Dangerous A

The Japan tour system is a model I'd like to see WWE adopt, or at least use as a base for what they do. You do shows for 2 1/2-3 weeks and usually build to a big show to end the tour. Then the guys get a full week and a half to two weeks off to heal and be with their families. This also gives the booking team time to get stuff in order. Creatively it might even help them out since you could use the start and end of the tour as your points of where you want to go with storylines. Sort of like "by the end of the tour, we want such and such to *fill in blank*" And you could do that for everyone on the roster. Another thing they may want to consider is more tag team and 6 man tag matches for main eventers. This helps because it's more taxing on the body working a 20 minute singles match than it is for a 20 minute tag or 6 man match. In Japan, the main eventers don't work singles unless it's a tour climax show that has been built up or they need an angle in the middle of a tour. Tag matches also help the green machines they have in that it sort of helps hide their shittiness and at the same time, gets them valuable experience IN THE RING with the vets who know how to work. It also helps in re-estabishing the lost art of tag team wrestling. You can also gauge how the crowd reacts to seeing different matchups they normally don't see on TV and seeing whether or not a future program between two people who have never been paired up will work or not.

Part of it is turning a blind eye to the problem. You figure everyone is coping with some sort of injury, so why is such and such different. Then there is the pressure to perform through injury because of fear that you'll lose A) income. They are paid per house show and TV appearance and B) fear of losing their spot because they are out. Basically, the whole WWE scene needs reform in one shape or another.

One difference is Davey Boy and Hawk were notorious for their other drug use while HHH is pretty much just a steroid user. HHH doesn't like to drink, even on occasions.

I wonder if they'll intertwine the cables with barbed wire or if they'll remove them completeley and go with only barbed wire. Either way, Abyss embraces crazy hardcore stuff like tacks and staples and Sabu is, well, Sabu. I'm pretty sure it'll be pretty brutal. I do like how they've developed the story that Abyss is afraid of the wire and sells it like it's kryptonite to him.

Also, you don't get as big as Eddie has gotten in the last year at his age without steroids. You are not going to see the word steroids on a WWE.com article. Ever.

Funeral is Thursday, not Wednesday in Arizona. They are keeping the location a secret so it doesn't become a fiasco.

My Tivo is set, but I think I'll watch this later in the week. I know there'll be a bunch of emotion pent up that I'm just not ready to let go of yet. I'll catch MNF or a basketball game, but the last thing I want to watch right now is wrestling. I'm just burned on it.

I had created a thread on Rome when the show first debuted. It got some play, but then died. I'm glad others have been watching because this series fucking 0wns. Titus Pullo is the man and don't you forget it.

I personally don't like Mark Madden, but I will give the man his credit when he is right. In this instance, he is right.

I also wonder how Eddie's death will figure into Chris Benoit's decision to re-sign or not with WWE. On one hand, he could feel that he needs to carry on for Eddie in WWE. On the flip side, perhaps this is a wake up call and he decides to take a break from a business that just took a good friend. I really am interested in seeing how this will effect Benoit in the next week or two.

It's weird because they are portraying Killings as a person who thinks Kip isn't bad and that Konnan is the only perso in the group with a problem with Kip. Not sure if the NAO reunion will have them face or heel. I am leaning towards face only because I've heard Konnan is trying to get a heel latino stable pushed.

Of course, they would love to have both men in, but for the sake of argument, if you were GM of TNA and were given one contract and told you could sign either Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit to a deal, who would you choose? Jericho obviously has better promo ability. Benoit brings the ability to have a great match with just about anyone, although Jericho isn't far behind in that regard. Jericho's personality is a bit more loud, but Benoit has more legitimacy behind his aura as well as the workrate god status. If you could only have one, who would it be?

Agreed. A lot of wrestlers really resent the internet/smark crowd. It's so hard to trust wrestlers because they are basically con men. However, a lot of so called news gets lost in translation before it hits the 'net and then wrestlers hear about it and hate it. In the wrestling world, there is the wrestlers side, the internet's side, and somewhere in between is the real story and truth.

I think this Sunday's Wrestling Observer Live show is one that you don't want to miss...

Kennedy needs to come up with a different finisher IMO. I like the move, but he's risking injury everytime he does it and he's probrably already accrueing cumulative damage. Kennedy is a Dr. Jho appointment waiting to happen. For his sake, I hope he gets a different finisher.
