That is a pipe dream. WWE basically views him as a mechanic who can have good matches with anyone to help anyone they want to look good look good. If he had gone to TNA, he'd be in main events or near the top, but he would be fed to Jeff Jarrett.

If most backstage hate the way things are going then why not speak up? Vince can't bury everyone.... can he? Not gonna happen anytime soon. You'll always have someone who will do whatever it takes to get in the good graces of Vince. Guys like Taker and HHH will ultimately do whatever is asked out of loyalty. They can actually voice against whatever with no penalty though. However, if Vince gets it in his head he wants to do something, they're doing it. Katie Vick is a prime example. HHH was against doing it (yeah I know, shattering smark lore) however, Vince was adamant about doing it (as well as Kevin Dunn). HHH got them to make it the BUTT of a bad joke so he didn't come off looking as bad, but HHH saw the writing on the wall with that particular angle.

Most of this stuff is on the ECW DVD's as either a match that appears on the DVD or Easter Egg. The omission of Raven is not by accident.

Billy, the reason that man painted the walls with his brains is because the Cell REALLY is Hell. "Get it", Billy?

Why the bad vibes? Perhaps it's a commentary on how poorly promoted the PPV was.

Tivo is a wonderful machine. I fast forward through matches that start to suck or I know suck as well as stupid skits that go no where. If it hadn't been for Tivo, I wouldn't watch. I cannot sit and watch the current product without having the option to fast forward. About the suicide angle. It was dumb. It wasn't offensive, but it wasn't entertaining either. They've burned out all their shock and controversy. It's sad and pathetic to watch Vince and Co. basically act like children screaming up and down for us to pay attention to them because they are doing something taboo. It's old and tired. Again, I fast forward through crap and watch the good stuff. Takes me roughly 15-20 minutes to burn through a Raw or SD now.
-
No, but I'm guessing because Taker didn't feel like it.

On the latest Figure Four Daily radio show, Bryan Alvarez said the reason Matt Hardy was buried last night (and recently on TV) was because at Survivor Series at the end of the show where Taker was killing a bunch of guys to get to Orton, Matt was supposed to take a chokeslam. Well instead of taking it, he bailed out. The next day, Taker chewed Matt out in front of the entire lockerroom and guys in the back have now distanced themselves from Hardy. Part of his punishment was the 8-10 minute glorified squash match last night vs. JBL.

Really? Cause a week ago I just watched a Benoit/Regal match where Benoit head butted Regal to the point where both men were opened up hard way and Regal and Benoit are two of the best pro's out there. Hate to bring up the "this ain't ballet" bit, but if you look at everyone's closet, you are going to find skeletons. This argument that WWE guys don't hurt themselves vs the rest of the world is bullshit. Everyone who has any length of time in this business hurts someone, often times intentionally.
