If you want to get technical, he WAS a billionaire upon the company going public. Since then, there has been the XFL debacle and enough losses throughout the last 4 years that they have now gone from skimming the billion dollar mark to almost half of that. They have made profit the last several quarters cutting corners and doing a lot of overseas tours, but there were a lot of money losses to where yes, Vince is still very rich, just not nearly as rich as he was before 2001.

I didn't watch the show, but came across this blip... Why was Vince mad at Bischoff? Doesn't he remember he OWNS both brands? Why would he care if Bischoff or Teddy won or lost?

That Pho/Dal game made me forget the awful Kings first night outing. I just love this game. Barkley made some good points in post game. The Mavs can't feel good about this because they had to come back from 17 down and go to double OT to beat a team that is missing 3 out of 4 of it's best players from last year and it's best big man on the team.

Fuckin Kings. Way to come out and play like complete and total pussies. I know it's only the first game, but it's the Hornets. The Kings are playing like they are still in preseason mode and there is zero energy and no execution whatsoever. I'm still banking at the end of the season, the Kings will have a better record than the Hornets.

I would never buy a wrestling show based off of an announcer. I need a good show to get my money, not some guy talking. Sort of like how I'll never tune into a game just to hear the announcers calling the game.

For a newb, I commend you for bringing the common sense. Good news: Joey Styles calling the ppv is better than Coach. Bad news: It's a Raw ppv. Raw sucks.

With the number holding steady, I am not sure the Prime Time special will do all that much better. I think I predicted about 1.2-1.3, if they are lucky. Here is Meltz's take on this week's rating...

Goes both ways. Austin shouldn't leave everyone to hang, at the same time though, they needed to let Austin know from day one where this was all going. It's bad on Austin's part for agreeing and not following through, no matter how moronic. It's even worse on WWE for not telling Austin the plan or, worse, changing the plan on him in the middle of the storyline. Oh well, I wasn't buying the show whether Austin was on or not.

I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to sign this guy. He's great. Well, he WAS great.

I read 5 years/$50 Million. I'm still scratching my head over the Warriors giving Dunleavy 5 years/$44 million. They must see something I don't. While he's improved his scoring average, I'm not sure it warranted that kind of extention.

He'll be a spark plug off the bench, no doubt. However, I think Villaneuva dropping to Toronto or Granger dropping to Indiana turns out to be the real steal. Watch out of Francisco Garcia in Sac as well.

Man, after an extended abscence, I bring to you two shows within a week. If you haven't heard the first show, go download the excellent conversation/interview I had with TSM's own HTQ aka Hunter's Torn Quad. http://Radio.TheSmartMarks.com Which brings me to the new show. I have another guest who is also a prominent poster and personality here at TSM, none other than... The Dames!!! Dames and I hit on a number of topics, including... TNA Impact on Spike ROH Stuff WWE quick hitters (Warrior, Bret, etc) TSM history as well as his take on more than a few posters, mods, and other internet personalities as well as himself. Please send feedback for the shows here. Also, if you want the feedback or questions you have to be addressed on the next show to be more personal, you can send it to me at [email protected] and I'll make sure that HTQ and/or Dames gets the feedback. Enjoy, children!

Interesting that you ask, Coffey. Effective immediately, there won't be any more episodes of the "Danger Zone" for the forseeable future. Between work, dental procedures, and my wife, I cannot make the committment to doing a weekly show. Admin has let me know that if any of you are interested in doing your own show, that you can email him at [email protected]. If you really are interested in doing it, drop him a line. He was basically 80% of the show, I just provided the commentary and such. If you want to know how I got started with podcasting, PM me and I'll let you know what's up. Thanks to everyone who gave me their support. I really enjoyed doing it and still crave to learn more about doing radio in the future from a technical/school standpoint, although I may lean towards doing traditional sports talk radio as opposed to wrestling since that has so many peaks and valleys. Who Was Screwed Over The Most This Year?
Dangerous A replied to The Niggardly King's topic in The WWE Folder
Seconded -
I second Dogg on that one. It's an offseason issue. I'm interested to see how Chris Paul does against the Kings on opening night. Denver vs SA and Dallas vs Phoenix looks like it could kick a lot of ass opening night as well, plus they're TNT games. Thank God the NBA is back.

I couldn't agree more. Fuck The Source.

I'd love for them to play up Rod Strong and AJ more. As you elevate Strong (if that's ever in the books) Since AJ pretty much killed him in the first match, you could have Strong keep doing better and better against AJ and eventually when it's time, play up that they were the first match on Spike and have Strong eventually go over. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a Strong mark and want him to eventually become a player here in TNA. I just want the best storyline for him.

Thoughts? Complaints? Issues?

One question: Hey Jerry, can you take Jeff with you?

Depends on how big the tear is. If it's small and doesn't need surgery, time off will help. If he does need surgery to repair it, he could be out months instead of weeks.

While it's heartwarming to see these 2 put their beef aside, let's face it, there isn't any real money in a dual album together. (if that ends up being the case) Just like in wrestling, big money is made on feuds, hatred, and competition. Not mutual admiration and respect.

This was also brought up by Meltzer in the latest Observer. Petey was slated to win anyways, but he should've been happy to get the win, even if it was cheap being that Petey IS a heel.

And right after Palmer Canon already called them the Tolands last week. Excellent work there, 'E'. Way to come with the quality control. Morons.

Hoops for me as well. However that's easy because I'm a basketbal fanatic. What is up with the name? Taboo Tuesday? Lame.
