Aries is good enough to where I'd make an exception and sign him up. Aries would def get better money from WWE, but they wouldn't know what to do with him because if I'm not mistaken, he's around 5'6 or so. The X division is tailor made for Aries style and skill set. TNA would probrably give Aries a decent push, but who knows how long they'll be in business in terms of longevity. All depends on Aries wants and needs I suppose.

As a Kings fan, I'm skeptical of SAR joining the team. On one hand, he produces decent numbers. However, he holds the record for most years in the league without making it to the playoffs. I am not sure if that is just bad luck or if he has something to do with it. I know for sure that while he brings numbers, he doesn't bring winner intangibles to the table. Still, he can score facing up and with his back to the basket and I think he'll compliment Brad Miller effectively.(ideally speaking) So the starting five is... PG Mike Bibby SG Bonzi Wells SF Peja Stojakovic PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim C Brad Miller With the aquisition of SAR, I'm assuming Kenny Thomas gets bumped to 6th man or becomes trade bait. Losing Bobby Jackson sort of hurt because now the backcourt depth is low.(Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia) We should definitely keep Brian Skinner as he is a perfect backup Center.

The only way I think Aries goes over Daniels is if Aries and TNA came up with a deal to get him on the roster. Still, no matter who goes over, if this is given time, the match should be good/great.

Update y'all... I have set up an email account on hotmail. You can email me thoughts on topics I've hit on in past shows or just whatever is on your mind. Try to include pro wrestling in your emails since the show is based around wrestling, but they can be about other things. I will read emails on the show if they are related to a topic I'm touching on or are funny and insightful. You can sign off as just your poster name, your real name, or anonymous, it doesn't matter. It's the content I'm looking for. Also, don't be afraid to come with a counter argument to me if you disagree with something I have said. Counter arguing will not disqualify your email from being read on the air. Also, don't take it personal if your email doesn't make it on the show. I will probrably integrate pertinent emails for topics into my topic segments and save the final segment of the show for just a barrage of emails ranging in topics. Again, don't be afraid to shill or pimp whatever in your emails. Creativity is encouraged. Your email address for the show is: Radio at TheSmartMarks.com Thank you for your support... DA

People losing weight eating McDonald's only?
Dangerous A replied to Dangerous A's topic in Food Folder
How is eating every item on the menu and supersizing whenever possible for 30 straight days representing the "average american"? My thing is, it didn't take a movie for me to know that eating fast food all the time isn't good for you. If you can't figure that shit out, you need your head examined. Your bit McDonalds being bad for your cholesterol and such is right though. There isn't much healthy on the menu. However, I know a ton of "average americans" and the ones who love McDonalds eat there once a week tops. Spurlock's findings were not eye opening to me at all. Anyone with common sense could figure out eating every item on the menu for every meal for a month will fuck you up. -
"FUCKIN BIT ME!!!" Fred Williamson. "From Dusk til Dawn" "Our buns have no seeds" Owner of McDowell's on "Coming to America" They aren't my favorites, but they come to mind right now.

The time is good for me as well.

So I'm at my deskand I'm listening to The Jim Rome show which is being guest hosted by Andrew Scicilliano the next 2 days. Scicilliano brings up how Palmiero is being demonized by the media (and he should until he comes up with an explanation on how the steroids got in his system), but a guy like Jamal Lewis gets welcomed with open arms and hardly any scrutiny. While Lewis merely used his cell phone to contact some people, the contact was for a cocaine deal, which is no laughing matter. People who defended Lewis cited his "honesty" in the matter, while Palmiero lied and is allegedly cheating by using steroids. Which is worse to you? Lewis doing his time and coming clean, even though he participated in a drug deal or Palmiero allegedly lying about steroid use and cheating?

I know LJ had 5 kids at the time SI did that big article on athletes being illegitimate fathers. Who knows what number he is up to now? IIRC, Calvin Murphy has them all trumped with 14 kids in tow.

Don't forget about individual sports rivalries too. Ali/Frazier comes to mind. I'm not a tennis buff, but McEnroe/Connors is up there as well.
-
I'd love to agree with you raza (Skins fan BTW), except it's not much of a feud when the Redskins have only won 1 of the last 13 meetings between the teams. Unless this is like the Raven/Dreamer ECW feud where Dreamer never wins.

I just watched Royal Rumble 1992
Dangerous A replied to Team Angle Pusher's topic in General Wrestling
The squash match. Definitely a lost art in pro wrestling. A relic if you will. -
I thought the ppv's were $29.95? (like it's a big difference) It's the first TNA show that I plan on "buying" live. It's just the turnaround time for me getting the shows from friends is so long, most times it's not worth it to me. Hell, if I find something better to do on sunday evening, I may not end up getting the show and just comment on the end results.

I am about 90% Sacrifice is going to end with Jarrett standing tall, but I am going to go against my better judgement and order the show anyways. One, with the new radio show I feel it's sort of my responsibility to watch the show. (I usually watched the other ppv's a few weeks later when some people I know "somehow" got the show to me) Two, there is enough intrigue for me with all the other matches that I can dole out some money for this show. I really hope I don't regret this, though.

Eh, if the show is blow away good, the title isn't going to change what people think of it. The title is not that big a deal, but I do like the suggestions you came up with better than Bound for Glory. TNA's existence is because it was created as a vehicle for Jeff Jarrett to get over as a wrestling star and top dog. Jarrett being at the top or the focal point of the show isn't going to go away until he does, simple as that and he isn't going away anytime soon. That said, there is some hope of them at least being able to eventually break even on their losses. One thing is when they get TV, is they should change up. Start by not doing things WWE is doing. Get rid of the invisible camera in the lockerroom. Get the action, even if it's non wrestling match nature, out in front of the audience so they can react to it. There is much more intimacy that way and people may start developing a (gasp!) connection with the wrestlers. I know from personal experience that the live WWE and WCW TV tapings I've been to, fans don't react great when they are watching a big TV. WWE can get away with this since it's the norm, but TNA should look to do away with this type of thing. Another thing, get rid of entrance music and fog effects when there is a face to face in front of the live crowd. Give the show more of a feeling of sponteneity as opposed to a contrived feeling. I rewatched the segment when Jarrett and Rhino found out Sabu was Raven's partner and when Raven came out, he had special effects like lighting, fog, and music. Do away with that. That is WWE crap. Let them do that. TNA, with this new TV has a chance to do something really different. They need to think outside the WWE box/template and get creative. They aren't going to beat WWE at their game. Hello. It's their game. But what they need to do is change the game. Sorry to sound a bit corny, but they need to be revolutionary. I believe they have the personnel to just that. Now they just need the guy with the most power in the company to stand down a bit.

One novel cocept they need to think about if they do Jarrett/Raven II... No run-ins or ref bumps and give us a clean finish!!! That's just me though.

TNA Meeting with Spike about Promoting Impact
Dangerous A replied to TNABaddboi's topic in TNA Wrestling
In regards to TNA not having to pay Spike for TV time... The good news: Obviously, TNA doesn't have to shell out a ton of money every week for an 11pm Saturday night slot. (while it's nice to have TV, the slot still sucks) They were paying FSN 30 G's a week and since Spike is a bigger network, they would probrably end up paying more. The bad news: Something not mentioned is that TNA still has to pay it's production costs and Spike gets the ad revenue for the show. Basically it's free TV, but where is the revenue going to come from? They don't charge admission to their tapings or ppv's and don't do house shows If the DVD's don't sell extremely well and/or there isn't a PPV spike in buys, they are still a money losing company. From what I gather, even with the revelation that TNA doesn't have to pay for the spot, they are still a money pit, just a smaller growing one. -
HTQ on Day Six of the G1 Climax Tournament
Dangerous A commented on a blog entry in Straight Shooting
I think Kawada should've been booked how Akiyama was booked two years ago. I'm thinking NJPW has some WWE in them in that they still resent Kawada because he's associated as an All Japan guy (I know he's a freelancer) and so they book him weaker than Akiyama, who is a NOAH guy. I wouldn't doubt if it was Chono getting some WWE booker spirit in him to do the dumb thing and book the Kashin match the way he did as opposed to doing the right thing, which is you keep Kawada strong for the final four/finals before jobbing him out. -
Depends on your intents and purposes. A guy who is super hot who fans percieve as a champion (think Hogan and Austin) is a guy who you want to have a long reign and you build up guys to challenge them. That is how you maximize the money drawing end of wrestling. Fans want to see these men fend off the comers for their title. However, when business is not as hot and there isn't a star the likes of Austin or Hogan around, a guy like Flair is a guy to hold the belt until it's time to drop it because he has the credibility to carry the title even though he isn't a killer draw. HHH really has taken that part of Flair where, he isn't a draw, but he can credibly hold the title until it's time to drop it to the next big thing in hopes that the next big thing has drawing legs. HHH's problem is he's stale. When Flair was making his run throughout the 80's and early 90's, he wasn't nearly as stale, so it was ok.

I didn't say it was difficult. I said it hurts. It hurts because the storyline is dumb. Now, I'm not one of these guys that has to have all pure wrestling only with no entertainment, but I want good entertaiment and storylines. This is just cheesy in my opinion. I'll give Eddie and Rey credit in that they are going full bore with this and not half assing it. The angle would actually be worse if they did that. However, just because they are giving a good effort in execution doesn't mean that what they are executing isn't shit. Again, it's not difficult to follow. It just goes against common sense, which is painful to attempt to get over to non fans.

The Danger(ous) Zone The Morning Zoo on KCRAP with Boogerman and The Gang The TSM Hour of Power <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL at the Morning Zoo title. The TSM Hour of Power is a little vanilla, but I am seriously considering The Danger(ous) Zone. Also, as stated in the very first post, I have some original, royalty free music I plan on implementing in the next show to fade in and out of. I plan on building up a library of tracks to use on the show. Again, thank you all for your support. I want to give you guys the best show I can deliver.
